"RP Social changes up its cocktail menu every season and has been mixing up the fall drinks all month. Try the Mexcapple — baked apple-infused El Buel Mezcal, Hardin’s Family Farm apple cider, lemon, soda — or, on a chilly evening, the Fig NewToddy, made with bourbon, fig grape liqueur, and hot water and served with a Fig Newton. Creative and tasty array of drinks that vary by season; the winter cocktails list was a great range of more subtle fruit flavors (coconut washed mezcal, dragon fruit) that were still evocative of warmer climes alongside wintery frozen drinks. I only sat outside in the heated enclosure but it was perfect for the weather and well furnished. The inside looked very riotous and Bohemian in terms of designs and I look forward to checking it out next time. Our server Drew was attentive, helpful, and fun. They were able to offer suggestions or confirm good drink choices and were very personable when with the businesses of a Friday night. Great price points as well; the fancier cocktails were in the $15-18 range but a simple Old fashioned was only $11

Absolutely love the🍹 drinks 🍸 The service is top notch, everyone is friendly & the atmosphere is very welcoming. If you're looking for a chill night out with good company this is probably your place 😉 This evening we chose the Tropical Twist, Always Greener, Sunny Daze & Cupid's Bow. We weren't disappointed by a single choice & I'd actually suggest trying any of the four. Another highly recommended drink (not pictured) would be the Aviation 🤟🏻

Always have a great time here and they are super nice. Definitely pricey but the taste makes up for it. Nice that we can bring our own food and there’s games inside.

Always love going here for a drink or two. New to the area myself, but it’s great. The Alchemist is a very strong but good drink. Humble Pie is easily my new favorite.

We had delicious drinks in this welcoming and fun space. Fun conversations with the waitress and people around us. Great vibes!

This used to be our old hang out when we lived in Rogers Park. The atmosphere is awesome. It’s busier than before, but the owner and the bartenders are still so friendly. They have awesome cocktails drinks. We tried the hot rum seasonal drink and a couple of beers. Totally a place to go to check out in Rogers Park!!

Baby it's cold outside... Stopped in for a warm up at Rogers Park Social outdoor cafe. Enjoy the great weather Street side, along warmers and hot drinks. Tried the Hot spiced cider +whiskey and Hot chocolate with Peanut Butter 20/20. Great service, drinks poured with pride. Inviting, friendly and helpful staff. Great place to cozy up.

Yelp
The first time I was here was to celebrate the birthday of two good friends back in 2020. It was an amazing time and The Queen and I had a great time. The Doctor had been under the weather and did not go with us. I kept telling him we needed to go so he could experience it as well, but COVID went into full swing, and we never made it. This year we made it over there and during an absolutely day. I had no idea that they had an outdoor area, which was just adorable! The last time I was there, they had four four bottles of sparkling wines. This visit I saw that there were six and I loved it. This time I got a Gouguenheim Sparkling Malbec Sparkling Rosé from Tupungato, Mendoza. Very interesting choice and I enjoyed it very much. That was my first experience with a Malbec, and I loved it. The Queen got a Moscato because she loves the sweet drinks (me not so much). There are also non-alcoholic beers for folks that are either watching the diets or just want a drink without the alcohol. And of course, those lovely cocktails if you are into those. Our server was also the bartender but was on point taking care of both areas. Definitely was all around pleasant and fun to talk to. And we discovered that this place does cocktail and drinks delivery! So, if you are not feeling like venturing out, order in. The physical space itself is warm and inviting, although on the small side. But man I will be back here when the weather is nicer because that outdoor area is so nice!

Yelp
If you're in Rogers Park... chances are you know Rogers Park Social. This beloved hangout and bar is a true social center in this neighborhood- one that keeps up with atmosphere, food, and friendly vibes. Check out the bloody mary bar. I don't drink- and this was still super fun. Their variety of mixes, toppings, and accompaniments make it a memorable and DELICIOUS experience. Not to mention their very sweet and familiar bartenders, and the outdoor covered patio that feels like a colorful lounge in some exotic, dense city of the renIssance, Rogers Park Social is a great spot. Don't forget to bring some takeout with you, to go with your delicious drinks.

Yelp
Fun eclectic vibe with good drinks. It's a great late night spot in a unique and off the grid location

Yelp
We wandered in for a late night drink and I was so pleased we did. We then continued to wander in almost every night we were in town. Bartenders, Drew & Dustin, took such great care of anticipating what we would enjoy with just a couple quick questions. We tried quite a few different cocktails and while most were extremely good, there was one I didn't love. They tweaked it knowing what I had liked so far and it turned into a favorite! After one night, we were recognized and treated like regulars. The Social is clean. The other guests were all so friendly too. We had such fun interactions during every visit! This is not a dive bar, but rather a destination for some quality and thoughtful cocktails or beer. They have a really nice outdoor seating area that was so welcoming with cozy spots to sit and engage in conversation. This is a can't miss stop if you're in the area!

Yelp
Rogers Park Social is a hidden gem in Chicago! The drinks were tasty and not overly iced. Artwork and ambiance are really cool. They were open late when we were looking for a place to relax after a busy day in Chicago. Bartenders were attentive and knowledgeable about the Rogers Park neighborhood. We will visit again!

Yelp
I came here for a graduation party recently. It was a bit tricky to find. But they have outdoor seating, a nice bar area, and a few places to sit. It kind of reminds me of Sparrow in Old Town with that old fashioned feel. The bar tender was so nice and they have a great selection of tasty cocktails. I had The Socialite, which was so good! This one is my favorite. The other cocktail I had was the Girl in Red. It was good, but had some heat. Overall, I really enjoyed coming here. I wish I lived closer. Otherwise, I would be a frequent customer.

Yelp
I took away one star only because they don't have food. They do however recommend places nearby for food which you can bring back to eat. Love the neighborhood vibe and everyone in there was super friendly. I actually went out for food and left my coat there. When I returned the lady who was watching it was gone and so was my coat. The guys from the bar knew her and contacted her. She dropped off my coat with a $20 apology in the pocket. I've lived in RP for over 50 years and this is why I love it!

Yelp
I really liked this bar! The bartender is awesome! He's such an artist! Makes amazing drinks! They don't have a kitchen but you can have food delivered there. They also give to go drinks! It's inclusive. Gender neutral bathrooms. Can't wait to go back to this neighborhood gem. Parking was decent.

Rachel K.

Yelp
They always have great seasonal drinks! A nice patio out front to enjoy cocktails on.

Yelp
Great place to get an amazing cocktail. The vibe is always right. It does get a bit crowded on the weekends so go early.
google avatar

Yelp
Great drinks! Great happy hour! Great ambiance! You can bring your own snacks, too. I've never thought the bar tenders were very nice but the other aspects make up for it.

Yelp
A great slice of rogers park. Hands down the best bar in the neighborhood. Service is friendly and great to chat with. Cocktails and beer are curated. You can tell the owners and staff care greatly about the business and community

Yelp
Mildly off putting evening. Decided to stop in for a drink with roommate. Talked to host, made sure we could sit at bar. Sat down. Not too busy inside but aware that bartenders were making drinks for orders. Waited seated at bar for almost ten minutes. No acknowledgement by bar staff, no order taken. Ok, maybe too busy? Couple comes in sits down next to us, gets greeted immediately, and drink order taken within a minute. Intentional? I certainly hope not. Decided to walk out as our money wasn't worth the service. Going to give another chance as this is our local bar and we both try to give them our business. Perhaps a fluke. Sad though, and hoping it doesn't happen again.

Yelp
A Rogers Park institution! This is where you come to feel like a fabulous local. Drinks are on point and yes you will make friends here. Everyone is welcome from every identity (including babies, kids, and dogs). They have a great patio if you're lucky enough to snag a seat, but also bar seating and tables inside. They don't have a kitchen, but often food trucks will be parked nearby, and you're also encouraged to order something local for delivery. They do offer a few snacky items like bags of fancy popcorn or a charcuterie board. If you're looking for a fun place to go for drinks in the far north side, this is it.

Yelp
This was my favorite bar when I was in Chicago. I lived there for 5 years within walking distance of Rogers Park Social (RPS) and became a regular. There are seasonal cocktails that are different every year, along with a list of fan favorites that are available at all times. Very LGBTQ friendly with gender-neutral bathrooms. I've come here on dates, with friends, or by myself with a good book. Every time I had excellent service with amazing drinks. The hardest part of leaving Chicago was leaving RPS.

Susan K.

Yelp
I'm been coming here for at least three + years now and keep coming back because of the staff. All of the bar tenders are knowledgeable, personable, and friendly. Ashley-- ask her for a dealer's choice cocktail. Amazing!!!! One after another.
google avatar

Gema S.

Yelp
I regularly come to this bar because they honestly have the best bartenders with the best service. The drinks are worth it everytime, I would recommend the mojito and Paloma! They play good music and are usually pretty packed on the weekends, so the earlier the better chance of a seat.
google avatar

Betsy W.

Yelp
Cozy, comfortable, and tasty neighborhood spot. Friendly service and good vibes. I'll be back.

Yelp
My first time here. Great vibe. Friendly bar tenders. I ordered deep fried pickles and home made chili... really good! I will be back with friends!

Deb F.

Yelp
Awesome service! Great atmosphere! Reasonable prices! Who could ask for anything more. I wish I lived closer so I could go back more often! Not much parking, but that's to be expected given the neighborhood. Chicago needs more places like this!

Chris B.

Yelp
Came in a couple days ago with a friend, it was his first time there and wanted to show him the "cool neighborhood bar". Had a great time all thanks to our bartenders John and Dustin. These two were great - excellent cocktails, funny and all around amazing guys. Only issue during the night was some other guy with a mullet that worked there, never got his name but was surprised to learn he was a shift manager! He was so, so incredibly rude to not only his co workers, openly belittling them in front of guests multiple times, but also yelling at guests and giving everyone A LOT of attitude! Complete and utter jerk should not be in a customer-facing or managerial role. Otherwise, if you look past him which is easy given his stature, it was a great experience due to the other staff. Has been and will always be a favorite local spot.

Charles S.

Yelp
Great place with great people. Truly a Rogers Park treasure, and very intentional as to supporting the larger community here. Try it, you'll like it!

Michael P.

Yelp
Came here on a busy Thurs nite, with the place buzzing with holiday cheer. Only seats were at the bar, where we immediately bonded with our personal mixologist Drew. He was making 4 different cocktails for our party, while never missing a beat with the drinks or our conversation. All the classics were done with professional care, and expertly crafted. Looking forward to going back.

Yelp
I've enjoyed my visits to RPS. When I've been in there, there wasn't loud music. (In fact, I think there was NO music). This is nice because you can actually talk. Also, something I very much appreciate is that not all of the tap beers are IPAs. Sure, there are a handful that I like (see Hailstorm Brewing), but sometimes you want something sessionable and yummy. Last weekend when I was there, they had Surly Bender-- usually if there is Bender, it's their Coffee Bender, which is yummo, sure, but not necessarily what you want at 10 p.m. For a great community hangout, you can't go wrong with RPS. (You might have to dodge an annoying hipster or two, but you can handle that).
google avatar

Kyle D.

Yelp
Overall: Great vibes and great drinks, RPS is a great cozy spot for some classy but affordable drinks. The good: As soon as we walked in the atmosphere is palpable...and in a good way. The lighting is moody and unique, from the cozy couches to the wall of lit taps in the back. Great little decor all over the place too. The drinks are unique and classy but not overpriced. Lots of unique cocktail options, and a decent amount of beers too. The not-so-good: The barkeeps were noticeably slow after the drinks are ordered. The music was odd at times, whether it was cut off randomly, too loud, or did a 180 tonally. Atmosphere: 10/10 Service: 8/10

Yelp
Best cocktails of my life!! I love the care that put into every cocktail. Top shelf in service and expertise!

Yelp
Ashley is so cool! She really made our experience like no other! She's absolutely sublime. And I love her SPACE BUNS! Ashley is absolutely the best and I just wish I had enough booze in me to hit on her. Oh wait, hold on.... Kyle is ok. And

Yelp
Great drinks! Nothing creates a sublime experience like Hearing Bratmobile while sipping an Old Style. I don't know what a space bun is but I've seen some nice ones on Saturdays or Sundays. Them

Yelp
I enjoyed coming here. Came here for a HRC event. The place is narrow but they have plenty of seats so bring friends! They also have a room that can accommodate a larger group. The service was great. People were really nice and respectful. They were also quick on helping you out which I love. The drinks were good. I tried this strawberry milkshake IPA. It sounded strange but it was really good. Definitely recommend that one. I would come back here again. It's a good hang out

Yelp
I have been coming to this place for the past 6 years since I moved to RP. I adore this little bar. Always delicious beverages and the food vendors they work with are delicious. Friendly staff, neat décor, and a chill atmosphere. I'm so happy this is clearly a beloved neighborhood hang out spot.
google avatar

LaVie L.

Yelp
Very laid back cozy bar. Like the couches idea. Went here on a chilly Friday evening around 6pm. There were but 2 chairs and a couch left to sit. It was pleasantly full but not overcrowded. They had a food truck out front which was a nice option although they do have a cheese and crackers tray if you need to nibble on something. We enjoyed a lions den and a Manhattan. I'd have to say that was one niiiice Manhattan! This place is very dog friendly and overall a very nice neighborhoody feel without being a dive bar.

Yelp
Kyle and Ashley's made our experience. It would not have been the same without her energy, creativity, and SPACE BUNS. A truly incredible person with a presence like no other. Thank you Kyle and Ashley!! My

Yelp
I think this is gonna be my new go to bar. Love the vibe during the winter right now. Bartenders are sweet. Music is on point. Cocktails on deck. Excited to see how the summer is with them!

Ed O.

Yelp
Came here just to check things out. Found wonderful and imaginative cocktails. Very nice employees. And they set up food for patrons as a very nice bonus. Good bars do things like that to keep customers there and keep them happy.

Yelp
I almost hate to rate this place 5 stars because it's my neighborhood lounge and it's busy enough without me hyping it up. But I cannot tell a lie! I love the seasonal cocktails. Every few months they revamp the menu. I try to make it a point of trying most if not all the seasonal cocktails, so I keep coming back! The bartenders are starting to recognize me, which is ok, because they're really nice. Some of them know my name, oh boy. They have honestly one of if not the singular best margarita I've ever had. Forget about those frozen birdbaths you had in college, forget about bottled mix (yuck!), forget everything else going on in your life after three of these margaritas! Fresh squeezed juice in every drink. I love the floating inside-out lime with the orange liqueur floating in it. Really hits the spot. Last thing I wanna say is what they do for the price here is phenomenal. I hate going to a nice cocktail lounge and seeing drinks are $15 a piece. I have expensive taste, but a humble paycheck. At Rogers Park Social you get thoughtful, curated craft cocktails, most of which are $10. That's a fair price! I live in the neighborhood, this place is a brief walk from my apartment. I haunt this place like Moaning Myrtle! Also this place is dog friendly and last time I was there, there were more dogs than people I feel like and I felt really weird, like I missed a memo or something, but dog people are into that kind of thing, so you do you, but don't let your dog jump all over me please.
google avatar

Alex V.

Yelp
Best cocktail bar in Chicago. Period. Staff are incredible and rotating menu of seasonal cocktails is the best around.
google avatar

Brad A.

Yelp
Great little neighborhood bar to catch up with friends. Ambiance is nice indoors, good size patio with heaters and cocktails + service are solid.

Angel S.

Yelp
Drinks are great. Just getting a drink can be a bit of a wait. Don't blame the bartenders, since I know they have to make craft cocktails and that takes time. Aside from that, good hangout spot.

J F.

Yelp
I really liked this place, it's very cozy and has many options for what you can order-- it has very comfortable seating and different kinds of drinks like soda, beer, wine, and even stuff for kids like hot chocolate and lemonade. The service is very nice and there are games to play. There are also foods you could get like chips. I really like it here and I recommend it.
google avatar

Grace M.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my first visit to Rogers Park Social. At the moment they don't have indoor seating but created a cute little outdoor seating area. The service was great and the mixed drinks were really enjoyable. We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Chris N.

Yelp
Perfect hip cocktail spot right down from Lifeline Theater. Bustling, busy, festive, fun, and filled with fantastic craft cocktails. Pretty sure you can't go wrong, but the specialty is the Gin Tonica, which is made with speciality local gins and tonics (they vary every day, so ask if you're curious) and served Spanish style so you get a substantial array of fruit and some fresh mint in your drink - plus a sidecar of gummi worms in a shot glass! Atmosphere is delightful, with plenty of room to lounge in comfortable furniture (and less crowded space) across from the bar area if you prefer. Gender-neutral bathrooms are papered with wall-to-wall comics. Service was super friendly, kind, attentive, welcoming. We would be here every night if this was our neighborhood!
google avatar

Michael L.

Yelp
One of the best cocktail bars in the city. I should have reviewed this place years ago, but I'm happy to be back and see that it hasn't changed. It was the heart of my Rogers Park when I used to love here. Love this place.

Jeffrey G.

Yelp
Extremely disappointing first experience here last night. RPS has been on my list of places to visit for awhile now, and I finally made my way over. First drink I ordered was a vieux carre, which was fine. Very OK at best. But then I ordered an Old Pal up. Asked for it to be made with Sagamore Rye. I was delivered a sagamore rye shot DOWN, on the rocks. Confused, I called the server back over. He said he didn't know what an old pal was and assumed I just wanted rye whiskey. Super, super weird that he didn't ask me to clarify what I wanted and just guessed. He asked me what an Old Pal was and I told him it was a Negroni with Rye instead of gin. He took the whiskey back, and then served me what was clearly that whiskey re-used in a coupe glass mixed solely with Vermouth and no campari. I was beyond perplexed at this point after I tasted it. I wanted to send it back, but the group I was with asked me not to send it back or complain further so as not to embarrass them, so I didn't, but this was a super weird experience. Who reuses whiskey they serve wrong (which would have been diluted from the ice)? I assume this since he took the drink back rather than just leaving it like I am pretty sure most servers would have done. The same server also brought my 2 friends the wrong round of drinks while there, though they just ended up drinking them. This was all on a Tuesday night. They were not very busy at all either. While the space's vibe in charming, I definitely would NOT recommend this place based on my visit.
google avatar

Joanna O.

Yelp
The vibe, the bartenders, the drinks and patrons are why this is the best bar in Rogers Park. Never have I ever felt more at home than when I came here for the first time on Friday night. Run, don't walk to Rogers Park Social. Thank me later. Or, buy me a drink.

Mette S.

Yelp
Great place for cocktails! Love their trivia night on Wednesdays and wine specials. Also love that you can order food in.

Olive S.

Yelp
What a great community!! Bar tenders are really kind, the drinks are great and the vibes are RIGHT! :)
google avatar

Vasilis M.

Yelp
I've been going to RPS for years. I can't think of a better margarita in the city and the staff is always amazing. Every Friday throughout the pandemic my wife and I would get margaritas to go and for us that created a little bit of normalcy. Thank you for being an RP institution and continuing to serve great cocktails & great vibes.
google avatar

Kyle H.

Yelp
Rogers Park Social is a great casual place to get a good drink or craft beer in Rogers Park. The crowd is appropriately diverse since this is Rogers Park, so you'll fit right in. Step up to the bar, grab a menu and order one of their unique crafted cocktails or one of the many craft beers on tap. If they don't have what you want, just ask; they might be able to make your favorite drink. The decor is a mish mosh of mid-century thriftstore pieces that might remind you of a coffee shop; but it's very relaxed and comfortable. This place is on my radar when I'm in the neighborhood for theater, live music, dinner.
google avatar

Hiroshi A.

Yelp
RP IS THE BEST!!! This place continues to remain the best in the neighborhood! I love the creative drinks that they craft, the rotating selection of beers, and the place being what the name suggests - SOCIAL!! It really is a place to socialize with others. Friends and strangers alike! I go there with a close friend of mine and we always make friends. Even when I go there alone I still have a good time. Some become your bar friend through the extent of your stay while others become good neighborhood friends that you talk to and see outside the bar. Also a very diverse crowd. Really is a spitting image of the neighborhood. Gay, straight, lesbian, yellow, black, white... you name it and this place welcomes them all. Did I say dogs and children? Dogs are always welcome and children are often there accompanying their parents to supervise their drinking during non-peak hours in the early afternoon. Kids should not go there in the evening as it is an adult crowd and they will probably not even let you in, so best to do it early in the day if you want to grab drinks with other parents while your kids are present. Overall, great place. LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!!
