My wife and I met up with friends there on July 26, 2025 weekend and had a blast. Rockin' Star is a short drive from the historic town of Brenham, TX in a true, country environment. We loved our nicely decorated lodging with everything you could need and more. The pool with waterfall made for a great Saturday afternoon. There's a fresh water pool with fish not far from the swimming with a lounging deck and surrounded by hundreds of rose bushes! We had a chance to see the wedding venue and were very impressed with the massive kitchen. We really enjoyed the horse back trail ride and interacting with all of the other animals including goats, pot belly pigs, quail and chickens. There's something for everyone, the staff are attentive and a great place to get away from it all and relax! We'll be back!

Our family (DeMille) had a wonderful time, our original cottage had some maintenance issues, so we got moved to a smaller cottage, ( patio cottage) we are very simple and did not mind, even though we had 3 young adults raging in age 18-23, and two adults my husband and me. Our cottage had the perfect sleeping accommodation with two twin beds, one king size bed and a very comfy sofa. Kitchen has a sink, a mini fridge a microwave and a small cook top that you plug in. I was able to cook breakfast and lunch on the cook top with no problem, and we used one of the meny grills that are outdoors to cook some burgers for dinner. There is a lot of pets in the area, 4 dogs that we encounter, all very friendly, our favorite was lady, she was the sweetest, and a few cats that my daughter spend hours taking pictures of. Lol I got a horse ride, and that was my favorite part of our stay, I rode on Tater tot- a 20 year old female horse who had been rescued 5 years ago. Her story was very heartbreaking but with a happy ending. She was perfect for me, gentle as can be, calm and very easy to handle, I was glad, because the last time I rode a horse I was living in Minnesota and I was 13 years old. When you ride, you get a very important crash corse on how to guide your horse, you get to brush them, and saddle them, and I loved every step. Overall we 100% recommend Rockin Star Ranch, our host was so friendly and we can tell he loves to please his guest, very attentive and would answer our text within 5 minutes. We wanted a quiet weekend get away, and we got it. We will be back for sure.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about this incredible property! From the moment I arrived, it felt like a hidden gem tucked away in nature’s beauty. The grounds are absolutely stunning—pictures don’t do it justice. This would be the perfect venue for a wedding; with lots of room for guests. The views are breathtaking, the atmosphere is peaceful and romantic, and there’s plenty of space for guests to relax and enjoy. One of the absolute highlights of my stay was the horseback riding. The horses were so well cared for and easy to ride, and the trails were peaceful and scenic—truly an unforgettable experience. Be sure to ask for Julie as your trail guide! She was kind, knowledgeable, and made the whole ride feel so fun and relaxed. And bonus—she has an adorable dog who sometimes comes along for the ride, adding even more charm to the experience. I’m already looking forward to coming back—especially to try the skeet shooting next time! With so much to do and such a warm, welcoming vibe, this place is a must-stay. Five stars all the way!

We had the most amazing experience at Darell’s beautiful ranch! He went above and beyond, taking extra time to show us around and make us feel completely welcome. We got to saddle our own horses, feed the cows, and even cuddle baby deer — truly a once-in-a-lifetime chance. As someone who has been on many trail rides, I can say this was far beyond anything I could have hoped for and unlike anything I’ve experienced before. My daughter said it was the most incredible experience we’ve ever had. Thank you, Darell, for sharing your slice of heaven with us.

We had an incredible stay at Rockin Star Ranch! Our host, Darryl, was exceptional—super responsive and even upgraded our rooms to better accommodate our little ones. The working farm was a dream for our girls, who loved feeding baby deer, riding ATVs to herd cows, and seeing newborn goats and calves up close. Darryl deserves all the kudos for making our family trip unforgettable! Bonus: this place is an amazing wedding venue for anyone looking to tie the knot. Highly recommend!

We booked the ranch for our wedding (April 5, 2025) The moment I saw it, I fell in love with the venue and the scenery. We had access to all of the cabins for the weekend, and we’re able to have our wedding party and some family stay on site with us. The hall is absolutely stunning! and the bridal sweet is everything a bride could ask for. There are several perfect spots for outdoor ceremonies, but we chose under the beautiful pergola, that has a flagstone walkway up to it. Darrell and his crew made sure we were perfectly accommodated, and honestly made us feel more like family. We thought we were going to have to move the ceremony inside due to rain, but they waited till the last moment, and when the rain quit about an hour before go time. They quickly set up chairs and made it possible for me to have the beautiful outdoor ceremony I dreamt of. We were able to use all of their tables, chairs, and tablecloths as well as any other decor they had was available for us to use. The huge commercial grade kitchen was great too, as it gave our caterer plenty of space, and gave me the perfect place to store and assemble my own wedding cakes. The whole weekend was absolutely perfect, and I would not have changed one thing. I would definitely recommend booking Rockin Star Ranch for your wedding or even your next big event. It’s more than worth every penny.

Stopped here on a girls trip. The staff was very friendly and cautious of our varying horseback riding experience - carefully selecting our horses and saddles for what would suit each of us best. He walked us through operating a horse and trained us individually before leaving the stables. Tons of animals on the property! All super sweet and safe. We were lucky enough to stop by during breakfast so we got to help feed the longhorns and cows. Feeding the cows by hand was an incredible moment I’ll never forget. During our riding session we got a tour of the 100+ acre farm, seeing all of the animals, construction projects, and beautiful grounds. I love this place so much. It’s so peaceful, would absolutely come back again.

While watching my son’s Baseball team this week, we got to stay at one of the most unique, relaxing, fun places we’ve ever been to! Our kids had a blast waking up to sweet dogs and cats on our front porch, feeding a baby deer, playing with a porcupine and lizards, swimming, fishing, could have gone horseback riding, and saw more stars than I’ve ever seen in my life! The grounds are well taken care of and you can tell they take pride in what they do. The cabins have everything, so comfortable and so close to town. I’m a city girl, but I loved this time in the country!!! Anything we needed, I got an immediate response. We’re already talking about going back. They also have a large event center and do weddings, which I think would be amazing with all their beautiful roses everywhere and can house a very large group. If you need a quick getaway, I highly recommend Rockin Star Ranch!! Thanks again for a wonderful time!!
