Rocky Top Tavern

The fried chicken sandwich wasn’t what I expected for the typical bar Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich at this place is more like a hot and spicy from McDonald but it costs 13 bucks definitely not worth that price. Other than that it’s a cool neighborhood bar.

This neighborhood bar offers great drinks, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. It's a place you'll find yourself coming back to time and time again, especially to see the warm and attractive bartenders ;} Highly recommended!

I hosted a party at Rocky Top as part of a non-profit organization. The owner took very good care of us, going above and beyond what we could possibly expect. It’s a down-to-earth friendly place and should not be overlooked for the atmosphere. You will not be disappointed.

False advertisement. Update your website!!! The wings were terrible. You can tell that they were fried long time ago and they just put sauces on them. Clearly they were cold. The wings were almost rubber. How do you mess up wings? I can’t tell which way they were going with the bbq sauce cause it tasted more like tomato paste. Go buy sweet baby rays bbq and that will make it safe, but again the wings were NOT fresh. People that eat here definitely don’t know their own palate!!! Absolutely disgusting. What a waste, we will not be back!

Staying at an AB&B just a few blocks away, I've already been here 8 times in the past 10 days because the food prep is unusually phenomenal. Their wings are insanely good, and at times, Flintstones huge. The daily specials are great, but their normal menu is also priced well. The staff is killer. Also Dog friendly, obviously. So glad I found this gem! I never buy restaurant merch, but am definitely grabbing a shirt before heading back home for the good memories. Keep it up guys!

College place that is great for the beginning of end of your day. Never had bad service here. Highly recommend for fun time and bar food. Just wanted to add to my review as we just were there yesterday. We live down the street and love this place. Wednesdays are all you can eat wings, their breakfast burritos on weekends are well worth the low price, they have a hard to find IPA by Lone Wolf, and they make fantastic Bloody Mary's. Two pool tables and video games satisfy your game mode, they have lots of food items that are all above average from what we have tasted, and the vibe here is a perfect mix of college, dive-ish, local spot, and lively. A jukebox lets you own the tunes if desired. They were out of mac and cheese when I was there last, but that is next on my list. Will is a stellar bartender that knows when to engage and when to leave alone, and his service (along with his co-worker) is flawless and his personality is fun. The only people who can possibly give this place a 4-star rating are ones with overachieving expectations. Maybe they were looking for a white table cloth type of place. Highly recommend and see you there. Just went again and need to add something about the mac and cheese: I already light this place on past reviews, but I had the mac and cheese the other day and it was amazing. Great service, friendly regulars, video games, pool tables, juke box. This place is great on all fronts. Good specials, good prices even without specials, and wing night is fantastic. They carry a hard to find IPA called Lone Wolf also that is tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend. See you there. NEXT VISIT: Wife and I love this place more and more every single time. This time we had some lunch. Ben and colleagues, as usual, were great behind the bar. Perfect combo of personality, efficiency, and fun. GREAT drink and food specials on weekends. The $5 smothered burrito is a STEAL. $4 Bloody Mary's too. This time, we got the pretzel and grilled cheese (with some Buffalo sauce). Pics below. WATCH WHAT YOU SAY!! Got the chicken tenders. Seemed like a frozen product and very processed style. A big chicken nugget. Waitress was very cool. Got verbally threatened after I mentioned Trumps name in conversation by some regulars. Left in a haste and won't be back. USMarines don't take kindly to threats. Glad my service to the country is appreciated.

This Tavern was the absolute best place!! It was in walking distance of our Airbnb. It had great daily deals on drinks. The food was out of this world!! The homemade salsa was so delicious. Definitely a hidden gem for sure! Will be going back for sure.
