Rolling Smoke BBQ - Stanley Marketplace

Overpriced , for mediocre sides. Potato salad has zero mustard, and coleslaw has zero flavor. Needs an acid to enhance it like vinegar. Brisket was dry but enhanced with spicy bbq sauce, and spicy mustard. Brisket is pretty damn solid! 24 or 25 dollars.

I ordered the hot link sandwich. No mayo, no toppings, about 5 half’s of a hot link on a bun. I also got a side of cole slaw which was an extra charge. I added that to my sandwich. It wasn’t terrible but I did not enjoy my meal. I don’t know what is missing but hot links on a dry bun with nothing else is lazy and amateur. The total was $16. Front counter worker seemed unhappy with life.

Great food, friendly employees and very helpful. Fries are well seasoned and so good. Worth the price and will definitely go again to try more.

Hands down the best brisket I’ve ever had for this price range, and the best I’ve had anywhere in Denver. Their pork is decent too. The baked beans are also really good like the best I’ve ever had so yummy. They have free water and good sauces. I would definitely recommend.

I've eaten here several times and I like it. I have celiac and they are mindful of keeping things separate to avoid cross contamination. They also let you know if anything you want to order isnt celiac safe. I usually have the brisket with beans and collard greens. I've never had an issue and so enjoy the food.

Best wings I ever ate in my life, and it's not even close. Very meaty and tender, and super-flavorful. I'm from New Jersey and visit Denver from time to time, and I will never not visit Denver again without visiting Rolling Smoke.

I visited Rolling Smoke at the marketplace on Saturday, 12/13, with my family and placed an order totaling nearly $60. When the tip screen appeared, I added a custom $4 tip. As anyone who’s been here knows, there is no real “table service” — you pick up your own food, no one checks on your table, and no one clears plates or offers refills. What happened next was surprising and unprofessional. There were three younger cooks and an adult in a baseball hat and hoodie. The adult made a comment to the cooks implying they could “keep the $4,” then grabbed a Sprite from the refrigerator and walked off. I was confused in the moment and didn’t want to make a scene in front of my family, but the more I thought about it, the more inappropriate it felt. I tip generously when service warrants it. If this individual was the owner or manager, the comment was completely unnecessary. And if the cooks rely on tips to make a livable wage, perhaps the establishment should pay them fairly instead of placing that burden on customers. If he was not the owner, then I’m sorry the business employs someone who would call out a customer like that. As for the food, it was disappointing. The brisket was cold, the mac and cheese was soggy, and even the hot links were only warmed to a lukewarm temperature. After this experience, I regret leaving even the $5 tip — and honestly, I regret the entire order. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place. Bad food, bad service, and an even worse attitude. Stay away.

Great BBq! Wanted the try the pork ribs and they did not disappoint. Have to try with the spicy BBQ sauce as well. Pork was not dry and had a nice smokey flavor. Came with a side of their version of Mac n cheese, it was okay, it was more of a pasta then Mac. Would recommend

Rolling Loud ! I mean Rolling Smoke came with that gas lol. The brisket Sammy hit the spot. In my opinion this is some of the best BBQ in the city. Quick and efficient service mix the Carolina gold with the spicy BBQ sauce... you'll thank me later

Didn't know this was here at Stanley Market. Good barbecue brisket. I tried both the sandwich and the plate. I took the plate to go so I could have lunch the next day and it was still good even after microwaving. The cornbread was a little thicker and sweet with the honey sauce. The cheese macaroni was a little dry. The service was as expected. He took my order and subsequently prepared my order in an efficient manner. Prices were ok. It wasn't the best bbq I've ever tasted but good enough, especially if you're craving bbq.

That's some good BBQ! This location is right inside Stanley Market Place. There is a large parking lot but it can get crowded fast so when you see a spot, just take it. I'd never eaten here before so I was excited to try it. I got the 1 meat plate and it comes with two sides of my choice. I got the brisket, mac and cheese, and fries. The brisket was so good! I really love brisket so it's safe to say I found a good spot! The mac and cheese was a little dry. I did go close to closing so it might have been what they had left. The fries were crispy! Seasoned well! Overall I think I would go back. Defiently want to try the mac and cheese again :)

I tried the El Jefe sandwich today. It was great! It had pulled pork, sliced brisket, hot links, coleslaw and baked beans on a toasted bun. I put some of their delicious bbq sauce on it. The pulled pork, which I haven't had before, was particularly outstanding. I LOVE this place!

We went here at around 6:15-6:20pm on a Saturday night which looked like they close around 7 based on the internet. It's inside the Stanley Market and it was pretty busy - parking lot was pretty full. We got in line and there was about 2 parties in front of us. When we got to order - I asked for ribs. They were all out which was a bummer because that was the whole reason I wanted BBQ. She also then let us know they were out of burnt ends & baked beans. Lesson learned is if we want to have whatever - come early! Seemed as though even with 40 minutes left - they were popular enough to sell through. I ended up getting one of the daily specials which was 2 pulled pork sliders that came with one side. I got the smoked Mac & cheese. They had a little station to help yourself to different sauces with to-go containers too. The Pork was tender and cooked well. I Got the mild bbq sauce (yummy!) and the golden one - mustardy sauce. Both were good! I had one of each on my two sliders. The smoked Mac & cheese was good. The flavor was muted which I'm glad because I was nervous that it wouldn't taste like Mac and cheese. We'll be back .. and early enough for those ribs!

One of our absolute favorite BBQ spots! The food is always flavorful, the portions are generous, A must-visit.

First time coming here and the staff was nice helping us decide what to order. We ended up getting a 2 meat plate that comes with 2 sides. What we got: Burnt Ends (4/5): definitely the best thing on the plate Ribs (2/5): kind of cold and dry. Would recommend just getting the burnt ends Smoked Mac n Cheese (4/5): nothing super special but good Jalapeño Cornbread (3/5): a bit too dry but the jalapeño flavor was nice Overall, I wouldn't necessarily recommend eating here when you have so many other options at Stanley Marketplace, but if you do definitely get the burnt ends!

What was once our favorite barbecue place has fallen to "not bad, but not good." The meat lacked the essential smokiness that was their signature. The baked beans were no better than canned. The smoked Mac and cheese is not as tasty as in pre-Covid days. We'll be frequenting Smoking Yards from now on.

I visited Stanley Marketplace last week and I needed to be rolled out of there thanks to Rolling Smoke BBQ. I've walked by so many times, more than I can to admit, and I figured I spend my lunch money at this local BBQ place. Worth noting before I dive into the food; the main staffer was very friendly. Working in a food stall inside a large food hall, means there are boatloads of people walking up to the counter, looking at the menu, then walking away. It's probably draining on the employee's end to remain upbeat and positive when many people don't actually buy your food. She was pleasant from the very start and she deserves a shout out! FOOD. Just get the 3 meat plate. It's the move and all the cool kids are doing it. It comes with 2 sides, too. You won't be able to put it all down, but you'll get to try 5 different items. Plus, they make their sauces too, which were both excellent. MEATS. The standouts were the Ribs and Sausage hands down. I love a good rib and it had been awhile since I had one. These were amazing, I could've ordered a plate full of ribs! Sausage is always a sleeper pick at many BBQ places. Rolling Smoke does theirs the right way. SIDES. Mac and Cheese and Collard Greens. Mac had a good flavor, but was bordering the dry side and it makes you wonder how long it had been sitting. Collards are one of my favorites and these were strong. SAUCES. Mustard and Spicy BBQ. Both were great! IMO good BBQ doesn't require sauce. However these were a very nice accompaniment. The major disappointment was the Brisket. Being the king of all the BBQ meats I expected a lot more. I'd assume it was just an off day. No one likes a dry slice of brisket. Hopefully next time it's juicy and tender! Long time listener, first time caller. All in all, very pleased with Rolling Smoke!

RS catered a meal for a workplace event for us. In addition to the food being awesome, they handled my request over the holiday weekend, were extremely helpful and responsive. On the day of the event, they arrived on time, did the setup and were ready right on time. And the food was wonderful!

While waiting for Denver Biscuit Co (1hr wait) we tried smoke's burnt ends from rolling smoke bbq and it was great! I actually liked this better than the food I got from Denver Biscuit Co much better although it's two separate

The burnt ends are so good here! Great BBQ spot at the Stanley! The sides are all very good so you can't go wrong.

Walked around the entire center and was hoping this place would be decent... ordered a 3 meat plate with brisket, pulled pork, burnt ends and a side of mac and cheese and beans The meat was pretty decent for the price of roughly $23... not large portions by any means, but the quality was fair. The sauce definitely helped, and the 4% cash discount was nice of them to offer... the sides weren't terrible, just tasted a little basic if that makes sense? For a quick BBQ fix, I'd still say this place is okay for the price and what you get and worth a try

It's the mac & cheese for me! This place is such a good spot to get barbecue in Stanley marketplace. I always find myself coming here because it is so convenient. They do have some spots to sit down or you can get your food for take away. The meat and sides are just so flavorful, and it definitely feels like you were in the south. You literally cannot go wrong with anything on the menu. I think that they have a pretty standard variety as far as food goes. The service is pretty fast and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

The food wasn't that good and the restraint felt a little run down and dated. I was very disappointed. The service was good and the staff were friendly, which I appreciated.

The food was so delicious all 5 of us were very sated. We tried the potato salad, fries, baked beans, corn bread & cole slaw as well as finger licking good smoked wings, brisket and burnt ends. The Stanley is a fun place eat & view. The staff were quick & patient. We can't wait to return for a repeat performance.

Ok people this is my new favorite BBQ spot. This reminds me of home with the rib tips they were on point. Cornbread was actually pretty good as well Beans had taste and flavor Had 2 other spots in Denver but this one takes over the #1 spot You should definitely stop in Outdoor space available

Food was amazing. Tried the brisket, ribs, wings, mac and cheese bowl, and the French fries... all great not one complaint from 7 people

Disappointed. Food: - We wanted Brisket and Pork Ribs last night (Saturday), and they were sole out--at 5:30 PM. I guess we didn't realize we need to eat dinner like Seniors at 4:00 PM. Anyway, we ordered something else - Hot Links Sandwich ($11). Yes, sliced Hot Links on bread. That's it. No sauce, no add-ons. Links did have a good flavor. - Honey Bourbon Sausage Sandwich ($11). Yep! Just sliced sausage on bread. Yet, this sausage links did taste VERY GOOD! Sides: - Cornbread ($2.74). A slice about 3 inches long by 2 inches wide. It's definitely not southern style (no actual corn niblets in the bread, and honey is lacking. Very disappointed. - Smoked Baked Beans ($4). Meh. Nothing special and I paid $4 for about 4 spoonfuls. - Smoked Collard Greens ($5). THIS! This dish was the entire reason for me adding a Star to the review! These Collard Greens are like my Momma made. Sadly, only 4 spoonfuls in the order, but they were delightful spoonfuls. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! - Cole Slaw ($4). I judge all "Southern cooking" places by their Cole Slaw. Sorry. This place is a swing-and-a-miss. It's too "gritty" and dry. I would say too much Celery Salt and not enough Mayo. Very Poor! Drinks: - Sweet Tea ($2.74). Again, EVERY Southern restaurant should be able to make a great Sweet Tea! Nope! They missed the mark. The Tea was too bitter, and actually, had a "bite" to it (like a Chai Tea). Very Poor. Overall: Sadly, we have a business in Stanley Marketplace and would LOVE to have good BBQ as we leave work and drive back towards northeast Denver. Instead, we will drive the extra 4 miles to Moonlight Diner (6250 Tower Road), which is home to 62nd Street BBQ. GREAT BBQ, LARGE PORTIONS, GREAT PRICES! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I took a break from this spot for about a year but decided to try them again. I had the ribs, beans, and potato salad. Everything was very good. The ribs were much meatier than in the past. They were smoked to perfection. They have regained their place in my go to restaurants.

Burnt ends are a 5. Brisket is a 4, just because it was a little dry, but still really good. Mac & Cheese is a 5 for me, but my daughter didn't love the Smokey flavor. I like vibe of the market and the burnt ends are delicious!!!

Looking for some time to kill so we thought we'd stop by Stanley Market to walk around. Hubs loves bbq so we thought we get a plate to share. Ordered the 3 meat special that comes with two sides. Hot links: 3/5 - nothing special. they were okay Burnt ends: 4/5 - surprisingly good. i don't understand why people order these cuz they always seem dry to me but they were pretty tender Pork rib: 5/5 - this was tender! some places can't even do a decent rib! Mac and cheese side: hubs 4/5 cuz he doesn't like it cheesy and this was like a cajun kick to it. slightly spicy and peppery. me 3/5. i like my mac and cheese cheeeeesssyyy. Not a great spot for bbq and for $18 for 3 meats it can't be beat!

Delicious!!! And I'm picky about BBQ! The ribs were cooked to perfection. A little bit of a pull, yet easy to clean that bone! Mac and beans were also delicious, especially to be in a restaurant. Service was okay. One guy just wasn't friendly at all. I don't like to feel like my business is an inconvenience. Even if it's close to closing time. Gotta keep that good customer service until it's actually quitting time.

I went here soon to closing and the costumer service was inadequate. The cashier gave me attitude when I told him what I wanted. I understand you are about to close but you don't have to roll your eyes at me and tell me "no" with an attitude. I didn't give them my business.

as a notorious picky eater, i was blown away. fries? seasoned to the max. mac and cheese? so CREAMY and flavorful. these boys kill it. 10/10, definitely will be back.

Probably one of the best BBQs in the Denver area! Right in the Stanley Marketplace is this gem of a stand, lines will be long and highly recommend coming early otherwise you're stuck with Chicken - which I'm sure is good too, but let's be real, we're here for the Brisket and Burnt Ends! Really good mac n cheese - has a slight kick to it!

The food is always delicious! Our family continues to come back because the food is yummy. The ribs are tender and the sides are tasty! The staff is nice and the food comes out in a good amount of time.

I had the smoked chicken sandwich with brisket chili as my side. The sandwich was good, but the bread was a little hard. The chili was way to spicy; too spicy hot to eat. "Spicy" is not what I think of when I think of good BBQ.

Wow!! It's in the Stanley market which is a cute little spot in Aurora, CO. The smoked Mac and cheese was phenomenal- so gooey, deep flavor or cheese and smoke. The brisket just fell apart so nicely and their spicy bbq sauce was the perfect match to the meat. El jefe was enormous! As soon as it came out, my partner was shook with the amount of meat. When I read the amount of meat there was I was a bit overwhelmed but it came together perfectly and was really thought out nicely.

The food was ok, not one of the top BBQ places around. The service was great and friendly and the location is awesome with a lot of options to choose from. Maybe I didn't order there best meats. The brisket was sold out.

So I was not hungry and was not looking for something to eat. Then they rolled this cart by with briskets, ribs, etc. and the aroma reeled me in. What I ordered: brisket, burnt ends, honey something-something links with cole slaw and potato salad. They threw in the smokey shells and cheese. Ding-dong-dangit it was good eats! Smokey juicy meats and the link were some of the best ever! Cole slaw not too wet and the shells and cheese were excellent. Find them in Stanley market and chow down!

They changed the team and are waaaay nicer! Good job guys! The new crew was nice and friendly and helped me a lot. They used to have a very rude team but is amazing now.

A l ot of food for the cost so be prepared for take out. Located in the Stanley Marketplace, its my go to when I come here Macaroni is bomb and the employees are always so lovely! Rib tips and macaroni are $14.00. You can't beat that.m

We have to make regular trips for burnt ends (it's not unusual for them to be sold out), The plus side of no access to burnt ends is that their brisket is wonderful, and are the ribs. And when we have a group of people, it's really nice to order one of everything because it's all really good. Their are flavorful, the cole slaw is solid, as is the potato salad. It's one of those places that are consistently good.

The absolute worse bbq I have ever had. I asked for fatty brisket and got some dry brisket with a layer of fat. The mac tasted like it got left in smoke for hours dry and no flavor. The only thing edible was the potato salad. Will never order from here again.

Had these guys cater my rehearsal dinner. I have never heard so many compliments about the food at an event in my entire life. I almost couldn't have any other conversations because everyone wanted to talk about the food. Not only was the food great, but the staff was friendly and funny. I couldn't recommend a restaurant more in town than these guys. If I could give them 10 stars I would. Also, burnt ends

If I'd realized this place was in Stanley Marketplace I wouldn't have come. It's exactly the mediocre lukewarm food you'd expect from a stall in a marketplace.' There was no line when we went so I guess that was nice. I got the 2 meat plate with turkey, brisket burnt ends, potato salad, and fried okra. The only thing that was temperature appropriate and I'd recommend from my plate was the okra. Second thing that wasn't bad was the turkey. It was flavorful and moist, but being room temperature made it kinda gross by itself. The burnt ends were dry and barely tasted like brisket. Same goes for the brisket sandwich. The potato salad was alright.

Made the trip to Stanley Marketplace worth it. The meat was so tender and fresh, they gave generous portions which is tricky, I think a lot of the "hip" places are very minimalist in presentation and portions. The sides were on par with the main course, the collard greens were savory and delicious, the mac and cheese was out of this world. Seriously. The only suggestion I have, and to the owners and founders I hope you are reading this, y'all need better pickles! I know you can do better in the pickle game! Regardless, the food was incredible. It was easily our only meal of the day and we are still full.

The service was good. The place it is in is great to walk around and people watch! The food was just ok.

Fresh ingredients cooked well and solid choices - just nothing that knocked my socks off. I've had better BBQ but I've had much, MUCH worse. Keep in mind, though, that I didn't grow up in the south and my grandmother never greened a collard in her life.

It's not often you find BBQ that's good in a location like this! we got the meat platter that come with a little bit everything, Brisket, Ribs, Turkey, Sausage and Pulled pork. Three sides: Mac and Cheese, Slaw and Baked beans. The brisket was moist and delicious, cooked perfectly and cut just right. The ribs pulled away from the bone like you expect good BBQ to do, the turkey has a yummy smoke ring, and the sauces were excellent (I like mild my husband was a fan of the mustard based sauce). Sides were good, but the BBQ over shadowed them so I didn't eat much of them. The location is super cool too, and worth spending a couple of hours in.

Burnt ends tasted far better than they look. Appear almost undercooked. Mac n cheese was good. Chili is too spicy. Potato salad strange favorite perfume. I'd go back. Service was fast. Real fast.

The brisket was exceptional - not dry and super flavorful - the flavor you expect from fine brisket! I also really liked the burnt tips! The sauces they offered were good too, great BBQ sauce!! I enjoyed the location - it's a large food court with lots of great food (Stanley marketplace), so you can grab desert and enjoy the smell of great food coming from everywhere!! We liked it so much we came back the next day to buy a pound brisket to go (we were passing thru on our road trip). When I'm Denver go to ROLLING SMOKE BBQ! Thank you!! Tried the whole food court place and bbq sounded good. Wasn't horrible but was very dry! Had ribs, brisket, and hot links. The hot links were the least dry out of the three. Watched him cut the brisket and there literally no juice coming out! Ribs had decent flavor but again dry! The Mac and cheese had good flavor but tasted like it had been cooked earlier that morning and left in a warmer all day. The French fries were good but the cook forgot he set my order aside to make more fries and gave out all the fries to other orders behind mine and got mad because he messed up. Started cussing and then took fry's out of another box and then put into mine to get my order finished. None of the three men working there seemed to happy about working there or serving the food.

Very flavorful food. I got the smoked chicken sandwich and my man got the huge ribs. He and I loved it. He only wished the Greens weren't so thinly shredded.

After hearing rave reviews from friends, I decided to give Rolling Smoke a try for dinner. I ordered a meat plate with the burnt ends and picked the mac and cheese and jalapeño cornbread for my sides (cornbread was a daily special). The burnt ends were just as described on the menu- melt in your mouth and delicious. I tried it with the spicy bbq and mustard style sauces, both of which were great. Though the mac and cheese was good but not great and the corn bread was a bit dry, I would return to Rolling Smoke without hesitation just for the bbq.
