Rock City was absolutely incredible! Grim and I went in the afternoon, and the entire experience was magical from start to finish. The views from Lookout Mountain are unreal—seeing seven states from one spot is something you just have to experience in person. The trails were so much fun to explore, with massive rock formations, winding paths, and surprises around every corner. Walking across the Swing-A-Long Bridge was a blast, and the waterfalls and gardens added to the beauty of it all. Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village were like stepping into another world—so much creativity and attention to detail. It’s one of those places that feels like a mix of nature, fantasy, and adventure all rolled into one. Everywhere we looked, there was something amazing to take in, and the whole place had this peaceful yet adventurous vibe. If you're anywhere near Chattanooga, Rock City is a must-visit. We’ll definitely be back!

Wear comfortable closed toed shoes and leave your bulky bags. Walking through the caverns can get pretty tight especially for bigger people. If you're not going to walk the caverns it's stroller friendly on the upper paths. There is some up and down rock paths. I did have to stop and rest. Definitely grab a map! Save your appetite for later and eat here for the experience. Pretty views! Free parking! They do offer a military discount at the window, not online.

Google
This is one of my all time favorite places to visit with my family. The view is amazing and I love all the trails along the mountain as well as Fairy Land Caverns. It just never gets old to me because it reminds me of my childhood, and I like that I can share the experience of going there with my own children. Our most recent visit took place during the fall on a week day and the wait time to get in was not bad at all. Definitely recommend going in the fall or the spring. Just a beautiful and magical place.

Google
Visited Rock City today after finding out they are pet friendly. This is one of my all-time favorite places to visit when I am in Chattanooga. My Arya loved every minute exploring. She was a brave girl and went on the swing along bridge with no issues. The only place she was scared was heading down to the fairytale gardens. I would highly recommend any dog owner to bring their furry child with them, but make sure to bring water, bowl, and potty bags as there is only one doggy bag station half way in and no water spots.

Google
It's really beautiful on the weekend, and I think it would be great to go with your lover, family, and children. It was really beautiful because it had a charm even in winter. The weather was a little cloudy, but it was great to be able to see far away. I recommend it.

Google
Excellent attraction near Chattanooga. Entry fee is 33 dollars per adult and 23 dollar for kids. Plenty of parking spots available and I recommend buying tickets in advance via their website. Overall close to couple of miles for walking that involves passing through very narrow walkways among rocks. But it’s truly breathtaking views once you reach the view point. The pathways are all paved and pretty easy to walk.

Google
This is a must see for everybody of all ages. Beautiful paths along the cliffs decorated beautifully. Spectacular views from the cliffs. Reasonably priced shops and restaurants also on the premises. My favorite part was actually the fairy tale caverns, me and my wife almost skipped it thinking that it would just be stuff for small children. Boy were we wrong, it was an amazing pathway with little caverns carved out with each one with a different nursery rhyme scene. Absolutely a must see and a remarkable work of art. Looking forward to coming back next time we are back in town.

Google
Me, and my family went on CHRISTmas just after dark. It was almost $200 for 5 of us. It was worth every penny spent. We all enjoyed the lights. Mostly we enjoyed walking in multiple caves and in-between them. The main waterfall was absolutely beautiful, and the view from the top was breathtaking. I recommend taking a few quarters to look over the city. We stayed for 4 hours. It takes about an hour and a half to walk it all but we did some things twice especially the swinging bridge my kiddos really enjoyed that part. Highly recommend for a family fun day!;

Yelp
Visiting Rock City in the winter offers a completely different, yet equally enchanting experience compared to the warmer months. The usual hustle and bustle of the tourist season is significantly reduced, making for a much more peaceful and serene visit. The crisp winter air, combined with the quiet beauty of the rock formations and scenic views, creates a tranquil atmosphere that's perfect for those seeking a more reflective and leisurely experience. The trail through the park, though potentially a bit slippery due to ice or frost, is still accessible and allows for a slower, more deliberate pace as you explore the unique rock formations and views. Many of the highlights, like "Fat Man's Squeeze" and "See 7 States" viewpoint, offer a striking contrast in winter, with fewer crowds and sometimes even a dusting of snow on the ground, which adds a magical touch to the surroundings. The panoramic vistas are still stunning, though winter visibility can sometimes be limited by cloud cover or weather. One of the most beautiful parts of a winter visit to Rock City is the quiet beauty of the gardens, which, though dormant, have a serene charm. The trees and rock faces are often dusted with snow, creating a picturesque winter wonderland. The Fairyland Caverns, in particular, take on a whole new atmosphere, with the soft lighting creating an almost ethereal effect against the cold backdrop. However, some attractions--like the seasonal gardens and certain outdoor exhibits--are not in full bloom during the winter months, so if you're visiting specifically for the colorful flowers and lush landscapes, it might not be the best time. Still, for those seeking a quieter, more contemplative visit, winter at Rock City has a magical, almost otherworldly feel. Keep in mind that some facilities, like the restaurants, may have limited hours, but the experience of walking through the park without the usual crowds makes up for this. If you're prepared for the chill and possible icy spots on the path, Rock City in winter is a peaceful, unique experience worth having, offering beauty in a more subdued, wintery way.

Yelp
My wife and I have always wanted to visit Rock City. We finally got to yesterday. First of all, I highly recommend going during the week. We got a front parking spot and didn't have to wait for anything. There was not a lot of people there at all. I can imagine during peak times this place would get packed. Just by the trail formations, I can imagine I would have not enjoyed this at all. Rock City is like a nature hike that winds through a rock formation. It takes about 2 hours if you really take in the experience and there are plenty of places to take photos. The Lovers Leap area is very nice and the view is great. The best place for photos is the trail that winds below the rocks with the little out crop. You can see it from Lovers Leap. I took the photo below from that spot. The trail gets better as it goes and it ends in the Fairy Tales section. Black lights and darkness make for some great photos. The only thing I would complain about is the price. At $30 plus, it's a little steep. I think $20 is plenty to see this place. But other than that, it's really nice.

Yelp
While visiting a friend in the area, they offered this as an outdoorsy area I might like to check out. Rock City is on a bluff near the state line, that offers some stunning panoramic views of 5+ states depending on where you're standing. The majority of the attraction is accessible to most people, I saw a couple folks in wheel chairs. But there are some places like the canopy bridge (NOT for those who are afraid of heights, the bridge does move!) and the very narrow crevices with names like "Needle's Eye" (I could barely shimmy through) that may not be for everyone. The highlights were the panoramic views of multiple states above ground, and below ground the Fairyland Cavern full of diorama remakes of classic fairytale scenes. There is a small eatery and gift shop with beautiful views on the property as well. This is a fun place to spend an hour or two, with something for all ages.

Yelp
Definitely touristy but interesting that the Carters did this garden in the 1930s. Some tight squeezes so not for the claustrophobic!

Chloe T.

Yelp
This is such a great spot to visit near Chattanooga! My mom and I had so much fun walking around and exploring this new area. The views were awesome. We especially loved the unique underground fairytale area with all the children's songs shown as displays. Such a cool form of art, and we loved learning about he history of the place.

Steve E.

Yelp
What a gem on top of the mountain. So cool for adults and kids. You can get food and drinks and walk around at your own pace without feeling rushed. There are a lot of people inside but it doesn't feel crowded because it's such a huge place with 5 different paths to check out. We will be back!

Haley S.

Yelp
This place is fun for all ages. If you want a fun inclusive walk through with beautiful views, great immersive experiences and beautiful art this is definitely a great day trip. Rock city was beautiful and I definitely enjoyed it so much I'll be back again!!

Kaile N.

Yelp
We just got back from Chattanooga and one of the most memorable parts of our trip was visiting Rock City Gardens for the holiday lights. It was so beautiful and magical! I kept thinking there couldn't possibly be more, but there was! We just kept walking and finding new cool light displays. It was amazing! Would love to go back next year!

Shelby G.

Yelp
Plan to walk in the heat! Tips: wear comfortable shoes, bring water, take lots of pics! There's plenty of parking. Buy tickets online to save $5 a ticket. Starbucks across the street. Gift shop onsite. Food and drinks on site.

Maegan B.

Yelp
We stopped here on the trip for vacation and we're so glad we did! We spent over two hours here and it was all worth it m, we got so many amazing family pictures and memories. We've never been anywhere like this and if you haven't been I highly suggest you go. LOTS to see and do here. It is a lot of walking but we really liked it. Had our kids (3-13) and they all had a blast too!

Yelp
Gorgeous mountain views and art all in one place, sign me up! Location and Parking Located a bit south of Downtown Chattanooga, Rock City is a beautiful diversion on the drive back to Atlanta. Parking is free and if you purchased tickets online, you can skip the line and simply show the barcode to the staff at the turnstile. Venue and Atmosphere As soon as you enter, you're greeted by a calming waterfall and rhododendron bush. Escape into nature as you zig zag through rocky paths, stop for photo ops with waterfalls, and squeeze through narrow rock formations (fat man's squeeze had me scared for a minute but I survived). Lover's Leap is the main attraction here, with gorgeous views and rocking chairs to take it all in. I wasn't a huge fan of the fairytale caverns; I thought it was creepy. But there is an option to bypass this area. The tour ends in the gift shop, where you can purchase anything from fudge to the famous Rock City birdhouses. Verdict I'll certainly return next time I'm in Chattanooga!

Yelp
You've heard of glamping, right? Luxury camping. Well, this is the hiking version of that! Things you should know: I. PARKING There's a vast, free parking lot out front of the entry to the gardens. Easy peasy. II. SERVICE I recommend pre-buying your tickets online since they're discounted! $30 online | $35 in person. There's bathrooms at the entryway, a cafe at the viewpoint, and a couple places along the trail to get chu some booze or water. III. QUALITY The grounds are well manicured. EXTREMELY photogenic. All of the pathways along the rocks are gorgeous, with subtle pops of intentional green plants. The best way I can describe the beginning of the garden is.... it's like a white-people version of a Japanese zen garden.. where the plants don't intrude with the general environment. IV. CAPACITY We went during a weekday (Friday) at 14:00. No line. No crowd. It was very pleasant. Especially when we wanted to take photos, we didn't have to worry about a flood of people pushing us forward. Don't worry, you can take your time & dilly dally if you come on a weekday.

Yelp
A very wonderful and PET FRIENDLY experience! Rock City Gardens is a popular outdoor attraction that consists of a 4,100 foot path located on the Georgia side of Lookout Mountain. It's a great place for people of all ages. You basically follow the walking trail through the rocks and take in the scenery. One could consider it to be touristy, but it's absolutely worth it to visit at least once, if not twice. Some highlights are Lover's Leap, seeing seven states at once, crossing over a 180 foot swing-a-long suspension bridge, weaving through Needle's Eye and Fat Man's Squeeze, and enjoying the figurines depicting fairytales and classic children's stories in the Fairyland Caverns and Mother Goose Village. We really love and appreciate how Rock City is proud to be a pet-friendly attraction. Any leashed pets are welcome to walk the Enchanted Trail or to dine in the pet section at Café 7 with you. Be sure to remember your poop bags and respectfully pick up after your pet. Plan accordingly since this is a mostly an outdoor attraction. Depending on the time of year you visit, it's either hot or chilly, so wear appropriate clothes for the weather, comfortable shoes, and bring some water and snacks. Be sure to arrive earlier in the day to avoid the crowds, too. Wonderful place to go see, explore, and be in awe. Highly recommend!

Jonathan O.

Yelp
This is our family's favorite stop in all of Chattanooga. It's such a fun, quirky, beautiful spot. Like stepping back in time to a tourist stop if yesteryear. The rock gardens, fairytale village, and scenic views make this a perfect spot to spend half a day. The food at the Cave 7 is incredible. Perfect for the adults while the kids eat hotdogs next door. We love going here each year and can't recruit enough.

Lindsay H.

Yelp
Our family of five spent our first night in Chatt at the Enchanted Garden of Lights at Rock City/Lookout Mountain. We purchased timed tickets at the beginning of October for viewing the lights a week before Christmas and paid about $120 for two adults and three kids. There is plenty of free parking in the nearby lots but it is so poorly marked and lit that cars spaced themselves out far too wide and it takes awhile to weave around an find a car-sized opening. We arrived about 20 minutes prior to our ticket time and were let in 15 min prior. Bundle up if seeing these lights around the holidays as it is extra cold and windy atop the mountain. I loved the Arctic Kingdom was my favorite with blue twinkle lights and penguins. The (almost) unanimous favorite of the exhibits was the Fairytale Land, which takes you into caverns below and has black lit fairy tale stories shown throughout in large diorama form. You end with a really large exhibit. Note that this section (and many others) have LOTS of stairs and tight quarters with rock formations. I do not recommend this if you have physical limitations. In addition, do not bring a stroller here. I saw many couples arguing and near tears because they had to carry strollers up and down long flights of narrow and slippery stairs. We enjoyed this place but don't plan on making this a tradition for the holidays. I would like to come back during daylight in the Fall, however. I'm sure it is gorgeous.

Yelp
Honestly, Rock CitY Gardens was my motivation & inspiration to check out Chattanooga even though it's technically in GA. Touristic? Yes. Terrific? Absolutely! I would give this place a good solid 3 hours to explore, if you want to do so leisurely and you take lots of pics. Tickets are timed & we got a $5 discount when purchasing online. But you can purchase admission at the gate. Parking was easy, although i can imagine the parking lots getting full quickly during the high season. If you want to enjoy the outdoors and see some scenic views and go on a whimsical, enchanted journey through cool rock formations without getting lost & needing little direction, this is the place! I was in full exploration modewith every corner we turned. It truly feels like you're in a rock forest and you feel the solidity & the magnitude of the rocks swallowing you. There are so many highlights to experience, from the vast mountain range of green hues overlooking 7 different states, peering down the roaring falls rushing feverishly over the towering gray cliff sending you into a dizzying spell, viewing nature's beauty from the Opera box overview, or walking through the partially, cold dark narrow passageways of Fat Man's Squeeze & Needle's eye as the daylight pierces through the crevices at the top. More adventures & surprises await as you dare to cross the swinging bridge as the person behind you begins to shake the wooden slats into a shaky, unsteady fury. Look down below & you will see winding stone wall paths & look above to see people crossing up high in the sky. Towards the end of this trek you will find yourself among familiar faces & stories that are brought to life carved in wood, painted in a flurry of colors (black light paint),some creepy & some adorable. Side note: This isn't a wheelchair/stroller/walker accessible place. Although, if you refer to their map which I posted, there is a limited mobility accessible path, but it mostly leads to the shops & restaurants. If you have difficulty navigating steps/stairs and uneven terrain or severe knee problems, you might want to reconsider or take into account your mobility level. I wouldn't advise doing it on crutches or a walking boot. It's a lot of up and down and meandering & winding paths with puddles of water in certain areas, along with tight spaces (Needle's Eye & Fat Man Squeeze). Also some low vision areas in the dark tunnel areas and in the Fairyland Caverns & Mother Goose Village (which is the exit). Majority of the pathways are one way. If you do get hungry they do have sandwiches, hotdogs and pizza type foods. One cafe & gift shop is at the top where Lover's Leap area is, along with bathrooms. At the entrance & exit are shops & bathrooms and a Grill house. There is a Starbucks across the street as well. If you love gnomes, this is a haven for them, to look at & buy. It was a tremendous amount of fun & a unique experience. Rock City is dog friendly as long as they're on a leash & well behaved. Things to take into consideration, wear comfortable shoes with good grip. Use the bathroom before you head in, just in case. The other restrooms are further at the top, it's a good ways. So if you have an emergency you might not make it in time. Just saying, not from experience. haha Also be mindful, both adults and children alike, the stone walls are low, one can easily fall over the edge if leaning over or if you trip or fall. So make sure you have eyes on your balance challenged friends/family & little ones.

Carol D.

Yelp
We didn't go inside, $40 per person just to look at the view of 7 states is a tourist trap to me. We were there at 3PM and the girl at the ticket window told us we wouldn't get in until 5 PM. It's not a tour so I'm not sure why we would need to wait. I think we saw at least 5 of the states on the way down the mountain anyway. Parking was an unorganized mess and the girl who was directing traffic was giving everyone dirty looks. I would skip this in Chattanooga. The Cave tour with Ruby falls was well worth it.

Julianne R.

Yelp
Tip: Book online for convenience and pick the earliest time on a weekday for the best chance at no crowds. If you've been here before, I recommend going to a special event like Rocktober or doing it in the dark for a different experience. However, if it's your first time, daytime is best! It took me 1.5 hrs to go through the full loop. There's plenty to see and take pictures of. What a great place to take in the scenery and breathe out your worries! Navigating the place is super easy; all you gotta do is follow the red doors and signs. This family-friendly tourist attraction is well worth it!

Ivy M.

Yelp
Just lovely. Like no other place. Enchanting. Would recommend the yearly passes. Free guest passes, a few times a year.

Rachel L.

Yelp
It's totally a tourist trap, but that doesn't take away from the natural beauty and wonderful views this place offers. Just 15 minutes or so south of downtown Chattanooga, Rock City is a great spot to explore and it's worth the admission at least once if you haven't been before. Buy tickets in advance if you can as the line is quite long. Be prepared for crowds, and maybe do a few sit-ups before you go.... a few of those rocks you have to slide between are quite narrow!

Padma A.

Yelp
Beautiful gardens and rock formations, it was a lovely experience for my friends and me to walk around the gardens and take pictures.

Dorothy S.

Yelp
This is a privately owned park. And though beautiful, with some owner enhanced phonomenans.... Is it really worth $70. Per couple to walk 1-hour? Walking, not carting, training.... Walking, squeezing through narrow Alley's We walked all the way to the high point lookout and we're shoo'd out because the workers were closing down the view point area. Shoo'd like cattle. So now I have paid $35. To go on a nature walk that allowed me in, took my money , and shoo'd me off of the very point we came to look at.... And why? Because they sold me tickets late enough in the evening that did not allow me time to enjoy the whole walk. 1-hour.... $70. Where I come from--- that's highway robbery! Welcome to Chattanooga.... ! The park was amazing! That time-cost ratio is way out of bounds.

Yan C.

Yelp
Amazing very nice place !!! Lots of cool stuff to see ! It's really cool for kids and adults too ! Definitely trippy place !!!

Vanessa N.

Yelp
This was actually an enjoyable family experience. It took us about 2 hrs to complete with a couple of toddlers. This is not a stroller friendly activity. You can bring a stroller and park it at the gift shop. Otherwise, the toddlers were all held. The one downside is that as the pathways were narrow, the pace can be a bit slow depending on the people in front of you. The swing along bridge wasn't bad, but those with squeamish little ones who might throw themselves back while being held, I suggest taking the alternative rock bridge.

Mike M.

Yelp
Great time nice lights and displays. Friendly staff. 2-3 miles of walk adventure and sight seeing.

Christa S.

Yelp
We love Rock city. It is a very relaxing walk through the caverns. The views are amazing. If you are claustrophobic there are bypass areas for the caverns but I will admit it does limit the amount you get to do. We loved the fairytale caverns. I also loved the swinging bridge. It has great views. The seven states cliff area is a wonderful place to sit in a rocking chair and have a snack and a drink. It takes about 1 1/2 hours to get through the whole place. But we took our time and relaxed. This is not a place for strollers, Baby strap carrier would work.

David S.

Yelp
Third year going this time decided to bring mom, shes in a wheelchair and very limited. The blue ADA rout stops before the overlook and food, so we had to take her down the yellow route near the bathrooms. We sat in the heated roundhouse after letting her see the view. We never did find a way to take her by the shops without stairs, which was sad she had wanted to buy gifts. This was the worst year for parents not keeping track of their kids, climbing on the tree of lights near the overlook bathrooms, and I swear they aim for the wheel chair. Walk on the right, dont stand in the middle, whats wrong with people. Overalit was the worst experience so far, glad I did not renew our yearly pass, very disappointing. I think ADA and seniors should not pay full price since they can not enjoy everything but what do I know. I think the staff should be able to tell us how to get someplace when the sign choices have clearly ended. Bathrooms, one by overlook mens was ok, womens less then ok, one by entrance terrible. Four adults a couple of sliders each tater tots and sweet potato sides with hot chocolates and ciders and spent over 300 bucks, so sadly next year mom will not be going. The food was ok the hot chocolate great, blackberry cider very good. I don't know I'm on the fence about next year at all. And we were going all the time as members, it was so nice not long ago. The light displays were good though.

Grace R.

Yelp
I came here as a kid when I was about 10 years old, but now wanted to show it to my husband. It did not disappoint. This was by far our favorite thing to do in Chattanooga. You can rush through and do it in just over an hour, or you can really savor it and spend over 2.5 hours (even longer if you do conceals or lunch here). I enjoyed the nostalgia to see the Mushroom Rock again, the wooden suspension bridge, the 1000 Ton balanced rock, Lovers Leap, and of course Fairytale and Mother Goose Land. We marveled at everything and loved it. I would love to come back and show my kids and grandkids.

Hyunmi A.

Yelp
I purchased online tickets for the rock city garden on Sep. 29th. At that time, it was rainy and the road was closed because of a hurricane so I thought we cannot make it. I called and asked to get refund the tickets, and they said the tickets will be refunded in 2-3 business days. But nothing happend. I called again on October, November, December over 7 times. Sometimes the staff who can manage refund is not available. Sometimes I could talk with the staff and he got my order number and last 4 digits of my creditcard. But still nothing happened. I left voice msgs or question on customer services, but nothing happened again even no reply, no feedback. Where can I get help? At least, they should have given the reason to me-Why is the transaction not completed. I hope they will show me their responsibility or a good customer service.

Emily C.

Yelp
We loved Rock City and the Mother Goose exhibit. My husband and kids are all builders and they were fascinated by the "how" of this exhibit. We walked around twice, and I think my 9yo would've stayed there all day.

Bruce K.

Yelp
Quite magical and a perfect place to go with kids. I came here during Labor Day weekend and honestly, I thought it was great. Note though, if you have a stroller, it's not going to happen here. You'll have to either carry your kid/toddler or they're going to have to walk through the whole area and you can easily spend about 2 hours going through the whole walk. There are a good amount of steps, so it's good to know that before going. If you have any physical disabilities or difficulties, this might be a place where you skip. There are a lot of magical places though that I found that all the toddlers and kids that we went with enjoyed. There are also cramped spaces where the rocks are very narrow, that you'll have to either duck or slip through sideways. Otherwise, it's pretty open as far as walkways goes. Overall, a great experience and would recommend if you have never been and you want to see some curated pieces and read stories about the area.

Allison C.

Yelp
Native Chattanoogan here... Rock City has changed so much over the years and I feel like recently it's lost some of its spark. They've removed the deer which was always fun to see and many of the hidden gnomes are gone. I do appreciate the timed tickets now so you're not forced to be with masses of people. The Fairyland Caverns needs a massive update though and I would love to see more sitting areas with the scenic views. Overall I feel like once you've gone once there is no need to go again. If you're local, use your tickets to purchase a year pass and see the Christmas lights for free!!

Davida B.

Yelp
I'd definitely recommend a visit here. I love solo day trips and this was part of my weekend trip. The rock garden is beautiful, so much to see. About 3/4 - 1 mile stroll. There are some really tight squeezes between boulders, that was pretty fun.

Anita G.

Yelp
This is a very BEAUTIFUL place to visit!! Don't rush! And see this place at least once in your lifetime! we visited in the first week of June 2024. They had added more landscaping since the last time I had visited. They also have a very nice gift shop! Lots to choose from! I would recommend adding this to your bucket list!!

Amy A.

Yelp
100% go! Tickets are definitely reasonably priced for such an amazing place. If you're thinking about it, GO!

Melissa I.

Yelp
I came here after Ruby Falls. I highly recommend you do Ruby Falls and Rock City together -- it's only about 10 minutes apart and both are great experiences. It was VERY hot but luckily, there is a ton of shade and places to sit along the hike. They also have some vending machines with drinks as well about half way thru. This hike is beautiful, the swinging bridge is fun and the little gnomes/fairytale walk-thru is adorable. I don't remember the exact times but I think it took about 2 hours to walk through, and parking is free! I went to a couple places in this area and this was my favorite. FYI I did not go to the Starbucks, but wow what an awesome looking Starbucks! They also have some nice shops on property as well. I did not buy anything as the cashier system was down at the time.

Christian T.

Yelp
Horrible customer service and experience purchasing tickets. My family and I love visiting Rock City and experiencing the lights during Christmas time. We were so excited to see the lights this Christmas, however we won't get to take the kids this year due to the worst online process I've ever seen. When I tried to purchase tickets last night for a certain time, there were 55 slots available, but the online portal gave me an constant error time after time. I called this afternoon to ask for help since the online ticketing portal was not working. I explained my issue to the person on the other line, so they transferred me to a different department. Instead of the phone transferring, they hung up on me. I called back several times but no answer. I called back at a few minutes later and still no answer. I finally was able to get a hold of someone this afternoon. Once I got a hold of someone, she was so rude. I could not finish explaining my issue before Lourie got defensive and rude with me. All I wanted was a little help with purchasing tickets for my family since the online system was not working for me. She raised her voice for no reason and told me that I was out of luck. I understand that the time I was looking at going was sold out, but for a costumer service person to raise their voice at me because I had a simple question is totally out of line. She did the same thing to my fiancé a few minutes after getting off the phone with me about a different subject. My fiancé needed to ask a question about tickets unrelated to my situation because we were looking at other night. She again raised her voice at my fiancé for asking a simple question. It was quite honestly the rudest costumer service I have ever received. Also, the ticketing software needs an upgrade online. It never really works and I always have to call for help. Last year's costumer service person was so great and understanding. Too bad they hired the grinch this year...

Yelp
Been here many times, different times of year. It never disappoints! I love the waterfall. I love the little fairy details. It's fairly reasonable. They have a legit Starbucks across the street. Their Christmas lights are gorgeous and we missed them by a week, but it was still beautiful! I highly recommend coming here.

Yelp
What a beautiful place to visit. I wish I had more time to fully enjoy. It's a must-see! It was one of my favorite things I did in the area.

Yelp
We drove 15 hours to see the Falls at Rock City. When we got there, there was no water in the waterfall, and they didn't tell us at the entrance that we would NOT see the water. I called to get a refund or a free ticket to go again when there was water. But they said they couldn't do anything for us, that it was a power outage. They simply ignored our desire to travel so far to show our children the waterfall that WE, their parents, had visited 12 years ago. Another thing, we ate at the park, at the top of the mountain. A very ugly restaurant with very dirty people serving, but since we were hungry, we stayed because we had no other option. We were treated very badly and after 20 minutes I asked where my most expensive pizza in the world was, costing 29 dollars for a crust with cheese on top and they said they would still put it in the oven. I was incredibly angry and asked for my money back and wanted 4 slices of the pizza that was ready and cost 5 dollars, a rip-off!... We took it and went to sit down and in the middle of the pizza my daughter found a huge black hair in the middle of the cheese... I went back and returned it and said that I would not pay for a hairy pizza. Bring something to eat, DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE ON TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, it's dirty and extremely expensive! Rock City, never again and whoever I can tell not to go there, I will... I've already posted it in the city newspaper, here on Google and in other places I can... They didn't give me back the 4 tickets I paid for to see the waterfall that I didn't see, if I had seen it, I would have ignored the hairy food, but the experience was terrible especially with customer service. If they recognized their mistake and backtracked it would be great, but they only want to make a profit and not build a clientele. Customer Service, thank you for not doing anything!!!!

Yelp
If I lived in Tennessee I would have an annual pass. This place is amazing especially during the fall season. Great place to bring tourists. We went during the week Tuesday and it was not busy at all. It's a great place to take pictures, soak in nature and being quiet... it's just a beautiful place to be at. go and see it for yourself

Yelp
Beautiful! Pictures doesn't do it any Justice. My friend and I decided to try Lookout Mountain while in Chattanooga. This walk, trail, hike....whatever you choose to call it is a wonderful way to spend a few hours. I think it took us about 3 hours. This is with us taking pictures and just enjoying views. There is a restaurant and a Starbucks right across the street from here. I'm so glad we stopped!

Yelp
Customer service is a big zero! Don't expect a call back from these people and if you purchase multiple gold passes don't do it on one account only as you will only get one visitor pass per month even if you buy 10 passes. Super shady business practices and zero accountability from customer service. It's a beautiful location but the business side of it lacks integrity and accountability.

Yelp
This place is really cool ! It takes about two hours to walk the whole thing ... wear comfortable shoes . Very beautiful. Gnomes hidden in the caves ...

Yelp
Beautiful place with a unique fairyland cave experience. We enjoyed ourselves tremendously, but deducted a point because we thought that the entrance fee was a bit steep ($29 for online tickets and $34 for tickets at the venue). Regardless the views are spectacular and the whole experience feels like a little adventure. We would not hesitate to recommend Rock City to family & friends!

Yelp
Just to say you've actually saw it. I can understand why the indigenous ppl chose the area to put their villages. Do not like all the man made enhancements.

Yelp
First time here and didn't really know what to expect. This place is full of more than 90 years of history. The hike is pretty leisurely but boasts a ton of killer views and kinda creepy kinda weird looking fairyland gaverns. This is one of Chattanooga's tourist attractions so If you're here, it is worth a couple of hours to come visit. Each landmark that you approach has a story behind it which I loved. It's the perfect place to spend a leisurely afternoon or just to take some Instagrammable photos. Hubby and I came here to do both. Lol! They are military friendly which brings the entrance fee down. Parking is free. If you're afraid of heights or are claustrophobic, this may not be for you. Be prepared to walk across a bridge, squeeze in tight walls, walk through a cave and view the lovers leap. All picture worthy !!

Yelp
Totally enjoyed out 3 hour visit. It was a beautiful day, so even with the haze could see "the 7 states." The grounds are well kept. It's a lovely botanical garden with rocks and waterfalls throughout. There is a route for those with physical disabilities. We did not take it, although it might have been safer for my partner. There aren't handrails on most stairs along the trail. There are very narrow passages. The character area in the cavern was adorable. We had a light lunch near Lover's Leap. For the last 60 years that I passed the signs, I always thought "Rock City" was a place you bought rocks. The name did not encourage me to check it out. Other people we met in Chattanooga gave us a better idea of what to expect. I'm very glad we finally visited this national treasure.

Yelp
Wow I had not visited this place since I was a small kid and what AMAZING nostalgia it was returning!!! This was such a great experience of having something stay so much the same after having to endure having so many things from fun childhood memories destroyed in so many places such as at Disney World (not to mention Disney continuing to destroy my childhood memories with what they have done with their abominable treatment of Star Wars and then the other criminals that have destroyed Star Trek and Dr. Who as well grrrr...). It was so whimsical to remember the TERROR I recalled in childhood of crossing the super scary swinging bridge and recalling how infinitely far down a fall it looked back then and then back to the now so many years later as an adult seeing it wasn't really all that far down... but I still wasn't trying to fall off the bridge and it was lucky nobody tried to swing that bridge or it would have caused rude outbursts from me... and it was also not that very far of a walk to even get across what seemed like a very short swinging bridge now and I could remember I was bigger now and not so very much scared anymore of heights (as long as I have my climbing or parachute harness on). The views were absolutely stunning and things were even more amazing than I remembered looking all around at the fantastic scenery. Then when descending deep into the grotto to enter fairyland so many long dim memories came rushing back seeing all the gnomes and miniature fairy tale displays looked so familiar when I saw them but which had nearly vanished from my recollection until the minute I saw them and immediately knew them like a long lost friend. My ONLY disappointment of this visit was that the restaurant was closed so now I have an excuse to make another visit sooner than later!!!
