"While Rocco’s Tacos is now a chain with nine South Florida locations frequented by celebrities like Mark Wahlberg and Guy Fieri, many forget that its roots originated on Clematis Street in West Palm Beach. Launched in 2008 by Rocco Mangel and the Big Time Restaurant Group, it quickly filled a niche in the Mexican food scene. Mangel, a former busboy at City Cellar, collaborated with Lisabet Summa of Elisabetta’s to create the popular menu, which features dishes like molcajetes made with marinated grilled steak, chicken, and chorizo in a lava rock dish, table-side guacamole, and a wide range of tacos, including the trendy birria tacos." - J. We had a great experience at Rocco’s Tacos & Tequila Bar in Palm Beach! The vibe was fun and relaxed, and the service was super fast and friendly. We started with chips and fresh guacamole, made right in front of us at the table — definitely a highlight. It tasted really fresh and had the perfect amount of flavor. For food, we had a mix of chicken tacos, beef tacos, and meat tacos. Everything was really tasty and came out quickly. We also had two IPA beers, and for our kid, we ordered the kids’ tacos with French fries. The total came out to $109, which felt fair for the quality and the amount of food. We had a really good time and We’re already planning to come back soon to try their brunch — can’t wait!

This place was popping Friday night! Came here for a late dinner and there was a wait—we left our name/number and waited less than half hour. Got a table indoor but in the front, close to outside. Vibe here is very energetic, loved it! Service was good and food came out fairly quick. Food was delicious! The Guacamole & Chips were so good—the guac was fresh and soft, seasoned well. We enjoyed the Crispy Fish Tacos and Wet Burrito. The Steak and Blackened Fish Tacos were good too. Cocktails were great! Food/drink prices are reasonable and the portions are generous. Side thought: I’m quite curious as to why they have TV screens in each bathroom stall!! At least the women’s bathroom did…

My wife and I dined here around 5:00 pm on June 16, 2025 while on a camping trip at nearby John Prince Park Campground. We had eaten here several years ago while attending the annual Palm Beach Boat Show. The food was good then, so we decided a repeat dinner here was in order. We sat at the bar, and the friendly bartender informed us that it was Happy Hour until 7:00 pm and gave us their deeply discounted Happy Hour menu (photo attached). We each got $5 House Margaritas (excellent) then ordered several Tacos off the menu, which were fresh-made and absolutely delicious. There was hardly anyone in the restaurant, or at the bar since it was a Monday night, but that was nice for us to be able to enjoy a quiet conversation together and chat with the friendly bartender. Rocco’s is now a chain of restaurants that’s expanded to several areas of South and Central Florida and I’m pretty sure they all of them have roughly the same food menus. If you see one and are in the mood for “Gourmet-Caliber” Mexican Food, it’s definitely worth trying out, and their Guacamole is made fresh at your table; it’s delicious (the best I’ve ever had). The restaurant décor is also nice here and you can see just how many flavors of tequila they offer at the bar (over 50 and maybe 100). These places cater to the younger crowd, which we are no longer able to keep up with, so they usually get very crowded starting after 8:30 pm and stay that way until after midnight. If you want a quiet dinner with no wait, then you want to go before 5:00 pm. Parking at this particular restaurant was plentiful along the sides streets surround Clematis Street, and runs $2 per hour with a 2 hour limit, and the meters accept credit cards if you don’t have the ParkMobile App on your cell phone.

Great Mexican restaurant downtown with a long bar, great service, a nice vibe and very good food. I managed to get there for the last 2 minutes of happy hour and the menu had some great drinks specials ($5 margaritas). To eat, I had the guacamole which was very good, and the fish tacos. The fish tacos were ok, just a bit dry with a lot of shredded cabbage! Could have used a better balance of ingredients. Next time, I would try something different. But I would definitely go back.

Our server Alice was super nice! The food tasted great and they even did something special for the birthday girl in our group! Music was fun, definitely coming back :)

Google
Very nice, lovely dinner with friends. Great atmosphere and very attentive service. The starter—guacamole with nachos—was amazing. The other dishes were lovely, and the wine was delicious. I suppose it gets quite busy on the weekends.

We visited this establishment on 1/10/25 and had a mix of tacos, the homemade (table side made) guacamole, taco bowl, and fried plantains all were delicious! The service was good as well, server Heather was very pleasant and paid particular attention to our requests/order. Not to mention this is a beautiful venue. Overall very enjoyable night out.

Returning to a restaurant is always a true test. The first time can be a pleasant surprise, but the second visit determines whether it truly deserves a spot on your list of favorites. Rocco’s Tacos in West Palm Beach was one of those places that left us wanting more, so my girlfriend and I decided to come back and see if the magic was still there. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was vibrant and full of energy. The restaurant was packed, the TVs were broadcasting multiple sports events, and the combination of dim lighting with Mexican-inspired décor created the perfect balance between modern and authentic. It feels like a place where food, fun, and great vibes naturally come together. A Must-Have Starter We kicked off the night with an absolute classic that you simply cannot skip at Rocco’s Tacos: the guacamole with tacos. It’s practically a ritual at this restaurant, and skipping it would mean missing out on one of their best offerings. We ordered the guacamole with a bit of spice, and honestly, it was outstanding. Fresh, creamy, and with the perfect balance of flavors, the spice added just the right kick without overpowering the natural avocado taste. It was served with crispy tortillas that made every bite even better. Tacos: Great Variety, Flavor, and Generous Portions After whetting our appetite with the guacamole, we went for six tacos of different flavors. The first thing we noticed was their generous size, which is always a plus. The meat was well-seasoned and juicy, and the ingredients were fresh and well-balanced. Each taco had its own unique character, from classic carne asada to more adventurous choices like fish and adobo pork. We paired our meal with an ice-cold Corona and a Coca-Cola, which rounded out the experience perfectly. Service: Good, But Could Be Improved As for the service, it was generally good. The servers were friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, but the wait time was a bit longer than expected, especially given how busy the night was. It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but it’s an area that could be improved to make the experience even smoother. Final Verdict Rocco’s Tacos remains a solid choice if you’re looking for great Mexican food in a lively and welcoming atmosphere. The guacamole is a must, the tacos deliver on flavor, and the ambiance is perfect for a night out with friends or a casual date. Despite the slight delay in service, it’s still a place I would return to without hesitation. Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️ 📍 Location: West Palm Beach, FL 🍽 Recommended for: Mexican food lovers, casual outings, watching sports with friends 🌮 Must-Try Dish: Guacamole with tacos ⚠️ Area for Improvement: Speed up service during peak hours If you’re looking for a place with great ambiance, excellent food, and an authentic Mexican experience, Rocco’s Tacos is definitely worth considering.

Yelp
Great meal at Rocco's. Had Seth as our server- phenomenal service with so much knowledge of the menu. Shrimp tacos were some of the best we've ever had. We will definitely be back our next trip to West Palm Beach.

Rob C.

Yelp
What a great combination of: Great vibe, Great food, Great margaritas, and Great service! Our hostess, Kerri, was amazing. Her hospitality and attention to detail was next-level. We are visiting Ft. Lauderdale in a couple of weeks. We will definitely check out the Rocco's Tacos there.

Yelp
I came here as part of a bachelorette party brunch outing! It's located in a cute area downtown that is surrounded by many other local businesses and is only a short walk from the water. We came on a Saturday morning around 11am and the place was empty which was a little odd. They have big windows/doors that were open to let some fresh air in. However, there were also several birds that flew in and were chaotically flying around the restaurant; this happened more than once while we were there. We had a big group and the service was a bit slow despite it being empty inside. I got a mocktail to start, the Roseberry--it was really good! I liked the pairing of fresh rosemary and blueberries. They brought out complimentary chips that were dusted with some type of seasoning. However, there was no salsa? I don't think I've ever been to a Mexican restaurant where they bring out chips with nothing to dip it in. We ordered fresh guacamole which was really good, they made it table-side right in front of us. Maybe the chips were brought out to go with the guac, it was hard to tell because we had the chips for at least 20-30 mins before any guac was brought out. I got the Huevos Rancheros for my meal, I liked that they had two different kinds of salsas (a red and a green) but it felt like too much of each one was served. The salsa kind of drowned out all the other flavors. I wish they had a Chilaquiles entree, another popular Mexican food brunch item that I think would've been a better alternative to this. I did appreciate that the waitress was able to separate our checks so we could all pay individually, I know that can be a big ask for a group of over 10 people. This experience was okay, I would probably try a different restaurant next time.

Yelp
Found this spot headed back into town as a tourist and stumbled upon their Yelp page! I'm so glad we came to check it out! One of my favorite spots I've been to while in Florida. This spot offers a vibe that I was looking for. Firstly, amazing late night food. Alice's great hospitality, amazing atmosphere- upbeat, lively but not overwhelming. The tacos I had were delicious! We also got nachos and the birra tacos! Apparently they have a huge variety of tequila! I will be back tomorrow night Need I say more? Alice, thank you! I'm so satisfied

Fay C.

Yelp
This was my first time at Rocco's and I decided to go at Happy Hour. The prices can't be beat! I ordered the spicy margarita, pork taco and chicken crispy flautas. They were all delicious. My favorite was the flautas! Crispy but also soft and chewy! Each item was only $5. Amazing deal for happy hour!

Daren R.

Yelp
Wow..Beautiful bar and restaurant. Our bartender Steve was great and served us up a Roccos Mango Margarita and an ice cold Spacedust. The decor here is amazing. The bar manager checked in with us and had good conversation. Found out the Taco Tuesday unlimited tacos are gone new info to me. Now its $2.00 off all tacos on Tuesday. In a few hours, we will return for the homemade guac and chips.

Celeste D.

Yelp
This is a must go to destination every time I'm in town. Beautiful ambiance. Clean facility. Today, the server was a little slow in coming to my table, but the manager stopped by to make sure I was taken care of. If I had to choose one meal to eat every day for the rest of my life, it would be their Mexican Cobb Salad with Avocado Ranch dressing. Absolutely awesome. I've been to other Rocco's Tacos locations, but this is, by far, the best.

Holly H.

Yelp
Great time at Rocco's! Enjoyed Taco Tuesday tacos and margaritas! Party of 5 seated quickly. Received great service. Food and drinks were delicious.

Ashley S.

Yelp
We ended up here on Halloween Saturday because it was the PERFECT people watching area with late night snacks and drinks. We got a table outside. Our waitress was amazing and I wish I could remember her name, but it was loud and we were drinking lol! We ordered their house made guacamole and their chips and salsa. Oh my god yum! Their strawberry basil margarita was out of this world. We even tried a watermelon lemon drop shot. This was a fun spot to watch all the Halloween costumes!

Jordan C.

Yelp
Lunch service today with Brie was fantastic. She was prompt, friendly and accommodating. I have visited this location twice and both times had excellent service from all staff encountered. The food is consistent. Some items are better than others but it's never a bad meal.

Patty W.

Yelp
Oh brunch, how I love you so and more. I met up with some friends to have the best meal of the day. We had a reservation at 11:30 and the crowd picked up about an hour or so after we were there. Bottomless mimosas are never a bad way to start. The guacamole with chips is always a hit to munch and share and the avocado toast has sunny side up eggs, tomatoes, cilantro, olive oil, and bacon along with a fruit salad. I enjoyed everything! Our waitress came by our table often to see if we needed anything and kept the glasses full. The service was quick and we were able to relax without having to rush out of there. Cheers until next time!

Kamilah C.

Yelp
The service and atmosphere is amazing! The drinks were great, though slightly pricey. The food was lacking and very over-priced. We still had a great time! Brie was a great server!

Suzanne H.

Yelp
What a cool spot! Sat at the bar. God the chips and salsa to start. Then ordered our entrees. Overall it was awesome. Definitely will return!

Amanda J.

Yelp
Our server, Meredith, was so sweet! Very informative and always available for anything. Food was delicious! Great guac!

Matthew C.

Yelp
Good food and a good vibe especially if you don't come when it's busy Shoutout to Justin he was an excellent server

John J.

Yelp
I am a single father with a baby after my wife passed. i was told "don't you have a woman in your party?" when I needed to change a diaper.

Mike S.

Yelp
Meredith was awesome. Great recommendations for lunch. Attentive service without being overwhelming.

Dominique M.

Yelp
Switched it up and finally gave their Birria tacos a try. Flavor was lacking but with toppings/sauces I was able to enhance the profile of the tacos. I wouldn't order these again from here.

Eugene A.

Yelp
Good Mexican food right in the heart of Clematis Street. Fun nighttime atmosphere with tables outside and the inside open to the outside. I would think it could be quite loud inside with the music being played, but it wasn't a problem outside. If busy, you can leave your number and they'll text. Allowed us to walk around while waiting. Food was good. Full bar.

Darin B.

Yelp
Rocco's was great. We had table side guacamole, chips and salsa, empanadas, and more. (Wish I would have taken more photos). The service was fantastic. Everyone was super friendly. The desserts were awesome (key lime pie and sundaes). Main course we had mahi mahi that was not great, though. Enchiladas were okay. Wish we would have done the tacos.

Shawna S.

Yelp
As a group of five, we let the driver choose. He chose wisely. We wanted a fun spot to enjoy the company of friends and family and Rocco's fit the bill. Packing into a spacious booth, the festivities began with our jovial server. Drinks arrived without delay. Shortly after, the "Guacamole Guy" began preparing our tableside order. A hint past medium heat, it was a fresh mix of avocado, tomato, and cilantro with the right amount of chunky texture. Simultaneously grabbing seasoned chips, the bowl of guacamole vanished in a flurry of hands and "mmmm's." Tacos, enchiladas, and salads arrived shortly after. The concurrence that we each ordered and received exactly what we wanted. Rice, beans, proteins, sauces, all assembled neatly. Not the best Mexican I've had, but most certainly above the average. And, with good service and good fun, an excellent dining choice. Most decidedly recommended!

Alexis M.

Yelp
Rocco's has an amazing vibe and great food. Our waitress Meredith made our dining experience even better by being attentive and making excellent food and drink recommendations. We'll definitely be back!

Aminah K.

Yelp
Food was a let down. The only good thing we tried was the fresh guac and chips. The tacos were below average. The shrimp and chicken tacos barely had flavor and I needed to put a lot of hot sauce just to taste something. Shout out to our waitress who was so friendly and attentive.

Marianna H.

Yelp
I came today with my boyfriend Michael. We tried to book online to sit outside but that was unavailable but when they arrived they were able to accommodate us. We wanted to sit outside because Michael's daughter Leila was walking in the Veterans Day parade. Our server was Brie. I will say anything she was very friendly and attentive. I would highly recommend asking for her section. Of course I got the Birra tacos, which I absolutely love you. I also started off with the margarita which was very tasty and then did the unlimited mimosas. Always a great meal and drinks when you come here.

Johnathan O.

Yelp
The food was great and our server was phenomenal and also a Bears Fan... Bear down (added bonus). Table side guac was delicious and so was my wet burrito

Suzan H.

Yelp
Food was actually good. I had a chicken and mushroom quesadilla. The guac was made tableside. Yummy...but a lot of cilantro (soap to me!!). So, why only 2 stars? It was SO loud! The music was deafening. Perhaps I'm no longer their target market-but, those reading my review might be. There were 5 in our party. We stopped talking at one point as it was getting hard to scream. We didn't get a second round of drinks. We ate and left. Perhaps that was their intent-not sure. But, we will not be back. We all like to enjoy our meals, cocktails and conversation. We couldn't do that at Rocco's.

Amanda W.

Yelp
The guac here and margs here are SO GOOD! The chips have a little spicy kick too! Came here for happy hour, bartender was super nice and we got our drinks very quickly! Tacos were bomb too! Highly recommend.

Sudi E.

Yelp
Drinks are awesome . Food is great we order different things and we all loved it. Justin was our waiter . He is absolutely helpful with drink and food recommendations. Spicy Mango and Black Diamond are amazing. See pictures and you would see what im talking about. .

Jersey G.

Yelp
Our family held a welcome happy hour at Rocco's Tacos and Tequilla last night. It was a wonderful event with delicious food, great beers, wine and margaritas. Gabby and her team did an outstanding job and stayed to our quote. Everyone had a great time.

Mila T.

Yelp
Amazing food! Went for Valentine's Day and the server was so kind and patient! We took forever to order and he was super understanding and giving suggestions and being so honest with us! It was such a pretty vibe aswell like I absolutely loved how the inside of the restaurant looked and felt so cool the birria tacos r amazing! Omg and the wings!! Ahhh they also have piña coladas which I adored so much! 10/10 amazing experience for a first time visit had an amazing time, only thing didn't like was the carne asada tacos were kinda hard to eat but it was still FIRE :)

Tiffanie J.

Yelp
Rocco's Tacos is definitely in my top places that I've tried in Florida. My friends and I tried Rocco's as it was a recommendation from my coworker. We came here on a busy Tuesday night and had to wait about 45 minutes. It wasn't too long and they also called us before our time was up. We got seated at a booth and quickly ordered some tacos and guac for the table. O-M-G. The tableside guac was AMAZING. So good, that we had to come back before our flight back to Boston. My boyfriend and I shared a couple tacos - crispy fish, carne asada, shrimp, and slow cooked pork (carnitas). Wow, I think they were all so delicious, but ranking from best to good, I'd say the fish, carne asada, shrimp, then carnitas. The margaritas were also really great as well. So great that I ordered THREE. The second time we came to Rocco's, we got the guac, margs, and also tried the molcajetes. SO delish!! It's their version of fajitas. It comes with tortillas so you can kinda make your own tacos out of them. I WILL be back!! Pro Tip: make a reservation on Open Table to avoid a wait!

Erika V.

Yelp
I was in West Palm Beach last weekend and decided to take my boyfriend to the famous Rocco's Tacos and what a great place this is! We started with some drinks, I ordered a delicious mocktail made with cucumber and ginger ale, so refreshing! And my boyfriend ordered a Mojito and he loved it. For an appetizer, we had the Guacamole with chips. Now, not only the guacamole is delicious here but those fresh chips are so good! For entrees, I ordered the Huevos Divorciados which are fried eggs on top of tortillas with beans and 2 different sauces (none of it is spicy), it came with potatoes, sour cream, fresh salsa, and guacamole, so good and filling. My boyfriend ordered the Skirt Steak al carbon and what a surprise! It was two pretty good sizes of steak with rice, beach, and maduros. Everything we ate was delicious and our server was so nice! The only thing that threw me off a little was the waiting time (15 minutes) not because there were no tables but because there wasn't someone to clean the tables. They had like 6 tables dirty around and that delayed the waiting time.

Kelly F.

Yelp
Meredith took care of us for my brothers 21st, she was so sweet and super attentive! Made the experience 100x better. Go and ask for her!!

Aaron B.

Yelp
Excellent food and service I would recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting West Palm Beach

Rosangely M.

Yelp
Food and Ambience were great . A little slow on the drinks ! But the view and the food helped .

Timothy S.

Yelp
After planning my trip to WPB and looking where my Hotel was located (downtown) I new instantly I had to go to Rocco's. I used to go to their Ft. Lauderdale location weekly when I lived there and then their Orlando location when I lived there. I love Rocco's. Although this location is small in comparison, inside still has all the charm of their other locations and a rather large outdoor dining area. The menu and the prices have improved and the portion is way more than I expected. Table-side guacamole is by far the best, especially with their homemade well seasoned tortilla chips. Yummy trio of salsas too! Excellent customer service from the hostess, to our waiter and even the manager who visited our table twice. If I lived in WPB I would be here weekly, again. Sooo good :)

Drew H.

Yelp
Planned to meet friends for Taco Tuesday. We found out that the AYCE tacos were no longer a thing despite it being on the menu and website. Now it is $2 off each taco. They also changed their drinks to $2 off a margarita versus standard $7 margarita. The draft beer wasn't working so unfortunately we couldn't get draft beer as part of the deal which was supposed to be $5. Instead they only had cans/bottles with no deal, and didn't offer to honor the price. We got the guacamole and chips. The guac used to be made tableside but no longer is. It was tasty and the seasoned chips were good. We also got the Austin queso. It tasted fine but for the price you didn't get much queso. Tried the camerones and the blackened fish tacos. They were fine but not memorable. Service was a bit slow. Took a long time to get drinks or for our order to be taken. Overall the experience was fine but nothing to be impressed by.

Kaitlyn F.

Yelp
The food is amazing the drinks are great, the ambiance is perfect! And our server Alice was so sweet and attentive!

Mark O.

Yelp
A WPB staple. The original. So it does have its ups and downs. As of right now I believe that Rocco's is serving really solid food. Service is fine. I think they have the wait staff pushing things a bit too much. It seems more like I am going to Flanagan's with the "would you like to try a..." banter. It's always a cool place. Drinks are good. Too bad we don't see Rocco on the bar as much pouring free tequila down our throats like the old days, but then again that was a long time ago. Lol. Enjoy!

Chelsea M.

Yelp
Great spot! The vibe was fun, the food was so good- highly recommend the table side guac, the tacos and the burrito bowl! Added bonus, everyone was so kind!

Kenny B.

Yelp
My server Alice was really great. She was friendly and knowledgeable and was there right when we needed her. The dinner was excellent and so was dessert. I definitely recommend coming in and asking for Alice!

Tyler G.

Yelp
Good food, excellent service. A few different queso options so Alice made sure we got the right queso!

Greg F.

Yelp
We stopped in here ona work trip. It was packed with the day if the dead celebration. We both took to the pitcher of margs and all u can eat tacos. While we waited got chips and salsa. Got to admit was not a fan of the chips. They are covered in some texmex spices. Tasted like chili powder to me. Salsas were good but those chips being covered. Did I sat covered in texmex dust was not helping. On a good note the tacos were all legit. Our favorites were the shrimp. steak, and fish. Margaritas were good. Personally, the house was better than the pitcher so next time I will just order per glass. Thankfully, the waitress could tell we weren't digging the chips. She agreed someone git carried away with the shaker. She brought us some plain chips but we were both stuffed that we didn't have many. We wished they came out that way first time.

Amanda K.

Yelp
Was in town visiting family & we came here - the decor & vibe was welcoming, and the table side guac is definitely a must. Drinks were good, and the Birria tacos - *chefs kiss*. I've had several Birria tacos from amazing spots in NJ, this might beat them all! Our waitress Alice was amazing!! Friendly, funny, and made great recommendations - she suggested shots and said flights would be the better option. She went over some flavor profiles and recommended some great choices. I'd come back for her, the tequila, and tacos every time!!

Judy A.

Yelp
Our servers name was Erika. She was amazing, efficient, attentive but not hovering friendly and Fun! Our table was tended too in a very professional way. She asked if we needed information about allergies which was helpful as I am gluten intolerant. I had the Skirt steak and it was AMAZING!! The food is also very good! A nice variety is offered. We had a very pleasant dining experience. We also loved the ambiance of the restaurant, the lighting was nice and cozy. It's situated in a lovely downtown setting, if you love to people watch while dining THIS place is for you! We will definitely be back when we are in town!

Stephany F.

Yelp
Justin was a revolutionary server truly the best. He made the experience way better. The spot is located right on clematis and gives all the right vibes, we sat outside and it was so nice to just enjoy the gorgeous weather and eat some amazing food. We had the queso fundido with chorizo, the birria tacos, and an assortment of casa tacos. Would come here again and again after a day by the beach in west palm and would recommend it to anyone.

Russell B.

Yelp
Food and ambience were great. But what made this place special was Daryl. Attentive and sweet. Drinks never empty! We are not from this area and she spent time answering our questions about where to go and how to enjoy west palm beach. Will definitely be back.

Christopher B.

Yelp
We really like this place. We were from out of town and got recommended this place. It's definitely not real Mexican food but it was a good substitute. The environment was nice and the music was good but made having a conversation at times tough. The hostesses could use some customer service training but the wait staff was amazing especially Nick! The drinks were ok. My wife got a strawberry margarita that really had no flavor but the pineapple drink that they say is the strongest was amazing. The highlight of the night was the flautas. Those flautas are to die for. We would definitely come back.

Christine P.

Yelp
Tabatha was on point and extremely friendly and made our experience all that much more fun!

Myriah G.

Yelp
Went there Friday and it was about 1:30 hostess was rude and not accommodating at all asked for 5 and a dog to sit out side she said I have nothing ..she says you can leave or hang around and not nice one but ,so rude she had tables she could of put to together or sat us near each other and mind you there were people almost done and she walked away horrible rude will never give them a penny of my money she could of said can you wait 5-10 min let me see what I can do but said I have nothing and was so rude . I Spent my $150 at Duffy's best burger !
