My husband and I have traveled extensively and have had the opportunity to ring in the New Year in several cities around the world. Because of that, we don’t often feel compelled to write reviews—but after the wonderful experience we had at Rocks on the Roof, we felt it was absolutely worth sharing.
After doing some research to find the perfect place to welcome the New Year—with stellar city views and a prime vantage point for the fireworks—we narrowed it down to a few options: Myrtle & Rose, Top Deck, Electric Moon, and ultimately Rocks on the Roof. Our first choice was Myrtle & Rose based on photos of the ambiance, its polished décor, and the food and unlimited champagne offering at $225 per person. Unfortunately, they were sold out. Our next best option, based on photos and the fact that it’s part of the Bohemian Hotel, was Rocks on the Roof—and we were absolutely right to choose it.
We had an incredible experience ringing in the New Year at this venue. Not only did the price point save us a significant amount compared to Myrtle & Rose, but we also had prime views of the fireworks. Everything about the evening felt thoughtfully executed. Although the event was sold out and private, the space never once felt crowded or uncomfortable—something that’s rare, especially when venues aim to maximize capacity. The setup was excellent, starting with welcome gifts and a table filled with fun New Year’s accessories like hats, necklaces, and glasses.
Hors d’oeuvres were passed throughout the night and were both delicious and more filling than expected. There were also three appetizer options available for purchase; while appreciated, I would suggest expanding this menu slightly for future events. That said, what truly brought the entire experience together was the exceptional service. We were genuinely impressed by how attentive, professional, and welcoming everyone was—from the cooks and cleaning crew to the waitstaff, security, maintenance, and management. The consistently positive energy and great attitudes across the board truly made the night special.
Brooke was our primary waitress and did a fantastic job, and Elizabeth was also wonderful—frequently checking on us and passing hors d’oeuvres. When one of the outdoor heaters ran out of propane, manager Nerelis and engineer Charlie addressed it swiftly and efficiently. Charlie, in particular, was incredibly kind, attentive, and thorough throughout the entire event, consistently checking in and making sure guests were comfortable.
While most of the celebration took place indoors, many guests naturally wanted to secure a spot on the terrace for the fireworks. There were only two to three outdoor heaters available, and given how cold it was, I would strongly recommend adding more for future events.
Overall, this was an outstanding New Year’s Eve experience, and we would absolutely consider returning for future events.
