"This casual Kendall restaurant, located in a busy shopping center, is well known by locals for being home to many Thai menu classics at fair prices. While there’s not a lot of seating, frequent diners know it’s worth the wait. Start with Thai dumplings and end with Thai donuts. Everything in between is a bonus." - Amber Love Bond

Google
This place is amazing every single time I go. It is my favorite spot for Thai food that is consistently delicious. They are always so welcoming and even started to remember me and ask about my family when they don't go with me. They are so sweet. My favorites to order are the Duck Pad Thai and the Three Karat Chicken. I always get this with the Thai Tea. The Thai Donuts are so good, hard to not get them for dessert every time. Everything is so tasty. I highly recommend this place. Excellent food, service, and super affordable prices. Thank you to everyone there :)

Google
The service is wonderful. Love the shrimp chips . The rice and chicken are great ! The pho was good but felt they might be a flavor missing but the “ Hoisin “ sauce is good ! Definitely add it to the dish . Parking would vary on the day you go but it wasn’t bad.

Google
Exceptional experience all around! The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch—prompt, attentive, and genuinely courteous. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and served surprisingly quickly. I highly recommend this establishment and look forward to returning regularly.

Google
Rock a Bangkok is my favorite hidden gem. I’ve been coming for their amazing Thai dishes for years. Spring rolls are crispy with just the right amount of filling. I always get the savory pad see ew because of its delicious flavor. The house special “three karat chicken” was a new dish I tried and I’ll definitely be having that again. They also give rice with their dishes which really makes it into a full meal. I absolutely love the cozy restaurant. The service is fantastic and the prices are fair. Easily my favorite Thai place in Miami.

Google
Good tasting Thai food in a cozy restaurant in Kendall, with several vegetarian options. Ordered a fried tofu appetizer which was good but not great (would have been better with peanut sauce), a red curry which was very tasty, and a spicy basil fried rice with tofu. We asked for everything to be “Thai hot” spicy but it didn’t come out that spicy, and ordered beers but they never came. Still, the food was good and the staff was pleasant.

Google
This is one of our favorite places to go to as a family and as a date night. Nothing on the meal is a bad choice and everything comes out delicious as well as quickly. I’m a vegetarian and I have never felt I couldn’t enjoy something. The staff is very kind and it feels like family. Food is a love language here. My daughter loves the screens where she can “cook” her own steak. My husband gets the red curry chicken religiously and some other delicious things. I myself go in between the paetai, sautéed brccoli or the red curry tofu. I had no idea they had tofu fried rice and it was delicious! Not greasy at all.

Karina Tanaka

Google
Extremely delicious. The soup was really good, I totally recommend it! I would go back just for the soup. The food was also amazing. The Thai tea was really good, way better than any boba place you can find. If you never had Thai food, give this place a chance, it will not disappoint. Also really affordable prices.

Google
This was really yummy! We had chicken fried rice, sweet&sour chicken; pad Thai, and their house special karat chicken. Everything was amazing! Even the kids enjoyed all the food! We topped it with dessert… thai donuts! Everything was delicious and the services was just as great!

Yelp
A hidden gem with great Thai food in Kendall. Came here with my partner as he was raving about this spot that he grew up with. You can find it situated in a strip plaza but going inside really transports you to a cozy atmosphere filled with cute Thai decor and friendly staff. It's on the intimate side with a good amount of seating. Everyone that was here seemed to be somewhat regulars and it wasn't terribly busy as we came when they opened on Sunday for lunch. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We got the Tom Kha Ga (my go-to at Thai restaurants now), a side of brown rice, the duck curry, and Thai tea. The duck curry is my partner's absolute favorite and it lived up to the hype. It was crispy and the curry was really good. It comes with rice that they serve to you and replenish if you'd like more. The Tom Kha soup was also good but definitely prefer the duck curry more. I'm curious to try more things off of their menu next visit. A great spot for Thai food in Kendall!

Yelp
A little gem in the wall I must say. The ambiance is nice calm cozy in Thai decor. The food is authentically fresh and delicious. When the rice is even fresh you know it's a great spot. We enjoyed their fried dumplings, chicken skewers which come with freshly peanut sauce & cucumber sauce, Thai tea which I love, yellow curry with shrimp the shrimp do not disappoint (yellow curry is a bit spicy), Masaman with chicken, cashew & avocado(is a sweet curry). This dishes comes with fresh white rice. Couldn't skip on those Thai donuts so delicious yummy with condense milk and swirl of chocolate. The owners are so kind and attentive I couldn't ask for better service. This has been the best Thai food ive had from Miami & Broward. I def will be going back cant wait.

Yelp
Went here with my family and the food was delicious. From the pad Thai to the crispy chicken dishes to the ginger duck and fried calamari. The staff is also very friendly and attentive. Definitely a place to try if you're in the area or are craving great Thai food. Also, make sure to order the Thai tea.

Yelp
Cute lil find in Kendall (it is also located next door to urban Rrasoi an Indian restaurant that I like and have also done a review on as well). Its decorated very cute and is a mom and pop establishment, you really do feel like you are in someone's home. This establishment opened over 20 years ago by Thai immigrants. Service was sweet and friendly and personable. The prices are also reasonable. We tried three dishes and they all were very pleasant. We had the red Thai curry with chicken, which was our favourite dish. We tried their house specialty - which was an interesting chicken dish, and we enjoyed that too. We also tried another chicken, (I can' remember the name) it was also a good solid dish. I recommend and I will come again.

Emme A.

Yelp
Great little place. The staff is always so welcoming and the food on point. The Chicken Curry is amazing - perfect consistency and spicyness!

Julie C.

Yelp
I was in the mood for Thai so I order I had some one in the community orderd from here I ordered pad Thai with chicken and some Thai donuts the pad Thai had a little bit of flavor when I ordered out they were almost closing at 4 p

Alysia R.

Yelp
This place is very "mom and pop", they've been around for a while! The menu options offer a wide range of traditional Thai food that doesn't disappoint. I believe there's seating inside as well as outside, we sat inside where there's bench seating along the walls that are decorated with tapestries and Asian art, very cool! This place certainly has history! My only constructive feedback would be to update some of the art/decorations and lighten up the space to make it feel less stuffy and outdated. Other than that, if you're looking for great Thai food, this place has got it :)

Alexis G.

Yelp
It was a slow day and we were attended to nicely. Food was great and I had enough leftovers for dinner later. Fried rice is a classic and they served it well.

Celia M.

Yelp
Love the red curry from here as well as the chicken pad thai. The spring rolls are great too! It's one of our favorite places.

Claudette B.

Yelp
Delicious food, fast service! Undoubtedly the Best Thai spot in Kendall. I highly recommend the Karat Chicken and the Massaman Curry.

Kristy G.

Yelp
The pho was good. The chicken fried rice was delicious. The service was excellent. Very friendly and accommodating. The restaurant was quiet and small but very nicely decorated.

Ltnlr Q.

Yelp
A true West Kendall institution! Our goto thai restaurant in the neighborhood. Friendly service, quiet and always good food.

Susan M.

Yelp
Amazing food, friendly staff and great prices! We had the steamed Thai dumplings, beef satay, chicken pad thai, red curry chicken, coconut ice cream and Thai donuts. Everything was delicious. We will definitely return to try more!

Rick M.

Yelp
Been to this family owned restaurant many times, but have to admit it was all before COVID, so seeing how they've maintained it's high ratings decided to visit them for dinner tonight. LI gave this place a high rating a few years ago and guess that Yelp must have reset reviews since it changed owners a couple years ago. We started night with Thai & Japanese beer and accompanied with steamed pork dumplings that was delicious. We ordered main coarse seafood curry and shrimp curry that was very tasty and just as Spivey as requested. Quality and taste of food was excellent, staff was super friendly and happy to see same people we knew from previous visits. Definitely recommend this place when looking for Thai food in Kendall.

Taharaa W.

Yelp
I can't believe I have never eaten at this restaurant and it's been around for decades. Now one of my favorite Thai restaurants in Kendall/Miami. It's a small place filled with delicious food, and a nice staff! Everything is fresh and so much flavor. I would give more stars if I could.

Megan C.

Yelp
Great food and great service. The owners are always very friendly. Love how nice and cozy it is inside. My family has been going for years and we have always left happy. The curry duck is to die for.

Kay A.

Yelp
The food was great and the service the same! Small and tucked away in a strip of business, but a gem!

Josh S.

Yelp
The flavors were hit and miss on our order. Coconut curry soup was very flavorful but a super small portion for a "hotpot" size. Came in the smallest to go container available unless packaging a dipping sauce so not sure what the bowl sizing was. Disappointed - Ive had much better.

Amy F.

Yelp
Amazing food and service, the Pad See Ew is incredible, the dumplings are some of the best I've tried in miami, every dish I've had has been great. The prices are affordable and every single employee is kind, friendly, and welcoming. There's not a bad thing to say about this place!

William T.

Yelp
The food is absolutely amazing, I have been here 4-5 times and every order was delicious. Highly recommended. Today was the red curry with beef.

David T.

Yelp
This small hole in the wall is dishing out some amazing tasty food!!! We had the 24k chicken, seafood curry and a couple of other dishes and they all were all spectacular!!!! Kiddos devoured everything and the adults had no complaints.. food came out fast and most importantly fresh and hot.. If you are around the Kendall area give it a try you won't be disappointed

Laynet P.

Yelp
This small family-owned restaurant is one of my favorite Thai spots in Miami. My greatest dilemma is usually making up my mind on what to order because everything on their menu is amazing. The food is so inexpensive that I will usually order 3 - 4 dishes, which will cost about $45 - $49, and take the rest home. For those who are vegan, the options are endless, you can easily select the tofu or veggie option for each dish. My favorite dish is the spicy green curry, which is only a little sweet, unlike some other curries. The spicy basil fried rice is also at the top of my list. I love the cozy and intimate vibe and how sweet the entire staff is. Despite the fact that the space is very small I have never had to wait to be seated when dining in.

Yelp
Rock A Bangkok is the best Thai restaurant ever! My friends and I have been going to this restaurant for 8 years and let me tell you it's literally the best Thai restaurant ever! No other Thai restaurant compares! The red curry is absolutely the best red curry and I've tried a lot. My friends and I always say when we try another curry "it's nothing like rock a Bangkok". You try any food from here and it's just out of this world! You will never be disappointed. The thai tea IS AMAZING! Customer service... more like family! The owner always remember us and other people that have been going to the restaurant for a long time not matter how much time had passed. Rock a Bangkok will always have a place in my heart! 10000000 out of 10! Highly recommend! P.s we also had their chicken satay and house special chicken dish- it's super good!

Daphney D.

Yelp
Please order the Three Karat Chicken! It's their house special chicken cooked in a tamarind sauce. Perfectly sweet and crispy. They are usually closed Monday's but they were open for Valentine's Day 2022. I ordered to-go and they mixed up my spring rolls for summer rolls. Not bad but definitely not my yummy fried spring rolls that I wanted. Thai donuts to-go are also not as great as when they're perfectly hot and crispy while dining in. Go for the lunch special before 3pm which includes soup/salad, rice, spring roll, and entree. They are also now closed for a 1 hour break between 4pm and 5pm everyday. My favorite picks: Thai tea, Thai coffee, yeah yeah spring rolls, three karat chicken, and Thai donuts.

Janet M.

Yelp
Excellent restaurant. Food is spectacular. It's a tiny restaurant but those are the best kind. Love all of their curries. They are so fresh and spices and balanced.

John G.

Yelp
fantastic fried rice, their pad Thai is out of this world, my whole family loves eating here and we have for years.

Mira P.

Yelp
Sad to say not spicy enough! We asked for the spicest level and even called the restaurant to make sure they knew we were serious about our request. We ordered through Uber eats which their delivery time was very accurate. I was impressed but the food itself here is nothing to rave about. We have had our share of Thai food living in both Los Angeles and NYC -! And this restaurant is for the novice. I wish I would have fallen in love but it didn't do the job. If you are new to Thai food then I would say start here but If you carry hot sauce in your bag like me .. you won't be impressed.

Max B.

Yelp
It was Friday night and I ordered Volcano chicken. It was terrible. No taste at all. I have ordered this in the past and it always tasted great. Chicken was not crispy but more soggy not cooked enough. The other Order was shrimp pad Thai . It was ok but not the taste we were familiar with. The spring rolls were very tasty . On a whole I could not recommend them .

Cristina W.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch on a Saturday and was pleased to find that their lunch specials also apply on the weekend! Our party of 4 opted for the drunken noodles, the lunch curry special, the fired rice, and they even let us do a apad see ew lunch special (even though it was not listed on the menu). Lunch special also comes with a spring roll and either a soup or salad. For less than $10 a plate, this is truly a steal. The flavors were A-OK in my opinion, though I do think the dishes could use a little kick. Service was friendly. The restaurant has limited inside seating, but is very takeout friendly. We noticed a LOT of takeout orders being fulfilled during our meal.

Cristina F.

Yelp
Always good, always delicious, best service and the coldest beer you will have! Guaranteed that once you try there food you will be a loyal customer.

Tony T.

Yelp
Great food and great service. High recommend this place. Usually get takeout as the dining area is somewhat limited for larger groups.

Yesenia V.

Yelp
Seriously always a win when it comes to Thai cuisine! Recommend the curries, but really I haven't had one thing I dislike from this place. Give it a try if you're in the area and in the mood for some comforting Thai.

Miriam M.

Yelp
Amazing service and delicious fresh , made to order food! We just tried for the first time and even the children are sling to come again!

Ciri D.

Yelp
Visited Rock A Bangkok on a beautiful Miami Thursday evening. I loved the quaintness of the space and how lovely the couple that tended to us was. The restaurant is clean and the environment very relaxed and casual. The 3 starts are mainly for the atmosphere. I was not at all impressed by their food. We started with the Jumping Shrimp appetizer and I did not like it at all. I ordered the Tom Ka Gai soup and although not bad, it want good either, the coconut broth was off balance. The biggest disappointment of the evening was the main course. I had read some reviews recommending the red curry and since I really enjoy red curry, ordered the duck red curry. I must say that in my humble opinion this was not even close to red curry, at least none I've ever tried before. The sauce had zero spicy taste and sort of sweet, I did not enjoy my dinner. Unfortunately I don't think that I will be returning.

Lisa V.

Yelp
The best Thai food! Wonderful service! It is always a pleasure to be greeted here and, without fail, the meal is outstanding

Diego L.

Yelp
Great food for affordable prices, our family love it, and has been a loyal customer for many year

Saul S.

Yelp
Best ever. Been eating here for years. Highly recommended. Red curry is the best ever, on a few restaurants I've been to.

Francis E.

Yelp
The food is EXCEPTIONAL!!! Very Clean! The Staff Friendly!!! It's a real treat every single time!!!

Ishmail A.

Yelp
Elegant and pleasant inside. The food and service was great. Went with a friend on a lunch date.

Arnaldo G.

Yelp
We have been eating there over 23 years. We have Tried the entire menu and have enjoyed it all! The food is delicious, the service is outstanding and the ambient is family oriented. The place is small but makes up with the great food they serve. We go there every week!

Brandi M.

Yelp
One of the all time best Thai Gems in all of South Florida. Best thai tea ever. I can drink a gallon it's so good. Cute little restaurant inside. The staff is so sweet and attentive. I love coming here. You cant go wrong with any of the curry, but the red duck curry is my personal favorite. Tonight I got the duck curry and the 3 karat chicken. (So so good) sweet and crunchy. I ate before I came here and that was a mistake. I was so stuffed. Getting Tom ka gai soup to start is a must. And keeping it classic with Thai Donuts to end the meal is great. All the food is delicious on the whole menu. What ever you choose you can't go wrong!

vanessa i.

Yelp
Service,FOOD ,environment 10!!! Super calm restaurant everything was amazing. WOULD DEFINITELY GO BACK

Natasha D.

Yelp
OK so kind of annoyed that it seems I'm finding good restaurant options a couple of months before I move out of state... so I guess I need to do a lot of ordering in the next couple of weeks! I found Rock A Bangkok through UberEats and was shocked at the very reasonable prices. It was less than $20 for and order of Yeah, Yeah-Spring Rolls (3 pretty good sized rolls), Chicken Pad Thai, and a bowl of Tom Kah Gai Soup. I was impressed with all three dishes. The soup had a really nice depth of flavor and was full of mushrooms and chicken. The spring rolls were not greasy at all and had a tasty filling. And the Pad Thai struck the right balance of sweet and savory (I find it disgusting that most "Thai" places make the Pad Thai so sweet) and it was a huge portion. It is not the best Thai food I've had in my entire life, but by South Florida standards, it is pretty good!

Carol C.

Yelp
Love this place it's a legit Thai food place and everything they make is fresh. Love the coconut milk soup and we usually get pad Thai and another dish like the basil fish to share. It's great.

Valeria V P.

Yelp
Food tasted really good one of the best in kendall but honestly I would've loved it more if they had an actual level of spicy (is inconsistent) but I like their flavor

Joseph G.

Yelp
This is our go to Thai! How did we not know about this place sooner? Jenn and the rest of the staff are so nice and courteous and the food is Amazing!

Liliana L.

Yelp
Small mom and pop restaurant. Good quality food and friendly staff. Not a fancy place but the food is recommended highly.

Natalie G.

Yelp
Recently moved to the area and have had the pleasure of dining in and taking out from here and I must say they never disappoint!!

Monica L.

Yelp
Great food & service great place to visit. Very authentic. Defiantly returning. Humble employees. Clean place.

Alexandra R.

Yelp
I absolutely love their curries. Their thai tea is delicious. Their food is really really good and I highly recommend it to anyone in kendall! Wish I had found out of this restaurant earlier!
