RockyPop Chamonix - Les Houches

Love Rocky pop, brilliant hotel. Very clean, great staff. Brilliant bar with a great post ski vibe, and resturant food was great, lots of options from pizza and burgers, to more traditional French options, with provenance key, while being fairly priced. Ate 3 nights at the hotel. Room was great, but lacked seating due to the quirky style hence only 4 star. It's nice to have a sit down and a cup of coffee or glass of wine. There is no tea or coffee making facilities nor fridge in the room, but still and sparkling water along with tea and coffee machine located in reception. This would not stop us staying again as public areas made up with seating, but it's a busy hotel if you want peace. There is some lovely outdoor space, but not suitable in the winter. Location is 15 min by car to chamonix and 7 to Les Houches ski drop-off. Hotel parking was free and there is a ski shop onsite for convenience. Highly recommend.

Stayed for a few days snowboarding in December. Really really cool decor based around 80s video games and pop art. Staff we're really helpful with everything we asked about. The room was clean, tidy and perfectly looked after. Had breakfast each day and only comment is the coffee could have been better... but I'm a coffee snob! Stored our boards in the free locker which is part of the ski shop worked really well with warm air drying for the boots inside the locker. Had a couple of evening meals that were tasty and good value for Chamonix. There is bus stops right outside the hotel to take you into Chamonix and Les Houches which run every 30 minutes. The location of the hotel wasn't a downer but it did mean the hotel stayed quiet too.. would be definitely a place I would go back to if I'm going to Chamonix again. If I can find the negatives, they really would nitpicking.. especially for the price compared to loads of other places...

Great hotel, really friendly and helpful staff, lovely atmosphere and delicious food. Our room was compact but very well designed, so we didn’t feel squished. More/brighter lights in the room would have been helpful when looking for items. Location is good could - can get to Les Houches or Chamonix fairly quickly. Only challenge was the buses - at peak times it could be hard to get on them as they were so full.

Rooms were really nice and clean. Service was not the best as was given wrong directions to a mountain and nearly missed ski lesson. Kitchen staff were not friendly and were having a go at me for making a sandwhich to eat for breakfast and said we couldn't take it for lunch and had to pay extra even though we were eating at the table. Also saw this happen to 4 other people cross 3 days. Location is in close proximity to a bus stop and the supermarket, as well as walking distance to some restaurants. Overall, clean, easy to find, good because its close to a bus (although they come every 30 minutes), but it is expensive for what you're getting.

It was a great stay for us before starting TMB! The room is so cozy and equipped with almost everything you need! I love the design of the hotel and the people there are so friendly!

I stayed one night at the Rocky Pop with my partner and had a very positive experience. The hotel is highly functional and the atmosphere is excellent: well designed, carefully detailed, and original, with a fun and pleasant style that works very well without feeling overdone. The staff were friendly, professional, and efficient. The room was clean, comfortable, and well organized, with everything needed for a short stay. I did not encounter any issues. Considering the price paid, the overall quality and attention to detail felt more than fair. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone stopping in the area.

Enjoyed another visit to the Rocky Pop which, despite the strange name, is a very pleasant , if quirky, place to stay. The room was very clean, great bed (firm, I think it sorted out my back problem!), great shower (toiletries provided) and great fluffy towels.||We don't ski so some of the provided services just went past us but the hotel is well located for access to the slopes to the east and west, bus stops are right outside. ||Chamonix is a short bus ride (10mins?) away but the hotel serves good food and has a substantial bar so apart from viewing the vastly overpriced kit in the Chamo shops why bother?!

We stayed at the RockyPop for the weekend. The hotel is in a great location for visiting the center of Chamonix and skiing. I particularly appreciated the large parking and the staff. In the evening there was also some musicians, it was nice for drink smothing after skiing or after dinner. If I really had to suggest something to improve the hotel, I'd say change the pillows, but it's very personal. The room had all the necessary amenities and I also found it clean. I would recommend it to anyone looking to visit Chamonix at a good price.

Located in Les Houches, it's just a short-ish public bus ride to and from Chamonix. The bus is free during the day and a small charge (1.50 euro) in the evening. The hotel has such a fun vibe. It's just buzzing with energy. Rooms are tiny but clean and well appointed (there's a wall mounted towel warmer so you can hand wash and dry some of your clothes here). The breakfast spread was wonderful. There was fruit, sausage, mushrooms, eggs, chia seed pudding, pastries, juices etc. I had dinner one night here and got a burger and it was fresh and filling. I would stay at RockyPop again, and would recommend to family and friends (esp those coming in larger groups) who don't mind a short trek into Chamonix.

This is where you should stay if you're visiting Chamonix or any town nearby. Take the bus into Chamonix from the stop in front of RockyPop because this hotel is totally worth it. They have free arcade games, communal fridges freezers and microwaves, a full bar, a restaurant (make a reservation) with delicious food (get the burgers and chocolate desert), reliable internet, extremely comfy rooms, and excellent patio views of the Mont Blanc range. Staff is wonderful and speaks seemingly every language. They're fun and make you feel right at home. You'll also find live music on Saturday nights and a playground outside for the kids. Parking is available on site. Prices here are extremely cheap for all that value. I can't recommend this hotel enough.

Rocky pop is such a vibe! The hallways to the rooms remind me of pac man with such fun carpet and neon light room numbers. The front desk was very friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and had a good amount of Space. The hotel is about 15/20 minute bus ride into Chamonix but the prices are far cheaper than anything in the city directly. They have a delicious restaurant where I had one of the best cheese pizzas of my life. There are a lot of activities at the hotel and it is very lively. The only thing is they DO NOT do bag check if you arrive early. We were lucky enough to check in early however you can't store bags here. Would stay again. I really enjoyed my visit overall.

Staying here for over a week and can't say how helpful the receptionist was. Breakfast option was great for €15. Dinner was excellent. Good choice after a ling walk.

Stayed here for one night on September 4, 2022. Loved it. The decor, from the rubix cube tissue covers to the glittery elevators, is a bit quirky - in a good way. I particularly liked the views, toiletries and bar area. The breakfast, which was included in my stay, was the best I had during my walk through the Tour du Mont Blanc area. Also, Chamonix is easily accessible by train, bus or foot. (The walk is about three miles.)

It's not in the best location but it makes up for it in spades. This place is SO COOL. hahah Really though the vibe of the entire place was fun. You can get anywhere pretty easily and parking was fine. The photos alone should show you how innovative the owners are. The bar is good, the random things around the place are fun, and it gives off the vibe of refined pop culture. This is what big kids make when they get money. This hotel. I was inspired and wanted to take some of it back to my businesses back in Canada. The stay itself was comfortable. Nothing to really complain about and the food was better than expected. It's a bit far away from the crazy of Chamonix, but sometimes that's a good thing. You also SAVE MONEY by not being around that area 24/7.

By far the best hotel experience i've ever had. Stumbled on this option while on a trip in Chamonix, France as we were scrubbing booking.com for availability. This spot was rated fairly high and close enough to where we wanted to be. As soon as we checked in and got to the room, I went straight back to reception and booked a consecutive night. The atmosphere is head and shoulders above anything else you'll likely find. Great place for families and the staff is incredible. I heard 4-5 languages being spoken at any given time and they handled every guest with ease. Fret not ye English speaking travelers... this spot is what you're hoping for. Extremely clean, great restaurant/bar, and tons of entertainment for every age group. Off street parking, free bus travel to/from Chamonix and awesome views.

I just stayed one night there and now I am contemplating returning to Chamonix mainly due to this hotel. It is a bit out of town but less than 10 mins away by car. Besides, if you are with kids than this hotel makes up for it in droves with all the amenities provided such as outdoor playground, indoor play area, arcade machines, foosball and ping pong. The vibe was amazing for adults as well. The restaurant area has amazing views and the bar had great live music. Rooms are laid out in a funky manner too which all added to the vibe.

One of my favorite hotels!! The staff is so kind and helpful, foods fantastic, and it was super convenient to have a ski and snowboard rental service downstairs. Definitely recommend...pictures don't do it justice
