We visited this place hoping for a great dining experience, but it didn’t quite meet expectations.
We were offered water upon sitting down, which we later found was added to the bill, it would have been helpful if this had been mentioned upfront.
There was also a spider web hanging from the light on our table, which affected the overall atmosphere.
On the positive side, the gyoza was good, and the prawn tempura was excellent, crispy, fresh, and well-prepared. The edamame, however, had more sea salt than expected, making it difficult to enjoy.
The biggest letdown was the sushi. The eel sushi pieces were falling apart before we could eat them, and the tuna sushi didn’t quite resemble tuna in taste or appearance. For a restaurant focused on Japanese cuisine, we had higher expectations for the sushi.
One highlight was our waiter, Mete, who was kind and attentive throughout our meal. His service made the experience better despite the other issues.
