Always a favorite place! I have been a customer for 30 years! Great happy hour w free pizza & snacks. We enjoyed the complementary nuts but ordered a pizza. Large was very generous. We shared between 3 people & had half left over. Very friendly service & always a bonus to see Rocco!!

My first time coming here on a Wednesday evening with a large group after a rehearsal. The restaurant is huge and accommodating! We had a group of almost 20 and they sat us in the back and allowed us to move the tables. Very large family oriented restaurant and they have popcorn and peanuts there too! We ordered 2 family house salads that were huge and a couple of pizzas. The kids devoured their pepperoni and the dominator which is their house pizza with onions and meats was really good. Service was great, they boxed up our leftovers and even gave us ranch bottles to go along with tongs! I heard their to go options are really good too. The staff was amazing, they have TVs everywhere and you don’t feel rushed. Oh they even have breadsticks on the tables. Located in the same plaza as Whole Foods, there’s plenty of parking. I would def come back here with a large group!

We wanted to sit outside since it was a great night. We were told to pick any open table, and someone would help us. We waited a few minutes, looked over the menu, and figured out what we wanted. No one came by. I went inside and asked if anyone would help us. The friendly young woman said yes, let me get someone. We waited another few minutes and then got up with our menus and went inside and told the same person we wanted to sit inside so we could get helped. They ran out of room in the main dining room, so she told us to go to the back dining room through the bar. We picked a table and sat down. We were helped in 30 seconds with a warm welcome and water. All went well after that. The salad was large and had plenty of items in it. The small pizza was excellent and cooked just right and served hot. When we were done, it took too long to get our check. No biggie.

Ordered a pizza for pickup and arrived on time, only to wait 20 minutes before being told they had given my pizza to someone else. I was then asked to wait another 20 minutes while they remade it. Mistakes happen, but what really disappointed me was that no compensation, apology beyond a shrug, or effort to make it right was offered—not even a discount or a drink while waiting. I essentially paid full price for their mistake and lost 40 minutes total. Pizza might be fine, but the customer service and accountability were not. Probably won’t be back.

Came over to Rocco‘s to meet up with some old friends that live in Walnut Creek when we first came in it looked like it was a full house and that was a good thing. It meant that the food was gonna be good. We were briefly seated and Alex, our server took great care of us. We appreciate the hospitality and great customer service. The pizzas were also delicious and we enjoyed ourselves. Thank you guys at Rocco’s. Will be seeing you guys again soon.

Delicious pizza!!!!! The cauliflower crust pizza is chefs kiss! I ordered mine with pep, pineapple, and jalepeno! Did not disappoint!! Are the whole personal pizza to myself! No leftovers and it’s a pretty decent portion! Could definitely share it! The regular pep pizza is also seriously good! Ordered it extra crispy and it came out perfect! Highly recommend this spot! The bar and overall atmosphere is super chill and welcoming. Staff were awesome and very friendly!

Stopped by for lunch and ordered a pizza with garlic bread. The pizza had great flavor with thick crust, but was a bit floppy for me and the garlic bread was good, make sure to eat while hot. FYI the wings are not wings 😬. I love the atmosphere and want to return for dinner and see what it is like. Overall this is a place I will come back to eat at. 💥

We DoorDashed our order. Beef raviolis and eggplant parmigiano. The food was decent except for the small black rock I nearly broke a tooth on that I found in the eggplant parmigiano! I called Rocco's they said nothing they could do about it to contact DoorDash... okay, fine... we did. But the attitude came off like so what happens all the time. Terrible customer service. I worked 20yrs in the business... this is not how you win back diners.

On December 13th I hosted my Christmas Party at Rocco's Ristornate Pizzeria. I highly recommend the place for events. The party room is great and roomy. The service was great. Our server was Shannon. She was patient and attentive. Got our orders right with no problems nor complications. The food is delicious. I highly recommend it if you want delicious pizza. I am planning to have my 65th bday there.

Pizzas were good! Love their pepperoni and sausage, veggie and cheese pizza. We didn't love the dough and sauce as we prefer other places. Doughs kinda tough and we are such crust people and didnt love it here. I took another star away for the business owners response to other comments.

I don't even know how to rate this place because I believe food and service always go hand-in-hand -- so let's start with the good! The pizza is amazing -- the marinara sauce is full of flavor, and the ingredients taste fresh. I especially like how the onions still had a bit of crunch. The Caesar salad was okay (a little heavy on the dressing), and the penne pasta I ordered was also tasty, with a nice hint of anchovy. Now for the part that needs improvement -- the service. We were seated right away, which was great, but it took about 10-15 minutes before any server came to our table, even though several were standing around. Our server was friendly, but she only checked on us once. I had to ask another server for napkins and lemon, which took another 10 minutes to arrive. My pizza was also served without serving tools, which made it a bit inconvenient. It felt like some of the servers just didn't want to be there -- maybe because it was Halloween night. When my husband paid, he mentioned that the person who handed him the receipt didn't smile or say much, which added to the off feeling. Overall, the food deserves 4.5 to 5 stars, but the service brings the experience down. You're paying for both when you dine in, and I think that's important. I'd definitely try them again -- but maybe for takeout next time. The bathroom facilities were okay in cleanliness -- not bad, but not great either.

Rocco's is a family friendly restaurant with great service. We came on a busy afternoon and were seated quickly. We shared a large pizza, minestrone soup, and salad between the three of us. On the pizza we for a half cheese and half pepperoni, mushroom, and olive. The great thing was that even thought we go half cheese they gave us the full amount of toppings on the other side so it was loaded - not all pizzerias do this so it's appreciated. The pizza was great in terms of crust thickness and taste overall. The soup is flavorful and the salad was fresh and crisp. Rocco's also has crayons and toys to keep the little ones occupied. Highly recommend Rocco's for a family outing.

I had a team party here for work and we had great service and the food was amazing!! All for a very decent price! Definitely would go back!

If you go to Rocco's, take a picture of your final bill. They have a bad habit of inflating the tips. our recent visit I tipped 15% but they added an additional $3. I have photos to prove it. This is the 4th time they have done this to us. We complained after the previous 3 times and the manager reimbursed us the difference. It's apparent that management condones this practice. It's time to report them to authorities and BBB.

Had been meaning to try this place for a while and finally made it on a Sunday early evening. We had the chopped Italian salad and a small Mario's pizza. The salad was really good - chopped cubes of cheese and salami with sun dried tomatoes, pepperoncini and more. A really solid salad. Small pizza was good sized. Crust was crispy. Overall, a good pizza.

We tried the pizza here, I order a 14" gluten free pizza with the option of 3 toppings, my fiancé order a Medium half cheese and half pepperoni, he order an garlic cheese bread, 2 meatballs for our little one and two soft drinks; all dine in. We went on a Saturday and there was no waiting. They have a dinning area, and a bar area as well. Food and service was good, we will definitely visit again and try mother items in the menu.

We went on December 30th for lunch. There was a little wait to get in as there was a whole school group in front of us. It was chilly outside, but they still sat outside for their pizza party. Some had short sleeves on, but no one seemed to mind. They offered us our choice of tables. We sat in-front next to the window. I ordered the egg plant parmigiana and my Dad had the Mediterranean salad. Both were delicious. The Eggplant Parmigiana came with steamed veggies. Carrots, Brussels Sprouts, and broccoli. They were steamed just right, but needed some flavoring added to it. I would order the Eggplant Parmigiana again, it was very tasty and a large serving. The salad my dad got was big enough for 4 to share, thus we had lots of leftovers. My dad tried the eggplant and really liked the marinara sauce that was covering it. He'd order that sauce again.

Recent dishes ordered such as pizza and their fresh pasta is delicious. I enjoy that you have the option of pasta, sauces, and toppings. Service is pleasant and the place has plenty of seating. The bad: Someone needs to clean up , redecorate, reorganize, and put things away. Random things are out all over the place making it feel like a hoarders fantasy.

Rico's has good pizza but I don't go often as it's pricey as most are. You get ample toppings and it holds up, your toppings aren't sliding off as you get your piece and move to bite. It's hit and miss sometimes but not enough to say "I won't be returning" sometimes it comes wet and soggy. I will when I'm in the area if Pizza is on my mind as I feel Rocco's is more flavorful in my personal opinion and expectation than Mt. Mikes or Round Table.

Did you know they charge no corkage fee for up to 2 bottles of wine!! I know! I was so excited to learn this. We had a great dinner with friends Friday night and shared our favorite bottle of wine with them. We also tried the chipotle pesto sauce for the first time with gnocchi - it was different but good. I think I still prefer their pesto or their bolognese sauce (creamy red sauce with meat).

Rocco's is a super nostalgic restaurant, amazing for lunch and dinner. I'd strongly recommend eating at the restaurant bc the food is best when served fresh. Also a great place for a kids bday and family event, 5 stars

Rocco's Ristorante Pizzeria is a great pizza place that offers delicious pasta and pizza options. The locals love this place, and it easy to see why it's been feeding the community for many years. We had a birthday party for our son a couple months back, and chose to order several pizzas. It was our first time trying their food, so we ordered different specialty pizzas. Everyone loved the food. The patata pizza without pancetta was a huge hit with friends looking for a veggie option. Several friends and family members wanted to know where we ordered the food, we were happy to share that it's from Rocco's. The staff is very friendly, and they have great nightly specials. The ambiance is inviting, you can head to the left for high top tables in the bar area. The right area of the restaurant has more tables for bigger groups. Their pasta is great also, recommend the clams in red sauce. Support this local business, you will quickly understand why it is a big hit in the area!

While Rocco's is always busy (they have a decent sized bar area and dining room area) their service is spot on all the time. Friendly, attentive staff and delicious food. There are daily and happy hour specials. Sundays is a 3 topping large pizza discount and 1/2 priced pitchers. We had such a great lunch today. Pizza was loaded up with our 3 toppings. Salad was cold, fresh and also didn't skimp on quantity. I've always love rocco's food and can't wait to go back, this visit was long over due.

Their Sunday/Monday 3 topping pizzas for $18.39 are well worth it and they're great pizzas.

Family atmosphere. Great pizza, it's thinner, but the crust is so delicious. The staff was attentive and great for our larger party of 15.

Rocco's is our family's go to place for Italian in the Concord/Walnut Creek area. Our girls went to Carondelet HS and would often end up at Rocco's for dinner after golf practices with their teammates. They introduced Rocco's to the rest of the family and now our son is addicted too! Rocco's is very friendly and welcoming. Good vibes from friendly staff all around. Busy and bustling atmosphere but not too noisy to chill and have a conversation. Some outdoor seating available too but unfortunately right next to busy parking lot so we usually prefer indoor. Our kids absolutely love Rocco's fusilli bolognese and grandpa loves the fettuccine Alfredo. I usually go for their pizza. Portions are generous and take out is just as good as dine in.

Love this place, it has and indoor and outside settings;this place has a good long table for gatherings and their Italian food specially the pizza are delicious, good customer service from the waitresses and kitchen staff, highly recommended.

Most delicious pizza, the place was packed so you know it's good! My picky Italian husband even agreed, best pizza we have had in a very long time, thank you. The service did not disappoint either. The young waitress' were on top of their tables. Will def come Back next time we are in the area.

If you're looking for a local Italian joint with all the stylings of a family owned restaurant and none of the pretense of a corporate chain, this is your place. Feel like part of the family and enjoy the home cooked taste while sitting under a Vespa hanging from the ceiling. Large pizzas that are ACTUALLY large! They haven't scaled the portions back a bit. I've never met a carb I didn't like, and you can find many of my fav's at Rocco's! The service is fast and friendly and the Peroni is ice cold. ...and yes Rocco, I'm available for hire but only as a literary hitman.

We arrived at 3:55pm to Rocco's for an early dinner...we were seated at 4:00pm but was not approached for our order... we finally left at 4:35 with absolutely no service... would not recommend

Been here a few times over the years. This place has definitely went downhill. Food was decent very oily and sloppy. We went with a decent size group and owner acted like we were an inconvenience. After we finally were seated we waited 15 minutes for a waitress to arrive. There were less than 20 people in the restaurant at the time. Only seen a server one more time. Had to get our own refill. Definitely will never go back and DEFINITELY would NOT recommend this place to anyone.

We came to Rocco's on a mission: for Low Carb Me they are one of the rare Pizza places that also feature a cauliflower crust. My wife, not under the same restrictions, can torture me by ordering the normal thick crust variety! I liked that even with the cauliflower pizza you still had an abundance of topping choices like normal. I ordered mine with olives and chicken, while my wife had the thick crust barbecue chicken pineapple pizza. We loved the vibe of the place: family-run and proud of it the interior features an eclectic mix of murals and souvenirs that tell the story of their restaurant and family history. The pizzas were delicious and the cauliflower crust did not take away from the pizza experience. It was a delightful sit down lunch and we had leftovers for another meal!

We've never eaten inside of Rocco's but it's become our go-to takeout pizza spot. Pro move, order on their website for takeout and you get a discount. Anyways, we order a pepperoni pizza almost every week, with light cheese and cooked well done. It's tasty! The crust actually has great flavor, the cheese is good, and the pepperoni is crispy and curls into nice cups. I really only have one complaint: sometimes the pizza really isn't too warm when I go to pick it up. I don't know where they hold the pizzas after they're done, but I wish they would stay a bit warmer. I've also tried their garlic bread and brussel sprouts. Both were good but nothing to write home about. I'd just ask them to cook the sprouts for longer if you want them crispier. Staff are friendly and the vibes inside seem great. I hope to try more of the menu soon! Overall pretty dang good pizza for a good price.

Servers are so nice and friendly. Pizza is perfectly prepared and the selection is amazing. The balance on ingredients and crust is how pizza should be. Try the vegetarian offerings it will not disappoint. We went in group of 15 hungry males with on vegetarian and everyone was happy and was well taken cared of. Plenty of parking and nearby shops to walk after the feast. Plenty of posted already by others and no need to add, just come hungry. :)

Been coming here 20 years. Great food, great atmosphere, friendly staff. They seriously need a few new, bigger TV's in there. For football and other sports. A couple bigger ones above the bar. And a couple more in the back room. We're so spoiled now with 70" TV's in our homes. It's hard to crane your neck and stare up at 35" TV's that are 15 years old. That's my only gripe. That and they get my pizza order wrong 30% of the time because nobody knows how to use a pen and paper anymore to write stuff down. Still love this place!!

Tonight's dining experience was great! I was craving pasta and all the food came out piping hot and delicious, luckily it wasn't too oily this time. Our server, Sara, made sure we were well taken care of. Thank you!

Hurry Up and Eat I was taking some kids to go audition for Blue Devils B Drum Corps this past January, and we were in a hurry for lunch because the kids only get so much time to eat. We drove to Rocco's which was down the road a bit, but not too far. When we arrived I asked the waitress, if it takes long to get the pizzas here, and she said no. The kids ordered a pizza and some other items. I figured the pizza was going to take a while, but it came out fast and HOT!! We enjoyed it as the cheese slipped off the crust it was so hot. Game Night Because it was a Sunday and the Playoffs were on, we were trying to catch the Buffalo Bills Game versus someone, I can't recall. I asked the waitress if it was usually this busy and that if we came back after auditions for dinner did we have to actually get a dinner table or could we sit somewhere and watch the game. She said we could enjoy the game and some appetizers in the bar area. Overall, I think the place was great! It had a busy atmosphere and great seating areas and even large enough rooms for private events. I will try to go back in the future, but we will see what the future holds! Had dinner last night with my 4 year old Twin Grandkids. We wanted something fast and kid friendly. Did we hit the spot. Walked in on a Friday around 6:30. Got seated right away. Took a little while for the waitperson to show up. We were ready to order. She was very helpful on ordering for kids. I wanted their Margarita pizza with 4,cheeses and top with Arugula. She right away said the kids would most likely not like that kind of Cheese pizza. So I ordered a small and we ordered a Med or Large half cheese and half pepperoni. Also a small or half Caesar. Food came out very fast. First salad and then Pizza's. This place is very active with a brisk To Go pick up. Pizza's were pretty good. We ordered too much but the bill was very reasonable. Definitely will go back for some of the pasta dishes. Full bar would be fun on a Night game with Niners.

Sorry Rocco. I sent you an email and you ignored me. I had no choice but to tell others you deserve less than a one star rating. We went in on Father's Day and had our adult kids. Both my husband and I wear reading glasses as we are in our 60s, and eyes do go bad when you get older. My husband asked for the names of beers on tap and your server pointed to tiny print on the table. My husband could not read the tiny print and told the server she was lucky as she had young eyes. Your server left and 15 minutes later your manager came over. Your server had complained and said we were racist because my husband told her she had young eyes. In hindsight It is obvious the server was inexperienced and not able to read people and situations, and because of that we were not served. How is "having young eyes" a racist comment.? Your manager then came over and talked to us and said she would get another server to help us as she could see where the misunderstanding stemmed from. She then proceeded to ignore us and we left after being ignored another 20 minutes. We then went to Mello's pizza and had a great experience. When you ignore my emails and only respond to a bad comment to defend horrible service, this is not ok. I tell everyone I can about the treatment and they all are flabbergasted and think we are right in never setting foot in your restaurant again. Sorry, your server was terrible and your manager didn't help the situation.

The best gluten free pizza I have had in the East Bay, their salads are very good too!

It was my first time at rocco s pizza and I was very disappointed at this pizza place . The person that waited on me and my family was very rude and gave me rolled her eyes around at me. I will never come back to this restaurant ever again.

Loved the lasagna, the beer. The salmon linguini had very little flavor. Still took home leftovers and tried to perk up. Waitress never came back to check on how the food was

We were seated promptly but waited for fifteen minutes without being acknowledged by a server. Eventually, I approached the front desk to inquire if someone would be taking our order. A server did come by shortly after to take it, but that was the only interaction we had until she returned at the end of the meal with the bill. Throughout the entire dining experience, there were no check-ins or follow-ups. The food was good, but the service (or lack thereof) was disappointing enough to discourage a return visit.

Many people have recommended this place to me but I was a bit skeptical given some of the reviews on here, but it was quite good! The crust was moderately thick and quite fluffy. The toppings were tasty and piled quite high. The price was a bit high, but not awful. The pizzas aren't quite as fancy as some places (like Pizzalina), but still very tasty and well-made (like Skipolini's).

This is a tried and true restaurant in Walnut Creek. Over the years have ordered pizza and pasta and have always enjoyed it Fresh and hot!!! However I definitely will skip the wings next time I order Great friendly service

There are lots of tables at this restaurant. They have pictures that people have colored and pages with titles and lyrics to songs. They have little round metal buckets with salt, pepper, red pepper flakes, small packages of breadsticks, napkins and even Trivial Pursuit cards in them to keep people entertained. I was waiting for water but as soon as the server came over and asked if we all knew what we wanted to eat and drink I was served my beverage soon after. I got gnocchi in Alfredo sauce. The gnocchi itself was very soft and pillowy. The sauce was a tad bit bland but after getting some parmesan cheese and some salt for it the taste improved. I would rate my dish at 3 stars. My husband had the cannelloni. He ate about half of it. He gives it a rating of 2 stars. Our daughter had a steamed mussels and calamari appetizer. She wanted to give her food a rating of 100 stars but found out the rating system and said 5 stars. My FIL had chicken parmesan and LOVED it. He easily rated his food at 5 stars. My MIL had eggplant parmesan. She rated her dish 3 stars. However she told me that the best dish she's ever had here was linguine with clams in a white sauce.

It pains me to write this but I have to.. I love the pizza here it's some of the best in the east bay but it seems like everything else on the menu was made by a lunatic. Every time I order a non pizza item it comes with some weird, bad twist that I've never seen anywhere else. I just opened my Cesar salad and there's half a boiled egg in it... WHYYYYY?? I've never wanted or seen that on a Cesar salad. LESS IS MORE!!! Similarly I opened my pasta with marinara sauce and there's huge chunks of mushrooms in the sauce and again I'm dumbfounded I can't understand this. I'm genuinely begging the owners of this place to cut the pasta menu in half and remove all these wacky ingredients. It's better to do a few things right than a bunch of stuff like someone who doesn't belong in a kitchen. Again the pizza (and beer) is fantastic but everything else could not get any worse.

I was pleasantly surprised. My buddy suggested this place to meet. I knew of it. I walked by many times, seen people eat outside, but never felt the urge to try (and I love pizza). Inside is kinda run down, we waited a while for our server, and the plates they gave us were dirty. The Sunday special is a large 3 topping pizza for $19 and I was pleasantly surprised. It was huge and tasted pretty good. All three of us were full from a salad and the pizza. I'd go back for the pizza special cause it's a great deal, but I wouldn't pay regular menu pricing cause there is much better pizza in the area at similar price points.

This place always strikes the comforting feelings of childhood coming here to eat pizza since I was little. The pizza is almost always a 5/5. Fresh cheese, fresh sauce with the immaculate doughy texture of the crust that has the perfect balance of saltiness. Their ranch is incredible, and pairs nicely with the pizza. I ordered a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale to complement the food. Not my favorite beer, but it doesn't disappoint when there are limited options on tap. What makes this review 3 stars is the service. It's been a running joke with my brother about how whenever we go to Rocco's, we're looking forward to the poor service and dehydration that comes with the lack of server check ins, resulting in 0 water refills. It's unfortunate because I honestly would come here more if the service wasn't so bad. I came last night with my brother and sat at the bar area, with a lady managing it. We both received the same energy from her. Our observation was that she seemed inconvenienced and irritated every time we needed to ask for something, including our order. I've honestly never been to a restaurant before where you have to literally go out of your way to make an order and/or ask for something. Obviously, you have to do that sometimes when a place is busy, but it was a Sunday night and there was hardly anyone at the bar. Anyways, if you are looking for some good pizza, this is the place. Just don't eat here if you want decent service.

I tried The Dominator and added black olives and bell peppers to give it a combo-style twist. The wifey picked it up for me while celebrating her sister's birthday, so I can't speak to the service or ambiance - but I can say the pizza was absolutely delicious. No pictures this time (I need to get better at that!), but I'd definitely return if I get the chance.

The food was phenomenal, I had the spicy chicken breast with zucchini, red peppers, and pasta. I also tasted my daughter's risotto. The ambiance was noisy, but you can't help it.

Inside is pretty chill just like a typical italian pizzeria in italya down the alley. Been coming here for a while now because the food here is great, i just have to prep. myself every time before going and that is to be patient (service sucks and you have ask for water because i you don't you will never get serve water) 5 always for the food 2 for dining service

Food..service..ambiance all great. We were on our way to a concert at the Concord Pavillion but needed to eat first. I was afraid this shopping center was the last of the places to eat before we got there, so I pulled in. There were a handful of places to choose from. So I jumped on here and the reviews and photos was all I needed to make the decision. We walked in and the decor of the place was eclectic but all things Italian. Their dining area is separate from a bar area with high boys and all. They also had patio seating if you like that best. We were seated right away and given our menus. We first ordered our drinks.I ordered an Arnold palmer and the husband a Corona. I then ordered a "small salad" that specifically states on the menu its enough for 2. I asked if we could have the dressings on the side as we wanted different dressings. She said yes. When she brought it out the salad was huge, vibrantly colored and had 2 servings of dressing each. I liked out the ingredients were kept separate. They weren't all mixed in do you could pick and choose what you wanted. Next up our entree. We decided upon a medium pizza. It was 1/2 The Dominator and 1/2 Dante's Inferno. A medium is 8 slices total. The types of pizza we chose were their specialty and most popular. Can't complain. Crust was crispy and chewy inside. Toppings were delicious and they didn't skimp on the toppings. Waitress checked on us periodically. Made sure our drinks were never empty and made us feel welcomed. If ever we are in this neck of the woods we will need to come by again!

They have really good food and they make a delicious tiramisu I enjoy the live music & the staff is very friendly.
