Restaurant closed (for renovation?), but no sign that will give you a heads up. Plenty of tables off the parking lot, to use for free, bring your picnic basket. Views: priceless!!!

I had a wonderful experience here. I got the seafood stew special and a chocolate mouse desert. The view is one of my favorite in all the world. The service was good, touching down and being polite. The host was accommodating in my request to change seats and I got a lovely view right where I wanted to be. The landscaping and the break from driving were most welcome. You have the ability here to take pictures around the property which I also really enjoyed. Would highly recommend to anyone driving PCH.

The place is closed now. But thank god we brought our own drinks. Enjoyed the view.

Three main elements I will describe: service, food, view. The service was absolutely horrible. We waited for fifty minutes to get water and our wine despite reminding the waitress and another member of staff three times. We ordered an additional portion of bread and again, it would not have arrived had we not reminded them of it. While there were relatively many guests when we arrived, the restaurant emptied out by the time we left which did not improve the service. On food, it was mediocre. The chicken was dry and bland, crab cakes were very fried. The starter of mussels was good. Finally, the views are spectacular. In short, save enough time and nerves, do not not expect much of the food and enjoy the view!

Can you get a beer by the Pacific? Romantic? Trying to locate whales in your horizon? This is the place. Exceptional view. We stopped by this place and were so amazed by the view that we spent almost two hours looking at the ocean. They have a good collection of wines and a few beers. They have their own train down the hotel. It's brilliant setting for a romantic date. Just brilliant. Don't forget to take your camera, plenty of good shots. For sure.

About one year after my last negative review I gave it another go! Had a 5 star. Customer service experience. Great parking, great views. Indoor and our door seating, drinks only patio area, limited menu but great food ( mostly) mixed drinks done well. Phillipe our server was amazing. The draw backs Dirty women's room ( did get remedied eventually), in one dish we had poor quality / old mussels a kitchen test of product batches would have prevented this. ( The rest of the dish was done well with quality ingredients) Old review:"Tried three times to dine here during days an hour's web page said. Three times I was dissapointed. 3-4 years ago this was my favourite place to eat and have a coffee after while watching the ocean. Hoping they return to business as normal now that summer is ramping up?"

This place is hidden on the way to Big Sur, outside of Carmel; the views are amazing! If you can come for sunset the photos are phenomenal and the the views are unreal. Beautifully decorated, great friendly staff, good food and amazing drinks! LOVE the Bloody Mary and lemongrass martini!!!!

We had a lovely late lunch on Easter Sunday at Rocky Point Restaurant. Natalie had the crab salad sliders and I had the fish sandwich. The food was delicious and plentiful and the service was friendly and fast. The views are spectacular and breathtaking. Pictures don’t do it justice. The restaurant is updated and landscaping is gorgeous. I’d definitely recommend this as a must try. They even have picnic tables where you can bring your own and just enjoy the views.
