This is the best place I have ever gone to get my haircut. Jazz and Stormy (the barbers) are absolutely fantastic; both in their skills at the chair and in their personalities. They are a lot of fun to talk with while getting a fantastic haircut. The barbershop itself is a great place. The mood is definitely old school in the best ways. Records playing big bands, swing, and other era befitting the shop sounds. I was never one to care about my haircut (and especially beard cut which I never had before). I think it’s because I never loved a haircut I got before I went to see Stormy. Now I’m actually particular, have product, take care of my hair and feel much better about it. What’s extra helpful with that is that Stormy is very consistent. Something I really appreciate. Knowing how it’s gonna turn out is relieving and let’s me take off my glasses and just enjoy the time there. Stormy and Jazz have been very helpful with products to choose and what would be best for me. I’ve converted and haven’t looked back on how I used to treat my hair. I have no intention on going anywhere else for my barbering needs. I’d recommend you do the same.

Completely satisfied with the whole experience. I say experience because Rogue is not just about hair styling for Jazz, it's about building relationships. The haircut is better than expected. I am from SoCal and go to the the same, trustworthy barber for all my haircuts and beard care. So I was apprehensive about letting anyone else cut my hair and beard, but I have been in Grand Rapids long enough that it needed to be done. Jazz put my mind at ease with her very personable manner, and the suggestions that she made. I usually do not do reviews like this, but she did a superb job so she deserve the praise.

You know when you try to express your feelings but don't know where to start? That's how I feel about Rogue Haircut and Shave Parlour. Starting with Jazz. I've gotten my haircut from Jazz since 2013 when she was cutting hair in someone else's building always describing the way her barbershop was going to look, feel, smell like, decor, etc. Her passion for cutting hair was and is very evident and showed with each and every head of hair she artistically sculpted. Including my son's and mine. I am very particular about my hair. She has always been confident when cutting my hair but conscience of my preferences. The atmosphere of the barbershop is amazing. It brings you back to a simpler time. When everyone got along and lifted each other up. Every time I go there with my son who is 10, we are always able to engage in conversation with anyone in there like we've been friends for a while. Stormy has been an awesome addition to the barbershop. She is funny and engaging. Her clients are always smiling and leaving looking dapper. Thanks to Jazz and Stormy for giving guys like Ryder and I a place we can go to be reinvigorated in a way that is important to us. Our Hair!

I've been going to Rogue for almost 2 years now and I think its time to write a review. I usually see Stormy but both Jazz and Stormy are elite barbers that are very experienced in this field. They pay a lot of attention to detail and they will never rush your haircut even if they are behind schedule. There is not much more to say about that. Now, I want to address some of these hilarious 1-star reviews that I've read on this google page. If you haven't found out, they are by appointment only on a website called styleseat. It's on a first come first serve basis when you sign up for an appointment with either Jazz or Stormy. It can be difficult to get in but if you're intentional about checking the website or app every day, you can get an appointment. They are a very small business with only two barbers and a large clientele. I don't think that deserve a 1-star just because you can't get an appointment. Thats on you. There was another one about not being "community oriented". On what criteria made them a non-community oriented business? They are a small barbershop on Leonard street that gives great haircuts and beard shaves to the community of West Michigan. This isn't your typical great clips or Jude's that hires a tons of entry barbers to make money. They both love what they do and it shows in their work. I am very happy this barbershop and will continue to have my services here. Thank you.

Sure, it's a great barber shop for the guys, but Jazz is amazing for the girls, too! She has a magic knack with long hair, and her cuts keep their shape so much longer! It's a very cool vintage-looking shop, too. I won't go anywhere else!

The men in my life will never go anywhere else for their grooming needs. Jazz is the real deal. The recent addition of the very talented Stormy makes getting an appointment even easier. There is just no reason to not be getting your hair cut at Rogue.

LOVE Rogue! Modern day artistry in an old-world shop. Jazz is a cut (and shave) above the rest and the addition of Stormy just goes to show that this place is only getting better! I cannot say enough good about this place!

It's hard to get into, but this is the best place to get your haircut and beard ruined in Grand Rapids. I've been coming here for about 2 years to have Stormy cut my hair and I've never left disappointed. All appointments are done via a website called StyleSeat, so you can instantly see what availability they have. These two ladies are so popular they are always booked solid, so you have to be a little lucky to get an appointment. They also don't do walk-ins because they are always so busy. Anyway - this is an old school barber shop with a pin up girl style ambiance. Since it's by appointment, it's often just you and the barber, and you can have great conversations about just about everything. As for the actual cuts - they go above and beyond to make you look good. I never look better than I do coming out of this place. They also sell hair products - pomade, beard oil, brushes etc.to keep you looking good. Highly recommended

Best haircut I've ever had, hands down. Jazz is unbelievably talented. She makes her clients feel comfortable, listens to what they want and takes the time to explain what she's doing. She also is very knowledgeable about the products she sells, and is helpfull finding the right product for you. You'll leave Rogue looking your best and feeling great about yourself. She doesn't just cut hair, she sells confidence. My only complaint is that there isn't 3 or 4 of her, but I am excited to see she recently hired another stylist and know Jazz would only work with the best. As for the one star review, make an appointment and take a number. Rogue is a real barbershop and Jazz in high demand. To think you can get a walk in is ridiculous, go get your dad cut at a strip mall chop shop.

I have been a customer of Jazz's since 2010. If you're a man and you have hair she is the best you can find. Literally. If you're a man and you don't have hair, you should come to Rogue and she will probably give you the best shaved head you've ever seen. I think I get a new style to my hair every 3 to 4 months and she always delivers something trendy and stylish. She is made of 100% magic.

Jazz and Stormy both do a great job when it comes to haircuts and beard trims. The prices, atmosphere, and customer service are hard to beat. You won't be disappointed if you give this place a try.

Jazz knows how to bring out the best in a beard. After 13 months w/o a trim, I was a tad apprehensive about going under the scissors, but Jazz and her skillful blade work put me at ease immediately. Jazz knows hair down to the follicle and she shared valuable beard care tips while she worked her magic on my face mane. Glad I found her shop and I'm totally looking forward to a return trip when I start looking like a homeless guy again.

Jazz takes more pride in her work than anyone I know - for good reason! Be sure to book online or call ahead as she stays busy, but it's worth it!

Jazz is hands down the best barber I have ever had. I can't say that I was ever completely satisfied with a haircut until finding her. The atmosphere in her shop is amazing. You really feel at home in that place. I completely recommend her to anyone that can manage to get an appointment with her!!! She is that popular and it is easy to see why. Jazz is a great barber! She truly understands this art form and did a great job with my hair. She knows men's hair like nobody else and is very knowledgable. I have gone to a few barber shops over the years, and I consider the Rogue Haircut & Shave Parlor my favorite. While it's been a few years now since I started coming here, I don't see myself going anywhere else. Jazz and Stormy are both very talented, knowledgeable, thorough and committed to their craft. If you're looking for an awesome fade, cut in part, beard trim or just a normal haircut amongst many other services, Rogue Haircut and Shave Parlor is the place for you! Also the barber shop itself has cool decor and they play great music, which totally just adds to the atmosphere.

Jazz always does a great job on my troubled hair. She is worth my drive across town for sure. She makes you feel like a good friend every time you sit in her chair. She really cares about her clients and it shows!

If you don't cancel in her time frame she will charge you the price your services were going to be!!! your card info is stored on styleseat..so it can be charged.. then there is the mandatory 20% tip issue. does she give a good cut? sure!! so do at least 50 other people in a 30 mile radius or less!!. how a customer is treated counts for a lot. I was sent a msg thru fb over having to cancel an appointment , I did follow styleseats instructions..( I rescheduled to a different day & time at same time) that was the worst message I had ever received form any business person..ever!! and wanting a screenshot as proof of how styleseat told me to cancel? I'm not irresponsible and don't lie and am not ok with the implication I'm any of those things. I never signed any contract that she could charge me for appointments not cancelled in time or missed appointments ( I don't do no shows to anyone). So, I'm not okay with any business owner trying to do these things to me. How I'm treated along with how my hair is cut are equally important.

I drove across town on my lunch hour to find rogue was closed. Waste of time to drive to a business that says it's open, when it's not.
