I got this amazing watermelon bloom drink from one of the bartenders Trey This place is a whole vibe! The drink I had was not only delicious but also straight-up adorable — topped with a rubber ducky, fresh edible flower, and a watermelon skewer? Like, come on! 💕🍉🦆 It was almost too cute to drink… almost. 😋 The bartenders were AMAZING — super friendly, creative, and clearly love what they do. They made the experience fun from start to finish and really put love into each cocktail. 💯🍸 The atmosphere? INSANE. Neon lights, funky decor, playful energy everywhere. It’s the type of spot where you walk in and instantly feel like you’re at the right place to let loose and have a great time. ✨🎉 If you want great drinks, good energy, and Instagram-worthy moments, this is the place. Can’t wait to come back again!

I’ve been coming to this bar a lot this year. The food is decent, what really keeps me coming back is the great atmosphere and the amazing bartenders. If you’re looking for a top-notch espresso martini or margarita, definitely ask for Tray or maricio they never disappoint!

My friend and I came here over the weekend before a comedy show. I will definitely be back. The vibe, bartenders, drinks, and food was amazing! I had a mocktail and it was delicious, the mini smash burgers were really good and nice to share. Great music and the bartenders were super nice and outgoing! I will be back!

Came in last weekend for a drink with a friend and absolutely loved it! I got the Salted Caramel Martini and she had the Pink Flamingo, and the bartender could not have made them better. The music, the decor, the whole atmosphere...total vibe. Def coming back! :)

What an amazing place! Would never have thought this little spot would have such great vibes about it! The service was amazing! Our server was so attentive! The food was great! The drinks even better! Everyone there was so friendly!! The only reason for a 4/5 overall stars is that the music was just too loud. That said, I'd go there again anytime!

I stopped into Rock & Rye for a casual evening and had a decent overall experience. The service was very good; it was attentive and friendly from the moment I walked in. The atmosphere is very casual and low-key, perfect for grabbing drinks and a bite without any pretense. I ordered a flatbread listed as a Margarita, but it was more like a cheese pizza than a true Margarita. It was still decent, just not what I expected. The online menu did not match what was available at the restaurant, which made ordering a little confusing. On the drink side, the wine selection was underwhelming, but the beer list was solid, and the cocktail menu stood out. They clearly put more focus on mixed drinks. This is not a fine dining destination, but it works well for what it is, a laid-back bar with better-than-average food and a great drink program. I rate it 3.5 stars, but will round up to 4 for the strong service and cocktails. It is a good choice if you're looking for a casual spot downtown with good energy.

Visiting from Boston over the weekend and had a Sunday funday here. Staff was awesome, bartenders were the best! menu cocktails were absolutely delicious. Took so many shots like scooby do and starburst. This bar made my last day in the city memorable. Can't wait to come back!

It's good for a dive bar, but the food options were lackluster. Also, Rap & Rye would probably be more appropriate, the music was fine, but not the vibe I expected with a name like "Rock" & Rye.

Super fun vibes at Rock & Rye and very excited to check out the PVD location soon. This is a great spot if you want the lively feeling of a bar, but also still want to be able to hear the people you are talking to. Not much dancing was going on but it's a very fun environment with the drinks, games, and flexible seating. We got a few rounds of drinks but some favorites were the adult capri sun, espresso martini and a shot I can't remember the name of but had a cute rubber duck.

very poor service. our server had 2 food items wrong, but she wasn't using a notepad so that's probably why. upon leaving, we were YELLED at by the bartender for leaving a bad tip when they rely on it for pay... didn't seem to mind the poor service we had. i truly cannot behave we were yelled at and harassed as we left. poor establishment with awful service

Great customer service, staff and very friendly and the food was great. We had the tacos, wings and chips with guacamole. The manager was wonderful about checking on us to make sure everything was good. I would definitely recommend this place.

This place was so fun and was a short walk from our AirBnB. Our bartender Blackie was awesome and so helpful, full of information about the city. He even hooked us up with some free swag! Really fun interior! Food was good, better than you'd expect at a bar. My mozzarella sticks had a great cheese pull and the loaded tots were delish. Drinks were quick to arrive and there was a huge selection. Definitely stop by here for some afternoon drinks and grub.

I came here on a Friday night for some drinks. I saw they had a pornstar martini on the menu so that's why we came here! Our server was very sweet and attentive. Once I was served the pornstar martini I was so excited only to be massively let down by the drink. It was so awful, milked it for almost an hour to get that sucker down. Who ever made it did not do it right. Was very sad about that. My friend also thought it was gross. Our night was redeemed by the rum flamingo drink! Much better and tasty. I love all the decorations here and would come here again for some food. The table next to us got wings that looked delicious.

I came here with a big group of friends for dinner and drinks. The service was fast and friendly. I really enjoyed my chicken sliders and fries. I also highly recommend the espresso martinis.

Manager is very abrasive, but the bartender/servers are good. The food is very well done: excellent smash burger albeit on the smaller side. There's tons of other options nearby that you don't have to worry about rude staff.

Fun little pub we stumbled across. We came on a Sunday night when most other pubs were either closing, cleaning or just dead. This was the only one that actually felt lively. The staff was attentive and full of energy. It was not hard to enjoy our time while we were here.

Unclear as to why this place has such little stars ... it is a chill lil place the service was great ... the vibe was cool ... our group enjoyed it ... we sat at the bar and the staff was extremely attentive ... I naturally assess my environment and they have the same service to everyone.

Heard about this restaurant by word of mouth that it served good drinks so I decided to stop by. I got the pink flamingo (silver rum, passion fruit rum, grenadine and pineapple) which was amazing 5/5, however, the service brought it down to 5/10. When I first sat down the bar, the bartender was friendly and nice, then the manager came by to check my ID and instead of returning it to me nicely, he tossed my ID back at me on the table which was uncourteous. Hence, my friend and I only ordered a drink and left right after. The music was really loud there and made it hard to talk as well. Drinks: 8/10 Service: 5/10 Experience: 5/10 Value: 7/10

The bartenders could care if they had a job or not! No effort. No smile. The worst. Sat at the bar and was not looked at, like avoided, for 30 minutes. Do not go here if you want a drink, lol! It's a joke, like the bartenders! Oh wait.... It gets worse, they finally gave us a drink and said "Pay now or get out" Never been treated more poorly ever! Trash bags!

My girlfriend and I had such a good time yesterday coming here before the Lil' Wayne concert to get our grub on. I know concerts try to overcharge on all the food at the concession stand. Here everything tastes fresh and is a good price. We were definitely stuffed and enjoyed the concert without spending extra. Do come here for a great meal.

Cool place. Good food. Nice (initial) vibe. One person covering the bar AND tables when I went. Place was full Waiting a half hour for a drink and practically throwing myself at the one person there to get food, was disappointing. Soda water in my cocktail was flat (always ruins a cocktail, no?). Right in the theater district, so easy walk to Wilber and Wang. Get a new manager. I'd probably give it another chance when in that area, but so many choices. Had a smash burger and tots. Quiet good.

Stopped in for the first time. I frequently stay at the Moxy across the street and figured I would give it a try. Nice size bar and friendly bartenders. Was happy to see they serve Maine Lunch IPA, but they also have a few other good options. Cool vibe and clean place. Will definitely return.

Love coming back to this bar in Boston. We stumbled upon this place just walking around the area at midnight one night and it was poppin! We've come back multiple times cause we love the vibe. Drinks are creative and fun. They have some games you can play with your group and they also do ski flights. Overall just a fun place to hangout!

We stumbled upon this place by accident and we're so glad we did! Very fun energy, eclectic decor and great music. Also have a few board games, which is always fun. Didn't try their food but all their drinks sounded and looked delicious. Of course we got the drink they served in a flamingo floatie. Sweet and refreshing while also a little naughty. Will be back!

I came in pretty late but the service was spectacular. They have tiny pink flamingo drink rafts. Capone is the man and we got to meet Ty the owner. They have cool memorabilia at the bar and all the drinks to choose from. They play real great music and the drinks are decently priced. The parking is sucky but it's Downtown what can you expect? It is Def a cool place to grab a drink and meet new people. I can't wait for my next visit.

My husband and i thought we'd stop in to this bar for a drink after a comedy show at the Wilbur while we waited for Uber prices to drop. We were turned away because we were "too drunk" after the guys at the front door looked at our IDs, another bar in the neighborhood would have taken us they said. They accused us of stumbling into the front entrance. My husband and i had one drink each at the show and were massively confused that they turned us away. I felt really embarrassed that i seemed so drunk i wouldn't be allowed a bud light at a local dive bar? I will not be frequenting this bar going forward, clearly I'm not welcome

This is for drinks only. The space is a really great mix of dive bar with kitsch but in a fun way. The drinks were surprisingly good quality, service was fast and helpful even on a Saturday night. Overall a good spot to chill with some friends on a group night out

As a bar, this place is great. However, as a restaurant, not so much. Upon walking in it was super cool inside, very welcoming environment and nice decor. They had a good variety of music playing the whole time as well. The bartender was super nice and attentive, and the drinks were great. They had cute garnishes - the tooth picks had different things on each one. For my spicy margarita ($12) I got a flamingo toothpick and for my blue moon ($7) I had a pineapple toothpick, super cute! However, the food is where I was disappointed. I ordered a steak quesadilla and it was not very good. Not only was it super oily, but the meat tasted like it was old. I ended up picking most of the steak out, but it still wasn't great. I wouldn't have ordered food, but with the COVID rules, I had to. For $15, I was very disappointed in the quality of the food served. I would definitely come back post covid for a drink or two, but I would not order food here again.

Great place to spend your Friday evening. This place has a good location. The atmosphere in the bar is so nice. It has a very beautiful interior design. They have a cool way to serve their cocktails. My personal favorite is a drink that serves in the flamingo floating coaster. The drink was so tasty. It was sweet enough and I love it. To be honest all their drinks look cool. The only issue is that it is hard to find a parking spot close by.

Four in the dive bar category. Very kitschy with the chandeliers and graffiti on the mirrored walls. Cheap bad beer but if you're willing to go a few bucks more you can get some decent micro brews. Buffalo wings were good although I would have went with a little more fire.

During a week long trip in Boston we passed by this bar and instantly became interested due to the loud 90s music playing. We decided to visit a day later (we ended up visiting 2x before our trip ended) If your in the mood for good upscale bar food this is your spot. We tried the loaded tots + burger. I wasn't impressed but the burger, but only because I didn't ask for it well done (our entire trip in Boston we kept experiencing our burgers being cooked medium) , so if your looking to try their burgers I would recommend asking them to cook a little longer. Other than that the ambiance, music, service and drinks were excellent. If your in downtown Boston check them out !

This is a festive little spot in the theater district. The music is a mixed variety for everyone and the Bartender Joey is knowledgeable and helpful and I'd very pleasant and attentive to you as a customer and your needs I would say stop by say hello and grab some wings and sliders!

Fun bar for a post-work hang or night out! Lots of space, espresso martini was BEAUTIFUL and delicious, they offer shot skis & make everyone wear ski goggles while doing them, which was hilarious to watch

Tater tots were super greasy and nasty, hamburger was whatever. We got sick after that. Overpriced nasty food. Also, a place called ROCK & Rye with cool rock pictures but all they play is trap and reggaeton. Ridiculous.

Rock & Rye is one of the more diverse bars that I've stumbled upon in Boston. It has a mix of different ethnicities, ages, locals/tourists, and music (playlists not live). I've struck up many conversations with strangers here. The staff here is very friendly and you can tell that they enjoy working here. It's a low key, down to earth bar with a few games like uno, connect four and tons of hook and rings. The food here is basic bar food, but tastes great. One of my favorites hang out spots in Boston for sure!

I've never had worse service before. I can't believe the way I was treated when I came in here. The bouncer at the front was a douche from the jump but then the bartender inside was an even bigger you know what and was extremely extremely rude. We left a tip hoping it would change the way they were talking to us and treating us but it didn't so I literally called later that night to make sure the tip didn't go through. Quick service, nice vibe and decent food. It was very very short staffed but the waitress was really nice and made sure we were okay the entire time. The drinks are not that strong at all, we had about 4-5 each and we were slightly buzzed (barely) but according to the other reviews, that may be common. We were missing utensils, napkins and water but I don't even blame the waitress. She was literally handling about 5+ tables at once all alone. My burger was not done the way I wanted and nothing was really done about it. I did ask to re-order Overall, it was decent. Other people there seemed to like it.

The bar is super unique. Everyplace you look at the bar has cool decor even the bathroom. I got the salted Carmel Martin and it was delicious. My husband loved it so much he ended up finishing mine. We also got a pull pork grilled cheese that was good as well. Our server was nice, and funny made the experience even better. I am originally from Long Island and would definitely come back to this place 1st.

Idk what they put in their drinks but bartender Joey walked into my house that was burning down and rescued my infant son from dying. He also makes a fire espresso martini. 10/10 recommend.

On a bustling Friday night with the Golden State vs Dallas basketball game on. Our service was extremely good, got our drinks within 5min of arriving and food within 15min. The adult capri Sun was a really good drink, I wasn't a fan of the Moscow mule but everything else was superb.

Without question one of the best bars in boston. Excellent service, friendly staff, awesome vibe, quirky ambience/decorations with a gaming theme. A place that is not to miss if you're visiting the downtown area of Boston.

The food and drinks were good. Enjoyed the music and ambiance. Loved the board games, which allowed for a fun Sunday night with friends. My issue with this place is my experience after. They changed my tip amount afterwards (nearly doubled it), so now I am in discussion with my credit card company to get this resolved. Very unethical and wrong of them.
