Rock & Brews

My family and I visited Rock & Brews in El Segundo for the first time with a large group, and they did an excellent job accommodating us. Ordering was a breeze, and they were able to split the bill with no hassle. The atmosphere was really cool, featuring classic rock and popular music from all ages playing on the TVs, plus plenty of sports options on as well. The venue is spacious, so even with a big group, we never felt cramped. The only minor downside was that it was a bit dark in the evening, to the point where a few of us had to use our phones to read the menu. Other than that, everything was great, and we definitely recommend checking it out!

Had an awesome time at Rock & Brews! I didn’t expect the egg rolls and tacos to be so good, but wow 🤩they really hit the spot. It’s such a fun place to chill with the boys and catch a game, with big screens everywhere and a laid-back vibe. The music is great too, really adds to the whole experience. If you’re into tasty food and good tunes, you’ll love it here!

Great atmosphere, with covered outdoor dining. There were heaters so we did not get cold. We were a group of 14, and seating is picnic-table style, so we were able to sit together. The wait staff was attentive and split the check with no issues. Food was tasty. Parking was easy in the restaurant’s lot.

The food was average while service and atmosphere were great. We ordered the blackened chicken pasta and ceasar salad grilled chicken wrap. The pasta was good but the wrap wasn’t. The wrap has very little amount of chicken-pictures attached. We discussed it with the server and they addressed it by providing a side of grilled chicken. Good overall experience but I’d suggest that you don’t order the wrap.

Shame on Gene Simmons for putting out this crap. It’s really a Chuck E. Cheese for adults with all the kids running around making noise not sure if this was his original vision of a kiddy land, but that’s what it is. Ordered the half rack ribs which were some of the worst I’ve ever…super dry. The fries were overly salty and the warm coleslaw was disgusting. For the $30 I paid for this meal I had to eat it all just because it was my only meal of the day and didn’t have time go somewhere else. The atmosphere is OK in terms of the concept, which is music, but I would say this is a dump would never go back, even if Billy Gene himself gave me a free meal ticket. There’s no way is Jean eating these ribs or anything else on the menu for that matter and thinking this is quality food I don’t know about the claim that they get the fresh ingredients locally. It’s probably more or less the same crap from Sysco, US Foods or other food distributors.

Good food, simple choices, and good brews. Love the atmosphere and decor. They have music videos playing wall to wall accompanying the music. Service was decent. Had my fries with my burger upgraded to garlic parm style, they were really good.

I have been to several R&B locations, all entertaining with satisfying "bar faire" and brews. All dog friendly!!! Woof!!! Even complimentary dog bites...that's food, not teeth!!! Good selection of beers, etc. Well prepared meals. Visit started out poorly...after being seated, I waited for 15 minutes before even being acknowledged...believe me, that's no exaggeration. A male and a female manager even passed me by without attention of any kind. Ultimately, my server finally got to me. It turned out she was stuck dealing with a large party of 18 yr old girls celebrating a birthday. I don't fault her, but the two management persons need to be more focused on customer awareness and service. Simple acknowledgment would have been sufficient. The remainder of the visit was excellent. Once Emily got to me, everything was excellent!!! Delicious burger, hot crispy fries, and two cold refreshing El Segundo Brewery beers. Oh, and a bowl of water and a small bowl of bacon for my Border Collie. As a seventies "Rock n Roller" the music and general atmosphere is very appropriate and appealing...to me. In today's world and economy, the prices were reasonable.

Food = Super Great, Ambiance = Crazy Great, Service = Super Duper Great!!!!!! A few weeks back we had a issue with a waitress. I tried to find the manager at the time and was unable to so we just left. I reported it on here and a business manager named Paige contacted me. We did speak on the phone and Paige convinced me to bring my family back and give it another try. I contacted Paige today, which is approximately a few weeks after we last spoke and she told me she is not working tonight and that the general manager "Liz" was working tonight and would be expecting us. WOW!!!! Is a understatement. Liz explained how much into customer satisfaction and customer service was a very important goal of theirs....... Between Liz and Paige they corrected the issue we had and made up for it 10 times more and above! We felt so comfortable there tonight that we are definitely going back again tomorrow night for more great food, great ambience, and more great service. A BIG THANK YOU to Liz and Paige! Thank you both for GREAT customer care and service.

Oh my goodness the wings were so delicious. I got the sweet and hot ones. Not too hot but hot enough. The young lady that helped us was very nice and cordial. The restaurant was almost like a rock museum. Great atmosphere and lots of rock music in the background. I'll be back !!

I was surprised by the location being mostly outdoors. Pet friendly. A huge covering to protect from the sun or rain. However we went on a Sunday and it was quite windy. We were freezing. We asked them to turn on the heaters but it still wasn't comfortable. The food and service was good. I especially loved the egg rolls and bread pudding. My family tried the fish and chips, jalapeno poppers and the wings. Probably wouldnt have gone if I knew it was outdoors. Make sure to check in as you get to try the bread pudding. I didnt check in until after we paid and left. I was bummed because we could have shared two bread puddings.

What a great place to visit and eat. It took a bit for the server to get to us as the place was packed at 5:30pm. However, once we ordered our food was at the table within 10 minutes. I had the Steak Tacos and they were delicious. All of the rock and roll memorabilia that is around is awesome. It is lightly lit but not dark. There are also about 20 beers on tap. Actually I'm going back today! A must visit and eat.

Great casual vibe. Love that it's dog friendly. Was here for their happy hour menu. Good food and they also have a dog menu! Got the burger patty for the pups and they absolutely loved it. Service was great too.

One of many open air restaurants in downtown El Segundo, this location of Rock & Brews is the original and flagship location. Part of the ownership group are two members of the band KISS, and they have expanded to other nearby cities (and LAX airport). It's a popular spot for after work get togethers, and I had come to this location when visiting El Segundo from Wisconsin for work... people will take their out of town colleagues who like a bier garden atmosphere. A colleague from a previous worklife was coming into town and staying in El Segundo so this seemed like a natural spot for a Thursday night before he had to head back. There are a lot of free parking, including a surface lot with angled spots...but those were all taken since we came after 7. We found street parking a bit away, but didn't mind the walk on a pleasant night. It is full table service inside, so we waited to be seated. All seating is open air, covered from the elements. Living here, you forget that outdoor dining can have some hazards, specifically insects and birds....none of that is an issue here. It's a great location. The tap list is on the smaller compared to other SoCal competitors (thinking of a place like Yardhouse). We are done with IPAs for a while, so was hoping to try a witbier/Belgian that we hadn't tried before. No such luck, so settled for two (Avery White Rascal $8 per pint, Franziskaner $8.5 per pint). They were out of some beer (one of which our server told us about up front, the other not until he came apologetic that my choice was tapped out). The food was OK, and ordering bar grub was the right way to go. I got the Taco Salad for $17.99 and it was OK....not much protein (chicken) but plenty of other ingredients, including finely shredded romaine lettuce (usually it comes in chunks...this is a lot better). The edible shell was super oily and cripsy which I loved. My wife got the rockin wings ($18.99), 8 big bone-in pieces...very crispy but not particularly well spun with sauce. We shared some excellent thick cut fries ($5.99). Prices were high for what we ordered, and approached $40 per person after tip...salad, wings, fries, and 2 beers. In terms of a Rock'n'roll ambience, it probably has more to do with the crowd (which was a after work crowd) than the surroundings (it's not like Hard Rock where there is Rock memorabilia everywhere...though I'm sure there must be KISS collectibles around the walls). We ended up talking until the restaurant closed at 9:30. It was a good time to catch up and we appreciated the service and food from Rock & Brews.

I've been here many times in the past and somehow have neglected to provide a review. Definitely my bad. In summary, the food is good, the beer selection solid (though sometimes items on the menu run out), but service is usually slow and struggles to keep up with demand (especially on weekend evenings). It can definitely get loud, and it is an outdoor (but covered) restaurant, so folks should know that when visiting for the sake of weather, but it's a fun staple of the downtown ES area.

This place rocks lol literally. Love it here. Nice selection of beers and they have great food. Service is top notch. The spicy burger is one for the few that love spicy. Like me ! Really big place and good for all ages.

Here's your follow-up review: --- I recently visited Rock & Brews in El Segundo again and was not disappointed! The Garlic Parmesan Wings and fries were as delicious as last time. Paige, the manager, was super cool, and Jasmine treated us wonderfully. Rock & Brews is definitely my go-to spot for a great meal and excellent service. --- Feel free to adjust or add any additional details!

Customer service was top tier. Freddy was so kind and knowledgeable. Very friendly individual. This was what was the selling point for me. The food was good. I was VERY HAPPY to know they had gluten free bun options for the burgers. The area is super cute and family friendly too! They had live music and burger Wednesday's! There is street parking too! They also offer gluten free beer!

Chill vibes This is a pretty cool place with 70s-90s music being played with music videos. Whatever sports game is going on is up on the big screen. Sometimes, there is live music. The food is what you would expect from a very American restaurant: burgers, ribs and nachos. All you the standard that you need it to be. The serivce is a hit or miss depending how busy it is. Sometimes they are perfectly attentive while other times it's not.

The best vibes in El Segundo are found at Rock & Brews! The staff is always so lovely.

Everything went well. We enjoyed our experience. The food was good. And the service was fine. The only thing I noticed regarding the Jalapeño poppers. Is that they seemed smaller compared to the other Rock and Brews in Ben's Park. They were sliced in half instead of using the whole pepper. But nothing we had was bad.

The food sucks big time!! My Burger was cold fries and extremely salty... I went on a Wednesday's Burger special day and I was shockingly surprised how fast my order came to me in two minutes after I ordered it WTHeck! And, it tasted like Costco burgers... Sad. However, the atmosphere is pretty dope music, pretty cool my servers pretty cool too... Never going back there again... -:(

It was as if I died and met-up with long disconnected friends from my Rock n' Rollin' daze. A friend took me to an eventful celebration of a Gene Simmons' podcast recorded at this restaurant' back-room studio. There also was a private graduation party. And some cute pre-school kids keeping pace with the beat! It was both "warm and fuzzy" & "cool" all at the same time. More importantly, the food was awesome! The service people were nice and caring. I'm coming back!

loved the unique concept at rock & brews! i visited with friends and we enjoyed the vibe of live music and the outdoor space. we were excited to see we came on a good day for badass burger wednesday. the deal was such good value! our server was so kind with his recommendations and we ordered some drinks which were all good! he really took the time to make sure that my friend would like her drink. i had the bee's g's knees which was super cute. we ordered the calamari along with our burgers. everything was great and i would love to come back!

Came in for the dodger game this evening. Came a little early today to get a good seat. I must say, all our food, our service, the attentiveness these servers/managers gave us was just great! Especially with them being busy for the game. I just want to say, I think you're all doing a great job and i definitely will be back.

THE GOOD: Spacious. Extensive menu options. Love that they have a play pen for kids. The food came out hot & fast. THE NOT SO GOOD: Service is a little lackadaisical at times.

We love the outdoor seating and the service was great. We visited in October and the staff put on a fun stein holding contest that my husband and son won!

I joined a work group here for a retirement luncheon. Great spot for a group lunch in the patio! We came on a Wednesday so I took advantage of the Wednesday special: Ultimate Burger or Oklahoma Smashburger for only $7.99. It was delicious! & my total only came to $8.75! The servers were nice, but I wish they had brought out the water when we were seated. We didn't get water until after we had ordered.

I've been coming here for years but this evening I showed up at 5:40pm with my family to eat and watch the Chargers game but was sent away. Even though the place was half empty, they said they weren't seating anyone any more. I asked about the empty seats and they said they were reserved. I asked to put my name down and wait and they said no even though I've done that for the past 10 years. It makes no sense. Why would any business do this? Sadly, over 10 years of loyal patronage has ended with this one terrible experience.

Such a great place for Brunch on weekends! Their steak and eggs deal is priced perfectly, and they make some amazing salsa. We also enjoyed some mimosas with multiple juice options, the guava is really GOOD fyi . If you are lucky enough to get Freddy as your server, you are in great hands! But honestly, everyone there is very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back for brunch, and on Wednesdays for their burger deal and music!

Great atmosphere! Totally great vibe with great music and a kicking happy hour. We were visiting from out of town and were able to find great parking nearby. We ordered fish tacos, which my friend really enjoyed, one of their specials, a taco salad which was a little too spicy for my other friend, and a half rack of ribs that was really dry and burnt. We had asked if it was good and the waitress said that it depended on the chef. Apparently this one was off, I wish I had ordered the chicken that I wanted instead. The beer selection was great! The space is set up to accommodate all kinds of groups so it's perfect for families or friends chilling after work.

Food was awesome, drinks were nice. Ambiance was rambunctious but still family oriented. Great spot to watch the game, awesome services. Go make sone friends!

My boyfriend and I came here to watch college football championship games and the staff was exceptional. The bartender put our game on the two major screens and cheered along with us. my boyfriend had the hot wings and they came out steaming hot and I had the spicy burger which was very spicy as well highly recommend. it wasn't too loud the music was great a blast from the past really enjoyed the environment! we would be returning back for all the football specials and the great vibe.

Was excited to try burgers here and honestly they were not too good for a smash burger. No flavor and just masked with mustard. Cold fries. Waited for a waiter and no one checked back on us. Didn't feel welcomed as a new customer. I understand places get busy and possibly hard to keep up with everyone but service should not suffer. The live music was only saving grace. :(

Food is amazing! Great beer selection! Service is good for how busy it gets here and the ambiance is very family friendly, lots of families come here after league games. Only downside is parking :(

This place was very fun and the food was good. I got the tacos and the tortilla mixed with the salsa is incredible. My friend did get the burger and it was completely under done and raw. We told the server and he apologized many times, gave us a new burger right away that was cooked to perfection and gave us a free dessert. The server's name was Freddie and he was incredible. Very knowledgeable of the menu and the beers on tap and was friendly and funny. The atmosphere is VERY loud so be aware of that when you go. They were playing close to 20 TVs as wall as loud music so be ready for it to be very loud. We were seated outside with heaters and it was warm and comfortable. We will for sure come back here to eat!

Great place to go for a variety of dishes Including a decent tasty salad (Strawberry Fields) with lots of condiments in it. Actually, it's better than some fine dining restaurants. . Pizza, wings, tacos, ribs, burgers, salad, steak . Most of the food tastes pretty good, including the pizza. It's flavoring is well. . Coke served but with paper staws . Music always playing so can be loud Outdoor near the beach so weather can change...bring a jacket since it can get cold quickly. Service could be friendlier and more welcoming. Staff seem more concentrated on cleaning and unavailable than checking on customers.

Such a fun restaurant! Music is amazing (love the videos on the TVs) and decor matches perfectly with the vibe. The menu is extensive so don't worry about picky eaters here! We started with a shared cocktail that came out with a smoke show and it was delicious. I ordered the Philly cheesesteak which was a large portion for a decent price. This would be a great place for large parties, but parking can be a little tricky.

Yikes. I wasn't going to leave a review about our group's recent visit to Rock & Brews, El Segundo. However, your response to the review written by "Ms P." on March 18, 2024, compels me. In your response you stated: "Our findings indicate that we sold over 1,200 food items that day and we have not received any other reports, outside of your party, of guests falling ill after visiting our restaurant." I do not know Ms P. or anyone in her group. Yet, I and seven of my friends who had lunch at Rock & Brews on Saturday March 16, 2024, suffered from severe symptoms of food poisoning after dining at your establishment. It also seems that multiple reviews nullifying the merit of your statement were posted as I was writing this review. In your response you stated: "As part of our investigation, we also contacted the local elementary school and were made aware that numerous students had been absent due to a stomach virus circulating in the area for the past 2-3 weeks." Admittedly, I am not familiar with your protocol/procedure after a report of such an incident, but this seems like scapegoating. I don't have any children who attend any local elementary school because I don't have kids at all. Thus, I didn't get it from my kid. Neither do any of the individuals who I came with. Thus, I didn't get it from their kids. I am also extremely germophobic and have previously worked for the CDC. I wash my hands so thoroughly that people get uncomfortable with how long I am taking. After I'm done washing my hands, I'm not potentially recontaminating my hands by touching anything. I always make a clean exit of the bathroom. Thus, I didn't get it from using the bathroom. The gate to your restaurant was open. Thus, I didn't get it from touching a door. Therefore, we didn't get a bug from something one of the "local elementary school kids" touched unless the local elementary school kids are able to access the plates or the food prep which would be troubling. (It definitely wasn't the utensils. You don't seem to have them or are unwilling to provide them which is suspicious as to your cleaning capabilities to say the least.) In your response you stated: "We can also confirm that we follow all guidelines and requirements set forth by LA County Public Health." Clearly not. Also a statement by the potential offender of the guidelines carries no worth. Even if there was a stomach flu going around, it should have been minimized if your establishment truly followed the guidelines and requirements. Those who live in the South Bay love supporting South Bay businesses. Hopefully this won't happen again, but first you need to take accountability. You failed to take accountability when you responded to Ms P.'s review by saying that her party was the only one that suffered symptoms and you failed to take accountability when you seemingly scapegoated the kids. Finally, your statement, "Again we thank you for your feedback and want you to know that your concerns have been taken seriously" isn't taking accountability. At least you didn't scapegoat the dogs or there might've been a riot. You are pretty cool for allowing dogs.

The place has a nice vibe but is very loud to enjoy a conversation without yelling. The Asian wings were not bad a little overcooked, I was told they precooked them and reheat them when ordered. I wish they would not cook them twice over. We ordered Garlic Fries and requested that the garlic be cooked a minute longer. They do NOT take your order requests seriously and will always do it the way they want to serve it to you. Been here 3 times with disappointed service.

Look, we know this place is a bar and not a restaurant. I've been here multiple times and ordered their bar food and they were excellent! Five Stars!!! Their chicken strips, fish & chips and chicken wings were excellent when I did have them. This particular update is for the salad. The saddest salad for the price. This is what I get for trying to be healthier. I should have ordered the Fish & Chips! For the same price, I would have been much happier. Service is excellent! Quick and friendly. Easy parking.

At Rock & Brews you can find cold beer, cool videos on a multitude of screens, and a wide variety of appetizers and entrees. Dog friendly. Ample parking.

We have enjoyed drinks at Rock and Brews for the last two weekends! The bartender, Angel is awesome and serves with a smile. We will definitely be coming back good food and setting!

The wings here are always my go to!! If you're looking for some wings, pizza and cold beer come here!!! Service was the best I've had in a very long time! Hostess sat us down introduced us to our server and had a great time! Can't wait to go back for another outing with the family!

Came here for brunch with family . The place is really cool rock themed bar plays all the classic rock music you could think of . The food was good and drinks was awesome . The server we had was very amazing and very friendly and always accommodating a lot of our meals and giving us free drinks cause they made extras which I found amazing. Thanks rock & brew for an amazing experience

Went Tuesday since I was in the area and Taco Tuesday was delicious! Great service and reasonable prices Will deff be back

The service is good, specifically when we get Freddy as our server he is exceptional knows what he's doing and can even manage the play area when there's too many kids. The salad, bbq and dessert is delicious. I was surprised at how good the bbq is here. The kids eat the food and they have a good bevvie menu both alcoholic and nonalcoholic. Been here multiple times if you come on a weekend or Friday night bring your patience.

In response to whoever "Paige" is - I was thinking about this and wondering who did you speak with at the elementary schools and which schools did you speak with? What was included in your investigation? Seems like the public has a right to know, so that we can feel more comfortable with your establishment. Did you contact the vendors of all the foods consumed and hear back from them already? Seems awfully quickly to have heard back from all of those vendors. It's also probably in your best interest to actually speak to those in the community to get a real sense of just how many people have gotten sick from going there, not just on Saturday, but over the years. I've heard from more than a dozen people so far. While your response is nice for others to see "Paige" it honestly has no merit. Until there is some resolution and we know why our kids and parents got sick, this can't be swept under the rug.

I was there with my family this past weekend of March Saturday 17 and 17 and I love this place !. Food was GREAT!! And music it took me back to my childhood. Service was excellent a high five to the chefs food is delicious we were visiting from Las Vegas Nv and let me tell you. We went back for more the following day Sunday before coming home and again love the food and service is excellent. Super clean, family friendly,and our congrats to the chefs. I will be coming back for more.love it

I would've given them 5 stars...keep reading to find out Had a long day with my son and wanted some good food. He was requesting Mac and cheese and I couldn't find a place that had any on the menu. Hopped on Yelp and saw this place with Mac and cheese and jalapeño poppers. I was so excited to try those. Unfortunately, they are no longer on the menu. It is a different type of restaurant concept as it is open completely to the outside making it a not so idea choice on a windy LA afternoon. But it definitely goes with the theme of the restaurant. I love the decor on the walls and how the establishment is laid out. After taking a look around, kindly, the host sat us right next to a heat lantern by request. I went through the menu with my son and he immediately picked Mac and cheese and fries of course lol I started off with guacamole and chips. The fries here are really good! Cooked great, no extra seasoning needed. The guacamole is one of the best you'll get at a restaurant. I don't know too many places here in Seattle/Tacoma area with guac as good as theirs. And I'm sure on this because my son started eating it too. The chips were good also, like Mexican restaurant style. I continued my order with garlic parm fries and fried cauliflower wings. Okay....the cauliflower wings are the best cauliflower wings I've ever had. PERFECTLY seasoned, good portion size, nice and firm and they come with an incredible dipping sauce. The garlic fries are right up there to match. You can really taste the garlic which is the big thing for me because I love garlic. And they have good ranch which made this so much better to enjoy. All in all I loved the food. It was great. I gave them 4 stars because there was an issue with one of my drinks. Mid-way through our dinning a group of friends came in and were seated next to us. One of them ordered a Smokey drink, I believe called "smoke on the water" and we all talked about it and loved the appearance and experience. I asked her if she liked the drink and she said yes. Because of this, I decided to order the drink. However, when my drink came it had hardly any smoke on it. And this drink is more expensive than all the other drinks so I was certainly expecting that "aww" experience when my drink came as well. But it wasn't there. I addressed my concerns and then the table of friends next to me chimed it with how great theirs looked and how the one I received was lackluster. The bar remade the drink but I can't say for sure if it had alcohol in it. It was pretty much a waste because I didn't drink it. Other than that, okay service, really good food, really nice restaurant.

On a busy street but there parking in the back and we didn't have too much trouble finding street parking on a Friday. Cute spot with tons of outdoor seating and a lively vibe. Large selection of drinks (they were out of some seltzers though) and food portions were gigantic. Bummer we missed the happy hour though, m-f 3-5pm!

Came here for some appetizers around dinner time. Got three different apps and they filled us up (table of 4). Super delicious. The egg roll app was so good . Nachos were average. Nothing special. Pretzel was good. Nothing special but it was good food regardless. Just nothing that will blow your mind for flavors lol! I love how it's all outside. Super cute! Lots of seating, vibe is great, fun. there's basically no parking though. The lot fits like ten cars. You'll probably have to park a ways away and walk. But overall, love the place!

The food was great but the service wasn't good the waiter barely came to check on us and he missed a couple of things on our order by the time I had what I needed to eat my food it got cold . Restaurant and restrooms were clean. They had small play area for kids but don't feel it's a place for kids. Our waiter should have introduced himself by name and asked if it was our first visit which it was . He should have been more attentive. He never mentioned merchandise for sale even after I asked he had no clue nor about prices as well. We had to wait extra time for mgr to ring up a cup which is ridiculous. Merchandise should be clearly marked with prices and advertised especially for those who are new visitors or traveling. Loved music and atmosphere.

Stopping in on my way south to chill for a bit, I decided to have a couple of beers and some wings. I met the bar tender, Angel. We had a good Rock n Roll conversation. We shared our favorite bands. Angel was friendly and attentive. He made my afternoon! Keep on Rockin!
