Google
My partner and I have been to multiple locations and love all of them. We were so happy they opened one in Irvine. This is a smaller restaurant, but the service is wonderful and the food is even better. We really enjoy the quality of the sushi and believe the pricing is fair and not overpriced like a lot of places in Southern California. We love coming here and recommend to all our friends and family. Even strangers too! Thanks for all the hard work and quality service!

Google
It’s a great spot for those who prefer light meals. Rather than a place for families, it’s more suited for couples looking for a nice date spot. You can enjoy a satisfying meal with small portions, and the quality fish and fresh seaweed alone make it delicious. They also serve my favorite sake — not a wide selection, but just enough, and I love it. With plenty of staff, they’re attentive and provide what you need promptly. The food is excellent, making it a place I truly enjoy.

Google
We had to wait a while before going in, but that was partially my fault because I hadn't joined the waitlist beforehand. I highly recommend doing so on Google Maps or Yelp. The food was great. I got the hand roll lunch special, and it was delicious. The crispy outer layer of warm seaweed went perfectly with the cool, soft fish and rice. If the owners of ROL are reading this, I advise them to expand the place because so many people want to eat there, but there is such a small seating area. I would definitely eat here again.

Google
The last day in LA :(. Saw great reviews and swung quickly over. The reason I put only a four stars not a five stars review was because it’s strange that all the male workers seems neutral like with no expressions when asking a question or two, it’s very odd and while the female workers were very friendly but with no doubt they have great food.

Google
A Japanese restaurant. Initially, I didn’t have high expectations for this restaurant since hand rolls are quite a common item. However, their hand rolls exceeded my expectations. The ingredients were fresh, and the vinegar rice was perfectly seasoned. The service was excellent and they serve each hand roll one at a time, allowing you to savor each bite at your own pace. Despite the restaurant’s small size, the space feels cozy and not overcrowded, making the overall dining experience very comfortable.

Google
Tasty hand rolls! Ordered the set of six with unagi to replace the spicy tuna, and it was perfect. I would prefer no crispy onion or garlic in my hand rolls next time because it’s overpowering the fish, but overall it was a nice experience and I’d come back.

Google
My all time favorite sushi spot. I highly recommend the Yellowtail, Uni & Toro, and Spicy Salmon Crunch handrolls. The food tastes very high quality and it quite literally melts into your mouth. Bryant was our server and he is very friendly and provides great service! Would come again for sure :)

Google
Tried ROL Hand Roll Bar takeout last week. Wasn't sure what to expect but their packaging was perfect! Everything stayed in place and looked nice when I opened it. The toro don was a amazing! Super fresh toro and honestly, the rice beneath was cooked just right. Could've eaten just the rice, it was that good. Inari had this nice sweetness to it that worked great with the spicy tuna and salmon. Had it during wine night with friends. Everyone enjoyed it and asked where it was from. Food stayed good throughout the evening!! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Great quality seafood & overall a great way to spend a nice dinner. Some of the mayo based ones were too rich for me, but getting a set helped me identify my favorites for next time.

Yelp
Lunch Food Quality 5/5 Service 5/5 Price 5/5 ($20-25 a person before tip w/ 1 entree 1 drink) Wait Time 3/5 (but worth tbh) Might expect to wait between 30m and 1hr Overall 4.75/5

Yelp
Got the Kaisendon and it is the right choice for a person like me who wants a little bit of everything and different textures of a meal. Had the kaisendon as is and before finishing the whole bowl I requested to add salmon miso broth with a bit of yuzu. This was so refreshing and yummy !

Yelp
The Spicy Salmon Crunch roll was my favorite, the rice to fish ratio is very well balanced so I could taste the fish with every bite and the sauce was not overpowering but gave a nice hint of spice to it. I recommend getting the Spicy Garlic Edamame to eat on the side as you wait for your next roll to come in, they got these perfectly seasoned. Overall great experience, and really fresh rolls, you won't be disappointed! Food: 5/5 Service: 5/5

Yelp
I love ROL Hand roll bar so much and I know everyone else does too because this place is ALWAYS, and I mean always, packed! The ingredients are very fresh and I really do feel like you get good value for your money. ROL lets you swap out rolls in their set menus which I love (For sure you can swap two rolls but I think you may be able to swap up to three). My favorites are the yellowtail, shrimp tempura and the spicy salmon. I also love that you can add on rolls as you go just in case you didn't order enough! Also, don't sleep on the appetizers, I think their spicy tuna tartare on crispy rice is the best one I've tried so far! There's plenty of parking but just be aware that the wait times here are insane so get here early otherwise you could be waiting for more than an hour (especially at peak meal times!).

Yelp
Ohaiyo gozaimasu! It's time for some fish on rice action, babygirls and babyguys...whatever, uh. It's time for some handrolls from Kei Concepts. Rol in Irvine is wrapping up some major delish fish as a dish, and it's probably what you wish! Walking into the place, you're greeted with a nice, chill, dark restaurant with good lighting. The entire place is bar-seating only, so be prepared to get cozy up to a stranger while you dine! The reason it's bar seating is because they serve you these handrolls extra extra fresh, and the fastest way to do that is from hand to plate, as soon as it's rolled. I think it's a wonderful concept, and it's something novel that a lot of people haven't experienced. We each got a 5-set to start, which we added to based on our preferences. This comes with a salmon, spicy tuna crunch, scallop, yellowtail, and an albacore roll. Kinda hard to show in video or pictures, but these things are filled with sushi rice and the aforementioned fish, and then they're wrapped in roasted seaweed. You're supposed to eat it as soon as it gets on your serving plate, so bottoms up! Give your soy sauce a pour, stick some wasabi on your roll, and get to chomping! The first thing you notice is that lovely crispy crunch of the still-dry seaweed, before the bite changes into that warm embrace of rice with the seasoned fish. Wow. Utterly scrumptious. Can't really beat it as an experience all on its own separate from a standard sushi restaurant. Of course, you don't have to order off the set menu, so go wild with whatever you like! They have quite a few menu options, so you'll find something you're gonna enjoy! If fresh fish and Japanese is your goal, be sure to wheel yourself over to Rol!

Yelp
There's a reason why this place holds a near 5 star rating with over 1k reviews. The hand rolls here are very exquisite. I got the 6 hand roll set which comes with salmon, tuna, scallops, yellowtail, blue crab, and toro. The nori is some of the freshest, crispiest you'll ever try, and the fish tastes very fresh. This location in particular has bar seating only and the wait can be pretty long during peak hours given thr number of seats inside. However, it has a nice, cozy ambiance inside and the service here is friendly and quick. This place is a must try!

Yelp
Crispy rice appetizer was amazing! Light and not too greasy! And the lunch special here is always great!

Yelp
It was my first time visiting the Irvine ROL and was definitely not disappointed! I saw their happy hour menu and thought it was a pretty good deal, so I came with my brother. It was like 2pm on a weekday, and I'd say there was about a 30-45min wait. The inside has a dark, sleek interior and basically an all-bar seating arrangement with nice service! I got the spicy tuna salmon donburi and my brother got the kaisendon - both of which were super refreshing and flavorful, with good quality, soft but still succulent (mashed?) sashimi, and the dishes themselves looked very vibrant :) For the kaisendon, they recommend leaving about 1/2 or 1/3 of the bowl so that they can add salmon broth and some lemon to the remaining rice, which was quite the culinary experience for our taste buds. I think we'd both agree it was a new flavor profile that we couldn't tell if we liked or not lol...but we kept on eating it so that's probably a good sign! I think it was because the lemon is pretty prominent, and it gave the dish a very sweet citrusy note. Would love to come back to try out their rolls next time and the rest of their menu!

Yelp
We love ROL!!! Great service, great food, great atmosphere & ambiance what more could you ask for? We got one lunch hand roll set, crispy rice tartare as well as the kaisendon. The lunch specials are such a great deal-the set comes with edamame & miso soup as well as 4 hand rolls, and their kaisendon is topped off with a salmon broth towards the end of your meal. Highly recommend!

Yelp
This place is soo popular so hoping the waitlist on yelp! Great feature for sure! They have great rolls and love their lunch specials. We come once every quarter or so. Yummy rolls. The spicy tuna rice crisps seem to have shrunk a little bit for the same price. Oh well. Yummy lychee lemonade and they help you celebrate birthdays which is nice. Must try!!

Yelp
this was a good place for a light lunch! we werent super hungry and these 5 hand rolls were enough for us to get full~ my favorite has to be the salmon and the spicy tuna! the spicy tuna had fried onions on the inside and it was such a great touch! i loved the textural contrast :D Service is pretty good! they make the rolls fresh and in front of you. I would say the pacing could be a little better. I had some moments when i would be eagerly anticipating to eat another hand roll but had to wait a while. it also took us a really long time to get seated even though there were several seats available. they told us they needed to clean up but i swear we waited like almost 10 minutes for them to do that. It seemed they werent really acting urgently from my observations also pro-tip: u kinda have to eat the hand roll fast bc the seaweed gets soggy if you let it sit and then it becomes a not-very-graceful way of eating bc then you're biting and tugging at the seaweed while its not breaking off at all as for the inside, its solely bar seating. that was one of the things that prevented me from coming here because i like to enjoy meals with my family. bar seating makes that difficult so this place is really only good for a party of 2 or 3. feels like a datey spot too I would come back maybe for their lunch special! heard its a really good deal!

Yelp
I had been wanting to try this place out! I think it's really good for what it is. I came specifically because I don't love seaweed and I know they do soy paper so I was excited about that. It's just a LOT of seaweed when you get it so I liked that soy paper has less flavor. They were out of soy paper which was disappointing because I came on a busy day which was a Saturday afternoon. They did make up for it by giving us the crispy rice tartar on the house. This place can get pretty expensive because honestly it can kind of take a lot for you to get full haha. You have to eat quite a lot and it's terrible but I was still kind of hungry after haha. The rolls are kind of expensive since each one is at least $5. Really liked the dragonfruit lychee lemonade. The edamame was tasty and was more charred style! The crispy tuna tartar was nice because the rice came out the right crispy but I didn't like it had mayo on it. Other than that it was great! Each hand roll was good but I liked the inari better which is tofu skin! If you don't LOVE seaweed, this is a great option.

Yelp
Value lunch hand roll set. $15 for 4 hand rolls along with edamame and miso soup. Bar seating around the restaurant. Ordered via QR code and you can see some of the rolls being made. Server was nice and recommended us rolls as well as what's coming next. The crispy rice tartare was simple and the rice was crispy. Furikake fries were extra crispy due to them being shoestring fries and had a good amount of furikake seasoning to it. The sauce goes well with the fries. The donburi tasted fresh and had a balanced mix of rice and the different fish. Near the end of finishing the bowl they add a yuzu dashi sauce with the rice. Strong yuzu flavors and enhances the dish. Would definitely come back if I'm craving some hand rolls.
google avatar

Yelp
So for their $15 lunch, it's an absolute steal! 4 hand rolls, edamame, and miso soup? It's the perfect size for lunch, you walk away pretty satisfied. The rolls are staggered nicely so you can enjoy them fresh with a nice crunchy bite of seaweed each time. Out of the 4 (salmon, spicy tuna crunch, scallop, and blue crab), enjoyed the spicy tuna best, more for the nice play on texture. But overall, the ingredients tasted very fresh. Service was attentive without feeling rushed. Small spot, but probably fast turnover. Easy parking in this large strip mall.
google avatar

Jessie Z.

Yelp
Tried their $15 lunch special! Even on a weekday with typical dead hours there is a 30 min minimum wait so be sure to join on yelp early on. The set menu is a pretty good deal since it comes with 4 rolls, a soup, and edamame for only $15 (enough to fill you up), but after trying rol so many times, I think I like the spicy tuna the best. The set meal is also good because you can try the crab one where you can distinctly taste the rich crab flavor. I will say my experience was a bit off this time maybe due to the lunch rush, but also because there was only one chef. It became more quick service meal than the intimate experience I enjoyed before. Before, I felt like the chef watched to see how you were eating/pace before placing new hand rolls on so that when you ate the seaweed remain crispy. But this time, I felt like it was just being pushed one after the other, even though we were also sharing a kaisendon leading it to sit while i caught up and become soggy. Some of the rolls appeared inconsistent in filling size. It may have been my one experience, but it would be sad if deals/profit was switched over for experience, which i felt was the highlight of rol specifically from the other kei concepts. They also have a $19 kaisendon, which I remember when it came out looked really grand. It ends up mostly being spicy tuna and imitation crab. You put the bowl on the counter after eating the raw toppings ( only rice left) for the broth. The broth is rich but not super creamy. Its pretty filling for the price. Overall, the ingredients seemed to remain consistent . I'm not sure why I didnt get the same hit as I did before. $15 for a set meal thats decently filling is a pretty good deal. Id recommend the spicy tuna crunch hand roll / sets for first experiences and to opt for the donburi with a side of seaweed for the ones used to it.

Yelp
We stopped by Rol for lunch and were seriously impressed. Everything we tried was top-tier, both in taste and presentation -- definitely a 5/5 experience. Lunch special handroll set 5/5: Salmon, spicy tuna, scallop, blue crab. The handrolls had perfectly crisp nori and the warm rice with the cold fish is a perfect contrast. Every bite was satisfying and well-balanced. The fish quality was amazing! The kaisendon was equally delicious, mich better than any poke bowl! Clean and and high quality. Service was smooth and attentive, and the whole meal felt like such a treat without being overly fancy. Can't wait to come back and try more from the menu!
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
We always have consistent service across the Rol locations. Service is great. Walked in with two kiddos with only bar seating at this location. The hostess didn't bat an eye when she discovered I needed high chairs and worked with me to find a solution. This is exactly what we needed. We sat at the lower bar with one kiddo on my lap and another in the high chair. Food is consistently great. They always provide seaweed for my kiddo. I get six hand rolls and my hubs gets the seven. I love the blue crab roll, toro, and salmon rolls. The wait is never too long and you can get on the waitlist in advance of showing up.
google avatar

Cindy T.

Yelp
This place has an amazing lunch special deal! For 4 handrolls, edamame, and miso soup, you can get this all for $15. The service and ambiance are always good here. I just had a birthday celebration and they gave me a birthday cheesecake which was a nice unexpected surprise!
google avatar

Yelp
Love this spot! The sushi is fresh, flavorful, and perfectly made. Great variety and fun atmosphere at the bar. The staff are friendly and attentive, making it a perfect place to grab a quick bite or enjoy a casual night out. Can't wait to come back.

Yelp
I moved from Hawaii about 5 months ago and have been craving Inari's so bad! I have tried every place that had it and by far Rol's was the best! I just love the tofu skin and it's a perfect pairing with the fish. I ordered through Uber Eats to see and it tasted amazing! This place will be my go to the fish was fresh and they didn't mix the seafood with any crazy sauce like the other restaurants. I ordered the salmon, spicy salmon, blue crab, tuna, yellowtail and paid $2 more for the Toro which was worth it! The blue crab was a little creamy for me but still so good and I would order all of them in a heart beat, maybe 2 Toro's next time! The Togo packaging was great as well with all the side condiments needed but I didn't need them except the ginger.

Yelp
Stopped into ROL Hand Roll Bar and ordered the spicy salmon tuna bowl. It was a well-composed dish that felt fresh and satisfying from start to finish. The fish was high quality, with a clean flavor and buttery texture. The spicy seasoning added just enough kick without overwhelming the natural taste of the tuna and salmon. Everything was layered over perfectly cooked rice, and the toppings like scallions and crispy bits added a nice contrast in texture. Service was attentive and smooth. The staff checked in shortly after I was seated and walked me through a few menu options without being pushy. The bowl came out quickly and was plated with care. The ambience is modern but comfortable, with a sleek counter and soft lighting that works well whether you're there solo or with a small group. The space is clean and intimate, with a calm energy that makes it easy to relax and enjoy your food. ROL does a great job keeping things simple while still delivering on quality and detail. The spicy salmon tuna bowl is a solid choice and left me wanting to come back to try more.

Yelp
Came here a few weeks back and had a great experience! Limited seating but it's super fast pace service. Our server was super cool and very attentive. Enjoyed the whole concept and loved the dragon fruit lychee juice. I did the 6 hand roll combo. They let you choose your 6 fish and you can substitute also instead of their standard choices. Super fresh and prepped quick! Crunchy seaweed with some fresh fish! Yellowtail and spicy tuna was my favorite. We had spicy tuna rice cake and probably the best I've had of this appetizer. I also really enjoy their inari options. I recommend the toro inari and salmon inari. Mhmm!
google avatar

Jeslyn L.

Yelp
We ordered the Kaisendon, the lunch box set (salmon hand roll, spicy hand roll, blue crab roll, scallop roll), a toro and truffle hand roll, and the blue crab inari. The kaisendon was good and after you have a little left, they pour in a salmon miso broth to go with the rest of your rice. The rice is a bit harder, so the broth tasted good with the rice. I enjoyed all the hand rolls, especially the toro and truffle one! The truffle flavor is really rich. The blue crab also tasted perfect! They make all the rolls in front of you and take your order rather quickly regardless of how packed it is. Their seating is limited, thus longer wait times. The seating is a C shape around the center where they make the rolls. Definitely worth the wait though!
google avatar

Annie Y.

Yelp
There are plenty of parking spaces. We did a takeout order, so it was much faster than dining in. We ordered the 5-set (salmon, spicy tuna crunch, and yellowtail) and chili garlic edamame. They get your number, but you receive no text messages on whether your order is ready. Once we got the order, the sushi was tiny, but they were good. The Chili Garlic Edamame was not spicy and was okay. Overall, the sushi was good, but didn't expect the rolls to be super tiny. Recommendation(s): - Salmon, Spicy Tuna Crunch, Yellowtail Service: 5/5 Tip(s): - Plenty of parking spaces - Accept Apple Pay - The set sushi were tiny
google avatar

Candice K.

Yelp
Delicious hand rolls! I had the 6 roll set (they have 5 or 7 hand roll sets as well). You can order a la carte and they have donburi bowls and appetizers as well. They also have a selection of cocktails, beer, sake, and non-alcoholic beverages. The service is exceptional and the waiters were really friendly and I never had to ask for anything because they were always on top of it. Usually a long wait during peak hours but they do have a Yelp live waitlist which makes it really convenient to put your name down on the list.
google avatar

Poinci Z.

Yelp
I love ROL! The five set is always a safe bet for first timers since you get a good variety. My favorites of the five are the salmon and yellowtail which are kept fairly simple. The spicy tuna comes with some crunchy onion, the scallops are creamy and come with chives, and the blue crab is also pretty creamy. (Always get the truffle soy sauce!) They prepare these based on your pace, since the chef is right in front of you. You have to eat these pretty fast while the nori is crispy, otherwise it'll begin to stick. The crispy tuna tartare was good too, it has a sweet glaze on top. Always get the dragonfruit lychee lemonade for the free refills! Also definitely recommend joining the yelp waitlist in advance, there's limited seating so it's pretty packed all the time.
google avatar

Keisha A.

Yelp
I've tried most of the handroll bars in LA/Irvine area, ROL has the freshest and most delicious fish. Especially loved the Spicy Tuna handroll, Yellowtail, and Toro! Tuna Don is also amazing. They make their own Soy Sauce, which is umami and delightful. Parking is easy, servers are helpful, and the place is clean/nice.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
The best rolls ever! So fresh. Great customer service. Perfect music! Fast, friendly and unique experience.
google avatar

Jonathan K.

Yelp
Came on a Saturday afternoon, and had to wait approximately 30 minutes to get a seat. They have bar seating only, with a dedicated server, making the rolls in front of you kind of Omakase style, which causes their line to go long. However, once you're in, the service is fantastic. 7 set rolls ($37) - the roads are crunchy, fresh, made right in front of you - salmon roll at the fish melt right in your mouth
google avatar

Angie L.

Yelp
This place really exceeded my expectations!! I thought it was going to be one of those overhyped places that always has a line because they just do good marketing. Well yes, they're good at marketing but their food and service is top notch! I was surprised at how filling the rolls are. One time I got the lunch special and I didn't think it would be enough but towards my last roll I was definitely getting full. Sitting at the bar top and watching your food getting made is pretty fun! Highly recommend. Great for date meals and catching up 1:1 with friends. Worth the wait!!
google avatar

Rachael W.

Yelp
Wow! These rolls look small, but they are really delicious and filling. I absolutely loved every bite. I felt that the service was quick and they freshly prepare each roll. You can even watch them as they prep it. The quality of the fish is so fresh. Will definitely be back.
google avatar

Amanda C.

Yelp
We came here for dinner and the rolls were really tasty! We ordered the 6 roll set,, my favorite was the toro and blue crab. The servers were really nice. Would definitely come back here :)
google avatar

Ellain M.

Yelp
My go-to spot for sushi/hand rolls! I like how they pace you for your hand rolls and always receive it fresh and the quality is always top tier! I got a 5 set with miso soup and crispy rice tartare and I like how easy it is to eat the crispy rice without it falling apart as many restaurants tend to make it hard to pick up with chopsticks or make the rice too tough to easily bite into. Highly recommend!!!
google avatar

Gabriel B.

Yelp
First off, YUM. I love the bar seating arrangement as you can watch the chefs make the hand rolls. I wish that the rice bowls were also made in front of you, but sadly they are done with a chef in the back. Service staff was warm and friendly, and their food tasted very fresh. Just arrive earlier if you have a large party, because seating is basically just a giant bar setup.
google avatar

Ron H.

Yelp
Best unique restaurant in Irvine. Quick and fresh rolls and great for all ages. My kids 5 and 8 love it and the experience is awesome. We always do the 6 piece combo. I wish they had lunch items during dinner time as well.
google avatar

Brian K.

Yelp
Definitely love this place. Like all of the Kei Concept restaurants, Rol is great food, great service and an interesting environment. But I really think that the 7 roll tasting menu is a great deal. The price is not crazy in comparison to any of the other sushi joints around, but the quality is surprisingly amazing. The rolls taste super fresh and a couple of them have some great additions that really elevate the game. The salmon has sesame seeds that take that roll to another level, as does the garlic crisps in the spicy tuna. My tip, get the yuzu sauce.... makes a great soy sauce replacement and just makes everything even better. The drinks are also great.. I can definitely recommend the lychee lush and the guava fizz, both were light and sweet.
google avatar

Stan Y.

Yelp
The food was really great I recommend trying it when you have a chance! The service was very quick and they were very respectful.
google avatar

Damon T.

Yelp
Great place for a quick lunch or snack! They have an awesome $15 lunch special. 4 rolls, edamame, and miso soup. They also allow you to substitute rolls. My favorite was the scallops roll and spicy tuna roll with crunchy fried onions. Also make sure to get their yuzu dipping sauce! The quality was honestly not your Michelin star omakase but it wasn't grocery store sushi either. I would say middle tier. The servers were so nice. Accidentally messed up my order and let me keep the blue crab roll they made on accident haha. Very mayo forward but has crab flavor. Feels like one of those standing sushi bars in Japan workers go to during lunch time for a quick bite. Clean simple and convenient. They only have 1 bar going around the whole kitchen area. Huge parking. Same plaza as omomo next to Sup noodle.
google avatar

Daph H.

Yelp
Been meaning to try ROL for a while, but when I saw their $15 lunch deal with four hand rolls, miso soup and edamame, I had to visit! During lunch, there always is a 40min-1 hour wait, so it's best to hop on the Yelp waitlist asap (which is only available within three-miles of the restaurant). They'll give you the soup and edamame first, followed by the hand rolls - salmon, spicy tuna, scallop and blue crab hand roll. Everything was very fresh. It's a quick meal, unless you want to add on other items. It's very similar to Kazunori, except that they don't have the automatic gratuity. Service is great! Plenty of parking in the lot.
google avatar

Austin E.

Yelp
Efficient fish to mouth delivery system. I enjoyed the open "kitchen" at the bar. Great dining experience if you know what you're going for.
google avatar

Vivian P.

Yelp
This is one of the few kei concept restaurants I have not eaten at yet because I don't eat raw fish but I was pleasantly surprised they have cooked rolls!! It's labeled on the menu for you to find them easily. They cut their cucumbers really thinly and it's marinated in the sauce perfectly! Will order this again. For their cooked rolls, you can't really go wrong with any but my favorites are the wagyu (surprise surprise) and unagi. The shrimp tempura was a little basic, but it's what you expect. I was a little caught off guard that they charge for sauces but I took a chance and that truffle soy sauce was SO GOOD. Easily would pay for it again. The service is quick and friendly. They serve you a roll at a time & you should eat it as it comes out. Shout out to Bryant for going over the menu with me to find the rolls I could eat :) I'll be back!!

Yelp
Been to the ROL in Huntington a few years back, and the one in Irvine is just as good! Highly recommend checking in on Yelp so you don't have to wait upon arriving. My partner and I got the 6 roll set and it was amazing. My fave was the toro of course. If you're in the area, come give it a try!

Yelp
Pretty good value for the lunch special. Fish was fresh and tasty. Line can be a bit long but worth the wait.

Yelp
Had an incredible experience at ROL. The service was absolute immaculate-our server was poliate, attentive, and very informative, which made the evening even more enjoyable. The hand rolls were exceptional, made with fresh sushi and perfectly crisp seaweed that added the right crunch. We ordered a set of seven hand rolls which includes spicy tuna, salmon, tuna crunch roll, scallop, blue crab, unagin and yellowtail. We also ordered a lobster into which was so GOOD. I highly suggest getting the truffle soy sauce to dip the rolls in, brings the flavor to a whole new level. The vibe of the place is amazing- chic yet relaxed. Highly recommend if you are looking for great sushi and a memorable dining experience. Handrolls made in front of your eyes !!!!!

Yelp
Rol is always an amazing time and the Irvine location is no exception! Finally made it in for their lunch special and let me tell you that is a steal! 4 hand rolls, edamame, and miso soup for $15?? Definitely will make my way back for this again soon

Yelp
Thank you Bryant for walking us thru the menu! My girlfriend doesn't eat raw fish, but Bryant gave us the run down of all the cooked options available. We couldn't have asked for better service anywhere else. He also recommended the truffle soy sauce, which was absolutely worth the upgrade. Premium rolls: A5 Wagyu & Uni Toro rolls. These were 5/5. No notes. It's difficult to gauge how full you'll be when ordering at the beginning, but here's my count: 7 Roll set, 1 premium roll, 2 shared appetizers. My girlfriend ate 5 rolls herself, alongside our 2 shared appetizers.

Yelp
Delicious! As a yuzu lover, I loved the yuzu sauce dip. We also got fresh wasabi, and truffle soy sauce (the truffle was very subtle). I liked all the rolls and I like that within the 6 roll set, you can substitute 2 for any others you may want to have that's not part of the set! I appreciate the customization. There's also a nice smell, and (Alex) servers are all nice too! I would come back for my next roll fix here.

Yelp
Service is fast and friendly. We ordered the 5 set, but I ordered a La carte since I have a shellfish allergy. They are pretty good at making sure they don't cross contaminate, so I appreciate that. The yellowtail is a must try as well as the spicy tuna crunch too. Those were my favorites. For appetizers we ordered the garlic chili edamame and it had a nice charred taste to it. A different and appreciated way of having edamame. The spicy tuna rice tartare was a miss for us. It had mayo at the bottom of the rice, so it was weird having mayo be the first thing you taste. Also, the rice tasted a bit stale? It's hard to describe but it wasn't my favorite. Everything else is good. Since this is a bar setup, be prepared to overhear other's conversations which doesn't bother me. I do wish it was darker in there as the sun kept getting in my eye or it reflected from a rice cooker anytime they opened it.
