Google
Great food, friendly staff, and decent prices in the heart of Warren. 5 all the way and a coffee milk. Chef's kiss!

Jeff C

Google
Everything a downtown diner should be. Great food, fantastic weiners (get the works), and excellent wait staff. Can't come to Warren without stopping to see Rod.

Jack Griffin

Google
Great spot! Great people! Great food.. I have had the hot dogs.. many many many times, as well most breakfast items, and Addy’s Special. Great diner!

Daniel Hansen

Google
"It's never too early for a hot weiner with the works" Really enjoyed our breakfast here including the hot weiner and breakfast sandwich bolo

Ragi Pillai

Google
Visited Rod’s Grille to just try their iconic ‘All The Way’ Hot Weiners & the coffee milk! We also tried their freshly fried crispy sweet potato fries. One of the must try when you are in Rhode Island!! 😍👍👍

Ken Boostrom

Google
Located in downtown Warren (right off Rt 114). A classic breakfast and hot wiener joint. And the wieners are the best. The typical order is four wieners! Clean and kind of funky - a must for local inexpensive food.

Google
Great family great waitresses great service can't beat it for this area

Yelp
I'm overdue for not posting here about Rod's previously, considering I have been eating here for twenty years or so. Food is fresh and delicious. I usually struggle to decide between three wieners with the works or a cheeseburger. Usually have a side of fries and a soda, too. You can't go wrong in any case. Service is quick and friendly, atmosphere is like a diner from the 1970s, which people "of a certain age" will appreciate.

Navya V.

Yelp
A cute diner that is perfect for a lazy Sunday breakfast. It is homey and has tables for groups and stools at an open kitchen for single diners. The homefries were tasty and the chorico added a salty bite.

Nikki S.

Yelp
I've been a couple of times now to get the famous hot dogs. Both times I've gone, it's been pretty busy. I got 3 hot dogs with ketchup & onions, and they were super. I tried it with "the works" the first time, and found it to be a little too salty for me but still tasted great. My boyfriend and I split a small cheese fry. We enjoy coming here when we're craving hot dogs ! I'd like to expand and try some other items - like their Turkey burger or even regular burgers next time we go. Again, it can be busy !!! Parking is limited. Know before you go

Yelp
Went to Rod's Grill for the first time with my wife, parking is in a side street could be tight. walked in it was like an old-school place which I like sat down. Waitress was friendly. We got the wieners which is a Rhode Island thing with the works. Fries were hot. We ended up getting water, Price was reasonable overall great place.

Maddie F.

Yelp
So so good! The food is amazing and the workers are just the sweetest. Very clean and even though the restaurant isn't the biggest you'll always be able to find a seat. The food never takes long either!

M. B.

Yelp
An authentic diner with Nirvana playing on the radio on a Saturday morning is my type of place. I happened upon Rod's before going to walk around on Main Street. It's cute, homey, and clean inside. The type of place where everyone knows everyone. My husband and I ordered a regular breakfast, and it was very good. We especially liked the blueberry muffin and raisin bread. Service was good as well. We will be back!

Foodie R.

Yelp
It's been 10 year since I last had Rods Grill and I can say it has not changed amazing dinner and the best wieners around.

Mike D.

Yelp
Man, I never really go out for wieners but this was by far the best ones I've had. My girl friend showed me this place, the meat sauce is delicious... I got two and then got another one excellent! Great grilled cheese too!

Just T.

Yelp
Excellent food and prices one Weiner is only 3 dollars while if you were to go somewhere else it'd be 10 dollars for one hotdog.

Tim W.

Yelp
Classic hot wieners and friendly staff in a classic breakfast / lunch spot. Takeout was quick and efficient.

Ryan K.

Yelp
I grew up eating weiners in Woonsocket from New York Lunch. While they are amazing... Rod's Grille has shown me something better. I know it's just weiners, but theirs just seems to be just that much better. The place is very clean and I loved the onion rings! Glad I was able to try Rod's.

Joe C.

Yelp
A Town Staple - Not Cheap Weiners w/ the works, just meat sauce, or an Addie special. It's all good. Add onion rings to make it even better. A bit overpriced priced, not as cheap as it used to be. If weiners aren't your thing they have other things that are great too, including a steak and cheese. Love the service, they know what they are doing and do it right. They aren't going to hover over you and be super flowery, but they are a weiner place. Love the atmosphere for a quick lunch. Plus you can play keno while you eat. Tip: Bring Cash Thanks

TJ S.

Yelp
Always friendly and attentive staff, plus very affordable foods here. Nothing fancy but consistently good affordable goods. My kids and I have been coming here for years and never once walked out of here disappointed.

April P.

Yelp
I love that they FINALLY take cards. So many years being cash only killed me. The burgers are greasy and scrumptious. The fry portions are huge. Their wieners?! Fantastic. I don't even want to know the recipe I'd the meat sauce because I'd never be able to duplicate it. They are VERY busy usually with a line out of the door. Do not let that deter you!! The simplicity of the food makes it taste amazing!!! It's not on the list of diet food places but if you have a hankering, it's well worth going. Who knows, you might not have to wait in line if you time it right.

Mitch K.

Yelp
I had a gift certificate burning a hole in my pocket for a good two years so I finally made the trek for some breakfast/lunch. I had a chorico omelette with seasoned home fries and a grilled bolo. My wife had three weiners "all the way" which means mustard, onions, and meat sauce. The food was good but their air conditioning couldn't keep up and after 20mins in the place I was sweatin' like Richard Simmons used to sweat to the oldies. My wife commented that the weiners were good, but they weren't any better than places closer to us like Eats in Seekonk. I used the bathroom and it was a million degrees in there, yikes! So what's the bottom line? Food was good, service was friendly, worth your while if you're in the area but no need to make a special trip.

Thomas ..

Yelp
Best Rhode Island hot weiners in the state. Hands down, no competition. Addys Burger (bacon cheeseburger on Portuguese bolo) is one of my favorites as well. Wash em' down with a cold coffee milk and life is good. Good, friendly service and charming atmosphere. Overall - 4.5 Hot Weiners - 4.8 Addys Burger - 4.6 French Fries - 3.0 Onion Rings - 3.0

Jackson K.

Yelp
Don't go there for a salad, unless you are a dieting rabbit. I finally made the trek for some breakfast/lunch. Got two hot weiners with the works. Above-average greasy spoon with excellent wieners. The prices have definitely gone up way too much and the quality has gone down. I had to head into Barrington this morning and needed to grab breakfast. Chourico hash and home fries from the grill. Will definitely come again for the famous coffee and t shirt. You never know if they'll be open. Today I came across Rod's Grill by luck. My wife had three weiners "all the way" which means mustard, onions, and meat sauce. My kids and I have been coming here for years and never once walked out of here disappointed. The food is ordinary. My grandmother lived a block away from Rod's Grille on Washington St. Ordered just a simple bolo breakfast sandwich. Has been here as long as I can remember. Graying to be sure, but still here! Wonderful!

Bruce D.

Yelp
My grandmother lived a block away from Rod's Grille on Washington St. When I was a kid I'd go over to her house and mow the lawn and work in her garden. When it was lunch time, she would give me two dollars to get us lunch at Rods. Back in the day, 2 bucks got you six wieners (all the way) an order of fries and a coffee milk. The wieners come wrapped in two's in waxed paper, and if the bottom of the brown paper bag isn't a little greasy by the time you get them home, then there's something wrong. Years later, my grandmother Ruthie and her downstairs tenant Dorothy (Dot) would still walk up the street to Rod's for coffee and a muffin. The last time I visited RI I went there for lunch and the food was just as good as I remembered. Seriously, the hot wieners at Rod's Grille are the best!

marybeth m.

Yelp
Awesome hot weiners and coffee milk as always! Miss my hometown grill everyone I visit I get at least 6 all the way !! Friendly staff.

Brad P.

Yelp
Highly recommended. Friendly service, great food, and a local institution. Especially good for breakfast. Chourico hash and home fries from the grill are outstanding.

Robert Y.

Yelp
I had to head into Barrington this morning and need to grab breakfast. Didn't want to go to a franchised place, so hopped on yelp and found exactly what I was looking for. An old fashion small business shop. Good coffee and friendly with a smile service (Nicole). Order just a simple bolo breakfast sandwich. It was as perfect as you can get. I usually hold on the cheese, but I forgot this time. Glad I did, it accented the sandwich just right. The egg was cooked perfectly, jelled just a little for perfect moisture. (Am I using perfect too much, oh well) I think parking could be a challenge. They do have a few spots behind the shop, but .... shhh..... don't let that get around. Let's keep it to ourselves. I'll be back.

Mark H.

Yelp
Really impressed with this place, especially the breakfast potatoes and Bolos. Couldn't help but order a nice afternoon hot dog and was helped by a sweet Latina girl named Meghito who was very helpful and pretty and had a good smile. Will definitely come again for the famous coffee and t shirt.

Shannah M.

Yelp
Decent hot dogs. Love the atmosphere and friendly staff. It's a cute little lunch date place!

Amuse B.

Yelp
Above-average greasy spoon with excellent wieners, bolo breakfast sandwiches, home fries and really friendly service. They have both fried and grilled homefries, and the grilled ones are lathered in a delicious rosemary mix.. The best!

Jorge C.

Yelp
Ahhhhhh Rod's! After seeing family, Rod's is always one of my first stops when I return home. The counter service is always friendly and quick. Prices are reasonable, and the burger.... Yes, I said the burger. While people normally race about the wiener, it's never been my thing. That being said, Rod's has, and always has had one of my all time favorite burgers. Pair it with some perfectly salted fries and a fountain Coca-Cola and it's easy to see why I stop in every time I venture back to Warren.

Louis W.

Yelp
Some of the best wieners around! You've never had a wiener, until you've gone to Rod's. Order your dog all the way, it's the best. The fries aren't bad either. Some of the friendliest staff around. Would definitely recommend this place to a friend.

Mary L.

Yelp
Cheap eats, breakfast and grill- hot dogs, burgers, grilled chicken. free refills on the fountain drinks. The staff is nice once you get to know them, but don't expect them to refil your drink without your having to wave them over a couple of times. Cash only. Lots of townies, very casual, bar seating.

Chris S.

Yelp
Ive been going to Rods since i was young,it was a every saturday lunch with the boys..wieners were cheap and great(4 with the works please)...the addys burger and chicken deluxe sandwich were also a favorite..I have to say in the last 5-10 years the prices have defiantly gone up way too much and the quality has gone down...the best thing going now is free refills...if i do go which is maybe once a year get ready to spend a quick 20 for a non-flavorful burger,2 dogs with a bland sauce and a drink(but you do get free refills)..the service is good and they all have been there since i remember

Liana D.

Yelp
Stopped here on Wed (6/3) while spending the day w/my girls, celebrating my b-day. We noticed the pretty flowers outside and looked like outdoor dining, so we stopped and we're pleasantly surprised! From the owner Addy, husband Rod and staff, food was great, outdoor seating wonderful but converstation with Addy was Priceless! Will definitely be back w/friends and family, especially since we aren't able to enjoy dining in Massachusetts yet. Thanks for a wonderful viist!

Coral D.

Yelp
Ive been coming to rods my whole life. it is a local place that everybody has to go to when they are visiting warren. but for the prices..its really not worth it anymore. you get a small cheeseburger for like 3.99. thats not even fries. the winers are close to 2.50 a piece..which i think is a little pricey for a hotdog. but its mostly for people who are visiting home and want to remember good times. i come here like twice a year tops and im always like wow why dont i come here more..too expensive for the little quality food you get

Reginald P.

Yelp
Excellent food and service. Real old school diner type feeling. The Rhode Island Wieners are UNREAL!! I would eat lunch here every day if I was from the area. Stop in and you will not regret it!!! The meat sauce they use makes the wiener, try it before you knock it. Would drive miles for this place.

Paul F.

Yelp
Classic Rhode island diner fare, complete with bolos and coffee milk. A family favorite.

Elena O.

Yelp
Rod's Grille is a cute little diner. They are cheap and have their famous the "works" weniers, burgers and many sandwich options. I love this place personally for the nice people and great food, you can see them even make your food right in front of you. They also have Keno which you can play while eating. Overall a very nice place I would recommend to anyone in the area!!

David B.

Yelp
Rod's Grille on Washington St in Warren has the ultimate wieners...all the way of course. You cannot beat the Combination of 3 or 4 all the way, fries and a coffee milk. This place is simply the BEST.

Aaron R.

Yelp
My first time coming here. Got two hot weiners with the works. The weiners are a little smaller than the hebrew national hot dogs i am used to, but very tasty and a nice snap. And the toppings were fresh and yummy. Very fast service which is key at weekday lunch time. Tough street parking but overall i would recommend it

Mark T.

Yelp
This family-owned Warren institution is celebrating their 60th anniversary, and I have been coming here for at least 50 of those years. Known mostly for hot weiners, this spoon offers a full breakfast and lunch menu. I don't check in as much as I used to, so during a recent visit I was surprised by unfamiliar faces behind the counter. Has Rod's been sold, I wondered? I ordered "three all the way" with a coffee milk, the official/unofficial state of Rhode Island meal. As great as always! During checkout, I noticed some movement in the back kitchen, and a two step shuffle to the left revealed a familiar face who has been here as long as I can remember. Graying to be sure, but still here!. Wonderful! Know that they close at 6 PM, late night is out, so enjoy early! Looking forward to a 70th year and beyond! LONG LIVE ROD'S!!!

Mark S.

Yelp
Greasy wiener joint. Wieners are great and so are the burgers. Try the Addy's burger - cheeseburger on a Portuguese sweet roll, banana peppers, lettuce and tomato. Staff is very surly. I've been going here for years and every time I go in it's like they've never seen me before. Gotta love RI.

Tori N.

Yelp
Went in for the first time this afternoon, tried the grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious! Can't wait to go back and try something else! The workers were very friendly and welcoming. Placed my order with Robin, she was delightful(:

Perry J.

Yelp
I've eaten here a half-dozen times and was never impressed. It's a typical diner with inexpensive food. Despite that, I had a couple items that I thought were over-priced. The local paper has done several short articles about Rod's as if Rod's were some kind of local institution. After a while I figured out that those were fluff pieces (i.e., paid for by Rod's). This place is no institution, and the food is ordinary. One more thing: they don't close at the same time every day, so if you go in the late afternoon, you never know if they'll be open. I've never figured out why they do that.

Meg M.

Yelp
I am a big Rod's fan. This place is dirt, I mean dirt, cheap. Fast service and good greasy fare. Love the weiners, I get them all the way with extra mustard. Really good little burgers here as well, they are small in size which I like. Good crisp fries which you have to order ala carte. Rod's has been around for a long time ,somewhere around 50 years, and is still very busy and clean, that tells you a lot about a place. Strange hours so check ahead. Definately give Rods a try for a quick lunch in Warren.

Chris J.

Yelp
With Warrens hipsterization and gentrification still on the march, it is nice to see that Rods Grille has not been consumed just yet. Great wieners and fries and great breakfast. Good service and prices as well. The East Bay has very few wiener joints (this might be the only one I know of) and it is a good one.

Catherine T.

Yelp
This is a Rhode Island landmark with the best hot dogs ever and the most amazing egg salad. Can't wait to go back when I go home!

Eric S.

Yelp
I moved to Rhode Island 3 years ago, and since that time I've been on a mission to find a half-way decent chili dog. After trying dogs at about 30 places I eventually gave up. I was shocked that no place in Rhode Island could even make a moderately tasty dog. But today I came across Rod's Grill by luck (there was no parking on Main St. in Warren, so I parked on the side street that Rod's is on). It was lunch time so I figured I'd give them a try, and I'm glad that I did. For the first time in three years, I have actually had a good chili sauce. It wasn't watery like so many other places in Rhode Island. Also, it looked and tasted like real beef, unlike the mystery meat that most hot dog places in Rhode Island use. Sadly the quality of the dog was sub-par, but the sauce more than made up for that. I was also glad that they brew their own iced tea (which is something that I've been seeing at more and more restaurants lately). All in all, I will definitely be back again, though I don't know if I will ever try anything else on the menu.

Ed A.

Yelp
Best NY System in RI several times... Absolute best in Easy Bay Area of the State... Clean, great service, the real deal. Open for breakfast as well. Highly recommended from a frequent flyer!!

Mallory S.

Yelp
Rods makes THE BEST WIENERS EVER! But everything there is delicious...chicken sandwich or an addys burger! No matter what you order you can't go wrong! I've been coming here my whole life and fully intend to continue. PLUS THEY HAVE KENO :)

Meghan H.

Yelp
Rod's is always a landmark stop for me when I come back to Rhody to visit family!! Nothing like it anywhere...! 3 all the way is always my order! Always awesome!! I used to take my Mom here as it would be one of the things she would crave when she got her appetite back after her chemo treatments...! It's the best!! All the way from Colorado to Washington St in Warren, RI!

Daniel M.

Yelp
Awesome wieners and meat sauce what's Rhode Island without coffee milk and Rods Gaggas

Lori G.

Yelp
By far, the BEST Weiners at Rods. I've been going there for years. My family loves it too. They even have take out. Family owned business. Friendly staff. Highly suggest!!

Steven C.

Yelp
I've been going to rods for 35 years my neighbors and friends all think rods has the best wieners and I agree but not a fan of the thin hamburgers their breakfast is decent but their whole menu is over priced but by far the best wieners in New England. Three stars for everything else but the wieners deserve 5 stars.
