I don't even know how to rate this place because I believe food and service always go hand-in-hand -- so let's start with the good!
The pizza is amazing -- the marinara sauce is full of flavor, and the ingredients taste fresh. I especially like how the onions still had a bit of crunch. The Caesar salad was okay (a little heavy on the dressing), and the penne pasta I ordered was also tasty, with a nice hint of anchovy.
Now for the part that needs improvement -- the service. We were seated right away, which was great, but it took about 10-15 minutes before any server came to our table, even though several were standing around. Our server was friendly, but she only checked on us once. I had to ask another server for napkins and lemon, which took another 10 minutes to arrive. My pizza was also served without serving tools, which made it a bit inconvenient.
It felt like some of the servers just didn't want to be there -- maybe because it was Halloween night. When my husband paid, he mentioned that the person who handed him the receipt didn't smile or say much, which added to the off feeling.
Overall, the food deserves 4.5 to 5 stars, but the service brings the experience down. You're paying for both when you dine in, and I think that's important. I'd definitely try them again -- but maybe for takeout next time.
The bathroom facilities were okay in cleanliness -- not bad, but not great either.
