Portland Seafood Bar Pan Roast Will Open Downtown in 2024 | Eater Portland

"Founded by Ryan Moy in 2017, Rollin’ Fresh is a local sushi-burrito chain he opened as an homage to his mother; Moy launched the first location in 2017 after moving to Portland 15 years ago. He owns the chain locally and, despite often craving pan roasts himself, chose not to add another Rollin’ Fresh to the upcoming food hall, instead opening the dedicated pan roast seafood bar." - Brooke Jackson-Glidden

Amazing spot for sushi burritos!! I had the Portlandia this time, incredible as always. We’ve been going to Rolling Fresh for years. Tried the Salmon skin with the sauce which seems new and is SUCH A GOOD addition! Top favorite spot in Portland always. Also lush greenery and the server was incredibly friendly and kind. Always getting a sushi burrito when we’re in Portland.

I recently ordered takeout from Rollin' Fresh, known for their unique sushi burritos. When I opened the to-go containers, the presentation was somewhat underwhelming. The dishes didn’t look particularly appealing visually, which initially had me concerned about the overall quality. Despite the lackluster appearance, the taste of the food was excellent. Here’s a breakdown of what I tried: I ordered a "City of Roses." This dish included spicy tuna, shrimp tempura, ahi tuna, cucumber, jalapeño crisp, cream cheese, and kick-back salsa. I opted for the poki bowl style instead of the sushi burrito, and I was not disappointed. All the ingredients were fresh and flavorful. The combination of spicy tuna and ahi tuna with the crunch of shrimp tempura and jalapeño crisp created a delightful mix of textures and tastes. The fried cream cheese was a standout element, adding a rich and creamy contrast to the dish. As a side, I ordered the Pioneer Poppers, which are jalapeños stuffed with cream cheese and salmon, then fried. They were served with a sweet teri aioli, which complemented the spicy and savory poppers perfectly. These also hit the spot and were a delicious addition to the meal. Despite the initial visual impression, Rollin' Fresh delivered on taste. The fresh ingredients and thoughtful combinations in both the City of Roses poki bowl and Pioneer Poppers made for a satisfying meal. If you're looking for flavorful and fresh sushi-inspired dishes, Rollin' Fresh is worth trying. Don’t let the presentation deter you; the taste more than makes up for it. Whether you go for their signature sushi burritos or try the poki bowl style, you’re likely to enjoy a delicious meal.

Rollin Fresh is a different take on sushi. It’s well priced and bigger than a hand roll. Whether you order a signature sushi burrito or a deep friend sushi burrito you get to choose to have it as is or in a bowl. Since it was our first time we chose to experience it as is. I would recommend it, no pressure. Lol. Order was the City of Roses, it tasted neutral, a little tangy, and had fishy flavor to it. It has a crunch to it tempura shrimp and jalapeño crisp. Also ordered was the deep fried Fresh prince. The taste reminds me of a Godzilla roll without the spiciness. The Teri-aioli it comes with is savory and a good combination with the fresh prince. It tastes like peanut sauce. We got a couple sides too, edamame which was just edamame lol. It needs a little more salt but was fine. My favorite thing, and I highly recommend ordering it was the salmon skin chips. It’s exactly that salmon skin but fired until extra crispy. Super good, and crunchy. It goes really well with the blazin salsa. I’ll say nothing was as spicy as it sounds. I would say out of a 10(that being super spicy) it was a 2. Parking was easy to find. It’s part of a building where there’s 2 other food spots, so there’s options for parties. The customer service wasn’t fancy or great but that’s fine. There is plenty of seating and easy to get a spot. The whole location is cute, welcoming, and friendly.

We come here at least once a month and always consistently great. This is definitely our exclusive sushi burrito spot. Got the back by popular demand “sea-v-chay” super fresh and delicious. Also the staff that took our order was very friendly. We will continue to keep coming back!

Walk in off the street and order from the table. Our food was brought to us with a smile that felt genuine. Along with the food, they have fun fountain drink choices. I had pineapple cream soda. Everything was excellent. I would go again.

Sushi burritos! I’ve heard that these can be hit or miss depending on location, and I’ve gotta say the En Fuego was amazing. There was a mix of textures and flavors to keep it interesting and tasty. I also love the atmosphere here with the outdoor fire pit seating!

Was eating next door and wanted a draft beer -- they suggested I order one here. I fully understand that some kegs pour foamy, but if I pay for a pint, I expect the bartender to put in the extra 30 seconds to make sure the pour is decent. Photo is the "pint" I was poured before taking a sip.
