How Do Food Banks Actually Work? | Eater

"A small, regenerative farm whose operator mobilized local growers and resources during the pandemic by setting up a Zoom call to share and distribute resources, helping catalyze a regional food coalition. The farm is noted for its food-security work and participated as a local producer supplying the coalition; when asked about supplying turkeys for a school distribution, the farm’s allocations were already earmarked for families." - Mike Diago

Queer Farmers Are Changing the Landscape | Eater

"A queer-owned cooperative farm in Dutchess County, New York where program director Amara Ullauri helps center cooperative, queer-led approaches to land stewardship. The farm emphasizes reconnecting to ancestral land-based practices, expanding definitions of family on the farm, and creating shared learning spaces that support survival, sustenance, and cultural continuity for queer and BIPOC participants." - Jaya Saxena
