12 D.C. Bars With Pool Tables - Eater DC

"There are a few pool tables available in the Brewer’s Lounge, which overlooks the main dining room of this spacious sports bar and brewpub. Summer seasonal drinks include a blood orange seltzer and “Lumpy Dog,” a crisp, Kolsch-style lager." - Travis Mitchell

Stopped here for a quick beer and decided to have dinner. The Texas jalapeño ribeye was decent and cooked well. Was a bit excessive with the spicy butter topping but it all tasted good.

The food is good at the restaurant. We ordered the nachos with chicken, and it was amazing. I wish they did the nachos with refried beans rather than black beans as it taste so much better with refried beans. The southwest bowl with salmon was delicious, but they gave a small piece of salmon for 8 dollars that made it expensive. The sandwich with mac and cheese was good as well. The carrot cake was ok, but it tasted better with ice cream. The service was good, but there was only one server serving inside and outdoors, so we had to look out for him for our requests. They should hire more servers as it is a pretty big restaurant to only have 2 servers to cater to everyone. We had a great time despite getting things a little late than usual, but I would still recommend this place.

The is my first experience with rockbottom and will never return . They gave us raw meat and the steak was suppose to come with garlic mash potato’s yet they gave me FRIES! So upsetting all around. I am 8 months pregnant and wanted a nice meal since i didn’t have energy to cook tonight. Unacceptable experience.

The restaurant offered outstanding service! The bartender was attentive, friendly, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Truly a place where excellent service enhances the dining experience.

We stopped by for lunch this past weekend and it was a good experience. The food was good, they definitely could use more seasoning on their burgers, but it wasn’t terrible. Stay away from the Mac and cheeses, it’s just not good. The brussel sprouts however where immaculate! The drinks are also pretty good. Our bartender was nice and attentive even though she had several customers. We also went upstairs to play a game of pool. You have to leave your license or some form of ID with the bartender, then they give you the balls and you get your stick from the pool area upstairs. At least that’s what happened when we went. There was no bartender working upstairs, so you’ll have to go downstairs if you want a drink. This is a pretty good restaurant all things considered. They can definitely improve on some things, but we would definitely return.

Great ambiance and plenty of draft beer selections made in house! The service can get slow sometimes. The food is ok, I wouldn’t suggest their flatbread options though since they are on a dry side and crust is not the best!

Great selection of beers. Loved the nachos starter, the quantity was large for 2 people. The Margarita pizza was bad. The carrot cake could’ve been better, bit dry.

Well, I've been now, last night, Sunday 8/12. I've read a few of the 5 star reviews, less than substantive and lacking in their basis. I always base my reviews in : ambiance, service, and food quality/quantity factors. Rock Bottom for this visit rates in the range of 3.5-4.0, I am harder to impress with just nachos, beer, and burgers....Here is the review then;. The ambiance is very nice, reminds me of a western saloon or pub, a lot of wood, nice booths separate bar area with tables in a separate room downstairs and a few upstairs along with 3 billards tables. Restrooms upstairs so if you are disabled..not sure what the options are? Restroom had paper towels and was fairly well maintained. Service:. This was Sunday night about 7pm, thus not very busy, we were seated promptly, and server (Michael) and crew were attentive. Only had the wings, an Irish brew, and a Manhattan. The beer was probably the best of the three. The ( Bottom-line) on Rock Bottom is that it does not stand out from BJ's or any other similar restaurant. The experience itself inside is nice, but the food is (run-of-the-mill.). See pictures and enjoy the nachos, burgers, and beer Cheers!
