Three of us stopped here for a quick bite and drinks around lunch time. We sat in the bar area and our server was the bartender. Great personality, friendly, attentive and knowledgeable. I ordered the crab cakes per his recommendation and they were excellent. I live in a land locked state and wouldn't waste my time ordering crab cakes. These were tender, all crab with minimal filler. The other two parties were just as pleased with their orders. Drinks were expertly made and the "surprise" shots were delicious and strong! We enjoyed our experience and wouldn't hesitate to return or recommend.

Came to Salem with our friends from Yorkshire, England and we had a great dinner at Rockafellas. Our British friends LOVED the fish and chips- best they ever had! I had the Marinated Steak tips, which was a large portion of perfectly seasoned sirloin tips. Delicious. My wife had the Sausage Rustica, which she loved. The place looked great, the bathrooms were clean, and the service was excellent. Definitely recommend.

Google
- food had a good flavor but my pasta was pretty much like soup and had so much sausage in it but not that many noodles. - staff were really friendly and helpful. - service was quick. - place was clean and organized. - prices are normal for the area. - history on the building is cool, supposed to be haunted. - no onsite parking. - overall, everything but my food was a good experience.

Google
Nice spot in central Salem to grab a good bite to eat! Food was good and service very nice. Recommend the fish and chips - which is a huge portion shareable for 2, the house chili and their chicken wings and Caesar salad. Also the Notch Salem lager 🍻 and Salem witch cocktail were really good drinks to order!

My partner and I reserved the bank vault for our meal and had a nice time! Personally, I don't know if $50 was worth it to stay in the vault, as the room itself was very plain, but it was nice to have a quieter area to eat. The food was good and we both had great drinks! Overall, happy with our experience here. the Halloween decorations around the main restaurant were also very fun!

Google
A good place in Salmon, where everyone can find something. The fish and chips were pretty good, though you don’t get as much fish as expected for the price. I also recommend the fig and cheese flatbread, the gluten-free flatbread was also very good.

Google
The food was superb! Onion soup was better than the one we had in Quebec. Pear and walnut salad was great as well. Ask to dine inside the old vault...

Google
The food was so delicious. Our waitress was great. We did the haunted tour prior and learned about "The lady in blue" so it was cool to actually be able to get in on Halloween.

Yelp
I came into Rockafella's around 7:45 PM and was seated in a booth and served by Mia, an excellent and enthusiastic server. I have trained several servers before and can say that Mia is a diamond in the rough and is nothing short of perfection regarding her service to others. I had the Angus Burger and asked for several modifications to the burger and had a wierd request regarding my salad. My order was perfect and was prepared beautifully with the burger being cooked medium rare as requested. The food in combination with the exquisite service from Mia earns a five-star review. I heavily recommend heading here for food anytime.

Yelp
We loved our lunch here, sitting outdoor in a warm and breezy day. There was no wait, our server was a happy man, quick in taking our orders and getting them out. Rockfella chicken sandwich was so juicy and flavourful, we enjoyed it a lot. Nice music and clean facility.

Yelp
Walking around Salem we came across Rockafella's cute patio and decided to eat there. The hostess is lovely. i ordered the crab cake BLT with onion rings and my son had the halibut with vegetables and risotto. Everyone who sat after us had their meals and we didn't. Our waitress came by to let us know that the order was just placed and asked if we needed anything else. My son ordered a beer (you would have thought she'd give it to him for free for not putting in our order, but no). When our order finally arrived and everyone was gone from the patio even people who were sat after us, I asked for a ranch dressing. He told me that he'd be right back with it. We never saw him again!!! I told the waitress, when she checked on us (at least 15 minutes later) and she asked why I didn't ask her for it. This was her first time checking on us since the food was delivered! Very strange service and nothing comped when they made mistakes twice!! Food and drinks were good. Nice sized crab cake on a brioche bun with perfectly cooked bacon. The onion rings were tempura battered. My son loved the fish and roasted vegetables, but he wasn't fond of the risotto. Overall, delicious meal and drinks! Bummer that our service was so poor.

Yelp
Danni was very friendly and cute! The food took a very long time. But it was worth it!! Delicious delicious! I had beyond meat and u can taste the grill on it so yummy!!!! Love the history of this place also. I sat on the higher chairs which is not. Plus sized friendly but. Comfy! I. Loved how they even have a Samoan drink! I'm. Samoan so I loved that

Maggie Z.

Yelp
Great food but long wait and higher prices compared to surrounding businesses. The staff were PHENOMENAL, from the hostess to the server to the bussers, everyone was friendly and happy to chat with us. The food is good with ample vegetarian and vegan options. The butterbeer cocktail was AMAZING, I'm still thinking about it. Drop in for a drink and appetizer because the food is a bit too pricey for what's given. Fun note: this restaurant is said to be haunted by the tour guides of the ghost tours! See the portrait of the blue lady in this histories Salem building.

Yelp
Stopped in for drinks and an appetizer. Service and food were ok. Drinks: Salem Witch - sweet, pineapple drink and they put cute little witches feet in it. Shipyard Pumpkinhead - the pumpkin spice rim makes this beer even more delicious than it would be without. Smooth, easy to drink! Definitely recommend We ordered the spinach and artichoke dip. Our order apparently got sent to another table so we waited quite a bit for it and once it did come out, it was an ok dish. It was much "runnier" or watered down than traditional artichoke dip and not sure if that's standard or because they rushed it out after we waited. Flavor was ok, not the best but not the worst by any means either.. would give it a 3 out of 5 stars. Overall.. the patio area is nice, but (at least during October) there was a line for that seating. Bar area was first come first serve and we had no problem snagging a two top by the bar for a quicker stop.

Yelp
This is a big restaurant with so many options and centrally located in the center of Salem tourist area. As a hungry vegetarian. I was very pleased with my sun-dried grilled cheese sandwich, and the ginger beer. The sun-dried pesto sauce was delicious and very rich and a great combination with my grilled cheese. The service was good and sitting outside. It was a great way to people watch as well as get some vitamin D.

Amanda W.

Yelp
Decent spot - nothing really wow'd between the salad and the crab cake sandwich but overall not too shabby!

Adam S.

Yelp
Cool location. Good service. Nice atmosphere. Asked for my burger medium and it was served blue. I do not ever send food back, but I couldn't eat it. They took it back to cook it more. When it came back out it was now missing most of its toppings and was still very rare. Thanked them, went outside and tossed it. Also extremely annoying that they stop serving sandwiches at 5. Why?

Tricia W.

Yelp
As promised, hubs and I returned on Saturday night. Originally just for drinks, but we ended up getting a couple of snacks as well. Drinks: super refreshing and interesting! Food: Memphis wings and hummus platter. The wings were tender and juicy, fried to perfection, and had a yummy bbq sauce. A bit on the sweet side for me, but with a few crushed red pepper flakes, awesome! Hummus was great, and I loved the added veg for dipping! Service: Jack the bartender was great; let us know how long we had to order before the kitchen was closing and kept our drinks flowing! Much improved Rockafellas!

Oliver B.

Yelp
This eatery is housed in a historic building near Downtown, Salem. The entire town is walkable, and this area is so very cute to check out. The host seemed s little nervous, but sat us down quickly with no wait. The weather was gorgeous so we dined on their patio. A homeless women did bother some of the patrons, and the host simply allowed her to walk in, use the restroom to proceed and ask for money from patrons. The service was friendly and their manager also welcomed us. The food was pretty good and tasty. Our entire party left satisfied with full bellies making it an excellent opportunity to walk off dinner. If you're visiting Salem, check out this friendly establishment.

Yelp
When googling the Salem area of tops eats, Rockafellas is definitely high on the list, and so I'm honestly very surprised by the 3 star rating on Yelp. We enjoyed our visit very much. We knew we were in for a wait visiting the first day of October, as well as there was a long line outside. There is a large patio for outdoor seating, which seems to be the most popular choice. The line moved fairly quickly, and being they had seating available inside, we took it. Air conditioning inside and such a fun spooky season setting. We love a good crab cake appetizer and was happy to see at least two on the plate! This crab cake does not disappoint.. if you are thinking of ordering it just so it. The sauce paired perfectly with the crab cake and was just delicious. Coctails were fun with witch feet inside and I believe was called The Salem Witch or very close to it. Our other dishes consisted of a burger and their mac and cheese. All the food was good. Service was a little slow as it did take some time to get the food but I would guess that's because of how busy it gets. Ambiance inside is casual, with good lighting, and definitely keeps up with the Halloween vibe. Bathrooms were a bit confusing as they do have them on the main floor, but they also have a sign for women pointing downstairs. Once I was downstairs, though, I was even more confused as there's a bathroom that you see right away with no door, and as you go a little further down, you can see that there's actual stalls. So trust me, keep going! I made the mistake of going where there was no door. Eeek lol. Overall fun environment and friendly staff. It's worth a stop.

Krystyn P.

Yelp
Okay, first off... they have a pet menu! Any restaurant that's so pet friendly that they have options for furry friends is a definite keeper in my book! On top of it, their mocktails have their own seasonal menu and are quite fantastic as well. We were still quite full from lunch, but had some tasty chili, clam chowder and truffle fries. Service was quite attentive in a very busy restaurant... and it looked like a pretty robust bar scene. All in all... I'll definitely bring my furry friends and family back the next time we're in Salem.

Jazmine R.

Yelp
I had a very delicious cup of hot cider here along with hearty mussels that just made my heart dance. The staff here is incredibly friendly and even accommodated our stroller. They made an off menu pasta for my 3 year old and he was quite satisfied. The high top tables are perfectly comfortable and the Halloween decor was eye catching!

Yelp
We stopped in after spending several hours walking around Salem. After a short wait, we were seated at an outside table. The staff was all friendly, though our waitress was struggling to keep up with all her tables...she had a very large section and we suspected a staffing shortage. Our food was excellent. I had the fish tacos, and they were wonderful. The fish was fried so that it was crispy on the outside but still flaky and moist on the inside. Yum! The rest of my group had the fish & chips and rosemary wings. Everyone was happy with their meal. Please note- if you sit outside, you may have to deal with several bees. We had two buzzing around us and landing on our drinks.

Melanie L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved this place. My favorite restaurant in Salem. We had the most amazing server when we were there, he even went out of his was for a couple of our more demanding requests. We loved all of the food. We ordered an appetizer (the crab cakes were the best part of the meal) and three different entrees to share so we could try different things (it was our first time there). There was nothing we ordered that we didn't like.

Liza C.

Yelp
Came here for my birthday dinner, after hearing a spooky story about it on one of our tours. I tried the lady in blue and Salem witch cocktails that were delicious. For my dinner I got fish and chips and my husband got a sausage pasta plate. The portions were generous and well priced. The staff came out to sing Happy Birthday and our waitress Allie was sweet and tentative.

Heather A.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended to me by my hair dresser . I was a little surprised it only had a 3 star rating because I had a great experience here. They have a beautiful outdoor patio area which I love , but we decided to sit inside. The service was a little slow. However, the Buffalo chicken Mac and cheese was to die for! It was HUGE, Next time I'll Definitely be splitting it . My husband got the burger and fries and it was just alright . I would come back here for lunch one day just for the Mac and cheese .

Donna P.

Yelp
I recommend... We'll all of their cocktails are yummy. So just close your eyes and point and you'll have the best drink! Martha, our server told us they all go down very easy and ummmmm YES! They do. Appetizers were great too. Cauliflower flatbread was gone in minutes. My husband didn't even get a piece in our party of 8. Order and make sure you get a piece. My favorite drink was the Satans Cider & my sister loved the Deathly hallows. My son and the others reordered the Butterbeer. Please please please go here and drink, eat, enjoy and leave a great review. We're clueless as to why they have 3 stars.

Yelp
Came here to Rockafellas for lunch after it was mentioned in a Salem hauntings & history tour I took with friends! We had no reservations (not sure if they take reservations or not) but we were sat almost instantly with a party of 6. The location is perfect with it being off Essex street and very central to all the Salem attractions. One great thing here were the prices. This was definitely a cheaper restaurant with most cocktails being around $12 and apps and meals were (usually) under $25. This restaurant is big! There was so much indoor and outdoor space. The bathroom is tiny and has only 2 stalls so there was a line forming for it. Our server was nice but it was definitely a tad slower service and some things were forgotten (a soup and our sides of sauces). The food was actually really good. I got the crab cakes which were one of the best crab cakes I've ever had. The sauce with it was spicy and gave it a bit of a kick. The clam chowder was good but I had more flavorful chowders at other places throughout my trip in Massachusetts. My friends got the crab cake BLT and really liked it. My other friend got their veggie burger and said it was flavorful! The cocktails were unique and I definitely recommend the Salem Witch cocktail. I'd be open to coming here again if ever in Salem, but I'd probably try another restaurant first. Overall, I had a good experience at Rockafellas!

Yelp
After walking around Salem where there's a lot of various restaurants, I finally decided to get in line at Rockafella's. The line was about 10 minutes just to get to the host stand. The line moved somewhat quickly. Once I was able to get to the host stand, I was seated within minutes. The interior is very interesting.... the building was remodeled into a restaurant with a strange layout. I was seated in the large bar area. Sue, Server, had greeted me took my drink order. By the time, she returned, I was ready to order the Fish & Chips. The menu offered a wide variety of options. Within a few minutes, the meal was dropped off. Sue had checked in with me couple of times. The fish was meaty and crunchy while the fries were well seasoned. There is a large patio, however, due to the cooler temperature and the occasional high winds, this area was pretty much closed. Overall, a great restaurant and service. I would recommend this restaurant. Don't let the long line discourage you, if there's a line

Laura F.

Yelp
Great spot for lunch. Sat at the bar, clean and well lit. Bartender Jack was awesome, helped me with beer recommendations and funny chit chat. We ended up spending a much longer time here after we made friends with the locals. The whole atmosphere was very welcoming and the food was delicious!

Brooklyn A.

Yelp
We loved this place that we went twice during our short trip to Salem. Great food & service, clean too with a cool (somewhat haunted) history. I appreciated that the first night we went, they were closing the kitchen in a half hour and they did Not rush us! I took a star away because the stall in the bathroom was the only thing that was uncomfortable. The door was SO CLOSE to the toilet that I could barely move and my knees were hitting the door, very uncomfortable, who designed that??

Ryan K.

Yelp
Great place for a fast lunch with lots of options. All 5 meals my party ordered were really good. The tartar sauce I got with my fish and chips was some of the best I've ever had. The meals were really loaded with fries such that we had a lot of left overs. There were some characters that appeared to be self medicating on the sidewalk next to the patio. The staff couldn't do anything about it because they were on public walkways but it didn't seem to be an uncommon sight around the Boston area.

Reeven S.

Yelp
We were waiting for our evening tour at Salem and this was one of the places that were still open. We were only here for drinks, but they also serve other dishes, mainly American food. The atmosphere does emulate a traditional American bar and lounge area. Some folks were seated by the bar stools and watched sports, while my friend and I sat at a table and chatted while we wait for our tour. Surprisingly this type of restaurant/bar was quite rare because many of the other businesses in the area were themed or closed really early. Their menu here has some cool, themed names but they pretty much look like any other cocktails. The server was friendly and quick with our orders. As I said, we only got drinks here. I forgot what my friends ordered, but they thought the drinks were just okay. On the other hand, mine was delicious. I ordered the Butterbeer which highly resembled the butterbeer you'd get at Universal Studios' Harry Potter world! My friends got a taste of my drink and they thought that it was good as well. So if you're cold and wanted to sit around and relax before your tour, I suggest visiting this place since it is at the center of all of the tourist areas of Salem.

Mickey B.

Yelp
Walked in on Easter Sunday for a quick bite. Was seated quickly, even without a reservation. Food came out quickly, was hot, and tasted great. Over all everything was above par and worked out great for a unexpected stop.

Danielle F.

Yelp
October in Salem is tricky, super packed. Finagled one seat at the bar and everyone sitting around us was so nice we found an extra bar stool and they made room for us. Bartender was very busy but attentive, drinks were delicious i had an apple cider mimosa with Carmel sauce around the rim and my daughter had a drink I can't remember it had ginger and was refreshing. The clam chowder was good and flatbread was also tasty. The food did take quite a while but again October in Salem....so expect that.

Kristen M.

Yelp
Rockafella doesn't take reservations for the month of October. Which makes sense because it is an absolute MOB SCENE !! That being said they made a very special exception to the rule on account of my boyfriend calling them the week before our engagement (october 1st). He spoke to a manager named Sue ! She was very helpful and I cannot express the gratitude I have for her accommodating our large part of 13 people for our special day. This was the best day of all time. This reservation was so beyond special/ an amazing surprise to follow my engagement on the hotel salem roof deck. My fiancés family and my family were all here awaiting our arrival when I thought we were just going in to use the bathroom lol ! This was the first time our families had met and rockafellas made it so fun and festive. The decor in the restaurant is so cool for Halloween time and the food everyone got was great. Our waitress was super friendly as well. Thank you rockafellas!!!

Brandi K.

Yelp
I'm so glad we were able to get in to this restaurant! Our first day in Salem, this restaurant was so busy the line never had an ending. We visited the 3rd Sunday of October and thankfully the time we arrived had a very short wait. We were seated fairly quickly in the very full restaurant. We started off with the mystery shot which I didn't particularly care for, but it was fun all the same. Then he had a beer and I had a glass of wine. The menu looked amazing and we had a really hard time deciding but we started with the calamari and eventually ordered the sausage pasta and the steak. The food came out perfectly cooked and great temperature with a nice presentation. Everything was super delicious, the service was great, and I love how the restaurant was decorated for Halloween as well as all the staff in their costumes!

Lena G.

Yelp
A long overdue review from our trip in the summer! We stopped here after being recommended by our Salem tour guide. This place has a haunted history, so we were very excited to check it out. To drink I got The Lady in Blue. It was refreshing and had a fruit punch-y vibe to it. This drink is named after the spirit that haunts this location (ask a server to see if they can share details about this!). I ordered the buffalo chicken pizza and it was super tasty! I felt the flavors all balanced each other out very well. My husband ordered the fish tacos and enjoyed those. He said it was just the right portion size. Overall, this was a decent place to get some food and drinks! If you're into places with haunted history, check this place out!

Ana R.

Yelp
Our very first stop in Salem, Massachusetts was at Rockafella's restaurant. During Halloween season no reservations are able to be made so we braved a 30 minute in line wait that was honestly not too bad. Our server and hostess were both lovely and we were even able to get lucky and be seated in the haunted vault room! My group was eager to eat seafood while in Massachusetts and 3/4 ordered the mussels and linguini. Overall the dish was a 3.5/5 for me. In the menu it's advertised to come with cherry tomatoes and in all of our dishes there was not 1 tomato in sight! The mussels and sauce were good, but the meal felt bland and really needed those cherry tomatoes to take it to the next level. We also enjoyed 2 bottles of wine at $32 each. Both a Cabernet and Malbec which we were all happily satisfied with. Finally we finished our meal off with a chocolate cake and after dinner drinks of espresso and baileys that were a hit with the whole group.

Georgette O.

Yelp
The vibe here was fantastic. We sat at the bar, and the service was great. I had the Salem Witch drink along with the crab cake BLT. It did not disappoint. My friends had the chicken wings, and they said they were season to perfection, and the fries were crispy got and delicious. If you're ever in Salem, Massachusetts, stop by Rockefeller's. You won't be disappointed.

Bonnie R.

Yelp
You can't beat the location of this restaurant in Salem. As a party of 1, I was seated immediately, though I'll admit it was about 8pm, so last dinner rush. The restaurant is well appointed and certainly a break from the cliche of downtown Salem. Service was good, though not great--my water was never refilled, I wasn't checked on after the food arrived and needed a fork. I had the margharita flatbread and Greek pasta. The flatbread was good but unusual. The pasta was delicious and far too much for one person. I also enjoyed a lavender lemon drop martini, which was delicious.

Pedro C.

Yelp
Rockafellas in Salem is a great spot to have dinner. We didn't have to wait to get a table (although the place was full of people) and the food was great tasting and fresh. We ordered the Rosemary wings, the beef and beet salad and the NY steak and everything was on point. Spices were great, vegetables are good and was very very well cooked.

Samantha W.

Yelp
Butterbeer is a must. Trust me on that. It's soooooooooo good. The pesto grilled cheese was delish too.

Courtney W.

Yelp
Delicious food and amazing drinks! A must if you're in Salem!! My friend and I came here during our trip and it did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and awesome decorations!!

Rich H.

Yelp
We ate lunch/appetizers here yesterday while in Salem, food was very good. Not overly impressed with the modern decorations. We had wings, spinach and artichoke in bread bowl and fries. Our beer wasn't that cold. Pretty pricey, but that's everywhere now.

Andrew F.

Yelp
Ate here for our last night in Salem. It did not disappoint. I got truffle fries for an appetizer . They were garlicky and delicious I also ordered a drink. The drinks are so good I ended up getting 3. The braised beef was delicious and perfectly tender. Our waiter was great and very attentive. Always making sure we had everything we needed. My mom got the clam chowder for an appetizer and said it was the best clam chowder she had the whole trip( we spent a week on Boston beforehand). You will definitely enjoy the food, I know I did.

Beverly F.

Yelp
Not the greatest. The place looked and smelled amazing so I had high hopes but the food was just not it. I ordered the steak tips which were burnt to a crisp and nothing but fat. My sister order truffle fries which were amazing but the rest of the food was mediocre at best. I would suggest just getting the truffle fries and a drink, eat your dinner somewhere else.

Amanda B.

Yelp
I have eaten here twice and both times it was very nice. The humus starter was very tasty as well as my margarita flat bread. The crust was thin like a cracker and a little crunchy on the outside but it loved it like that. All of my friends loved their food too. Our server was very accommodating to the fact that we needed 5 different checks for each of us. She was also very good at answering our questions about the food. The restaurant wasn't too loud even though it was a pretty busy day. I get cold easily, so the temperature it was at inside was a little chilly for me. Luckily it was hot outside so I just stepped out and was able to comeback in without being questioned by the host staff outside. I've also ordered take out on other occasions and it was quite easy--just a phone call and then picking it up by the bar.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
The guy at the bar was nice. That's all to give to this place. Drinks are absolutely horrendous. Food took a very long time on a non busy night. And it was certainly sub par food. I think they survive due to the location and because it's a pretty place. Nothing else to make it remarkable. Too expensive for a couple of drinks and an appetizer. Absolutely will not come back here.

Cori B.

Yelp
Had pretty long wait to be seated but I'm glad we stuck it out. We got to sit right outside on the side patio... great seats to see what was going on in the street. The waitress was awesome very friendly and attentive. We started with the hummus plate. IT WAS AMAZING. Truly delicious even my kids ate it!! The mussels and linguine was delicious. Those were the best mussels I've ever had. Very tender and delicious, not chewy at all. My kids had the fish and fries and the chicken tenders and fries. I tried both and it was also very good. The Salem witch was good... but to much pineapple for me, but that's ok. If I were in the area again I would definitely make my way to Salem to try that again.

Jackie T.

Yelp
We came on a Monday night, and there was hardly any wait. Foods and drinks were good. We shared Crab cake as appetizers , Steak tips as an entree, 2 beers and a cocktail. Bill: $82 Wait time: There is a wait (15 to 30 mins) in the weekend especially if you comes around this time of October Food quality: good. I don't see anything special about the menu items Service: quick and friendly Location: right in the center of town

Conrad J.

Yelp
This is our go to when we come to Salem in Massachusetts. The food is consistently excellent, with the bar redone and seating outside to allow for your furry friends.

Taylor R.

Yelp
My friend and I sat at the bar for drinks and some food. This was going to be our biggest meal of the day so we were excited. Very cool atmosphere. We got the "Nightmare on Bourbon Street" and the "Butterbeer" drinks, they were both pretty good. The Butterbeer was extremely sweet which was to be expected, just something to note! We shared the calamari which was delicious and then the steak tips with mashed potato's and fries. The steak tips were awful :( we had to chew them up extensively to even get them down. Do not recommend them at all. I would like to come back and try other things!

Kelsey C.

Yelp
We came here on Halloween day and you need to expect you will have to wait in line because there is only one place I found in the entire town that does reservations. For the length of the line we were very surprised we only waited 30 minutes. We were seated outside and it was so fun to be able to see everyone walking by in their costumes. My friend and I ordered crab cakes, calamari, and two cups of chowda. Everything came out in and timely manner and was delicious. We finished our meals by enjoying some Octoberfest drafts. The inside was decorated very nicely for Halloween and the restrooms were clean

Marianne W.

Yelp
Delicious burgers and wings! We stopped in after a ghost tour and had the best server, Alli. She was adorable and patient as we asked which seemed like a million questions! She was attentive and helpful. She even talked with us about the local legend of the blue lady and showed us pictures. The best part of our day in Salem!! 5 for the services and food!! Alli was a great finish to our day!

Mike T.

Yelp
Exploring Salem for the weekend and stumbled upon Rockafellas! Ambiance: Modern and stylish bar great for tourists and people looking to hang for a night out. Right in the heart of Salem's tourist attractions. Paid parking on the street and in some public lots. Not too busy when I arrived on a Saturday night in January (not peak tourist season...) but got surprisingly busy as the night went on! Price: Pricey, but it is a popular late night spot in a tourist area and food prices have been going up. Quality was great, but quantity for the price I thought was a bit... underwhelming. Ordered: Hummus Plate, Boneless Chicken Tenders, and a Cookie Skillet. Pros: The apps tasted great and the beer came in nice drinking glasses. Everything came out in a timely manner and our waiters were very helpful and attentive. Also a nice few local craft beer selections! Cons: The quantity for the price. I've had hummus plates in popular bars with similar ambiance and they were massive with different dips, pitas, and veggies. The food tasted fine otherwise. Had a similar feeling for the chicken fingers, which reminded me of the price and quantity I would pay at a sports arena. Overall: Paid for the vibes, and would definitely be back with more people for a night out! If I was looking for an affordable and quality dinner option, this might be towards the end of my list, but that's to be decided after I make some comparisons elsewhere.

Yelp
Came here to eat yesterday afternoon for lunch. Had about a 15 minute wait. The restaurant was very busy but our order was taken pretty quickly by the friendly waitress. The mediterranean bowl was great, flat bread wasn't. The flatbread had no crunch to it and seemed a bit stale. There was also no taste of fig jam. The peanut butter pie was pretty good too- tasted just like a Reese's but better. Would have given 4 stars, but the bathroom inside of the restaurant was completely disgusting and needed a serious cleaning.

Yelp
Enjoyable spooky dining experience. The food is very creative aesthetically but not so much flavorly (just made up this word for the rhythm). Prices were on the upper side, so come in with a whole lot of appetite and a hefty wallet. Drinks were O.K. I enjoyed the spooky halloween atmosphere, the decorations, and the great service. It'd make more sense to come here if you know the background spooky stories behind this business. I dont think its a 5 star food experience but it makes up drastically in other factors. Overall 4.5 Food 3 Atmosphere 5 Service 5
