"As tempting as the molcajetes might be, a venture into the tacos section of the menu at Palm Beach County’s own Rocco Tacos is highly recommended. Standouts are the birria tacos, accompanied by beef broth for dipping. or the fish tacos with fried mahi mahi, shaved cabbage, and chipotle aioli." - J. Miller

This place was simply amazing! I loved the atmosphere and ambiance, indoor and outdoor. I loved the way the staff were so welcoming and helpful. I loved how they made the guacamole fresh infront of you. The tacos were to die for and drinks were just how I liked it. Highly Recommended if looking for Mexican food in West Palm Beach.

Rocco's Tacos delivers a vibrant and energetic atmosphere, especially during their bustling Wednesday Happy Hour (4-7pm). The restaurant was packed, both at the bar and in the dining area, creating a fun, albeit crowded, vibe. The Happy Hour menu features a good variety of discounted drinks, including cervezas and margaritas, perfect for unwinding after work. We started with the chips and salsa, a classic that didn't disappoint. For our main course, we sampled the tacos from the Happy Hour menu, opting for both the beef and chicken. Both were excellent – the meat was moist, flavorful, and generously portioned, a definite highlight. While the food was a standout, the service could have used some improvement. A little more attentiveness, such as offering water upon arrival, would have elevated the experience. It's also important to remember that Happy Hour specials are restricted to the bar and a few select tables, so plan your seating accordingly. Overall, Rocco's Tacos is a great choice for a casual and fun night out, especially if you're looking to capitalize on their Happy Hour deals and enjoy some delicious tacos. Just be prepared for a lively crowd and potentially spotty service.

No complaints! Ventura took care of us and helped us have an awesome first experience! Very knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations and just had a superb attitude which, believe it or not, is rare to come by is hospitality these days! Tacos, guacamole & margarita was great, no complaints there. Dessert was not that great to be honest (just not good consistency nor very flavorful). Definitely coming back!

Google
I really enjoyed the waiters, the guacamole served and the atmosphere. Though I do find it odd that they seat people so close together, who wants to dine with strangers, not I. Luckily when I requested a new seat they gave us options. The food was okay. The nacho photos looked better online and I didn’t like the sweet beef. It said it was spicy but all I tasted was sugar/cinnamon.

I usually don’t write reviews like this, but felt it was necessary after our experience at lunch on Friday, April 18 around 2:30 PM. We were seated promptly, but after waiting about 15 minutes with no one coming by to take our order or even ask about drinks, I had to return to the host stand to ask for a server. Kyle eventually came over about 5 minutes later to take our order. Unfortunately, two out of the three meals were incorrect when the food arrived, and we still hadn’t received our drinks. We waited another 10 minutes after getting our food, but Kyle never came back with our drinks. We ended up going to the bar ourselves just to get waters. Throughout the entire meal, no one came by to check on us. Kyle only returned to clear our plates and drop off the check. The whole experience felt like an afterthought, and it really soured our lunch. I hope this feedback helps improve service going forward.

Rocco's is so very consistent with healty offerings. Our late afternoon luch/business meet-up was excellent. No matter which one I go to, the food, service, and offerings are spot on. It's a no miss kinda place. Evenings for dinner and margaritas is a great choice, including Taco Tuesday! I've never been disappointed. The facility in Delray can be pretty difficult to get in after 5:30 on Friday and Saturday nights.

Google
I think we're writing off Rocco's once and for all. When we first moved down here 10 years ago, Rocco's was amazing. Nowadays, not so much. The last three times we've come for lunch or dinner, we've had a poor experience. Each time, we've had poor service. Waiting very long just to have a server do an initial greeting and take drink orders. Then, waiting a while for chips and not getting any salsa! Speaking of drinks, their margaritas went from very good to poor. Glasses are all ice and since it doesn't melt much, I suspect there's not much alcohol in them either. As far as the food, only one of our party enjoyed theirs. Again, something that never would've happened a few years ago. On top of all that, the place was uncomfortably cold. Even our server put on a sweater! Probably explains why the place wasn't too crowded for a Saturday.

Google
I did get this for takeout however it was better than expected. I highly recommend the taco burger! I was unsure how it would be but it exceeded all expectations. This is also a nice place with good service and a nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating and most importantly, good food!

Dennis I.

Yelp
The tacos, the decor and vibe were really nice. I definitely plan to be back. Also, thought their side salad was perfect. Looks like a great happy hour too.

Yelp
On our weekly date night, we were actually heading to the restaurant next door, but decided to try Rocco's because there's always a crowd. There's a nice seating area outside with plenty of seating with fire pits and things. The inside was dimly lit with beautiful light fixtures and large booths. We were sat inside immediately without a reservation. Our waiter was prompt to bring us waters and take our initial appetizer orders. I ordered the table side guacamole (pretty pricy) and we also had the Watermelon Kiss cocktail. The guacamole was decent, but I probably wouldn't order it again. I did like that they gave us some time between bringing the appetizer and taking our food order. For the main courses, I was simple and had the chorizo tacos & asked for the cheese to be omitted. We also ordered a steak quesadilla with chorizo added. Food presentation was nice. They brought some house made spicy sauce out. As for the taste, this is a Tex-Mex restaurant so the chorizo does not taste like the authentic Mexican chorizo which was a little disappointing. My tacos came out with cheese, but I just took it out. I wasn't a fan of the taste but I was hungry so it worked. The quesadilla wasn't very appetizing either. We eat a lot of authentic Mexican food so I think our expectations were a bit high. Our server was very attentive the entire time. If you're looking for an authentic taste, this is not your spot. If you're looking for good drinks, definitely come here because they do those very well. It's also pretty expensive for what it is so keep that in mind as well.

Yelp
This Rocco's is bigger than it looks on the inside. There's lot of tables on the outside bar that extends from the inside. Came to this location for happy hour with my work team and the inside bar was sufficient for us. The bartender (lady) was nice but she didn't check on us much. Always had to stop her but definitely a hard worker. We ordered some pitchers, regular margaritas as well as a strawberry one. Both were really good. Also ordered some apps, the chips and cheese (not good) and salsa (decent). I ordered the chicken nachos which I initially had from the downtown location. These nachos were good but not nearly as good as those from Clematis which was even more cheesier and chock full of chicken. The bathroom was clean...the vibe is cool!

Doron S.

Yelp
Wow, what an amazing Mexican restaurant! I definitely recommend coming here to eat because the food is absolutely to die for. The scenery is so awesome, there are such decorative chandeliers and masks that bring so much Mexican culture to the restaurant. Very clean and great service. 10/10!

Pearl L.

Yelp
Excellent bartenders, spicy guacamole was delicious and the outside bar is great! Can't wait to go back!

Glory G.

Yelp
It's not awful -- but def not authentic or something to go out of your way for. Everything is ridiculously overpriced... $6-10 for 1 taco?? But overall the meat is flavorful and they do season/marinate it well. My chicken was dry and overcooked but I've also had it when it was fine. The rice is parboiled so it tastes like boxed Goya yellow rice but the refried beans are pretty good! Don't expect free chips and salsa, expect to be paying palm beach prices here. But at least you'll feel safe and have a beautiful ambience and decor to look at

Theresa E.

Yelp
I'm not sure i understand why there are so many positive reviews for this place. The food had zero flavor, the tables were packed in like sardines, and it was loud. The service wasn't bad, the staff was attentive, but the food was not worth a dime. It was awful! Not authentic whatsoever. However, if you're not used to eating flavorful food/ don't have much experience dining-- you may enjoy this. It's definitely an *American* taco spot. P.s. if you make the mistake of eating here, ask for the hot sauce.

Stephen G.

Yelp
Average food, below average margarita and overpriced. Should have went to PapiChulo's

Johanna G.

Yelp
Nice outdoor sitting, staff was very kind and helpful. My previous experience at Rocco's tacos was at the FLL airport and was very bad. I have to say that this time was much better. They have a real fresh guacamole and it was really good. Food is ok. I really didn't like the nachos...

Abbey S.

Yelp
a great neighborhood joint! open, airy interior and lots of outdoor seating in a cute patio, with outdoor tiki bar as well. tables and dishes have a fun, bright, colorful vibe. guac made-to-order right at the table. we really enjoyed this and the chips that came with it were soooo flavorful, strawberry house margarita was very refreshing and reduced price for margarita monday! my dad (& apparently fish taco connoisseur) said the fish tacos were bland and my mom and i weren't OBSESSED with the chicken tacos, but we did love our steak / shrimp tacos. street corn side was very tasty. service was good and ambience was great. large parking lot. i would go back but would try something different.

Bob B.

Yelp
We had a delightful lunch at Rocco's. First, the staff, from the hostess and manager to our server, was terrific. Taylor, the server was outstanding - she cheerfully arranged to customize our dishes, from the chips and guacamole to the dip for our flautas. The hostess took care of my wife's walker with a smile and a wave. The decor is cheery and open, the ceilings high and chairs comfortable. Our food was great. The guacamole smooth and flavorful- and the preparer put a plate of chopped jalapeños on the side to accommodate our different tastes. The flautas were perfectly cooked - so frequently they are hard, like a Shillelagh, but these were firm, but tender. My Chili Relleno was excellent. The breading did not overpower to pepper that it coated. Finally, the drinks were perfect, from the "house" Margarita to the Spicy Mango Margarita. Overall a great meal and experience.

Patty W.

Yelp
I came here to celebrate my husband's birthday. We went on a Sunday afternoon and it was nice. There wasn't a crowd and we were able to get seated after checking in for our reservation. The mango margarita was a nice start and the five of us shared the guacamole with chips. I went for the burrito bowl with chicken minus the hot sauce and pico de gallo. It was really good and I plan to enjoy the leftovers for lunch :) Our waitress was super sweet and there were times that it took longer than others when we needed something. I don't know if it was short staffed and it wasn't busy, so I'm not sure what the deal was with that. It was a nice early dinner and we had a fun time!

Paula M.

Yelp
We go to Rocco's all the time. Love the food and always have good service. Last night we had EXCEPTIONAL service. Our waitress was Taylor and she was a pro. She was pleasant, she was around when we needed her but never hovered. She was so accommodating. What an enjoyable night. Thank you Taylor!

Kate L.

Yelp
Ambiance was lovely, service was good the food had very little flavor. The salsa was watery and red and that was it. No one asked us if we wanted anything else or coffee or dessert. An additional charge for watery salsa for my dry taco. Sad to waste the money on sub par flavor but fun to see friends.

Ms. C.

Yelp
The margarita was okay and my mojito was better. The presentation of the birria tacos were cute although they were a bit crunchier than ones I've had in the past.

Rod H.

Yelp
Good food and a fun atmosphere. If you go, you have to order the fresh guacamole and chips. Worth. Every. Penny. Entrees are good, but portions are sizable. And if you order the guacamole and chips, you will likely not have room to finish your meal. So come hungry. Highly recommend.

Molly W.

Yelp
Way better than yelp rating. The chips and dips were yummy. Have had better margaritas though. Service great

Nick S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Coming from New York. This was unexpected to have such great shrimp tacos. I highly recommend if you're in the mood

Morgan R.

Yelp
So, we decided to come to Rocco's again after two years of not going. It was on a whim for our anniversary because we were craving the guac. Unfortunately, it was an even worse experience. The $50 pitcher was straight water and sugar. I hadn't eaten all day and I weigh 110lbs, so I usually feel my alcohol. We couldn't taste or feel anything. We were so grossed out by drinking sugar water that we asked to send the pitcher back and pay for the half that we drank. We understood that we drank some and that it was only fair to pay for that portion. The waiter was taken completely off guard, and completely avoided us for the rest of the night. Literally didn't even ask us how the food was after it came out, but we watched him visit his other tables multiple times. He didn't even alert the manager, who was surprised to hear our feedback after we paid. The hostess, guac person, and manager were extremely kind. We have buyers remorse and it honestly ruined our whole night. We were very kind in asking to send it back, even offering to pay. There was no reason we should've been avoided for the rest of our time. We couldn't wait to get out of there. I didn't even eat my meal because I was so uncomfortable. Now, we truly will never be caught dead here again. Should've went to PapiChulos for a real marg and better food for a cheaper price.

Jackie F.

Yelp
Food is way overpriced and bland. I was excited to dine here for the first time. Now I know, it ain't all that.

Dwayne P.

Yelp
Glenn was the man!!! He had the best recommendations on food & drinks .... Plus he has the mustache in Florida!!!

Jasmine S.

Yelp
So we went here because we wanted to try a good taco spot and was recommend by someone. When we arrived we at 4:30 they said there was no seating available except at the bar but we had a 3 year old with us and asked to sit in a booth or a lower table. They said no. We pointed out 3 or 4 empty tables before the hostess rolled their eyes and said fine. We then waited 30 minutes and asked for service and they said there was no one available right now so we decided to cut our loses and just leave. A whole lot of people walking around but no body taking orders or seemed to be bringing out any food. Definitely would NOT recommend!

Corey G.

Yelp
I did get this for takeout however it was better than expected. I highly recommend the taco burger! I was unsure how it would be but it exceeded all expectations. This is also a nice place with good service and a nice ambiance with indoor and outdoor seating and most importantly, good food!

Bill G.

Yelp
Stopped by for a quick lunch. Ambiance was very good. A lot to take in. Visually interesting. My house pear margarita on the rocks was great. For a quick lunch I ordered the flautas. They were very goodd good, lightly fried with a pile of sour crème, avacado chopped tomatoes, green onion, etc in the middle. Excellent. I'll be back.

Katherine B.

Yelp
Incredible! The service was phenomenal. My family went last night and our server was fantastic! Food was incredible as well. We ordered the nacho appetizer with chicken, big hit with our group! We each got an entree and each were very good! Now for dessert! The Key Lime pie was probably the best dessert I've ever had. We also ordered the churros and the brownie which were both delicious! The outdoor seating was very nice! Great ambiance. It was warm obviously but it's September is Florida, so that comes with the territory. Overall, 100/10. The service alone was a game changer! I wish we got our servers name, but he was incredible!

Grant P.

Yelp
Rebecca was amazing! Very efficient and respectful. Best service we have had in a very long time! She deserves a raise!!

John C.

Yelp
My wife and I enjoyed an absolutely wonderful al fresco lunch at Rocco's Tacos, hosted by Marlene who is an absolute joy. The three sauces that come with the homemade, seasoned tortilla chips are very flavorful. The chile rellenos are among the best we have ever tasted: perfectly steamed pepper, not too chewy, not too soft and the batter is crisp and light. Tacos were amazing as expected. We tried the Carne Molida and Chorizo tacos - outstanding, incredibly well seasoned - perfectly balanced. We definitely will return next time we are in Palm Beach Gardens!

Nick Q.

Yelp
Not only was the food terrible but I bit into a metal bead that was in my burrito on a take out order.

Jackie W.

Yelp
Love the tacos and the margs. I love the steak tacos on lettuce wraps and the shrimp were pretty epic! Great atmosphere and great drinks. It's fun to sit outside and enjoy a nice drink. Service is always good.

Art H.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere, but the food was mediocre, at best. What kind of a Mexican restaurant doesn't even have the courtesy to bring chips and salsa? I'd pass on this one

Sharlene H.

Yelp
Beautiful ambiance , great location but I can see why this place scores lower on other areas.. the drinks are way over priced for what you get. My husband's margarita was way weak . The equites were over seasoned but everyone has their own preference. I decided to go with the daily special for Monday ( mojo sopes) was not to the liking . Tacos was amazing !! Guacamole was amazing !! Love that they make it at your table . Kids chicken Quesadilla with very very good !! Service was wonderful , people were wonderful. If I could give it 31/2 I would , but didn't meet to the expectations.. I will give this place another try and re-rate again but at this time wasn't a five star for me.

Damian M.

Yelp
Came here with my family while visiting and my dad said this was a favorite of theirs. The big draw from the outside and walking around seemed like ti would be the bar and tequila/mezcal selection. Lots of choices, some really nice bottles featured all around, but no one in my family really drinks so the food must be good. Growing uop around here, but coming from California (Bay area and San Diego) we had low hopes and expectations but were pleasantly surprised. The tableside guacamole was good, well seasoned and the guy making it had some good banter. We could have just taken a bowl from the kitchen, but this was nice. The chorizo fundito was just okay. a bit watery on the bottom and the rajas were too thin and weak, but my dad and brother liked it so all was well. I got the taco plate and asked to sub out the tortillas to the corn (btw, someone below complained that the tortilla default was inconsistent and unstated, but a simple reading of the menu and it is pretty darn clear. Reading us Fun-damental folks) the corn tortillas were a little weak in both flavor and integrity but the flavors worked. We skipped dessert due to us sitting outside in the rain, our choice, there was plenty of space inside, we chhose patio and stuck to it. Stubbornness is our specialty. Our waitress was sweet and helpful despite our terrible mood and the fact she had to come outside to help us. I am back in the area next month with my son and I'll more than likely return.

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Rocco's Tacos was a decent Mexican spot. It was very crowded on a Friday night. There is also only valet parking and while it's complimentary and it's a pain to be forced into that. We started with the fresh guacamole made table side and we added the side of veggies to our chips (and it was a VERY small side of veggies). Everyone enjoyed their dishes and I had the Molcajetes, which was my first time having that dish and it was really good. It was similar to fajitas.

Alivia G.

Yelp
I always have a great time coming here! I usually diner here for happy hour because the deals are too great to beat. I recommend sitting at the bar and if your lucky the bubbly and knowledgeable Randy will be behind the bar. Even if the food sucked i would come for him alone! The food is great, the flatuas and chicken tacos are always a go to for me.

Bob C.

Yelp
The food is good and the drinks are nice. We do not have this on our usual options to go out to eat because the place is always a bit too noisy. Maybe I'm getting old but it seems like there are many patrons who get louder as they drink more. It's not a knock on Rocco's but more on the clientele. How do you fix that? I don't know. I prefer to go there during the off hours and enjoy a great meal without having to yell to have our conversation.

Ryan E.

Yelp
This place had great food and good drinks. We would come here after work to relax on their patio and have a great time. Be aware, that valet is the only way to park most nights. I get four stars because the last two times we became service was anything to be desired.

Sarah D.

Yelp
Alexander was our waiter. Fantastic and polite. Menu is a little on the pricey side for some things but the food was great, fresh, and filling.

Nicole M.

Yelp
I'll start by saying that our family loves this place. The food is always great, as it was today. But, our dinner was ruined by our server, Sergio. He was so obnoxiously rude and unfriendly. If we ever go back we will be sure to not have him be our server again.

J P.

Yelp
Buyer beware. Go to Chipotle right across the street. Buy your own tequila and beer. Absolutely the worst quality for an up scale restaurant in Palm Beach gardens. Need I say more. This place is unbelievably overpriced and you get nothing good! Didn't even get 2oz of chicken in burrito dish. That item is $19.00.

Diane R.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. Lucky to have Glenn as a server. He provided everything we needed and was always available.

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Super busy when we went. Got sat immediately which we made reservations for prior knowing this place is pretty popular. Got nachos to start which was delicious. We basically licked the plate clean. Elote was absolutely phenomenal. I still think about them to this day. The chorizo taco was also very flavorful! They had a Keylime kind of dessert but the crust was made of saltine crackers. Whoever created that recipe deserves a raise. My group and I really enjoyed our experience and meal here! Definitely recommend it if you are in the area!!!

C F.

Yelp
A hard pass on the food. Chips, beans, rice, tortillas, meats, wow...how can you get it all bad. Ambiance is nice, service was nice. But this is anything but Mexican food or even a descent attempt.

Chris M.

Yelp
This place was mobbed They have outside seating which was a nice feature. The back wall on the bar opened up so the bar served on three sides. I sat at the bar for a wet burrito which was fabulous. It had lots of chicken, beans and rice topped of with some guacamole, sour cream and salsa, I wish they had a sampler plate but I was out of luck. While waiting for my burrito, I had a margarita. That's what I was refered to Roccos for. There was a parking lot in back so that was not a problem. If I ever had a hankering for Mexica food, I would go to Roccos.

Ershad Z.

Yelp
Giving 4 stars but it is more like 3.5 stars. Came for happy hour, which ends at 7pm. We had all the meat tacos and the habanero margaritas. It was very nice and spicy. The chicken taco was the best. The chips and salsa was a nice touch with the added Cajun (like) spices. However with the generous amount of chips, the salsa didn't seem to be enough. Will come back again. We sat at the bar. Service was ok.

Cindi W.

Yelp
Haven't been back since they reopened. First thing we noticed was they now charge for chips and salsa. Mind you it's good chips and salsa but still.. I had a plant based burrito and he had steak. Both were nicely prepared. I think the place that dinged it was waiting a while for dinner. Server was proactive telling us they were just waiting on "garnishes"...and...crickets....so the kitchen was backed up I guess because with the length of time it took for them to get to the table they could have walked from Publix themselves. Minor...and will go back. But funny.

Rich B.

Yelp
Started off with ships, salsa and guacamole. I said no tomatoes in the guacamole. They make it at your table and I did feel the need to watch him make it. It was loaded with tomatoes. It cost 15.00 and I decided not to say anything right away and I'd just work around them. For the main meal, I did mention no tomatoes and if there are any, I'll send my entree back. There weren't any except in the guacamole on my plate, which I did not bother with. Just a little frustrating again. The rice and refried beans were too salty. My review probably doesn't matter as in the last 10 years of living here, I've been there 3 times. And won't go back anyway.

Venessa M.

Yelp
One of my favorite taco spots in Palm Beach Gardens. I've been here lots of times and they never disappoint. I always sit outside because the outdoor seating is the best. The service is always exceptional and so I the food. I normally get margaritas, my favorite is the frozen strawberry, but I didn't this trip. This trip I ordered the burrito bowl with shrimp and my daughter had the chorizo tacos. Both dishes were great and very filling. And the chips and salsa are so good. The salsa verde is my favorite salsa. I'll be visiting Rocco's every trip to the area.

Joseph N.

Yelp
We went to this Rocco's because the southbound turnpike was absolutely backed up at 5:30, and I've got to say it was the best way to avoid traffic. The table side guac was fantastic but we needed to order 2 for our party of four. Two queso fundidos with chorizo, a few drinks, and a few entrees later made this a nice afternoon! I definitely recommend checking out this location

David W.

Yelp
I will be the outlier here. Each of the three times I've been here, the place was packed. The service is very good, and it is obvious they've invested in the decor. Sadly, from my experience, the same cannot be said about the food. I've had their street tacos, their house tacos, and their nachos. Utter disappointment each time. It seems they try too hard to have a gourmet edge and completely overshoot and miss the beauty of simplicity. The first time, I ordered street tacos, the pork belly was delicious enough, but it came falling out the tortilla, creating a mess. The second time, I had the house tacos. They came overly 'condimented' with all sorts of gooey stuff piled on top - so much so that I could barely eat it. This last time, I ordered the plain nachos. who can mess up nachos? Well... They came out cold, with some sort of novelty cheese that wasn't melted, with cold black beans. I tried ti make it work, but gave up. $17. For nachos. cold nachos at that. This was strike three. I'm out. Granted, by how busy the place was, I won't be missed. Seems many are fine with their cuisine, which is a head scratcher to me. I regularly travel throughout Latin America, and dine on everything from Michelin rated restaurants to street food, and this place.... SMH. I do not understand the hype, and I have certainly tried, but the image they project and the food they serve does not add up.
