A unique take on fusing sushi with burritos. Steak, fish, vegetarian, there are options for everyone, with a wide array of items to add to your creation. Local beers, organic soda, and a friendly and quick staff round out the experience nicely.

This is a must-eat restaurant in San Diego, especially if you're a fan of sushi! Their unique concept and twist to the traditional roll was a hit with me. Their staff is extremely friendly and helpful and willing to offer great suggestions. I have tried 3 different rolls, each were different but extremely delicious. They do offer a small parking lot, but can get filled quickly as it is shared with 3 other restaurants. Highly recommended.

This place exceeded my expectations. I love sushi and wasn't sure how this would compare. It's definitely a different experience, but a great one! Full of great flavor and texture combinations that play well together. And filling! They bring in fresh fish daily and service is very friendly.

I walked in the building and I was fascinated by the huge menu and the simple, cute decor. As I stared at the menu, the employees kindly asked me if it was my first time at Rolled Up. When I replied, "Yes" the employees then explained the process of ordering and even mentioned the items on the menu that people usually order. I could not decide between which sushi roll I wanted to eat, so I decided to buy 1/2 of a Surf & Turf roll and a 1/2 of a Philly roll. Overall, the environment was neat and cozy, the customer service and time that I received my order was great, and the food was delicious! I definitely look forward to coming back to Rolled Up to try the different items on the menu.

I love sushi. Sushi is my favorite food but I can rarely have it, since fresh, great quality sushi is expensive. This place is too good to be true. They serve sushi rolls the size of a buritto, for $11-13. I plan to go back to find a catch. In the meantime, I will recommend it to everyone who likes seafood

Truthfully I would give this restaurant a 3.5 based purely on the food. I went on a Thursday around 7:30 pm and was able to miss the long line and wait time which afforded the workers to give friendly service and focus on making a good roll. The ambience is mellow with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered a half upstream and half yellowtail roll and it tasted pretty good and noticeably fresh although the roll does fall apart a small bit at the end. But that's the problem. With the whole sushiritto fad that's been going on for a while now, it is pretty average without anything really setting it apart. In a major city like San Diego, quality like this is kind of expected from sushi/poke places. The restaurant is far from bad. But not amazing either. Being a little more adventerous with their ingredients wouldn't hurt

Burrito sized sushi rolls! The best way to describe the build out of Rolled Up is comparing it to a Subway or a Chipotle... except here you build the ULTIMATE sushi burrito. While there's a menu where all the choices are made for you, you can build your own roll if you want to be courageous and choose your own adventure. PROPS: Awesome concept, and a great addition to the area. The food is great, and the location has a distinct character... from their variety of "tame" vs "adult" fortune cookies... to their craft soda pop... to their sign next to their scheduled hours that basically says "the times, they are a-changing." SLOPS: I didn't know what Rolled Up was when walking by the first time. I saw no indication of the type of restaurant this was from the outside. I worry that this may negatively impact their random foot traffic.

Tried this place on my lunch break today and overall it was good. I ordered the Philly and the fish tasted fresh and had good flavor. My only real complaint is that it was wrapped in foil... when they cut it in half it left shredded foil everywhere! I had to pick it out and kind of ruined the experience for me. On a positive note they did give me a discount for being in uniform (EMT) so I appreciated that.
