"This Taiwanese gem is hidden away on a residential block in Wallingford. It’s regularly packed with University of Washington international student snacking on stinky tofu and oyster pancakes as well as affordable staples like lu rou fan (Taiwanese braised pork over rice)" - Matthew Lombardi, Jade Yamazaki Stewart

There’s a stinky smell in the restaurant as soon as we walked in - not a pleasant one. The stinky tofu is an acquired taste. The salt and pepper chicken are too heavily breaded. The sautéed cabbage tasted plain - didn’t have enough salt in it.

Good authentic food at very reasonable prices in a cozy mom-and-pop-feeling shop. Pictured are the Braised Lion's Head and a Szechuan spicy fish fillet. I've also enjoyed classics like their wonton and honey walnut shrimp before.

Food/Taste/Flavor: 2/5 - I wanted to love this place since it's hard to find Taiwanese vermicelli with oysters but the food was quite disappointing. Taiwanese Chow Mein was really thick noodles that were short so it felt like end of the batch and they just gathered all the leftover noodle pieces and threw it in a box. We had a few pieces of something crunchy like eggshells and the noodles were so oily that we couldn't eat the last quarter of the box Taiwanese Vermicelli with Oysters was served very hot! The oysters were sad since I was eating more potato flour or corn starch than oysters that I couldn't even taste it anymore. The noodles were good but the soup very one dimensional Mongolian Beef was decent with tender beef but too sweet in combination with the other dishes Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go Service: 3/5 - called to place an order, server was quick and responsive on the phone. When I arrived to pick up the food, there was a couple that seemed to be friends with the server. The server was cleaning up the restaurant and didn't acknowledge me until her friend said something to her in Chinese. Had slight communication issues requesting utensils but we did get them eventually Value for price: 1/5 - not worth the price for the poor quality of food. Maybe it would have been better not so close to closing time but I wished they would have said the kitchen was closed rather than serve poor quality food

Genuinely, I’m the person who wouldn’t care about the service and the atmosphere so much as long as the food is good. But the fact that the service was so bad that made me wouldn’t wanna come to this place again. When we arrived, the server was telling us that they don’t take dine in pretty unfriendly. First of all, if you advertise the opening hours like you guys do on the google map, then you should just do like that, or you could simply say so. Second, close to the checkout process, the POS machine stopped working and so did the credit card machine. It took like forever to complete everything. Third, what kind of restaurant wouldn’t provide spoon or fork for customers as utensils? Having the only option as chopsticks is extremely unfriendly and not disappointing. The food was above mediocre, but definitely not worth the suffering.

Ordered braised pork ball (also called braised lion’s head) and minced pork rice with egg for to go. Braised lion’s head is delicious 😋 and definitely worth a try, especially you like sweet-tasting dishes like Shanghai cuisine and Hangbang cuisine. The sauce thickening for the lion’s head meatballs isn’t very good but the meatballs themselves are tasty. Minced pork rice is bad.😔Small portion with little minced pork but cost almost $10, not authentic Taiwanese flavor. Not recommended.🙃

Friendly staff. Almost like a mom & pop hole-in-the-wall feel. Large menu with a good variety of Taiwanese dishes. Highly recommend the Home Made Hand Shaved Noodles (#37).

If you missed Taiwan snacks & hotpots, this is the right place to come. All the authentic snacks brings me memories of all the Taiwan trips I went. I like the sour cabbage hotpot a lot, I can finish 2 bowls of rice with it.

Best Sichuan Beef Hot Pot in town!! The soup is super flavorful. The boss lady told me instead of buying the soup base, they created their own. I like all the ingredients in it as well! I can actually eat a big one by myself—very satisfying…
