Rockit's Famous Pizza

Used to be my favorite place to hang around with friends. But the guy behind the counter is the rudest guy. He accused us of stealing the soda in a water cup even though his own machine was malfunctioning. Such a terrible experience. Never going back again. We loved the lady host who works there sometimes but the guy is just terrible. Such a shame. Good food but no sense of how to talk to customers.

Been going here for years!! Excellent pizza!! 3$ a slice. Totally a win , also open till 3am as proper place should be on the weekend. Does get a bit crowned , by all kinds of people on the late nights. A worthy experience if your out on a pub crawl or just out for a walk.

Terrible Experience. The guy behind the counter was extremely rude. He doesn’t know how to talk to customers. We simply asked for a water cup. The machine malfunctioned and gave us soda. Just because of this misunderstanding he accused us of stealing and started shouting at us. No matter how many times we tried to explain it to him that his machine is malfunctioning he wasn’t ready to listen to us. This used to be one of my go to places. Not anymore.

We ordered a whole pizza and it was freshly made. .excellent pizza.. my daughter who normally doesn't like pizza, ate 3 slices.. but here is ultimate kicker.. it is the secret hot sauce he has .. all I can say is, only try it if you are non-anglo.. this thing will brings tears to your eyes.. but it has an amazing taste. it is korean gochujang sauce.. will surely be back ..

So mid! I totally wish we’d passed by instead of going in. Cold pizza by the slice served out of a glass box no bigger than one of those fancy glass popcorn machines. No special requests, don’t make an entire pizza…at least the very very unfriendly employee acted like all we could get was what was left in the cold box :/ Vibe is cool, guess it wouldn’t be bad if we were drunk AF and hungry for some late night pizza. If you’re wanting some actual FOOD and pizzas you can select what you want, pass on this place. If you’re drunk and can stumble in here, it’s the perfect spot for you 😂 there were plenty of old drunk people when we were there 🤦🏼‍♀️😂

The pizza and service here were both great! I love New York style pizza and it definitely didn't disappoint. They are also open late, which is great if you are hungry late at night.

A must have after exiting a long night at any of the Bars available on the street. Open tills 2pm, so the only place to eat but great slice to eat, At that hour, you gotta be in queue

Conveniently located in downtown Bloomington close to bars (within stumbling distance lol) and open late! They deliver too but there is something special about the vibe of listening to music and waiting in line for that satisfying slice then dumping Parmesan cheese or garlic powder on top to get that perfect first bite. Great college memories were made here. If you are a student of Indiana university or only in town for little 5, definitely stop in for a slice!

Love love love this pizza place! I first came here because I wanted pizza and it was one of the only places that was still open. The location is kinda sketchy at night, but the pizza is amazing. They have a lot of good toppings, they are NOT skimpy on the toppings, and prices are very reasonable. I will come here for pizza every time I'm in town. I would have taken pictures, but I was so hungry and it was so delicious I forgot. And that's a big deal!

Dave was wrong, but the pizza does look different in the video so I'm willing to give another chance. I thought the church sent oplatki early

Not what it used to be ... crust was dried out ... sauce was bland and there was very little on the pizza to begin with ... service was meh. Breadsticks half the size they used to be and no sesame seeds? Talk about running a place into the ground.

Pizza tastes like cardboard, but it is $3 a slice and is one of the few places open late. I'd consider it a wash!

Best pizza in all of Bloomington, most amazing New York style, better than anyone else in town! Also family owned with a ton of history, been here forever, they are a well deserved staple!

Horrible service this Pablo who works there has the worst attitude ever, he needs to get it right I'm writing this review today at 8:25 pm august 10th that this dude got no skills for customer service at all.. to much gas in his ass for no reason.

Good pizza pie! The food is not just good but fantastic! The environment is visually appealing and really adds to the experience. I've been to Rockit's several times and been blown away every single time. I highly encourage everyone to eat here!

Simple, cheap, tasty--how had I never been here, or even heard of this place, until last weekend? Rockit's is a (very) small pizza joint on Walnut, near the Bluebird, Brothers, Sports, and other bars and restaurants (right across from Btown Diner!). We stopped in in desperate need of something greasy after a night out at Sports, and this could not have hit the spot more. Food in Bloomington is generally on the more expensive end, so I was delighted to find pizza-by-the-slice for a mere $2.75. What a deal. Bring cash or buy together, though, because they have a credit card minimum. It might have just been the state of mild inebriation I was in when I ate this pizza, or the distracting fact that the place was absolutely PACKED with people and super loud and chaotic, but honestly this was way better than pizza from a lot of the famous, more expensive places in Bloomington. Dare I say that the sauce and crust of this pizza made it better than either Pizza X or (I know this is heresy) Mother Bear's? You'll just have to get a couple drinks in you and go find out yourself, I suppose...

If you haven't waited in line for a 3 dollar slice of Rockits you did college wrong. Great memories give this place a 5 star for myself.

I've never been here sober. That being said... This is the quintessential drunk Bloomington food stop. When it's 3 a.m.--and you're not quite ready to stumble home--soak up some of that alcohol at Rockit's. Great place to go to the bathroom, too. There are only about 5 booths, so make friends with other drunken merrymakers if need be. The fun ends at 3:30 a.m. when Rockit's closes. Pizza by the slice is ready immediately. It costs around $3. The crust is thin but gets thicker at the end of the slice. If your hunger gets ahead of your brain and wallet-- and you order an entire pizza--the wait will be longer. We ordered breadsticks once and waited a solid 15 minutes. They were not as thick and dense as I like my breadsticks to be. Instead, they were little skinny minnies with seeds baked on top. The cheese dip was on point though. The interior is grungy rad. Alongside the framed photos of bands, there are sharpie messages all over the teal and red walls. I ordered my pizza at around 12:40am. Didn't receive it until 3:30am. No apology, no explanation. The pizza was just ok (there are definitely better options in Bloomington) I wouldn't recommend Rockit's.

I was there Tuesday night at 9pm, took home a delicious thin crust pie at 9:30, so good I could have easily eaten another.

For gross oily pizza when yore drunk, this place is perfect. I typically have a stomachache the next day as I don't usually eat this much grease. I used to love getting 1 slice when I was just vegetarian. Pre-made slices at 3am....yum. but that was years ago. I have to give them mad props for consistently offering vegan options. There are those days I need a pepperoni pizza....and rockits is my only vegan option.

The pizza is actually pretty good for Bloomington. That being said, the workers are complete scumbags and will oftentimes make up prices on the spot. They take advantage of drunk college students and request "generous tips" in order to receive your pizza in a timely manner. Ordering food here is a very unique experience, and it genuinely feels like bartering in a foreign country. The za is quite delicious though, hence the 3/5 star review.

Great for a slice or two. Very fast for what it is. Some of my favorite pizza in town and it's almost up to east coast spec.

Listen, I ain't even gonna lie to yawl. I ain't even no pizza person like that. I know the American school system forces your brain and conditions you to love pizza but you see I rose about that. I'm on a higher plane of thinking, like I know why 42 is the answer to everything but I can't give that away. But I digress, we talking about pizza. So yeah, this spot is a dive spot by all the definitions. Just walk in and you know the owner ain't no hipster yokel. Nah this man been doing this pizza stuff and he got a lil skills. But yeah this a nice lil NY style pie in the midwest and it's cool. I do wish the pepperoni was lil more robust, see I need it with a lil more spice to life and I ain't getting that cuh. But coming out the bar 2am off two pulls of sour and 4 shots of henny you can't beat it. It's just pizza cuh hard to mess up and they didn't. Salute Gawd

I've been to Lou Malnatis in Chicago. I've been to John's on Bleaker in NYC. I've grown up eating the best pizza. Yet, Rockit's has quite literally... the BEST pizza. Mariana will give you the most incredible slice! Anytime!!

This place can kick rocks. I order a traditional stromboli, and they send me garlic bread with some "pizza" toppings. On top of that they told me 25 min delivery, and it was 45 in reality. I've never been so disappointed in a pizza place. It's a pretty simple job. I used to do it. This place has been, hands down, the worst pizza delivery experience I have ever had.

Incredible pizza, cannot recommend highly enough. We've ordered from Rockit's multiple times and it never fails to impress. Locally owned, quick delivery, open late, and delicious food, what's not to like? Great people, great food!

Don't count this place out for a good takeout or delivery pizza, but the best way to do it is to just stumble in after a show or several questionable decisions at Brothers. This Bloomington institution makes a delicious, greasy pizza reminiscent of the New York dollar slice, best enjoyed in a boozy haze.

Best. slice pizza (in Indiana). ever. They have a pretty vegan cheese thing there, too. [VeganZ for lunch!] It's great. It's local. To be frank - Mother Bear's is my favorite restaurant in town, but Rockit's is my favorite pizza. Fluckin' awesome. Side note: The pizza boxes are very sturdy and hold up well when used as weapons.

$2 a slice, $5 for an 8" cheese. That's my kind of pricing. Pizzas took about 10 minutes on a Friday night. Zoom. And Rockit's keeps a giant bucket of water in the lobby to remind drunks they need to hydrate. Check out the wall graffiti for such gems as "CLITORANUS" and buffalo drawings.

Rockit's falls into two categories: Drunk - best pizza ever Sober the next morning after you purchased a whole pizza - worst pizza of your life. Do NOT eat the leftovers. Caution: When drunk the parmesan cheese may look like the garlic powder. You've been warned.

The veggie pizza slices are manna from Heaven after a long night at The Vid or Bluebird. I like that every flavor of pizza is the same price. Rockit's is my kind of dive.

There is a certain charm to this place despite the undeniable rattiness. First, let me say that the food is less than stellar. I'm sure this is counterbalanced by the fact that places is open until 3 am but my pepperoni pizza was extremely greasy and edging towards rancid. . You can't do much better on a budget. On the other hand my friend, who was several beers ahead of me, really enjoyed his vegetarian pizza. So maybe it just matters at what point you are in the night? There is nothing fancy going on here with the food. The pizza is New York Style with the floppy crust and is really cheap ($2.50). The walls are decorated with broken drumheads, symbols, and guitars. There are also a number of signed promotional picks from bands. Given the heavy metal vibe of the place I was definitely surprised to see one signed by LL Cool J to Rockits. In sum, for a quick and dirty meal late at night, Rockit's is probably the place to be, but earlier in the evening you've got better options.

Hands down: Best. Drunk. Pizza. Ever. Get some great (and cheap!) pizza, grab a booth, and make sure you put your name on the wall. Added Bonus: Free water and tons of red pepper flakes

Never had anything bad here.....breadsticks are delicious and so is just the plain pepperoni pizza. The breadsticks will make you crave them!

If it wasn't for their hours of operation and their convient location, this pizza place wouldn't last. As you can see by every other reviews, it's drunk food that hits the spot and serves it's purpose as something to line your stomach with copious amounts a grease. Thin crust New York style pizza with little flavor. Extremely limited seating, 3-4 booths, but awesome rock memorabilia on the walls that really bring life to the decor.

Tonight, we placed an order, waited two hours, still no pizza. We called the restaurant several times, no answer at all. Now it is 12:30 AM, no pizza, no phone call, no nothing. Also, our card has already been charged (granted that is probably btown menus's doing). Total bummer. In the past, when Rockit's does arrive, the quality is extremely inconsistent. it is decent sometimes, but it has also been very doughy and undercooked before, on more than one occasion. Also, ten pepperonis on a large pizza does not constitute 'extra pepperoni.' So, basically, probably just about the most unreliable business around. I will definitely not be patronizing them again any time in the foreseeable future. Man, Bloomington really needs a decent New York style pizza spot!!

Pizza was ok but it was cold. The place is poorly maintained which raises questions of what the kitchen is like. The style would be cool if not for all the dust and sipder web all over the walls. Coke tasty bad also.

Ordered delivery at 9 PM on Friday. Didn't get pizza until close to 11 PM. Pizza was cold as were the bread sticks. Stick to Avers or Mother Bears...they are much less disappointing.

I ordered a pizza delivery. They never delivered it. They said they "tried" by calling me and knocking on my door. They never called me and never knocked on my door. Last time I tried to order a pizza from this place was August 2015. They cancelled my order after it was placed because they were "closing." Horrible service and SCAMMERS!

The pizza is worse than even the chain pizza places. Unless you're drunk, it's barely edible. I only gave them another chance because they were the only place open. But, they called me back before their closing time to tell me they were closing early and wouldn't deliver my order. Never again.

This place is the definition of a "hole in the wall" yes it can be smelly and crowdy from the late night crowd but I think that's what makes it special! Surprisingly, the quality of the pizza is really good! Almost like a NYC Pie ! Big plus for the late hours, which is important in a small town like Bloomington.

So here I am at 4:40 am April 11. My friend and I ordered breadsticks and garlic cheese bread at fucking 3:22 am. The estimated arrival time was 4:02, which alone is ridiculous. Yet here I am sitting here with no food nearly an hour and a half later. I haven't eaten anything all day. All I wanted was a god damn late night meal. My friend received order confirmation and everything before closing time. This is ridiculous. I expect a full refund and free food of my choice for a future order. After that, I am never ordering Rockit's Pizza again. I don't give my services to poorly run establishments. Bye.

We ordered a large sausage/pepperoni pizza for delivery. That was a mistake. After waiting almost TWO HOURS and having two phonecalls with some very clueless employees, I cancelled my order. I was assured my credit card would not be charged, but it has been. $20 spent on a long wait for absolutely nothing. It was a simple order and we were only 4 blocks away... Had I known I would have just walked... but... really guys?

Rockits rocks. Their veggie pizza is the best...tomato, green pepper, and onion, along with amazing crust. It's priced well, too...and if the person working the line likes you at the moment, they might cut you a deal. :)

A necessary pit stop after a crazy night at sports. Very tasty! You absolutely need a slice or two on the walk home after a night at the bars.
