Nice spot with plenty of space to move. 👌 No assistance stands for kids. 👍

I had a very pleasant time skating at this rink. The staff were very friendly, professional and helpful. It seems the management treats their staff well, which of course translates to great customer service. The skating area is really large, and the premises are very well maintained. I wasn't too impressed with the music selections, but then I did not try to request anything so it's probably on me. When I pass through this area again, I will definitely return to this rink. Great job Roller City.

Out of all the bad customer service you get and now expect everywhere you go these days, this place brings hope! Every single employee here was happy, smiled, and did anything they could to help little kids learn to skate. Every question was answered with a smile and positive attitude. I highly recommend this Roller City for birthdays and learning to skate!

Haven't skated in 25 years, but we're going to adult skate nights on Wednesdays & it's really so much fun. I didn't give 5-stars because the music choice is so-so. I bring my headphones now, but it'd be nice if they'd play top 40. I know you can't please everyone, but even my 28 yr old daughter didn't know any of the songs.

These guys were fantastic! We had my sons birthday party here and they took amazong care of us. The pizza is delicious and staff is very friendly and helpful. We will definatley be back.

Google
My favorite skate rink! I love it here and the staff is so super sweet and nice! They always help me with all my questions! Great birthday parties too! We’re planning our second party here now and have also attended a lot and always fantastic! Happy they serve beer here now too!

This place is great. 15$ and 5$ on Thursdays. My only complaints is that the bathrooms are so nasty beyond what words can explain, and the DJ on Saturdays is very unpleasant. I accidentally knocked someone over, helped them back up, said sorry like 3 times, then they complained about me to kiki. I then spent the next 10 minutes of my time being yelled at by kiki because I didn't apologize. Other than bathrooms and kiki, I love this place so much and come here every Thursday.

I was invited last minute on Thursday to join friends in roller skating at Roller City. I usually have a large group of tiny humans that accompany me. So I needed to plan accordingly for cost efficiency. Turns out Thursday is the day to go if you don't want to pay full price for an outing. From 5-8 pm admission is only $5 and skate rental is $3. Children 3 and under are free. Inline skates cost a bit more for rental. The team members were very friendly and accommodating. The rental skates were clean and the staff was wonderful in helping me. They have skates small enough for toddlers, which strap over the shoe. We found this helpful for at least two kids in our crew. Ages one and four. The d.j was on point with the music. She was able to bring me back to a younger time in my life. She made sure everyone was having a good time. Very professional the entire night. There were lockers provided as well as many cubbies to store our belongings. The restrooms were clean. There was an arcade and a space for throwing parties. The concession lady was nice as well as helpful. Prices were fair. The rink was smooth and the other skaters were not rude. I was teaching my child and not once did we get bumped or cussed. He was comfortable enough to let go of my hand. He did it! Without falling! The learning rink was also utilized by us most of the night. Needless to say we had a good time. We were able to make moments into memories because of this night. Now we will include more skating in our lives!

Yelp
Went here for a pop up music event. The rink is really big and there's a good amount outside of it to sit at tables and benches. Skate rental was cheap. The only thing I thought odd was that the bathrooms were porta potties (albeit very clean ones!) outside. So we had to ask for our shoes back because they don't want you to take rental skates outside.

Yelp
The rink needs to be releveled as there are foundational issues on the far end. Could end up being a hazard for kids if the planks start jutting out of the ground. Overall it was an ok experience coming here. What made for an initial great experience though was the person at the front. She was super bubbly and super down to earth. However the experience went downhill after that due to the rink's condition. I brought my own earbuds as the music playing was a bit painful and loud at different areas. This would be a great place to get start if you're interested in learning but other than that I probably won't return.

Yelp
I like this roller skating rink much more than the Skate City locations. It felt roomier, especially since they didn't have walls up on the outside of the rink. But keep in mind, if you have a beginner skater, there is very little to hold on to for most of the way around the rink. I didn't see any walker-like thingys to assist younger skaters either, like they had at Skate City when I visited. There was a small area outside of the rink for younger or beginner skaters to learn. Really nice staff and they had a good food selection when I visited. It wasn't very crowded either. Lots of seating all the way around the rink. And they had a huge separate eating/party area with a few arcade games. It's a little far in Lakewood (across from the Belmar area) but it'll be my go to place from now on when my kid wants to roller skate.

Yelp
Wednesday Adult Night is my favorite day to skate from 7 PM to 10 PM. The Owner always makes my husband and I feel right at home. He is professional and his DJ skills are wicked. He knows all the best disco classics and the most modern music to play for his skaters. While staying on top of his employees. My husband and I are from Louisiana and trying to keep skating alive! We bring our own Harlick Roller Skates made in California, USA. For the past 10+ years we have made it our goal to skate in each state! We love to JAM, slow walk, free style, and couple dance skate on Adult Skate Night. Also, I enjoy a smooth hard wood floor to dance skate on. This skate floor is not wood. I am not sure what this floor is made from, it was smooth and BLUE. It is the best floor in the Denver area to practice for a competition. Though it was the busiest adult night, and the positive vibe was intoxicating. The crew here filled the floor. I mean wow what a night! This is a huge clean place to hold many large parties. There is a small practice floor by the food counter. If you are learning a new trick or have no clue how to skate. The Denver area is my favorite place to skate in AMERICA. To sum up this skate review 5 Stars for best Owner, Music, skate floors, and biggest crew!

Yelp
as a lifetime skater, i love the layout and skate floor. it doesn't have railing around the entire rink but i like the openness and the bench seating around the rink. the rink does look larger than neighboring skate rinks but the openness may add to that feeling as well. floor isn't too slippery which is a plus as well. music was good as well. if you are coming for the games & food, maybe rethink your choice. but if you are coming to skate, this is the place! went for a private event that sold alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks and was perfect!

Yelp
This place would be fun for anyone who's already capable of rollerskating and has no interest in playing video/machine games. We attended for a birthday party, the space is amazing, the food is fairly priced. They don't provide any support for skaters coming to learn. As a parent, I was holding unto my 7 year old but they asked me to not to stay in the skating area without skates- I was only on the side holding my child's hand as she was preparing and learning to skate for the first time. More than half the video machines are out of order, the ones that do work are incredibly dirty and smudges everywhere. None of the hand sanitizers were filled (this was Saturday just before noon). The bathrooms are gross, no soap, piss all over one side of the floor. The staff is friendly, really just there to show face and check off the box. I wouldn't recommend this place.

Sydney G.

Yelp
What an amazing roller rink. I love the music it is such a vibe and totally danceable. 10/10 would recommend.

Yelp
Loved this place! Wednesday nights from 7-9pm is adult night, and wow... as a beginner I did not fit in but it's okay because vibes were high and it was a fun experience. There's a little side skating practice rink that you can use if you're really struggling (I was there most the time).

Yelp
I celebrated my 33rd birthday at Roller City. I purchased the birthday package, and I have to tell you - it was not worth it. The service was pretty good, but when I arrived it seemed as if nobody knew there was a reservation. Although there was a "private" room, it was accessible for kids to be able to walk/skate through. So we didn't exactly have privacy. There were also no decorations given, it was very bare. The package says there are two free pizzas and pitchers of soda, but we had to ask for that. We also ended up buying more food and the food here is nothing short of frozen food. So having a total in the hundreds most definitely wasn't worth it. As far as the skating rink - I think the DJ and the rink were spectacular. There were many kids, which I understand. Although we made the best of it - I do not recommend the birthday packages. Next time I will go to adult night or something.

Yelp
I have never skated before and I could not think of a better introduction to it than the one I had at Roller City. During the morning hours of Saturday seems to be a pretty slow time here with a good amount of children. It's $5 a person for entry which is a steal for how good of a time it is (not to mention that it's a great workout). The staff will also very kindly show you how to skate if you ask or if you look like you're having trouble. I did not try any of the food or arcade games so cannot write regarding that. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
If you're looking to feel nostalgic, this is the place. There is a DJ booth, disco ball, and colorful lights just like when us old folks were teenagers. The only things missing are the hair band t-shirts and mullets/feathered hair. This place is tucked behind the McDonald's on Alameda just east of Wadsworth and Alameda. Think across from Belmar so it is easy to pass by. I have brought my kids here several times since they opened and I prefer it to Skate City and not just because it is closer. It's newer and doesn't have that "hasn't been redone since the invention of the wheel" vibe to it. There is also a smaller "practice" floor for the little ones to use. I do wish it had wooden floors but maybe that was something done back east where I grew up and not here. It's not too expensive but I guess it's relative. I don't know what I paid way back when. We probably bartered in exchange for skating as I don't think paper currency was a thing in the colonies until the war. My reasons for 4 stars instead of 5: They recently disallowed the trainers on the regular floor. I get why but where I learned, there were walls on all 4 sides; 2 at waist height and the other 2 the actual building walls and there was a nailed in railing to hold onto. This place there isn't anything to hold onto. They got rid of a number of the video games. I get you aren't here to play but when you advertise the arcade, make sure there are games to play. Sometimes it's hard to grab someone because they float around. By that I mean there is one person doing the skates and snack bar so it can be difficult to get *****Trainers are no longer available*****

Yelp
I will be the first to admit that I am a very novice skater and had my reservations about coming here. I met a friend for the adult skate night on a Sunday evening and had a blast. $17 for 3 hours of skating including skate rental. What a deal! The skates were actually quite comfortable and in great condition for rentals. The music was a big mix from disco to 80s to rap and rock- great vibe. The only part of the night that bothered me were the more proficient skaters that were flying in and out of the crowd causing other to fall or crash. It was obnoxious and unnecessary. Next time I will say something either to them or management.

Jonathan W.

Yelp
Bring ear plugs and your own skates if you have to go here. The music was painfully loud. They had no inline skates for rent. I learned last night that inline skating and square wheels skating are entirely different skills.
google avatar

Ashley M.

Yelp
This gem brings back all the nostalgia of growing up skating at a rink! They do a great job keeping things clean and the skate rink is in great condition. Rentals are nice and the Dj was plying all the good songs! everytime I go I think to myself - why don't I do this more often! Thank you Roller a city for keeping roller skating alive!
google avatar

Kate B.

Yelp
We went for the beginner skate time on Saturdays from 10am-12pm. It was great because it wasn't crowded and I could walk on the rink in my shoes to help my daughter. Steve, a Roller City employee gave my daughter pointers and really helped her gain confidence. Steve kept checking on her and cheering her on the entire 2 hours. We will be back!
google avatar

Elisha F.

Yelp
Was trying to book both my daughters Bdays & sent out an email with some questions & got no response, its been a month... I also reached out again via that same email thread, and a new one and still no luck... so I just booked at skate city instead, but wanted this place due to its cleaner and newer appearance.

Yelp
We had a great night at Roller City. Good music, safe environment, well managed!

Yelp
Love the Adult nights on Wednesdays, and everything about this place is legit. Good crowd and big rink make for very enjoyable experience overall

Yelp
So fun. The music is great. If it's been awhile....just get standard roller skates with 4 wheels. It'll probably take a couple of laps but then you'll be a pro. Can't wait to go back!!!

Yelp
We visited on Monday the 27th of January, for our schools skate night. We had such a great time! The staff is so amazing with the kiddos. One person especially is Kiki. She literally made my sons night. She didnt have to, but she went above and beyond for my little guy and I cant thank her enough! This place is great for all ages! It's super affordable AND they have a dairy-free/gluten free pizza option! We will definitely be coming back ALLLLLL the time!

Yelp
wednesday adult skate night is so fun!! the best music to skate to! Black lights everywhere. greatly priced.
google avatar

Jack C.

Yelp
My friend and I arrived 1 hr before closing and we had a great time. Staff is nice. The place is big and has lockers to keep your items secure with a .50 cent rental charge. We rented skates with no problem.
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Newer - one year old - with the biggest skating rink in Denver, cleaner and less crowded than Skate City, no confining walls at the edge of the rink, great music that's not too loud, friendly staff, and they have newer, good quality rental skates at no extra charge. What's not to like? - Great place! PS giving 1 star for, "only having regular and inline skates for rent", is evil and callous - as those are the only kinds of skates that anyone rents...
google avatar

Amy E.

Yelp
So much fun!!! I love the open floor layout! Highly recommend skating here! Music is popping! Employees are always friendly! Great family establishment!
google avatar

Brandon D.

Yelp
Best Roller Rink in town!!! It's one of the largest I've ever been too. I love the vibes from all the employees. It's also very clean and organized. I'd say the only thing I didn't like was the music but that's why I wear my AirPods.
google avatar

Daniel L.

Yelp
@RobinW, are you ever happy with anything? 90% of your reviews are 1 star and griping about everything. Roller City just reopened, you can't expect everything to be perfect from the jump. If you don't like it go to Skate City and leave Roller City for those of us that prefer a new Rink instead of a janky place. @ChristinaY, t's a new building, and they can't give stuff away for free, they have to make money to stay in business. It's totally reasonable to have them set rules so the public doesn't destroy the place. Any RollerSkating Rink in the world doesn't let you have Skates on in the area where tables are, if you fall, you can kill yourself. DUH... Roller City, keep up the good work. I'm sure the kinks will be worked out soon. Don't let the haters ruin it, you're amazing and I for one am happy you're back.
google avatar

Matthew B.

Yelp
Totally enjoy skating here! 4 stars cause I so wish they'd play more hip hop and r&b than techno or remixes. Also it'd be cool to have a 21+ skate night! Overall,
google avatar

Abel H.

Yelp
Great spot, very friendly staff and engaging. Great covid socia distancing. Good music selection also.

Hayden H.

Yelp
very good rink overall but I would recommend bringing own roller blades if you are planning to rent roller blades, their blades are very cheep and uncomfortable. for example their boots dont buckle and the padding isn't in the shoe. if you bring your own blades it is a joyful experience.8
google avatar

Lara I.

Yelp
We always go skating in different cities because our 14 year old loves to roller skate, this place is the best we have ever been to!! The people who reviewed and only gave it 1 star, clearly you have never been to other skating rinks.... this place was clean, friendly, HUGE, played good music, was a great value and again, the best roller rink we have been to out of many, many places!!

Ariana Y.

Yelp
Looks like it's a nice roller rink but we aren't being diverse in regards to the music so hopefully this establishment can get on a well rounded Pandora station for its guess. White techno music may be wonderful we do have other genres of music that other skaters would love to vibe to during their stay. And also I have noticed that the manager has responded to everyone's comment minus the suggestions of the music? Why is that?

Giselle D.

Yelp
Not much, Love the place but the only 2 problems I don't like personally is how they always put the same music every time I'm there. Like be creative and add more music..and the 2nd problem is you can't re-enter anymore..instead pay againLike for what?
google avatar

Christina J.

Yelp
The owners did a great job renovating this old skate rink! It was very clean and well-laid out and the prices were fair. We'll definitely go back!

Jordy M.

Yelp
The floor is actually very good to skate on. There is seating on the side so if you get tired you can just sit on them without leaving the big floor. It's also very easy to get out of the big floor. If you don't know how to skate there is a little floor for you to skate on. The only problem about roller city is if you rent rollerblades/inline skates, there not that good and do actually hurt your ankle. If you have your own rollerblades/inline skates I would recommend coming here.
google avatar

Robin W.

Yelp
Way Overpriced! Retro NOT! Snack bar food looked like it was from the 70's. Arcade not for younger kids. Lots of OLD folks there-reliving their youth!Extremely Disorganized! For the price, go to Skate City so everyone can skate, eat and play games!
google avatar

Shanon J.

Yelp
Don't have a good variety of skates. Only inline and regular. Should get more options.
google avatar

Mike B.

Yelp
This place is clean, well kept, every thing is brand new and the staff could not be friendlier. The owner is passionate about his rink and treats every customer with kindness. Best roller rink we have been to as a family. Highly recommend! A+++
google avatar

Charlotte N.

Yelp
Don't try and book a birthday party. You can call for months, email, and Facebook message with no response. Got one message promising to call back, never did. Finally got through to owner, she promised to check schedule and call me back the next day. Never did. Horrible customer communication, now I am not interested in going this summer. Will continue taking my daughter to Skate City instead though it is further away. I really wanted to patronize this place, but 16 attempts to communicate using 3 different methods with no response is insane.
google avatar

Laura V.

Yelp
Definitely the nicest rink, nice staff and the owners are dedicated to keeping this tradition alive. Clean as well. Love the look. Price is excellent for the hours you can spend in there. Includes skates too, although I have my own. People spend that kind of money sitting at a 2 hour movie. I get my exercise while having fun dancing on my skates. Well worth spending time there.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
My son LOVES to skate. I'm so happy there is now a local small business in the neighborhood. We had a great time over spring break. Loved there was no two hour time limit (we skated for 6 hours). Great family environment, my son saw a few of his friends there. The separate "warm-up rink" is a fantastic idea. Plenty of cubbies for your belongings and lockers for valuables. Yes it was a bit pricey but we were entertained the whole day. Also liked the colors and open floor plan. Music was a great volume I didn't have to scream to be heard. The staff was nice and seemed to be enjoying their job. I thought the "Memory Lane" sign over the old drinking fountain was a cute touch. All in all great experience we will be back.

Ben M.

Yelp
Love this place. Friendly staff, clean, great rink. We go here every weekend. Will start to go twice a week. For those of you with less than 5 stars, for shame as you know damn well, this is the best place to actually skate in town.

Melissa B.

Yelp
What is Denver's best kept secret and a hidden gem for all ages? The new and renovated Roller City! Roller City is a true, family-friendly environment. It has a great vibe! It's clean and the staff is awesome! Let's not forget, the owners (onsite most nights) are awesome too! Forget about a two-hour window! Their main skate sessions are 3-6 hours long! Roller City currently has prizes, drawings and the cutest, fluorescent puppy mascot for the kiddos! We will definitely book my son's birthday party here and my mom's who will be 78! Thank you, Roller City for making a cool, nostalgia comeback and where fun has no age limit!!!!

Richard R.

Yelp
On 06/29/19 my wife and I decided to go skating because I use to teach skating when I was young and my wife had only been skating once. The first thing I notice when arriving at Roller City that there weren't very many people there skating. On the plus side, they were very inexpensive but then that just explains why their skates are in need of maintenance. When getting back in practice I was going backward and when I tried to stop by using the stoppers I instead fell hard on the cement floor and ended up with a broken wrist because of Roller City's negligence, due to the fact that the stoppers were worn down to the point that they were useless. I did give consideration to filing a lawsuit against Roller City's negligence, however, I do believe in giving someone a second chance and letting them learn from their mistakes. In conclusion, I hope that Roller City will address this problem by maintaining their safety equipment so I and others will feel more confident and safe. P.S. It wouldn't hurt them if they have someone there that has had First Aid and Basic Life Skills training as well.

Christina Y.

Yelp
I am very unhappy about the service of this roller rink. We paid $40 to be yelled at more than we were skating. We couldn't even sit with our kids at the table when we had our skates on. We were told to take our hats off when we walked in the building as it was one of their rules and 10 minutes later we see 5 different people with their hats on. We were told we were going "too fast" on the rink when we passed someone. Me and my family will not be returning and it definitely was not worth the money we spent.

Stephanie A.

Yelp
So one of the employees named Caleb is such a sweetheart and is so so so helpful! I love this place my daughter is a regular and she has a crush on Caleb. Her name is Alya. IF THE OWNER READS THIS THAT BOY DESERVES A RAISE!!! He's wonderful

Amy G.

Yelp
Oh Roller City! How I missed you! Things always seem bigger as a kid though don't they... Well the new rink is very clean and nice. Love the small kiddy rink/warm-up area. Thought it was awesome that you don't charge for your skate trainers. My daughter was happy to use it for a few laps to get her confidence back and I was happy to not to have to pay for something she used for 5 mins! I would appreciate a pricing structure that gave you a discount for bringing your own skates though. The music was ok and the lighting sequences were underwhelming. I know I'm being overly critical now but can we stop giving sugary sodas as a prize and go back to giving an actual fun and still cheap prizes like glow bracelets... or at least have an option that isn't pure sugar. Overall my kids had a great time and I am happy to have a rink back in Lakewood!

J N.

Yelp
We have always loved this place for family fun night. We usually rent the Trainor so that our kids can go out to the big rink with us where there are colored lights and music, but unfortunately we got there paid for the trainor ( Non refundable) and then was told that we needed " to get off" ... I asked why... it was because there were kids flinging the trainor around and knocked out some skaters down- which is terrible. So the banded the trainor on there. You can only use the trainor on the baby rink.. What 14 year old wants to be around toddlers skating. I truly believe that if that was the case they need to kick those kids off, don't let them ruin it for other families that tries to come and spend time together. We are not sure if we will return due to this.
