⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I’ve lived in the neighborhood for 15 years, and honestly, I didn’t love the vibe at Rocky Top Tavern before this current crew started working here. Now it’s my go-to spot. Nicole, Shannon, Talei, Cal, Will, and Ben are absolutely awesome—fun, welcoming, and all-around great bartenders. They make the place feel like home every time I stop in. 10/10 highly recommend! Do yourself a favor and swing by at least twice—you’ll see why this team makes Rocky Top such a great neighborhood hangout.

Had a great time here. One bartender and one cook handled the whole place. Professional, chill, great food, lovely time. What a bar to happen to walk into. How are you keeping these prices?!

Went on a Sunday during Football kickoff weekend. Place was hopping. I ordered a mushroom and Swiss burger and substituted the beef patty with a chicken breast. Among the best chicken sandwiches I have ever had. Well seasoned, incredible bun, skin-on, hand cut French fries with a side of BBQ sauce- was fantastic. Friendly service. While it is a “dive bar” with loud music and a bathroom with dueling toilets - food is really well crafted and the staff clearly takes great pride in their service and upkeep of the place. Good variety on the menu and very reasonable prices.

Coming into a dive bar, I’ll admit—I was skeptical. With over 13 years in the industry, it’s hard not to notice when there’s only one server covering a full patio and half the inside. Naturally, I expected delays or chaos… but Vanna absolutely blew me out of the water. She was not only personable and reliable, but managed to juggle multiple areas of the restaurant with total ease—never missing a beat. Her service alone is worth coming back for. The menu? Amazing. Tons of food options, rotating specials, and in this day and age, the prices are shockingly fair. For a small neighborhood spot, they’re running exceptionally well. Great food, standout service, and a laid-back vibe—this place is officially a must-try in my book!

Staying at an AB&B just a few blocks away, I've already been here 8 times in the past 10 days because the food prep is unusually phenomenal. Their wings are insanely good, and at times, Flintstones huge. The daily specials are great, but their normal menu is also priced well. The staff is killer. Also Dog friendly, obviously. So glad I found this gem! I never buy restaurant merch, but am definitely grabbing a shirt before heading back home for the good memories. Keep it up guys!

The fried chicken sandwich wasn’t what I expected for the typical bar Fried Chicken Sandwich. The sandwich at this place is more like a hot and spicy from McDonald but it costs 13 bucks definitely not worth that price. Other than that it’s a cool neighborhood bar.

College place that is great for the beginning of end of your day. Never had bad service here. Highly recommend for fun time and bar food. Just wanted to add to my review as we just were there yesterday. We live down the street and love this place. Wednesdays are all you can eat wings, their breakfast burritos on weekends are well worth the low price, they have a hard to find IPA by Lone Wolf, and they make fantastic Bloody Mary's. Two pool tables and video games satisfy your game mode, they have lots of food items that are all above average from what we have tasted, and the vibe here is a perfect mix of college, dive-ish, local spot, and lively. A jukebox lets you own the tunes if desired. They were out of mac and cheese when I was there last, but that is next on my list. Will is a stellar bartender that knows when to engage and when to leave alone, and his service (along with his co-worker) is flawless and his personality is fun. The only people who can possibly give this place a 4-star rating are ones with overachieving expectations. Maybe they were looking for a white table cloth type of place. Highly recommend and see you there. Just went again and need to add something about the mac and cheese: I already light this place on past reviews, but I had the mac and cheese the other day and it was amazing. Great service, friendly regulars, video games, pool tables, juke box. This place is great on all fronts. Good specials, good prices even without specials, and wing night is fantastic. They carry a hard to find IPA called Lone Wolf also that is tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend. See you there. NEXT VISIT: Wife and I love this place more and more every single time. This time we had some lunch. Ben and colleagues, as usual, were great behind the bar. Perfect combo of personality, efficiency, and fun. GREAT drink and food specials on weekends. The $5 smothered burrito is a STEAL. $4 Bloody Mary's too. This time, we got the pretzel and grilled cheese (with some Buffalo sauce). Pics below. Stopped in to have a beer with a friend. It was quite packed, but everybody was very chill. People said hello to you, even though they didn't know you which is very cool we were greeted by the bartender immediately asked what we would like we ordered a couple of beers. The inside is decorated with surfboards or boogie boards, which I thought was very cool because one of the boards hanging from the wall. There's a menu on there for shots, which is very very cool. Although I did not look at the menu all the food that came out looked amazing and smelled very good. I will have to go back and have lunch some day so if you're in the area stop by and check it out see what you think. Thanks For The Read Until Next Time......

Yes, there are fries here -- and they come with all the burgers and sandwiches... As much as I love fries though I couldn't resist all the other fried treats. We got the fried mac & cheese bites, as well as tater tots. Both were fantastic, which duh is great for a local bar. The drinks were strong. The staff was excellent, attentive and fucking funny. We were also there on a trivia night, and got to see the whole place vibing with the local community. This is a great local bar. If you're there for sports, though... While the staff will do their best to get you whatever game you want, the TVs are not big screens. Visit anyway, because the food and drinks and people are wonderful.

Wings are great and a cool little dive bar in a cool little location. Wish I lived over by there or I'd go more often.

Stopped by while driving through Denver and it was very much a dive bar. The queso came out super cold and the burger and fries were alright. It was very loud which I would expect from a dive bar, but it was still a bit much while eating. It was our servers first day and she was sweet, but everyone else was extremely unfriendly? Not sure if it's because we were "out of towners" but I got the vibe everyone there was locals and they didn't appreciate us being there

For bar food, this place is a go-to. Really solid burgers, tendies, Phillies, etc.. have had yet to order something that wasn't great! Good spot to post up and watch a game, or bring a group of friends and play some pool.

Listen. I can't say enough kind words about this place. We love every time we go there. If you are blessed with Will or Ben being your bartender, then kiss the sky and go buy a lottery ticket after your drinks. The breakfast burrito is amazing (get it smothered), whatever Ben does to the Bloody Mary mix is illegal and awesome, and then go play pool afterwards. Combo of a dive bar, but good food, regulars, and a college bar. And games. The Lone Wolf IPA is off the hook. Big fan. Definitely recommend and see you there (actually that is my tagline, but I live down the street, so I might see you there).

My fiancé absolutely fell in love with the atmosphere of the place. Very chill and happy vibes all around. Pretty tasty food for a pretty good price! The Mac and cheese was like eating a fancier pasta dish. I was surprised! My burger looked like those ultra cheesy gooey burgers you'd see in ASMR videos that makes you want to drop everything to grab one. I'd have to say it was a bit more dry than I would have liked tho. Not bad still. The green beans were fun! Never had them fried before but it was a good appetizer. Definitely want to try out their brunch food.

Owners were rude, drunk and belligerent. Tried to kick me out after my friend didn't know a rule. Then his wife tried to wait our table instead (which violates FLSA regulations, and mind you she was still drunk) and then had the audacity to criticized the tip I had left! First, I typically leave it on the table, and second I didn't know I had to give it to the owners! The owner then also contradicted himself when we were trying to pay for the tab, by still trying to kick us out. Don't like spending your money? Then don't come here, if you have some sort of decency, or just want to have a good night without getting harassed by man going through a mid-life crisis.

Asked for my card back, server Shannon told me she already gave it back to me. Went to speak to another employee and suddenly "she found where she kept it". Never again.

Drove all the way from Aurora to do all you can eat wings but they didn't want to serve us because apparently after 10:00 they don't do it. But on their website it clearly doesn't say anything about that. Terrible service would not recommend this place!

The vibe is dive bar but that's why we go. Lots of TVs and they always have every game on! Service is always good- average not anything crazy and they don't try to upsell you. We usually come for the wings but I tried the cauliflower wings and chicken tenders this time. I wouldn't get them again. 3 days on the road from miami and i was hungry!! close to the hotel and the menu looked good so off i went.. winner winner totchos dinner!! i heart totchos and these were delicious!! and a house salad cuz my body was desperate for vegetables.. and 2.50 tecate monday special.. just so much win.. great service, great food, crappy review, and no pics cuz i forgot.. again.. but i will 100% go back while i'm in town..

Love ROCKY TOP! We were there twice over the weekend and it was super busy each time, but Ben the bartender was an absolute joy! Smile on his face the entire time he was making drinks, taking food orders, delivering food orders and talking to customers. We had a big group and everyone ordered something different and we all LOVED the food. It is for sure a place to hit up if you are in the area, want some good food and fun!

This was a rad spot that we were trying to find to bring our dog too, definitely the place to check out for a patio and the food was amazing! Totally stoked to find this and was super happy with the Philly Cheesesteak. The Hummus and veggies with the pita bread was amazing too. Come check it out and have a beer!

Wings were fantastic but the FRYS were not so good. Waitress was nice gave good service. Prices were cheap to feed 4 had beers and shots for 120

We moved into the neighborhood recently and Rocky Top has become our favorite restaurant/bar in the area! The food is amazing and staff is always friendly and helpful. Great food great vibes great people!! Happy to have this place in the neighborhood.

Shannon was an absolute gem! Came into a packed bar on a Wednesday night to get all you can eat wings and she made me experience incredible! Very attentive and sweet. Wings were delicious, drinks were even better! Thank you Shannon will definitely be back

The food here is SO GOOD! I just recently moved into the area and was told to check this place out asap and I'm so glad I did. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. This neighborhood dive bar honestly has some of the best wings I've ever tried They also do a new burger of the week that is always mouth watering. One of the best things about this place is that they have daily specials every day of the week. And they are actually good deals on some of their best menu items. Make sure you try a quesadilla, yummmm! Also the Asian sprinkle wings are my absolute favorite!

I ordered sweet potato tater tots and was given cajun fries and was still charged for the extra price of sweet potato tater tots.

I love this spot. It's such a chill bar and I always have a great time coming here. Their food is awesome bar food. You can't go wrong with the wings, fried Mac and cheese bites, pretzel and I recently got the wedge salad, which was great. Cal and Kyle are awesome and always provide exceptional service. They also have a touch tunes jukebox so you can play your own music if you'd like!

I loved everything on the menu, except the fried pickles, which would be 100x better if they were chips instead of spears. But the food and drinks are great, the service is excellent, and the vibes are just immaculate. It's a dive bar so you need to be in that kind of mood but it was my favorite dive I visited in Denver.

Great service, great people, great prices. If you're a local you already know. I was not a neighborhood local, and they treated me great anyways. I happen to not have cash or card with me, it was 9 pm and bartender arranged to accept alternative e payment with a patrons help, easy, peazy and discreet. The wraps are great grub for $9 to $11 with classy sides. Unusual quality for the price and dive bar type place. They do quite well with the local crowd and welcome everyone!!

Super weird occurrence. Came in with a group of 10 on their all you can eat wing night. Understandable it would be busy and a bit hectic. We were standing along a railing and just making the most of our space. 8 out of ten of us were served by a server. Two of us were singled out and server wouldn't make eye contact with us or take our order. Server ended up coming over to our group and getting in one girls face and telling her we shouldn't have ordered if we were planning on moving. Stayed in the same place the whole night so weird comment. Anyways, two of us barely got served the entire night and had to beg for drinks / refills on drinks. Ended up going to the bar, but the server came over and told the bartender not to serve us. Super hostile environment. Wings were pretty good though.

Love this place!!! Ben, will and stan gotchu covered!! Great food great peoples and a couple pool tables in the back Also its a good spot to watch the game and always has a dope brunch deal on Sundays!! Just wish they were open around lunch during more weekdays

We stopped here for a quick bite to eat before going to a Sipping n Painting party. This is definitely a sports bar. Pretty small inside and out. Either sit at the bar or a high top table. Two pool tables, multiple TVs. Looks like they have nightly drink specials. The menu has more to offer than similar bars. I had a turkey, avocado club on Texas toast with tots on the side that was actually really good and under $10. We started with an order of fried pickles and macaroni bites, also pretty good. One of my friends had the burrito, which was good sized and she said was very good. If you're into divey, local bars, you'll like this place. Very limited street parking. No lot, no meters.

Cool old place with a patio and old school inside (including an old stale smoke smell from many years ago). Many selections of weird shots for the college kids and bar food which looked pretty good if you're into that. Thing is, the rude bartender! Geez! She had a bad attitude to women, ignores them really.....if you're male you're in luck though and will chat you up while while ignoring the females standing there waiting. She also acted very annoyed that I even ordered a drink then used her fingers to literally touch everything in my drink (vs the other bartender who used a skewer to pick up items that goes into drinks). Insanely long fake nails all over my contents of my glass.....Isn't this a health code violation? So gross!

Our favorite bar -- the staff is amazing, the drinks are delicious, and the food is honestly the biggest reason we are here weekly. The pretzel is life changing :)

Rocky Top Tavern is now #1 in my power rankings for favorite bar in Denver. The food quality is amazing. The drink selection is astounding. However, The best thing about this bar is the prices, their specials, and the vibe. Denver, as a whole, has recently gone off the rails with high prices at its bars. But Rocky Top Tavern remains committed to the element of being a community bar and there is a reason we drive 20 minutes to get there.

I like this place. Not only because it's right down the road, but also because of the specials they have. I've only been here once, and I ordered the $1 tacos (they were good for a buck), but I saw other specials on different days that I really want to try - like a $3 NORMAL sized burger?!? Definitely want to check that out. Anyway I also had an order of the chicken and waffle sliders, and they were good but not great. It's basically a couple pieces of chicken (probably frozen) stuck between two Eggo mini waffles. It was worth trying though, just not what I expected when it comes to chicken and waffles. The beer choices were decent and the staff was friendly. I like this place.

Try the fried green beans. Reminds you of onion rings but Better than onion rings! So good.

Looking for a small spot with great food and drinks to catch a game? You've found the place. Plenty of screens. Plenty of seating arrangements. You can bring your doggo. The Baja burger is amazing. The chicken wings are so good. And plenty of drink options. When we arrived only the bartender was there to both take orders and get them out and he somehow did them both in a way where you didn't feel like service lacked. Beer is always flowing, but try the liquid marijuana shots. They are the type that taste good, so you know they'll mess you up later. Parking is on street, but that was no problem for me.

This place should be shut down. The bartenders change the tip after you leave. When confronted they said they have been doing it for years if you have a problem go somewhere else. This is absurd and illegal. Do not go to this place they will steal from you.

I have not been here since it was The Hilltop. Nice trasformation and remodel. We went for brunch and the food I had was good. I had the BLAT sandwich a BLT with avacado. Very tasty. Side of tots, too many tots but better then too little. He had the huevos dos tatchos, egg and tot casserole. He liked it. They have bottomless mimosas too. Street parking but plenty of spaces.

Been here a couple times and have had such great experiences! Great prices and good food. Jessica and Will have served us multiple times and that has been the reason we came back! Ann has served us the last two times we have been in and it's made me not want to go back. Very rude, forgetful, acts like she doesn't want to be there! Came for BOTTOMLESS wings but when we asked her for a SECOND ROUND you would of thought we asked her to jump off a cliff then wings came 38 minutes later!! We will be back but will ask for another server every time, besides Ann.

Came here after class with my BF. Nice and relaxed atmosphere, decorations and set up. We took a seat in the second room with the pool tables. Within a few minutes anwaitress was at our table and we ordered drinks. The drinks came out fast, my Bf has a beer and I had a lime cocktail. The cocktail was good but definitely needed a bit more of a kick, could not taste the booze. We ordered a black bean burger with tots and a Philly burger with tots. While we waited for the food we payed a game of pool. * Read the signs by the pool table quarters area, you can get a discount on two games, which we missed. The food came out pretty fast. The tots were perfect; hot,crispy and lightly seasoned. My black bean burger was good, typical BBB with the regular accompaniments. The Philly burger was tasty as well. A bit over priced for the establishment but nothing outrageous. The service was great, the waitress came over multiple times to refill water and take more drink orders. She was kind and efficient. Definitely will be back for food and pool when in the area.

Great atmosphere. Great service. Great food. The chicken and waffles sliders and TAB melt we're delicious. And...the First ladies bathroom I have EVER been to that has 2 toilets! Efficient for the ladies that go together.

My favorite place in the world. Amazing drink specials and food specials. Although this is truly a college bar- it always allowed space for community members to join in the fun. You'll never find a place with a better happy hour, a better karaoke night, or better food for the price. Rocky top is a Regis GEM and you cannot beat $5 wing Wednesday's and $3 Wells.

The staff here are AMAZING! Every single one of the employees here that I have gotten were so nice and so very kind! They are so attentive and their suggestions of what their favorites are really help you get outside your norm and try something new! The wings here are something that you will crave 24/7, also with their TOCHOS they are so good! I love everything about this little place and it has become my new favorite place to go.

Well, this place is not kid friendly. My two children and I were turned away at the door. Evidently they don't allow children in the restaurant / bar after 6 pm. I don't believe that is the city ordinance and will follow up with the city tomorrow. Sitting in ROO BAR right now with my two children, enjoying all you can eat hot wings at 7:41 pm. They follow the city ordinance and allow children til 9 pm. No kids after 6 pm, and Rock Top calls themselves a neighborhood establishment- REALLY?

The. Best. Bar. These folks know how to make me feel at home without ever expecting ANYTHING from me except the bill at the end of the night. The lovely people at Rocky Top treat you well with no bulls**t. Ever. Just good people. - Neighborhood regular for 2+ years

These guys. Went in for lunch, had the best service with distancing. They are truly observing all regulations. Food is exactly as stated on the menu, fast service. As someone who doesn't like to eat out during a pandemic, I felt 100 percent comfortable. Thank you, Rocky Top! Well done!

Cool atmosphere! Pool tables and a jukebox, plus some great patio seating! Came in for a few beers and some chips and queso, ended up having some great wings and turkey avocado club! Would recommend both! Will for sure come back next time we are visiting the area.

Wanna like this place but the bartenders are rude and disrespectful. We live down the street and never feel welcome. I would rather spend my hard earned money at Goldspot Brewing or Billy's Inn.

As a long time patron of bars, I find it personally annoying when a bar charges double the price for a double. Add to that, I didn't really taste the vodka anyway(so couldn't really tell if it was a double), however, probably why it's only 3.50 for well drinks) From what I could tell the food specials were pretty varied and rotated out based on the day of the week. I'll probably come back here again to give it a second spin, but I won't make the mistake of ordering a double ever again, such a waste. I understand some bars charge this way while others charge for like 150 percent of the first drink, I personally think this is a lot fairer way of charging for a double, as you're saving them some mixer in the process. As it was Friday, we had the dollar street tacos, shrimp, chicken, they were all pretty good. Our server(didn't catch her name) was super friendly and was very attentive to our needs. So all in all, minor critique based on bar practices. I read they have bottomess mimosas on Sundays, may have to try that out in the future here.
