Lived in Ozone Park for 30+ years. I moved down to Georgia and spent 2 years eating not too pleasing Italian food. Then I was told about ROCKY’S. They do not disappoint. And the owner, has made every single one of my orders personally by hand. Amazing food. Amazing service. Never once have I been disappointed. And the bacon egg and cheese is better than any I’ve tasted in the boroughs. Signed a TRUE NEW YORK.

Now THIS is the spot! A friend recommended I stop in here while in town and I was not disappointed. I got the Jersey Turnpike (with pork roll) on an Asiago bagel… it was off the chains!!!! So delicious and fresh. I’m originally from south of Philly/Jersey area and it’s hard to find authentic Italian food in the south. Rocky’s is excellent and exceeded my expectations!!! Bill and his team know great customer service and hospitality! Oh, and the homemade pizzelles were perfect with just the right amount of star anise. I will certainly be back.

10 years Savannah resident here have no choice but to share my first experience at Rocky's. I've eaten all over Savannah over the decade, And I decided to give their steak and egg breakfast sandwich a try and man let me tell you. I've never had a New York deli or breakfast sandwich experience. I've seen them on YouTube and thought man I wonder if those are as good as they look? And let me tell you! Exceeded my expectations! As good as every ingredient on that sandwich was I must try nearly everything on their menu. I don't know if they make their own bread. I'm not even a bread fan. But man the bread they used was so light and fluffy and fresh. Nowadays when it comes to breakfast meats it's hard to find what feels like real authentic cuts of meat rather than processed and man. That was real shaved what I assume to be ribeye. The egg was cooked to perfection. Thin layer of yolk still soft right in the middle. I'm also a big fan of Philly and French dip sandwiches. I see they have a roast beef and French dip sandwich. Also the chicken cutlet sandwiches. Man I don't even know what I'm going to get next but I can say, This is hands down been the best food experience I've had in the Chatham county area in at least 3 years which was at eggs up grill. Which this by far exceeded but it's also a different style. I can still recommend bags up grill as one of my favorite more diner style breakfast to sit down with the family. They're breakfast potatoes, French toast, pancake, mimosas are all very good but it looks like Rockies will be getting my money for a little while while I explore the rest of their menu. I'm hooked

Google
Rocky's is crazy good. I've never been to a deli in NY so I can't compare, but their sandwiches are ridiculous. Ingredients all top tier and the selection is huge. I usually get the weekly special because it's always something different, and kinda wild. They also have a lot of prepared fresh and frozen food like meatballs, lasagna, and assorted ravioli.

Google
Great lil spot almost hiding away! I got the chopped cheese and half pastrami to go. It was pretty dang good. For my taste, the chopped cheese was almost too salty (but delicious!), and the rye bread on the pastrami was… I’m not sure, but it kind of ruined the sandwich for me. It was a bit dry and just crumbled apart as I ate it. But THE MEAT, was on point. 👌 The prices kept me from coming back a second time, but that chopped cheese was priced right. 👏 I was hoping they’d have tongue, but maybe in a future visit. 😉

Cashea S.

Google
This place is out of this world. Legit, the best sandwiches you can ask for. Hearty and filling, but tasty and packed full of flavor. The chopped cheese is probably my favorite because of the size and flavors, for a great price. Cheesiness in every bite. The pastrami is absolutely delicious, but that chopped cheese still won for my favorite sandwich. We were in town for a week and went 3x. That should tell you just how great this place is. They do get very busy and they also take a while to make, but good food takes time. The staff are always friendly. I will 100% go back anytime we are in town.

Google
Went to Rocky’s for lunch with another couple, also from Long Island looking for some NY deli hero’s. The food was great and the owner Billy was so welcoming. Thank you for the hospitality and great food. Also loved all the memorabilia on the walls. Brought back lots of memories.

Google
I got the lox bagel and a regular bagel for me and my fiancé. We were excited to try this since we once lived in NYC, but the bagels fell flat. They tasted stale and hard. I’m not sure if the bagels are made fresh daily? I’d be open to trying their catering and pastrami, but I would skip the bagels.

Yelp
There's no better representation of an authentic New Yotk style Italian deli than Rocky's anywhere near Savannah or Bluffton/Hilton Head, and that's coming from a New Jersey native who spent his entire adult life celebrating these types of businesses before relocating here. Everything I have ever had has been top notch, the service is spectacular, and the atmosphere and vibe honestly make me not want to leave. I drive 45 minutes for this bliss.
google avatar

Yelp
I recieved a giftcard to this place and I honestly have ever heard of Rocky's until I got the giftcard.....but wow! the food here is amazing! I got the THE VITO SPATAFORE sandwhich and it was delious!!! It was kinda confusing where to order or what you do when you first walk in and if it wasn't for a local I probably would have been standing there for a while. Once I was able to order I ended up having to wait quite a while since they had so many orders but the wait was worth it! The sandwhich was so large I was able to save it for the next days lunch. I will definitely will be coming back!

Yelp
Great Italian deli in Sandfly GA. Been here before and it's worth a return trip. We ordered the Reuben, the bomb, and the roast beef special with bacon and cheese. Both hot and big enough to share. Chips and potato salad completed our meal. Lots of drink options. Lots of homemade desserts including NY cheesecake. Service was slow but it was lunchtime. There are approximately 6 tables. There are to go meals in a cooler if you're in a rush. Definitely will return.

Yelp
Wandered in here on a rainy Friday based on something I saw on Instagram. WOW - so glad we did! The sandwiches were huge, the soup was hot and the cannolis were terrific. The staff greeted us and answers questions we had about the menu. They were very nice. The place was a bit small but we loved checking out all the NYC memorabilia on the wall. Great place to pickup and go, but there are also tables you can stay and eat at. We also got a very nice acknowledgment/thank you upon leaving. Highly recommend if you're looking for a great deli experience!!

Yelp
Best NY deli in greater Savannah, hands down!!! Don't expect low cost, but it is worth it to get an authentic NY treat! The sandwiches are super quality and very large, enough for two meals (to share on spot or to take half sandwich home for second meal). Ingredients are legit. Proper cheese and deli meats. I understand they make their own pastrami! Bread is fresh and tasty. You can see the quality meats at the counter...this isn't a subway chain-like store! My DOUBLE-DECKER was amazing! Pastrami (1/2lb) & Corned Beef (1/2lb), melted Swiss cheese, coleslaw on Jewish rye with homemade Russian dressing. This is a ton of tasty meat! See my picture. My friend ordered the VITO SPATAFORE. He's a regular here and this is his favorite. I tried it, and it was really good! Breaded chicken cutlet, soppressata, provolone cheese, arugula, roasted red pepper with red wine vinaigrette on a hero. You can get chips for your side, but you would miss out on their delicious PASTA SALAD. As a proper NY deli, they also make CANNOLIS. Ours was very good, and had a slight citrus zest note, which is typical for Italian cannolis. The shop is in a strip, nothing glamorous on outside, and you would likely pass by if you didn't know what it was (don't pass by). The interior is small, but they have a few tables. I think they get a lot of take out orders, and it was easy to find tabke at peak lunch time, but was only here once, and it was on New Years Eve day so not representative. Don't expect fast food. It didn't take overly long, but you do sit down while they prepare the food. Good food is worth the wait!

Yelp
When you move south from NJ or NY and you find a place like this, it's like getting the biggest hug ever. Rocky's is exactly what we've been looking for. Everything about this restaurant feels like home. From NJ Turnpike, Salmon with cream cheese, capers , tomatoes, onions on an everything bagel, the daily specials and that cup of coffee in the old timer paper coffee cup. Let's just call this place "heaven" The service is top notch and they are very efficient. I would call your order in ahead so it's ready when you get there.

Kaile N.

Yelp
I love this deli. I was so happy to find this place. Their sandwiches are really excellent. Quick, easy service. It's not too big, but there are some seats. It's mostly just the deli counter. Exactly what a deli should be.

David P.

Yelp
Amazing Customer Service I walked in late morning on a Saturday. They logically were very low on bagels. They asked me what I was looking for and they said give us 30 minutes and you'll have your exact bagel order. So, I came back in 33 minutes and "my" bagels were cooling. Two minutes later I was walking out with the best, warm bagels... ever! When I got home, the bagels were chewy and delicious. If you want a real bagel, this is the place to go.

Jon H.

Yelp
Just recently heard about this place, as I'm from NY I've been looking for a good deli. The food was good, but we waited more than 30 minutes for our order (two of us). When it arrived, both orders were wrong, and even after remaking our sandwiches, they still were wrong. It's not brain surgery, but I will try again another time. Just get the order right and have it prepared in a reasonable amount of time...which is not more than 30 minutes for two sandwiches.

Yelp
I only stopped in to get a couple of pounds of their potato salad. The sandwich menu looked very impressive. Watched the guys make some sandwiches as I waited. They also have a nice selection of frozen take out pasta. I am definitely putting this on my sandwich list while in Skidaway.

Faye B.

Yelp
Every single thing was perfect and service is always outstanding. Everything was fresh and not pre-made. The Ingredients were fresh and not prepackaged.

Yelp
Legitimate Italian Deli. I had a chicken cutlet with fresh mozzarella and roasted red peppers. The service was great, and it was nice to meet the friendly staff. There are tables surrounded by great pictures. Enjoy.

Yelp
Rocky's Deli is a true hidden gem in Savannah, and after featuring them in an episode of Savannah's Nooks and Crannies, I can see why the locals love it so much. We ordered The T--dry-cured Gabagool, soppressata, mortadella, provolone cheese, red onions, lettuce, tomato, and a red wine vinaigrette, all served on a hero. This sandwich was stacked and full of flavor. The meats were top-notch--salty, savory, and perfectly complemented by the tangy vinaigrette. The bread was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and held up beautifully to all that filling. At $18.99 for a full or $11.99 for a half, it's worth every penny for the quality and the experience. Rocky's itself is a no-frills, old-school spot that's all about the food--and they deliver big time. If you're looking for a sandwich that's as authentic as it gets, you need to try The T. Yelp
These guys make incredible sandwiches. I keep meaning to take a picture of my food but it never lasts that long. They're friendly, great comms catering or just having a quick breakfast, very impressed. I am visibly upset right now because the food is gone, I ate it. Please try the Turnpike, or the Fat Vito sandwich.

Yelp
I had the pastrami and it was absolutely fantastic. It's a cute little deli, the baseball memorabilia was a great touch and the staff were friendly and welcoming. I will definitely be going back to try some of their other sandwiches. Highly recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is a close as one can get to an authentic NY deli in Savannah. Love the menu items inspired by the iconic Sopranos series. I found both sandwiches I've tried to be quite good. It may just be the cost of everything seems to have gone up these days but the menu items seemed to be quite pricey. Despite that this place is a fan favorite with many Savannah folk - I've never seen this place not packed. Get yourself a veal parm and "fugget-about-it!"
google avatar

Yelp
Sandwich was so good it made me cry a little. I had the number 9- prosciutto and egg plant, never had those two things together and now it's my new favorite.

Yelp
This place is exactly what I've been looking for since moving to Savannah. As someone from the north east, it's been hard to find a place that does quality Italian subs. Although the prices are a little high for subs, I'll say the the ingredients and quality is amazing. I got the thanksgiving special, and I'm so sad it's not a regular item. I used to order thanksgiving subs from deangelo's and my neighborhood subshops back when I lived in Boston, and this was exactly what I needed. So good. The subs are huge! So I had two portions. My boyfriend got the T, and he was so happy. Literally everything about our meals were great. There was some confusion with me trying to order though. Online, it said the thanksgiving special was all week- but it wasn't available on the Friday I called. I ordered on Saturday, but there seemed to be some confusion with what the sub actually was and when I could order it (after 11am). Despite that, this place is legit. No other sub shop in Savannah compares. This is the ONLY place to get Italian subs
google avatar

James E.

Yelp
Great service even when there is a long line. Best subs in the Savannah area hands down. They even have a small deli and frozen crab and lobster raviolis that fuck. This place is a must try.

Tom T.

Yelp
The Food is delicious...and I mean everything is delicious... leave the gun and take the cannoli!!!!

Pamela W.

Yelp
the pastrami and corned beef sandwich was awesome, would have preferred thicker slices. The eggplant park was full of flavor but found it difficult to get the wax paper off to reheat later.

Yelp
I was looking for a place to grab lunch during my visit to Savannah. I am from NY originally. And someone recommended this place. From walking in the door to ordering to my first bite. It was amazing! Very friendly staff, sandwich was fresh and warm and full of flavor. I got the Ebbets Field (fried egg plant, prosciutto di Parma, herb ricotta and fresh mozerella). This sandwich may be one of the best I've had!! If you're in the area go check it out! I also love the setting and area, as there were plenty of options to sit down or grab a drink or purchase meals/authentic groceries. Worth it!!!

Ann B.

Yelp
Best place in Savannah for take out sandwiches or subs. Great bread and quality meats. Corned beef and pastrami made on site. Highly recommend
google avatar

Emily E.

Yelp
Good sandwiches and atmosphere. Staff was incredibly friendly and nice. They recommended us their personal favorites and walked us through their sourcing, all the way from NY! Our food came out pretty fast, even though the dining room was busy. I definitely will be going back to try other sandwiches. Cannoli was yummy, better than most I've had in Savannah!! They also offer togo boxes of mini cannolis for events/gatherings, which I think is super neat too
google avatar

Yelp
If your from NY living in Savannah and don't eat here are you even really from NY? The food is just like home they carry a lot of authentic Italian Items and omg the BEC is just like back home my personal fave is the Noah

Rick A.

Yelp
There is No better sandwich in Savannah Great bread...Super great meat Awesome shaved beef and dip

Yelp
All excellent: food service. Great decor of New York. The staff greets you with professionalism. Grazie.

Yelp
Great food The best Italian deli in Savannah Georgia with to go dishes and great connolly's

Yelp
Food was fantastic couldn't have asked for a better breakfast burrito. I even had to order a sandwich for lunch since the breakfast was so good.

Lexi S.

Yelp
The food is bloody amazing! I'm from the UK and have lived in Savannah for two years and am yet to find somewhere here which is super tasty. I find southern food really salty or over seasoned, the sandwiches here are none of that. I've been to NYC a few times and had sandwiches there, THIS is the same! Fat, juicy and banging!!! They're perfecto! We will be back for more. To top it off the customer service is great and I love all of the memorabilia on the walls.
google avatar

K R.

Yelp
It's simply the BEST Deli. Great service, and the most delicious sandwiches on the planet. I'm torn between telling everyone and keeping the secret. Based on the crowd, the secret is out! No pictures because we always devour our sandwiches before we can take pictures.

Yelp
Delicious new find! The 4 1/2 star rating, and discovering an unfamiliar spot, brought me here. You'll find this small, locally owned deli in the Sandfly area next door to Sandfly Family Dental. Today I ordered the half size sandwich, The Eddie. It was piled high with house made corned beef, Swiss cheese, spicy mustard and served on rye. This warm sandwich, with melty cheese and fresh rye, hit the spot! Yummy! I had a choice of sides to accompany - Cole slaw, Long Island Potato salad, Rotini Antipasto salad or chips with a pickle spear. The Long Island potato salad was tasty with a slight sweetness, a bit of a vinegar tang, a touch of bacon but was disappointingly void of the green onions on the description. Also, the pickle spear was not served with the sandwich. Be prepared to spend some time mulling over their menu of 15 signature sandwiches. The sandwiches range from $5.99 to $22.99 depending on half or whole. The $22.99 , The Big Shot, touts a pound of meat! They have plenty to choose from, as well as, several salad choices, a kids menu and about 4 desserts. Want breakfast? They have in house made bagels, breakfast sandwiches and an "ultimate breakfast burrito". Have them caterer your event as well: sandwich platters, appetizer platters, pastas, Classic italian dishes, salads, sides and desserts! Plenty to choose from at Rocky's NY Deli and Italian Catering! I'll return!

Yelp
Terrible business etiquette. I put in an order for 2 pounds of seafood salad for Christmas Eve. When I got home with the order I noticed that the container was not full. I decided to weigh the order because I paid 64$ for 2lbs of seafood salad and it visibly looked light. The receipt said 2lbs of seafood salad at 32$ a pound. Actual weight showed less than 1.25 pounds. I called the owner because I believed this was an honest mistake and that maybe one of the containers was accidentally missing from the order. The owner informed me that even though he charges $32 a pound, the actual weight may vary because he actually charges 64$ by quart volume and not by weight. I informed him that in either case I got taken advantage of, the quart wasn't full and I was missing 3/4 of a pound. He told me that this is how it goes, that I need to educate myself on how quart containers work, and that I was the only person that ever weighed his product. I am well versed in NY deli etiquette and typically you pay per pound for what you order. The product is put into a quart container and weighed. Sometimes you get more, sometimes less, but you always pay for what you get. Or there is a set price for a quart container which should be full. This deli confidently charges you for what you don't get, in this case I paid 64$ for 1.22lbs of seafood salad. As the owner said, this is not a mistake and what the customer should expect. The owner said he didn't have time to argue with me and I got refunded for the missing 1lb but the owners attitude shows that this was no mistake and more customers should be aware that they may be getting taken advantage of. Will never order from them again. Bad business etiquette.

Amy S.

Yelp
The food and portions are great. The service was not fast but that's because they cook as you order & they were busy. Highly recommend!

Yelp
I love this place ! I snagged , spinach raviolis, marinara, and whitefish spread to demolish at Sunday dinner. Service is always spot on and the food stellar!
google avatar

Annie D.

Yelp
One of best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had in Savannah. Fresh, hot and simply perfect.
google avatar

Dan G.

Yelp
I'm going to keep it short, sweet, and to the point. Rocky's of Savannah has the BEST - hands down - dog-gone breakfast burrito on the planet. Well.. at least in Savannah. The chipotle breakfast burrito made with scrambled eggs, shaved sirloin steak, american cheese, grilled onions, and potatoes is the best thing food wise I can find. Savannah takeout also helps with delivery. My work team orders these whenever we can. 5* all around - HIGHLY recommend. It is HUGE. And delicious.
google avatar

Mitchell L.

Yelp
The only reason it's not a 5 star rating is the lack of seating. Food was excellent and the wait time wasn't bad considering the line. Well worth the wait time!
google avatar

Louise G.

Yelp
So glad to have this place in town! Great sandwiches, cannoli and special items like pasta and canned goods from the northeast. Prompt, friendly service as well!
google avatar

Courtney F.

Yelp
THIS PLACE MAKES THE BEST SANDWICHES IN ALL THE LANDS! Seriously, we went here on a whim and we were MORE than impressed. I would eat here EVERY DAY if I could/lived in the area. First of all, great value for what you get. HUGE portions. Second, THEY ARE SO TASTY. They do not hold back on filling up their hoagies, and I appreciate that. Their sandwich combos are unmatched compared to anywhere I've ever been, they really know what they're doing. Keep in mind this is an east coast style shop, and the people working there are VERY east coast - they're nice, and get the job done, but don't expect southern hospitality here. It's been a month and I'm still dreaming of my food from here. TRY IT.
google avatar

Angel K.

Yelp
Just an add on to my earlier review of Rocky's. I forgot to mention they also offer frozen take home meals like ravioli, lasagna and other real Italian delicacies. The cannolis are amazing as well as other desserts. Service is always top notch too! Sometimes you might be lucky and find homemade meatballs! They also have house made mozzarella. They are always busy so if you want something special call ahead. They will do all they can to accommodate you.
google avatar

Courtney K.

Yelp
This little Italian spot is perfect for brunch or lunch. The ambiance is nice and makes you feel like you are in a real authentic Italian spot like it is. The staff is friendly and interacting with the customers. It makes you want to be a local and frequent customer. We got two of their top choice sandwiches, the original roast beef and the Vito spatafore. Both were delicious. They have a great little area to pick up Italian goods and great antipast selection as well. The cannoli was also a winner. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Randi B.

Yelp
The chicken cutlet alla vodka. *does Chef's kiss* IT WAS SO DELICIOUS!.... And filling. It is one of their specials right now for $14.99. Really good. It's basically a chicken Parmesan sandwich, and I got it with chips. I would definitely get this again.
google avatar

Dana C.

Yelp
Was a great breakfast sandwich. Would give more stars but bacon was skimpy and not the best. Eggs were great. Cannoli were amazing.
google avatar

Chris T.

Yelp
This place is the spot that reminds me of my trips to a New York Deli. When you walk in, you're immediately greeted by the staff regardless of how busy they get. All of them work together as a team to get your food out asap. With that being said, you should definitely order ahead if you're working and want your lunch to be something special. Everything; from the Eli manning autographed football, to the photos of their heritage on the walls, even the blue disposable coffee cups; is ALL New York. I've had both their breakfast and lunch items: bagel with cream cheese and salmon was fresh, bacon egg and cheese bagel was better than my fathers (sorry dad), and their Philly? Get the medium if you just want to try it and the large if you're starving. This is the sub shop of sandfly.

Thomas W.

Yelp
Pat's king of steaks has been dethroned. Rocky's is the new king. The Southpaw was tops. Tender well seasoned beef and cheese in every bite.

Yelp
Nice sandwich's good loyal staff very welcome informed workers quick paced good pastrami and corned beef sandwich everyday five stars
