11 Places to Slurp Delicious Oysters Around the Bay Area

"Rocky Island Oyster Co. is one of the newer options on this list, opening October 2021 in the Crane Pavilion in Richmond. The restaurant is meant to be a “casual, family-friendly spot” reminiscent of the East Coast, as KQED reports, and features a rotating mix of oysters and specials alongside a unique view for those who rarely venture out to this side of the Bay." - Dianne de Guzman

Really cool space and the food and oysters are great. The ramen was delicious and worth getting. Oysters are fresh and briney but def pricey. It is what it is, but would love an oyster happy hour situation at some point in the future. Went out of the way to come this time and it's worth going. Definitely recommend!

Fresh uni, east coast oysters and perfect prawn cocktails. Need another star for when they get their raw clams. Try the unfiltered sparkling white.

Delicious oysters 🦪 and clam chowder soup (haven’t tried anything else yet) and the lady at the cashier was super nice. Nice spot! This place located in a market type of building and there are Mexican restaurants or bbq and you can order from anywhere!

We went to Rocky Island Oyster Company for the first time last night and loved it. The seafood is amazing - incredibly fresh and perfectly prepared. We had raw oysters, the crudo plate of yellowfin, scallops, and hamachi, a salad with large perfectly grilled shrimp, and a big bowl of clam chowder. All were great, as were the margaritas. The location on the water end of the historic Ford factory is unique and the vibe is friendly and down home. They even play a cool, eclectic selection of music. I can't recommend it highly enough!

This is the Bay’s best kept secret. Their staff is just as 5 star as their food. They have OUTSTANDING customer service. Their food is incredible. And if you ask for a strong drink, be prepared to be drunk for hours. Lol.

Great oysters, great lobster roll, cool space. Inside a dining hall with two other restaurants. Great view along the water around the corner.
