The Best Restaurants in Birmingham, Alabama | Eater Atlanta

"Some places aren’t fancy, but they’re consistent, in a good way. Rojo is one of those places. Overlooking Rushton Park in the Highland Park neighborhood, this favorite boasts a huge menu of both Latin and American options. With a variety of veggie-friendly dishes — try the spinach and mushroom quesadilla or the black bean burger, as well as fantastic drink specials. It’s no wonder Rojo is a happening spot for weeknight dinners, Sunday brunches, and private parties." - Sarra Sedghi

It was an alright restaurant. We got the nachos with chicken, the Fuego burger, and the mushroom Swiss burger. The chicken on the nachos was dry and the taste was ok. We also got the strawberry mango margarita. It was very sweet. I would potentially recommend it but I just feel the food wasn't great but alright.

I was in town for a family event and my son recommended this spot for brunch. The brunch is something they only offer on the weekends, from what I was told. We had a party of ten and sat outside on the patio. This is not an upscale or classy location that you’d expect in the gorgeous Birmingham area it’s located in. But I really loved the vibe! I can imagine what a cool spot it must be at night time with the spirits flowing and the atmosphere. The brunch menu didn’t offer an awful lot of options but we all got something we really enjoyed. I had the brunch sandwich, which my son recommended. It has jalapeño bacon and avocado. Need I say more?! It was so yummy! What I was impressed with was how incredibly fast our food arrived! We had no sooner ordered our food, paid for it, grabbed our drinks and sat down on the patio before the food arrived! All the servers were hardworking and pleasant. I hope to come back to this location and try some more of their dishes!

Google
Rojo has great food and an exciting but comfortable armorer I order the fried fish tacos and they were delicious the fish wasn’t oily or over cooked and seasoned perfectly paired with the white salsa I could’ve ate 2 or 3 more. The serving size was appropriate for the cost and the quality. Good bar service very friendly bar tender who did a great job managing all the people. It can be bit noisy with all the people but we sat out side and it didn’t feel overwhelming. There was a slight mix up with our dessert order but they quickly fixed it and it was delicious. I enjoyed Rojo very much and will be dining there again.

Google
Rojo is one of our local neighborhood hangs and we love it. The food is delicious and generous. I love their salads, fish tacos and quesadillas. The burgers are actually AMAZING, and you can never go wrong with their cheese dip. It might not be the fanciest Mexican or margaritas but we don’t expect that - it has that fun and local atmosphere/vibe and we always leave satisfied. The staff are always friendly and attentive. And we appreciate not paying a fortune!! Thank you for not raising your prices 🙏 and keeping the food delicious. We love you Rojo.

Google
I love coming here! Katie is an awesome bartender. Very good Latin and American food. The queso and Chips appetizer was "ok". But....The fried fish tacos are awesome! The tinga nachos were good too! They also have a strawberry bsalmic margarita that I had to have three of! Cool laid back vibes and good food. Nice date spot on a Friday night. Update: we’re back! Katie is awesome!!!! We sat at the bar again. Same order added tater tot Cho’s appetizer (very very good).

Google
This is an absolute gem! The menu has American and Mexican treats. The food came quickly and full of flavor. The servings were plentiful and delicious. This will definitely be on our rotation when in Birmingham. For those with food allergies, this place is super accommodating. I totally forgot to ask for no cheese, and the staff corrected my order. When I asked about ingredients in a sauce, they quickly checked and then found an alternative. They have a GF menu and are super kind.

Google
We routinely order out from here and every now and then go sit and eat at Rojo and we love it every time!! The patio area is wonderful and the food is always tasty. We love grabbing a bite and eating it in highland park! Our go-to tends to be the taco wings, the tat-chos, and every now and then we will get a burger. The most recent time we ordered out through doordash, they did little drawings on our to-go boxes!! It’s the little things that fuel my dopamine rushes 😂❤️ love you too Rojo!

Google
Neat place to eat! We all had tacos of different kinds and all were good. You order inside and they bring to table ( your choice in or out ) .

Yelp
Pretty twinkling lights over the all season, covered, outdoor seating, looking out onto the park. But with QUESO! Rojo is a unique combination of Latin and American fares. I usually stick to the Latin side of the menu, and this time I opted for the fried fish tacos. Perfectly crispy, tasty accoutrements. The queso is quite thin, which I like but I'm sure there are some dairy purists out there who wouldn't. The have a projector playing movies. I was here on Valentine's Day and they were playing some nice rom-coms to glimpse at as you stand in line. This is just a fun spot to be, in one of the sweetest walking areas of Birmingham. It sure helps that it's just a couple blocks away from me. You don't get to be a neighborhood staple easily, so Rojo is definitely doing some things right. The house margarita is okay, nothing to write home about, but no complaints here. Hell, if I'm ever complaining about a margarita just send me home.

Yelp
I came here on a weeknight to meet up with some friends coming into town for the holidays, and we all had pretty good reviews of our food. There was plenty of seating and the staff was friendly. When you enter, you place your order at the counter and then pick any table you'd like to sit at. The patio was heated and had cute Christmas lights everywhere so we decided to sit outside. Our food came quickly and was very hot and delicious! We also got a pitcher of the spicy jalapeño margarita since they do $5 off pitcher on Thursdays before 9pm! We had an overall good experience and will be back!

Yelp
Rojo is a great place to go if you are around the Highland Park area. The atmosphere is amazing, especially if there's njce weather for outdoor dining. The food is always consistent with Rojo for sure.

Yelp
Someone recommended the Swiss, bacon cheeseburger. Good option. Good size burger with toppings on the side. Hella good fries too. We we be back.

Yelp
Always love the decor. Food fresh and tasty. Service is welcoming. The outdoor patio is one of my favorite places to sit. Bar has what your looking for. Sit back and enjoy.

Yelp
Quick eats with a lively atmosphere! There's something for everyone on the menu here. The menu is HUGE, containing a Latin, American, kids, and gluten free menu with lots of different dishes on each. You order at the counter and seat yourself. Our food came out very quickly! We ordered the Al pastor tacos and the burrito bowl. I added chicken and lettuce to the burrito bowl, with the chicken making it very filling. I enjoyed the Al pastor tacos the most- they were incredibly flavorful and delicious! I'd be happy to return here and try something else.

Yelp
A hidden gem placed amongst the trees. This place is like a little secret eating spot. Plenty of outdoor seating with indoor seating available. The food is fresh and not overly processed. There is an American and Latin menu available. The menu prices are reasonable. The southwest quesadillas were delicious! I'm not a mimosa person but I really enjoyed the mango, grapefruit and pineapple mimosa. Try it...dare you! The brunch menu is a great touch for the weekend. Meal for 2 with drinks for $40 is a yes for me! I'll be back!!

Yelp
A true Birmingham staple, this place consistently delivers excellent service that makes every visit enjoyable. Their menu boasts a diverse selection of dishes, ensuring there's something to satisfy every palate. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and well-prepared, showcasing their commitment to quality. Whether you're stopping by for a quick bite or a full meal, you can always count on a great dining experience that highlights why they remain a local favorite.

Yelp
Reliably awesome. Stopped in for lunch today. Sat at the bar. Server brought water right away and took my order. Order came out fast, as usual. Bar open late Fridays in December 2023 until midnight.

Yelp
This is a Mexican food restaurant not usually my favorite food but this is one of the best Mexican restaurants I've eaten at. The menu is very diverse with your occasional chicken fingers. The people are super nice as you order. It's a very good atmosphere with its wood vibe and several TVs.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming to Rojo every time I'm in Birmingham, sometimes more than once. The food is fantastic, vibe is so chill, the patio is a fantastic atmosphere, and overall Rojo is a fantastic spot for Latin and Mexican fare. Absolutely recommend it!

Yelp
Such a gem. My company hosted an event here for teachers and it did not disappoint. Look at the cute sign for us and the food was on point. We had tacos, nachos, banana pudding, and berry pie. The teachers were happy, and Ian did a fantastic job of making sure we were good. I tried the easy water - it has CBD and I don't know what I was thinking. They do have nonalcoholic drinks available which is always exciting.

Yelp
This place is an icon for the Birmingham City scene. The owner have done a great job at making people and their pups feel super welcome. It's hard to go wrong here. The food is great, the drinks are great, and the place just feels cozy. This is a must stop when in Birmingham, or if you live here. Love this place. Great work guys! Keep it up.

Yelp
Good Tex-mex American fusion in the heart of highland avenue. We tried the burrito bowl, empanadas, and pork burrito and all were decent. The empanadas were the best thing we had with a light flaky crust and well seasoned beef. The queso dip was standard white queso and chips were cold but crispy. Can be difficult to find parking right out front, but there are plenty spots available around the park. Order at the front counter and service was fairly quick. The outside patio was covered and well lit at night.

Yelp
Food was amazing and great atmosphere. The best veggie tacos I've ever had. Very flavorful and full of veggies. Very fresh.

Yelp
The food that we had, their was just delicious. The guacamole, chips, salsa and everything that they offered would surely put a smile on your face. I was fortunate to had tried the mango Margarita it really taste amazing, I mean the Bartender that works, their he really, puts a spin on making those amazing drinks and as, well good looking. All of the Host, that was their, at this event, I really enjoyed, they gave so much good information, not just about Rojo, but about what happens, with the food that's not ate, what's down with it, I believe it's called compound, Their was a walk, across, the street in the park, but of course, yours truly didn't go on that little tour( bad ankle, walking boot). The atmosphere inside and outside of Rojo, was just right for any occasion, I can see, myself going back their again, just a nice place, just to go eat and can chill for a bit. It's no place, you need to dress up or anything, I did have on a nice dress, with a wedge heel, that's just my normal and it balances out the height with my walking boot. It was funny, one lady did inquiry about why I wore wedge shoes and I had looked at her getting ready, to ask her, why she had on a Walgreens Outfit? I highly recommend this restaurant!

Yelp
Food was pretty good, we definitely ordered too much. Service and drinks were also good, and the patio is nice when the weather permits.

Yelp
The food here was excellent. I got the beef empanadas, and could not have asked for a more delicious meal. We got the taco wings, while they are great, they weren't what I expected, and I little spicier than I would have preferred.
google avatar

Bill G.

Yelp
Great vibe and friendly staff. The food is really fresh and delicious. The chips are thicker than I prefer but that's my preference.
google avatar

Christopher T.

Yelp
Still great! Great local place! Has an American menu and Mexican side! The food is make to order, can be a little slow at times, gets long waits when there are lots of people. Has nice outdoor and indoor seating!

Michael P.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the food and everyone was very helpful. The Ceaser Chicken pasta, the Ribeye and the Tilapia were delicious.
google avatar

Meagan K.

Yelp
We ordered the mahi mahi tacos which were very bland. The outside seating was nice but there were a LOT of flies.

Yelp
It's been three years since my last review so I felt an update would be appropriate. Basically, Rojo is still very much a chill vibe! It's a great restaurant with great food, drinks, and service! My husband and I had a date night on yesterday. We decided to stop by Rojo since it's been a while. There was a small crowd, but we were able to sit inside. After looking at the food and drink menus for a moment, we were ready to order. My husband went to the front and placed our order. We received our drinks almost immediately. My jalapeño margarita was just the right amount of spicy! It was delicious. Our food (taco wings, fries, and paella) came out nice and hot. We both had leftovers, which will make a good lunch today. The playlist was perfect to munch away to and enjoy. To sum it up, we enjoyed ourselves and we'll be back soon!

Yelp
Been coming to this spot for years & it's by far one of my favorites for Mexican & American food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu if I'm doing American I always go for the burgers or wings their taco wings bussin! My favorite Mexican dish would be the steak burrito! It hits every time! Fresh salsa & cheese dip! And please don't leave without a strawberry margarita with the sugar rim....Chef's kiss!!!

Sandy B.

Yelp
The atmosphere is really good. The food was on point - there is NO service which is a bummer. You have to go in for everything and if the staff is away talking you just stand and wait. If you don't mind that then it's pretty nice!
google avatar

Amelia L.

Yelp
Had been waiting to try Rojo for a while and it was great! Between the table we had the tatchos, chips + queso, two types of tacos, the grilled chicken sandwich, and a chicken quesadilla. No complaints in the slightest on any entrees- but weren't huge fans of the tortilla chips brought out with the queso (very minor we're aware). The outdoor patio was the perfect spot to catch up with old friends and feel alll the aesthetic of a great night in Highland Park!

Vero M.

Yelp
If I could give 100 stars I would! This place is absolutely amazing! I love that you can just grab menus and sit wherever you like! It is such a homey place to sit down and enjoy delicious authentic food. I went with my friend on Tuesday- and she brought her dog and we sat outside. I think it was the owner- but a guy brought out a bowl of water for her dog without us asking as well as offering us a fan for the flies. He also remembered her dogs name and petted him goodbye. Such genuine and great service. The lady at the counter, Kate, was so amazing and kind! When i ordered our drinks she told me about the refills and to help ourselves to that and the to-go cups whenever we're ready! I love this place and ever since eating here I told all of my family about it and whenever a family member asks me to go out- I'm always going to ask to go to Rojo! I am taking my nana this weekend and I am so excited to bring her to this gem ! :)

Yelp
PURR-RITO! There is something about Mexican food that has always seemed so classic and homey. No matter what kind of night you are having, Mexican food is always a good idea. Birmingham has a very large selection of Mexican restaurants. There are the hole in the wall types joints (Los Amigos, Wasabi Juans) the upscale ones (Little Donkey, Luna Latina), and even the in-betweens (Taco Mama). I would like to classify Rojo as an in-between. It is not super classy and not a hole in the wall either. It is located in Highland park right next door to O'Henry's Coffee. The area around Rojo is absolutely gorgeous with a park right across the street. After a night of heavy drinking with some friends, we all knew it would probably be a good idea for us to get some food in our systems. All of us threw out ideas. I was highly voting for Taco Mama, but I know that they do close earlier then other Mexican restaurants in the area. So of course my idea was later nixed. When we landed on Rojo I was excited as I had never been before, but had always wanted to try it. We were a larger party I think there were maybe six or seven of us. But when we got there we merged a bunch of tables together to be able to get everyone seated comfortably. We had arrived around 8:45pm on a Saturday night, there were some other families and people here, but it wasn't an issue for us to take multiple of the smaller tables and merge them together. They gave us three menus to browse over. There are two sides of the menu; a more American styled menu and a Mexican styled one too. I was craving Mexican food on this particular night so that was the way for me to go. When you know what you want you simply go inside and order from the counter. My friends and I got the trio sampler that comes with salsa, queso, and guacamole. We also got a pitcher of the standard margaritas to share. Yes, we kept the party going. For each of our entrees we got something different. I got a steak quesadilla, my friend Hannah got a burrito and her boyfriend got Dave's Quesadilla. Each of us devoured our plates. I guess you can say after heavily drinking, food was what we needed. The inside of the restaurant is.. well you guessed it, it's red. Red is everywhere from the mural on the wall to the coke machine. They really went all out with making sure the theme was incorporated. The only issue I had with this place was that during our meal, we started to smell a chemical smell. Almost like someone was in the alley outside washing the matts with Fabuloso. This was not exactly what we wanted to be smelling while enjoying a meal and a lovely night outside. The experience here was lovely. I truly enjoyed my meal and the company too! I will be returning to Rojo for sure!

Yelp
I've been eating here for so many years and have taken so many people to visit because the menu appeases to so many different tastes. My go to is Kate's salad and add shrimp. It is huge and delicious. The basil vinaigrette is fantastic. I love that they are dog friendly so I can take my pup and the patio is covered in case you get stuck in a summer storm. The bathrooms are always clean and staff is friendly.

Yelp
All I can say is , "What a difference a year can make!" I decided to come to brunch here after a relaxing massage. I was a little iffy because the last time I came to Rojo , it was awful . That pretty much sums it up. This time around was completely different so I'm happy to be able update my review! Saturday lunch/brunch is a BIG deal so it was busy . Despite it being busy , ordering food and drinks from outside went fast. Food & drink Menus were posted outside and mainly patio , separate outdoor tables were the seating options. They were also allowing patrons in the side room , which is a smaller dining space. Very cozy! All the seating was pretty spaced out in addition to other covid protocols being enforced. They did a fantastic job with this! For my meal , I had the lumberjack potatoes from their brunch menu. To drink I started with one mango mimosa. I really enjoyed my food and beverage. I eventually ordered a carafe of mango mimosa bc it just made sense. Trust me! The service I experienced was really good and all of the servers were super helpful & friendly. I'm so glad I came here and will be back soon!

Yelp
My wife and I love this place. I love the food and the vibe. Today, we sat at the bar and had terrible service. The bartender, he never introduced himself, was rude and inattentive. I have been an F&B manager for over twenty years, regardless of whether you recognize a customer or not, everyone deserves good service. Your restaurant has great food, unfortunately I can no longer recommend your establishment.
google avatar

Nick D.

Yelp
I don't get it. Every time I pass by Rojo, I see a completely packed restaurant. Yet, when I enter I'm greeted first by a lame, unkempt atmosphere. Second, by extremely stressed, overworked, completely disorganized wait staff. And lastly by... pretty good burgers, slightly overpriced (and extremely oversweetened) Margarita pitchers, and bland, mediocre Mexican food. I cannot understand what the hype is about, but clearly Rojo has found a loving customer base so keep on carrying on, hombres.
google avatar

Kirsten S.

Yelp
Food is always great. It's a tight space though! Just know you will here the conversations around you lol But the food!!!!! 20/10

Abby M.

Yelp
We live in Highland Park so we do frequently have dinner at Rojo. The food is incredibly mid. I always get the chicken tacos, which are good but nothing special. The patio atmosphere and being able to walk to dinner keeps us coming back. Would recommend if you live in Highland Park! Otherwise, I dont know that it would be a place worth driving to?
google avatar

Olivia A.

Yelp
First time to eat here but I've heard about it for awhile. We ate outside on the patio as it poured down rain. It was noisy but quite relaxing. You have to go in and order and fix your own drink, even refills. Gets tight moving around on the inside. We had the Mushroom/Swiss Burger with fries, Spinach-mushroom quesadilla and the Grilled Mahi-mahi tacos. Everything was delicious! The sauce on the fish was excellent! Plenty of food! Would definitely revisit! No one visits the table to check on you. Set up like a fast food place but the food is so much better! The only negative was the length of time to receive our food, it took well over 30 minutes.
google avatar

Yelp
I'm afraid I have to roll with the "overrated" gang here. Let me say that you can do worse than this place. We arrived with a party of 6, 2 kids, Friday night, dietary restrictions, no reservation. We were seated immediately, and more or less had a good and accommodating experience. The self-seating, limited server style is fine with me. Great tv vantage points during what was the NFL draft and NBA playoff time. Ambiance was quirky, a bit dark and divey. Crowd looked like maybe university or medical types coming in after work. But to the nitty gritty, food was very average I'd say. The American fair we had was fine, couple burgers, fries, tots (always a plus to see tots on the menu). The Mexican though was mediocre at best. Honestly, I had low expectations for Mexican fair in this setting. It was fine, nothing offensively bad, but the queso dip was watery, the nachos were a bit stale, and the steak tacos was just ahight. 2 of our dishes came out late, the rest of us were done eating already. The host comped them so that was cool. Still, it did happen. Overall, I can see why this is a valued utilitarian spot for locals. Deep menu, drinks (I don't drink so I can't speak to that), TVs, great location. Decent food. But for out-of-towners looking for either a memorable experience or especially notable eats, I'd keep it moving.

Yelp
It's had been awhile since we visited Rojo. We decided to visit because of their Birmingham Restaurant Week special, and ended up going two nights in a row because it was so good. My favorites were their pineapple salsa, queso, strawberry margaritas and their vegetable quesadilla. Due to COVID, they are currently only seating people outside. You are not allowed to go inside. Because of this, the seating is very limited, but we were able to get a table quickly even with our party of 5. Regarding service, you order at a window, they bring your food to you and you bus your own table. Both nights, the food was delicious, and I had plenty for leftovers which is my favorite. This restaurant is in a great walking neighborhood with a park across the street. It is definitely worth a visit.
google avatar

Virginia H.

Yelp
It's been a long time since I have been to Rojo's and it's a lot better than I remembered! They have a great COVID set up with LOTS of outside seating - covered and not. My favorite part is the standalone tent outside with one large table inside that's fantastic for a larger party that wants to eat out but away from everyone else! We ordered the 3 dip sampler, spinach & mushroom quesadillas, and fish tacos along with tots and vegetable medley for our dinner. Employees were very nice and efficient. Love that they bring the food out as they are ready instead of letting things get cold while waiting to bring everything out all at once. For our sampler, we got the pineapple salsa, queso, and guacamole. Pineapple salsa was very refreshing, perfect for hot weather. Queso and guacamole were as they should be, yum. We didn't love the spinach and mushrooms quesadilla, but that's a personal preference thing as we nust didn't love the cheese used...but the ingredients were obviously very fresh. Enjoyed the fried fish taco. Fish was very crunch and, again, everything tasted very fresh. The vegetable medley was definitely a favorite of the night, would order that again any time. We were happy with our visit overall and do plan to visit again. Perhaps in the near future with the entire family to take advantage of the nice tent outside! I wonder if that can be reserved.......

Yelp
This spot is so cute and cool. The staff are all good looking & very well mannered & friendly. The atmosphere is relaxed, you seat yourself. The food was very good. I ordered a mini nachos, a Mediterranean chicken quesadilla, tater tots from my mother with an order of guacamole. It looks like a great place for burgers, from my point of view many customers had burgers. Oh, and the food comes out pretty quick, hot & delicious. Oh yeah, and it has a nice vintage looking bar (good margaritas). Check out Rojos when in Birmingham, Alabama.
google avatar

Brooke E.

Yelp
Love this place!!! Definitely a tight space but it gives Rojo a fun vibe though! The food is always incredible!!!

Maggie H.

Yelp
Do not come here the older female bartender no joke will purposefully not put alcohol in your margarita. The chips are stale af. Been in the service industry for 7 years served and bartended at a similar restaurant and this place is dead wrong. The bartender is my issue honestly. Hope this helps.
google avatar

Kayla B.

Yelp
I had such a great time at Rojo the first time i went i cannot believe i didn't write a review. I came today for a show in the event space. This will be a review of the event space not the main restaurant. The event space is intimate to say the least. The table next to us was basically in our laps. All of this is of course forgiven when the event starts so if you are going for an event, get there early and order as soon as you do. The food came out fast, the drinks were strong. The staff was friendly. The food is great to me, it isn't heavily seasoned. So i could see someone expecting Latin flare would be missing the notes here. I personally was able to add the perfect flavor i needed. I think it's a delicate balance for places that cater to a wide audience. I couldn't finish my food but i enjoyed it. One of my bunch partners got the nachos, they were great. I will try those next time for sure.

Cindy L.

Yelp
Love the drinks and food. Always order the same thing, tomatillo grilled chicken and onions on flour tortillas with rice and beans with a side of their white salsa!
google avatar

Meagan A.

Yelp
I'm not sure why this place is so highly recommended. The food was mediocre at best. It seems that they have too many menu items to do anything well. We should've known when our appetizer came out and it was pretty bland, how the rest of the meal would go. We ordered the queso with chorizo and jalapeños. The dip itself was ok, but lacking in flavor and spice. The chips were also unsalted and bland. My husband ordered a burger, which he said tasted very much like a frozen burger patty. The steak fries also were unappetizing. I ordered the "Sexy" Chicken sandwich. I never finished it. The sauce that it was served with was tasty, but that was the only redeeming quality of the meal. Lastly, we dined outside because we thought it would be nice to have a meal with our pup. When my husband went inside to place our order, he said the restaurant itself was filthy. He chose to tell me this after we left because he said I would've told him we weren't eating there. This experience was such a letdown.

Yelp
Hot wings are on point but that's about it. Not only is the Mexican food they serve here be laughed out of Los Angeles where I'm visiting from, it is considerably worse than the Chipotles of the world. After taking one bite of their chips, queso, rice, and beans, I literally just abandoned my meal in disgust and opted to fill up on a bag of chips. If you're under the impression that this is good Mexican food, please get on the i-65 and visit El Campesino in Montgomery which remains among the best tacos I've had in the entirety of the United States.

Yelp
Went recently for dinner with my son as it was a fundraiser we wanted to support. I appreciate that Rojo does those kinds of things. We each had a quesadilla, spinach and mushroom for me and Mediterranean for him. I also got an order of guacamole. All the food was very good and came out quickly. I know some people don't like to order then find a table but I don't mind that. We sat outside and it was pretty crowded but the tables were spaced out. Servers were on top of things and extra nice. Good experience.

Yelp
I love this place! It's located in the perfect spot. There's a nice little park across the street. I love their outdoor patio. It's a great place to sit and eat when the weather is nice! I highly recommend the fish tacos! They are lightly battered and fried until they are golden and lightly crispy. The creamy Baja sauce they put them is delicious. The portions are generous and their prices are reasonable. The staff is friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this place!

Yelp
I am giving a 2 star review due to the reason that they don't have a wait staff that comes and takes your order. This is a big problem as they are dog friendly on the outside patio. If you go make sure you take a friend with you as I went by myself and I had to tie up my dog to the tree or the little black fence they have so that I could go place my order inside. The food was just ok. I ordered the Red Chile Pork Burrito I thought the red Chile would have been mix in with the pork but it was not it came on the side and looks like it just came out of the cooler as it was ice cold. There also wasn't much pork in the burrito it was more rice and beans the pork so not worth the price. The picture that is attached has the red Chile sauce that I poured over it. I am not sure if I would go back to this restaurant alone with the dog.
