Rocksresort (Laax, Swiss Alps) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Winner of no less than 2018’s World’s Best Green Ski Hotel, Rocksresort, located right next to Laax’s cable-car station, is powered by regional hydroelectricity and is constructed with sustainably sourced materials. They’ve even constructed a honeybee habitat on the premises, akin to its habitat intended for guests’ own hives of activity. Alongside stylish suites and double rooms, Rocksresort offers apartments that are geared toward families or groups of four to eight. Skiing or hiking amidst Alpine wildflowers may be the main draw, but guests will be grateful to discover the culinary delights of the Surselva region in one of the resort’s many restaurants." - Tablet Hotels

The new summer concept is a total game changer and makes rocksresort just as perfect for families in summer as it’s always been in winter. We’ve long been fans of the winter vibe here, but since this year we’re fully embracing summer too. The Freestyle Arena, the super cool Snake Bar, and the packed summer activity program (mostly included!) completely won us over. Spoiler alert: we’ve already booked another week this summer because the kids love it soooo much!

We've skied in many places around the world, and this was one of our best experiences. The apartments are large, modern, and stylish, with plenty of storage and beautiful views. The kitchen is incredibly well-stocked with all the utensils you need to prepare meals. The shower and bathtub are luxurious. The entire resort complex is compact and well organized. Everything is a short walk away -- ski rental shops, cafes, restaurants, bars, a grocery store, locker facilities to store your equipment, etc. You have your choice of two gondolas to take you up the mountain. My teenage boys also very much enjoyed the underground freestyle park located next to the resort. My only complaint is that there aren't many cheap dining options for teenagers who don't appreciate fine dining. But I guess that's what the grocery store and the well-stocked kitchen are for.

I spent the winter break with my family at Rocksresort. The apartments were great, clean, good size, well furnished. All the staff are friendly and helpful. The restaurants are great. We had a wonderful time and we already booked for next season!

There used to be a small playground and an area with stones that was attractive for small kids to play. Both are gone and have been replaced by something uninspiring. |What are families with small kids supposed to do while older kids are in ski school? The only options are to leave the rocks resort. ||That and the fact that the Laax skiing area doesn't offer a family ticket (so that parents can swap duties and fun easily) drive us to try another area next year.

Probably one of the best stays of my life! The resort itself is pretty big and it’s surrounded by a natural area you can also visit. Great for retreats or more relaxing holidays!

The Rocksresort in Laax has become an impressive playground for young families and grown-up kids who wants to spend holidays in this great outdoor active resort.

The best ski-in ski-out Hotel we have ever been. Super stylish and cosy. A modern mountain chique! The Apartments are fully equipped with a great kitchen, beds are very comfy. Every apartment comes with a ski booth directly next to the gondola. The service is fabulous, if you need something the staff will make it happen. Lots of restaurant options around the resort and a freestyle skate and trampoline park for those kids who need more than skiing. Skiing is absolutely fantastic. Everyone is super friendly. Its a resort for young and older people and plenty of space for kids. Dogs are also very welcome and there are nice areas to go for a long or short walk with your dog (however, these should be maybe outlined to new guests). Did I mention there is also a Spa, indoor pool (my kids love that) and lots of different saunas? Free bus transport among the villages of Laax, Flims and Falera. Great movie theater in Flims. And foe what its worth, the doctors in Laax are very well equipped and did an outstanding service too. Really the best place in the world for a fun and relaxing Ski Vacation.

Besides the high price, which was expected, our vacation was perfect. My husband and I arrived in late December 2024 with two teenage boys. We booked the LAAX shuttle but unfortunately missed it due to a flight delay. We ended up taking the train to a bus which was easy enough but a pain with all of our gear. Heavy snow the first two days made conditions tricky but once the sun came out it was heaven. Pro snowboarders were there showing off their tricks. The kids had a blast. Took the bus to Flims to walk around and have a spa day. Very glad we stayed in Laax. Many more restaurants and bars to enjoy in Laax. There are not many "easy" trails, so I struggled as a novice snowboarder. But the trip was really for the kids and we scored 100% there!

Yelp
The rooms in rocks resort are pretty spacious and well furnished. There are a lot of sharp corners that are very predictable so it might not be a good idea bringing toddlers or other very young children. You can borrow classic games that I love at the front desk and in my case play the games with your family. I also love the portable sleds some rooms have and there is a really good restaurant/pizza place neer by so I can just do a one minute walk and pick up my pizza.

Yelp
This review is for Signina: Tried to check-in at 3, said my room wasn't ready yet. They'd call me when it was, but that I'd never get. Turns out it was prepared the whole entire time- but I never got apology, nor reason for this rhyme. We did the dine around, which worked for our large crew. Of the 3 restaurants we ate, the Italian I'd recommend to you. But not the Spanish tapas place, although the drinks were great- the waiter was so very rushed, spilled all over my leg and plate. Our room was in the chalet, which as they're usually found: we heard every conversation, in and around. It was a great location just by the gondola and bus. So easy by car or ÖV, without all the fuss.
