I very much enjoy coming here during my lunch hour, their CHICKEN RICE BOWL IS SO GOOD , TASTY AND IS ALWAYS FRESH. the restaurant is super clan and the guy at the register is super friendly. The tables are always clean the entire restaurant is a 5***, The chef is good , all the food I had ordered is always good. I have been coming here for over 1 year and is delicious. -fresh food -tasty and good portions -Vegetables always taste fresh. -good prices. Everything in their menu is super good.

This small restaurant really is my favorite, Chef Andy is always serving fresh and delicious food, we have tried many sushi places and by far, Rolling Rice is better. You must try and see for yourself. You will not find it on social media as.his traditional way of getting known is thru customer recommendations, please visit him and check out his creations. You will love it!.

Horrible people work here Editing to reply: I came in with my 7 year old daughter who had a nosebleed. I **kindly** asked if we could use their bathroom. It would have taken maybe 1 minute. I was told no, it was for paying customers only and the "boss would get mad". I didn't have time to be a paying customer, I needed to wash the blood off of my child before she started dripping blood on the floor. Basic kindness would be allowing a child to use the bathroom. I was not rude, I left as soon as the guy behind the register said we couldn't use it and said "it's for my child, I'm sure your boss wouldn't mind". I was ignored and he went back to the empty restaurant and back on his phone To call me disrespectful is such a joke, I have worked in customer service practically my whole life and go out of my way to give everyone the benefit of the doubt and treat everyone kindly. But not allowing a bleeding child to wash her face in my eyes constitutes being 'horrible people'.

Found this place yesterday. I had to come back today. Great food and service. Will definitely return.

It's pricey for small portion. The sushi is fresh but the chicken and beef bowl is not. Either they over cook it or it was left over. The meat was med to hard on the outside. Too much rice to meat ratios. Wouldn't try again.

This place is amazingly affordable. If you like authentic freshly made Japanese food you don't need to spend a fortune in a fancy restaurant. I travel to Tokyo many times: this place is not that far off. However if the placement of utensils and the decoration on your plates are important to you do not go

This is 100% my favorite place to pick up sushi. I always place my order on Grubhub and it's ready exactly when it says and is ALWAYS fresh. I ask for extra wasabi and soy sauce (no ginger) and they always accommodate my requests. The guy at the counter is so nice and friendly and provides the best customer service! He always remembers me when I walk in since I place pick up orders frequently (basically any time I'm in the area). The only downside is that they are closed on Sunday's. But it's only because I'm sad when I can't order from them when I'm in the area lol!! The spicy tuna rolls are my absolute favorite thing to get here - 10/10 The Firecracker roll is delicious!! 10/10 The California rolls and Shrimp Tempura rolls are also good - 9/10 The Vegetable Tempura Combo was good also - 8/10 I haven't tried anything else because my usual order is the E.Maki combo and a spicy tuna roll. The inside is super clean, including the bathroom. I highly recommend eating here whether it's for dine in or pick up. It is not a large place so it's probably better for smaller parties.

Great service! Delicious food! Chicken yakisoba is delicious! Their sushi is also good. I like their baked langostino.

I have driven past this location many times on my way to Ontario mills and finally decided to give it a try. There are menus both on the counter where the register is as well as overhead. The pictures made it clear what would be included with each plate. We dined in so our food was brought to our table. The dragon roll we ordered had fresh avocado and the eel was delicious. The teriyaki chicken and beef plate was very filling. This location was clean and I will definitely be returning.

I finally made it at Rolling Rice this past weekend when they were actually open. You see... they close at 7:00 PM on Saturdays and are closed on Sundays. I seem to come to the plaza where it is located after 7:00 PM on my usual Saturday visit primarily because of Pho Bambu (right next door to Rolling Rice). Anyway, I was just so thrilled to catch Rolling Rice open. This place has a cute ambiance. Staff was friendly and nice. Upon entry, I asked if I may order since it was 6:42 PM at the time. The gentleman said their last order time is 6:45 PM so I was good. I asked what is good. He said everything. Okay, well I wasn't going to order everything. He recommended a few sushi rolls especially the Love Love Roll. They do have a good selection of different food items on the menu from sushi rolls to yakisoba noodles to sushi bowls and so much more. I ended up getting the following 4 sushi rolls... 1. Love Love Roll - This was fantastic in taste and texture. So very good! Too bad it only comes in 4 pieces. I loved it though! Must get and will get again! 2. Rainbow Roll - This is usually my go-to sushi roll. But unfortunately, I didn't care for it from here. Fishes were fresh, but the crab meat filling did not have any taste to it... no sweetness whatsoever. There needs to be some balance in sweetness between the fishes and crab meat. 3. Firecracker Roll - I liked this roll. Everything in it balanced well. Good job! 4. Crunch Roll - I did not care for this roll. Too much sauce on top of the roll. It did not WOW me whatsoever. Will not get again! I will probably be back here next time to try their other food items if I can catch them before 7:00 PM. I just don't know when that will be. Wish me luck!!!

This place is a good place to go for sushi , my family eats it once a week and if my 16 yr old could she would have it twice a week

It's always clean. I love the chicken beef bowl. They have good quality & prices. It's my go to place when I want something fresh & healthy.

Everything looks delish at this place. Food is made fresh to order. We ordered the beef n chicken teriyaki plate and was very tasty. The side salad had a very delish dressing. Portions were perfect.

The first place I have tried sushi, years ago when it was only california rolls and crunchy rolls. This place has upgraded. Still a order and pay ahead of time concept. The service was fast and you can see them make it. Beef veggie bowl was really good. Brought back a good memory.

I've been wanting to try this place and I am glad we ended up here. It was lonely. There was one couple there when we arrived and they left half way through our meal so it was perfect for a relaxing lunch. The server was kind and got us our food pretty quickly. I would come back here just for the vegetable tempura roll. I know, doesn't even sound real but it was so delicious. My go to roll is the baked salmon which is what I got and it was good but that tempura roll was my last bite. It was the one I wanted to savor. My son loved his roll and I enjoyed mine.

Probably 2.5 Not bad, not great. It's quick. It's convenient. Kinda pricey for what you're getting. It is the IE. I work out here and I was returning my millions of online purchases to UPS. It's probably best if you avoid too many raw items here. IJS. Service is always pretty good. It's fast casual. My wasabi and ginger came out in plastic sauce containers.

This place is a hit and miss. If you dine in the food is great. If you take out it's pretty disappointing

This is one of my favorite places to grab sushi for lunch when I'm at work or just have a busy day. The service is always great, if you want to walk in and walk out I recommend calling in! Sushi can be a toss up but I can say every time I've ordered it here, it's always been great, the food is affordable and not overpriced. Inside of the restaurant is clean if you'd like to dine in. One of our favorites is the sweet potato tempura, my mom loves it and always orders the tempura with JUST sweet potato and they never say no! Stop by if you're looking for some great sushi without breaking the bank.

Everytime i come into office, this place is a must stop for me and my coworkers. Their rolls are fresh and taste amazing!

We came here because we was in the shopping center and wanted some food. He found the spot and decided to order some food for us. The eatery is next door to juice it up, we wanted something different so we tried it. When you walk in the cashier register is just ahead , greet with a nice fellow, it's a cozy environment not too big not too small, and the music is so good lol. They was jamming. He order half and half bowl ( chicken teriyaki and beef) and a roll of sushi, I'm not sure which kind because I wanted there when the order was placed, whatever it was it had shrimp in it. The food was so good and fresh and hot, we loved every minute of it, the roll was amazing as well, the table was quite lol. We came back recently as well and same service same food nothing changed, it was good.

Great little place in the corner of Milliken and 4th St. I enjoy having lunch here. The food is always good and fresh. I haven't tried the sushi yet, but the teriyaki is bomb!

It's locally owned by Chef Andy Kim! The food is amazing, from rice bowls to Sushi!! The restaurant is small but is still able to sit 8 people together.

Food: The Heart Attack "Roll" is the best thing at this place! Okay so I haven't tried anything else... ever... and I've been here probably a half dozen times, so I'm basing the rest of the food on this one item. But still... Service: No complaints, every time I have been here the servers were nice and food came out quick. Mind you, this is not a "fast food" place so give it some time. Atmosphere: It's a small place inside, only 7-ish tables so make sure you don't come with a big group. They do have a restroom which is a plus. Cute decorations, good lighting, no complaints. Price: The price for a combo is 15$ which isn't too bad. Can you find cheaper? Probably... but it's a good size portion and in my opinion, it's pretty good. Plus, they have a mix of items... rolls, Sashimi, udon, it's a good variety and fairly decent price. Overall: Why haven't you gone and gotten a Heart Attack roll yet? Why are you reading this and not going to get one right now??? Put down the phone and go get one. It's a bit spicy though... just warning. NOTE: Every time I visit a sushi place, I am looking for something comparable to the Heart Attack combo and i haven't found an adequate substitute...

Rolling Rice is a cool place to roll through for lunch. Clean, cooled environment. It's a little small but it's a great place for a quick lunch. Music is not too loud, good for conversation with coworkers. Food selection is great. I got the California crunch plate. Comes with white rice, salad, teriyaki chicken and California crunch roll. Service is cordial and fast. Food was good and fresh, made to order. Highly recommend for a good lunch in the Ontario, Mills area.

If you're looking for some fresh sushi and quick friendly service, this is definitely the place! Always greeted as soon as I walk in by two young men, the dining area is always kept nice & tidy. The spicy tuna roll and golden california roll are aaaamazing. My husband loves the dynamite roll as well. Happy to live 5m away! Highly recommend!

The sushi here was super fresh! I found this place by accident while trying to get a reservation to revolving sushi place across the street. Good food, Clean restaurant. The only complaint is that their drink selection is really limited. Other than that I would recommend.

Not your traditional Sushi joint, Rolling Rice offers a variety of plates with a combination of grilled meats, sushi rolls, potstickers, salads, udon and ramen. You order at the counter and are served either in a styrofoam box or on a styrofoam plate. The portions are reasonable, but you won't get full on just one plate, get a side. The prices are a bit high for the quality of the food, service and portion size in my humble opinion. On the plus side the staff was helpful and friendly and there is plenty of parking in the shared lot.

Now the chicken bowl is my favor and go to item. But I'm trying to get my veggies in so instead of rice got veggies but they charged an extra 3 dollars. Food is always fresh and hot. It's probably prepared when ordered but you have to wait a few. Never longer but when you get that hot and streamy bowl you will be so excited. Yes I would recommend but they are closed on Sunday.

Me and my daughter just love the service , food is so flavorful and quick plus fresh and hot . The sushi we love the best has cooked salmon on it ( out favorite ) and let's not forget chicken Katu . Will return and let others know it's yummy :)

Time for an update! I've gone here and there and I think twice during all of COVID, the latest being the other day. I got: - chicen teriyaki & shrimp/assorted tempura plate - extra shrimp tempura - egg rolls - gyoza It was all good regarding flavor. The teriyaki chicken was a little hard and the portion size was quite a tiny amount. I know everyone wants to cut down on costs, but that was really small. The lettuce salad was also small with just a dab of salad dressing.

I haven't tried their food yet so can't give 5 star... place was busy when I stop by to get the menu! Will be trying them soon. They have sushi and plates looks interesting. No outside seating or inside available only take out food for now. You can call ahead and order for convenience, this way you don't have to wait outside the store. Will try them soon and make a more detail review. Menu date 09/2020 prices subject to change at owners discretion.

I had the heart attack combo stuffed jalapeños with spicy tuna & crab meat. Packed a punch with the spices and flavor. Perfect serving for lunch. I also added on the crunch roll which was tasty. I ordered by phone and by the time I got there they were finishing up my order great customer service on the phone and in person. Will definitely go back.

Great spot if you want a quick and tasty meal. I got the crunch roll plate, and it was perfect for a filling meal without making you too stuffed. Everything on that plate was delicious and it came with a drink which was a nice perk. Will definitely be back to try other items.

Been here couple times and starting to feel like a regular here starting to Kno my order lol food great too and good customer service. Always asking if your ok or need anything. I say never hurt to try new things and new places but this is a place to try

Ordered a Washington, Alaskan and Hawaiian roll and enjoyed them. Place is busy so I would suggest you call it in if you're having it for lunch.

Ugh, I totally miss dropping by this place for a fast quick bite of either a dragon roll, Jen Jen roll, rainbow roll, or an order of their fried gyoza. Can't wait till it's safe again to get food from here!

One of my favorite go-to's. The assorted sashimi bowl is always so good. Large pieces, tasty sauces. The tempura is also really good, crispy, and a good amount. Fair price for the amount of food. And above all, service is always super friendly. For best results, I recommend ordering for takeout. Even pre-Covid, that's my method of choice. The food comes nicely packaged for easy eating at home in front of the TV.

I Ordered a sushi combo that included a drink and a salad after I purchased I asked if I can trade my salad for a mitso soup they denied me saying that the salad is more expensive than the soup and they didn't want to refund me the difference I said I wasn't asking for a refund they still didn't honor my request. I work for a business with allot of employees I will not recommend this place. And the salad horrible!

It was an amazing lunch! I called in and asked if I can order over the phone and they had no problem doing it! When I arrived it was already packed and ready to go! Everything was fresh! And packaged really good! So no spills whatsoever! And the service was great! Employees were great!

I can see why the ratings are not fabulous. Basic belly filler Japanese fare. So-so spicy tuna roll and a mediocre yakisoba with chicken. Bad salad. Disinterested service, no place to sit outside, no trash can for your trash.

This place was disgusting. I ate there and my "fresh fish" was warm. I have never had sushi melt inside my mouth. I came home and after a couple hours I got food poisoning and I do not recommend eating here. Staff was nice but the sushi is not cuttin it.

They close at dinner time and apparently they think I work for them. If I go in close to closing they always ask me to close up the doors for them on the way out because they are too lazy to walk across their ten foot sink g area. I don't work here. And now, I also don't eat here. How dare you ask me to help close up shop for you.

We love it here the girl at the counter is awesome fast and on point when you calling in to place an order. We love the lobster roll crunch plate with chicken and the heart attach is delicious

We were hungry & craving some sushi, after a hard leg workout. We also needed to go to the Mills to handle some things. So we stopped into Rolling Rice. The chicken was so-so. The rolls were good, but because they were served in a cardboard plate, they were getting stuck to it. When picking up the roll from the cardboard plate we would loose almost half of it. It was frustrating trying to get the rest of the roll off the plate.

Wasn't the freshest fish. Smelled a lil fishy, not bad but you could tell it wasn't super fresh.
