A SAD GOODBYE! I'll only speak for the Studio City location but imagine that this is a company policy. I live very close, enjoy the food - staff - sports bar vibe for many years...NO MAS!
Reason: Service? Nope, Food? Nope, Location? Nope...well then WHY?
At my last visit, the bill came, and I always review it - as I grew up in the food 'n beverage service industry. And due to the fact that ADDING some random BS "service fee" seems to be at epidemic levels in L.A. now.
Sure enough, there was a "weird service" fee added down by the tax. When I asked about it the waitress was kind and embarrassed. She was sweet, however, I told her to be sure and share with her boss that I won't be back. I added that I'd been coming for more than two decades...but I'm DONE.
She didn't say she could remove it, "it's just the way they do things now", and headed off with my card. Before we left she, I guess chatted with someone, and came back to ask if she could CANCEL that transaction and re-run it w/o the fee. I was nice, and said no, we have to go...but expressed to her that while I appreciated her inquiring while we were still there - the principle of the choice by the ownership to do that, was unacceptable. #UnfairTradePractice
You MIGHT WANNA review your PRINTED bill before paying. Unacceptable.
