Rockefeller - Manhattan Beach

This is a busy beach area restaurant. Friday and Saturday nights are trendy crowds. I made reservations and was seated immediately. Ashleigh B was our server and she was attentive. She checked to see if we needed anything and how our meal. She also suggested the news cocktail for st. Patrick’s Day, the toasted grasshopper martini 🍸. This is a minty drink. I ordered the honey glaze salmon with rice and broccoli. My salmon and rice were tasty but the broccoli lacked flavor. The Cesar salad with grilled chicken was tasty. This restaurant has large patio with heaters and TV’s. We came for happy hour and to watch March Madness. Parking on Fridays and Saturdays can be a challenge. All of the parking is meter parking. It gets crowded fast. Here’s a tip…. Sunday’s parking is free.

This place has the best damn French fries I've ever had. They're on the skinnier side , BUT SO GOOD. Service is prompt and reliable. Their Tuesday night special (buy a beer get a burger for $2) is great but unfortunately no veggie options. Hopefully soon!

The location was great, Manhattan Beach. I didn't care for string beans they were sweeten.

We love this restaurant! One of our favorite places to go when we have a burger craving. The burger of the month was delicious and juicy with caramelized onions and mushrooms. The sweet potato fries are perfectly crispy.

More Yuppy than Yummy. I would like to start with our server/manager was pleasant and friendly. Although I felt the restaurant seemed short staffed. Like there should have been another server on the floor. We had our dog with us and that was fine. We sat outside. The atmosphere was typical Manhattan Beach. Rustic with fancy dashes here and there. Typical metal wood combo seen all along the beach front. The food...well this is where the restaurant fell short. We had the guacamole and chips as our appetizer. It was ok. The guac could have used a little more salt and a tad less lime. I had the cheese steak, my wife the chicken wrap. In addition, we ordered the truffle parmesan fries and spicy green beans. The cheese steak was fairly disappointing. Too little steak, or possibly too chunky. Leaving lots of bread, sauce and not much meat. The steak itself was tough and practically impossible to bite though. The flavor was lacking overall. I ended up having to salt and add left over guac to it to try to pick up the taste profile. Ultimately I had eaten the few pieces of steak out of it and basically left half a sub bun empty on my plate. Possibly it would have been more pleasing had the steak been shredded. Allowing for better coverage and not such a tough bite. The Truffle Parm fries were ok. Although Truffle Parm fries seem to be a south Cal staple. These were a pale comparison to those at HopDoddy's and the like. They seem to be shy of truffle oil. Making them just Parm fries. Not so exciting. Spicy green beans were the star of the show. Cooked perfectly with just enough heat to experience it, yet enjoy it. If you go here. You really need to try these. To finish up we ordered the bread pudding. It was a Frankenstein example at best of what bread pudding could be. So in terms of the worst item, this beat out the steak sandwich hands down. Over baked, I presume in the reheating process. The entire bottom blackened. Leaving that not so pleasant after taste throughout the pudding. Then in some weird Twilight Zone episode they added a very tart berry sauce with Carmel. Which neither looked or tasted very good. Avoid this at all costs. Unless you're eating with someone you don't like. Then recommend it to them. With the tip it ran about $110 bucks for two people. So if you have no appreciation of money or enjoy average food at Manhattan Beach prices. Then go here. Otherwise you have lots of choices within walking distance that may prove more fulfilling.

The food was good but the waiter was not ! I would not come back to this place just because of him ! It was for my birthday we were 16 and he was really rude and pushing us They were really slow for the service of mimosas and food and he counted the mimosas for 1 hour from when we took the order instead of when we received the drinks I am very disappointed I love brunch usually but we felt the need to leave instead of staying to have more drinks The waiter with the mimosas (the other one) was really good and nice compare to the one who was in charge of us I would not recommend this restaurant for brunch unfortunately

Service was A1 the waitress was super nice and attentive. The menu isn't overwhelming but hard to make choices, cause the descriptions make everything sounds tasty af. There's only beer here FYI but they have some incredibly strong ones if you tryna get lit. Food came out fast and everything was good and servings was solid. Overall vibe was very chill would definitely go back.
