Although the store has an eclectic (if limited) selection, the customer service is disappointing. I had received a nice Spanish red, purchased and Rocks and Acid, as a housewarming gift. When I went to open it, the cork crumbled. In my 40+ years of wine drinking, a crumbled cork has almost invariably meant the wine is compromised. That's especially true of reds. In the few instances in the past when it was worth my time to return a compromised bottle, the store has apologized and replaced it. Not Rocks and Acid, despite the fact I carried the evidence -- the remains of the crumbled cork -- with me. In my view, inexcusable for a wine boutique.

8/2023 this place has become a local favorite. Perfect place to stop in for a glass of wine & let that summer breeze cool us down. Staff is always helpful. I chose a Rosé this time. It quickly became a favorite. Jan/Feb 2023 Stopped by to check out this new wine store in Southern Village Market Street. Staff was helpful and explained how the wines are displayed currently - that will be changing in January - & what type of wineries they’ve partnered with. They also have a good selection for charcuterie boards. Good vibe.

Lovely neighborhood wine shop in southern village! All of the employees are so helpful and knowledgeable. I haven’t had a bad wine from here - they always have something special/interesting to choose from. I also love the ice bags they’ll put the wine in if you go to share a bottle with friends, so much so I bought one for home. It is always chilly inside (for the wine!) so bring a jacket if you plan to stay inside. Absolutely lovely to sit outside on their patio during spring/summer/fall!

We recently stopped in for a glass of wine and ended up staying for a blind tasting class led by the owner, Paula. Overall, a great experience. The staff was approachable, fun, and knowledgeable. We went home knowing a little bit more about wine and 2 bottles that we know we will enjoy :).

Love the focus of Rocks ‘n Acid: as often as possible, female vintners and great wine. The people working here are deeply knowledgeable and personable.

Yelp
This is fantastic wine shop. (I used to work in the wine business so I know just a little about it.) Most stores/restaurants buy from just a few distributors - I think she said they use 27. Thus their selection in this area is unparalleled. After visiting the Jura region in France in 2013, I've been looking all over this state for wines from that region and have never found one - and I check in literally every shop I visit. I've found two at this store so far. (I recommend them, it's like an unfortified Sherry.) They do nice flights and wines by the glass - they also have a really great selection of rose's and orange wines, which I've grown really fond of. I haven't done any of their "classes" or "events" because I'm not a joiner, but if you like that thing then there you go. I think bottle prices start in the low $20s.

Yelp
Why didn't this place open while we still lived there?!?! It is so cool! It's beautifully designed and has outdoor seating. The employees were so helpful and personable. We were in town for two days and went both days!
