Very easy access, parking may be a bit challenging when busy. Very polite personnel. Very clean and well organized market, deli and restaurant. Place your meal order at the counter and then enjoy a seat in their casual setting, with a beautiful mural on the back wall. The sandwich bread was great, sauce tasty, and nice serving size. But the chicken was dry and the meatballs where just okay. Both sandwiches would have benefitted from more sauce. It was fun to wander the market and deli to pick out some treasures to take home and be creative with making our own meals.

Google
First time customer and wanted to see what it offered. It's rather small but have tables in the back to have lunch. Has many things you would expect in this kind of store from olive oil to noodles and lots more. I bought the Roma Special and it did not disappoint. I went with Mild peppers on the sandwich. The bread alone was so good. Lots of oil and vinegar, four meats, cheese and the works. Absolutely a beautiful sandwich. I could only eat half as it was a big sandwich for $12. Also purchased some Italian olives stuff with gorganzola cheese. Taste like Italy. Also they have my favorite Greek olive oil from a place lived near to when I was living there back in the 80's!

I grew up going to Italian stores in California. I’m so pleasantly surprised and thrilled that Tucson has a good one in Roma Imports. They have a wide selection of both frozen and refrigerated foods, a deli, and a little restaurant seating atmosphere in the back. They have several different types of frozen ravioli, which I have tried and loved. Bellissimo. 👌

Google
This is a hidden gem in an in industrial area. I was recently there and it was very busy and I was surprised how many people knew about it. I did not eat in however I did get a vegetable soup to go, which was delicious. I did stock up on a lot of original Italian olive oils and lasagna and fettuccine Alfredo and soups and sauces. Everything looked so delicious. I was visiting from Phoenix and wish we had a place up here like this.

Google
What a gem in Tucson!!! Restaurant & market all in one. Loved the meatball sub. Seen a few other dishes come out to other customers and they all looked fantastic. Best thing I can tell you is go and check it out for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Marcela Porras

Google
Italian deli with great Italian sub sandwich option but not exactly what I expected. I found large varieties of foods to go, spices, treats and plenty of seating but didn't find the most helpful staff unfortunately. There's a menu so you can dine in but I couldn't find someone to give it to me. Since I had driven a long way to try this location I did go to deli counter and have a sandwich made. It was fresh & delicious. Bread & meats were fresh & exactly how I had imagined it should taste. I'm going to chuck it up to maybe an off day & will try again if I'm in area. Don't forget your shopping bag so you can take home any one of their frozen prepped meals or some fresh cheese and meats.

Google
First time in Tucson and I saw this place advertised online before, and I love to check out a local family spot. You know it’s good when it’s literally a deli supermarket and sells food. They sold so many Italian ready made goods and authentic produce. The sandwiches we had were very good wish we got a chance to try more items!

Amelia Ascione

Google
This is a great Italian market. We tried the chicken parm & eggplant parm subs and both were fantastic. If you really like sauce, I'd ask for extra. Their cannolis are also great.

Yelp
After seeing a Facebook post reminding me that I haven't been to Roma Imports for many many years, since before my children were born I decided I needed to go back. A delightful old world market with four parking spaces located in the heart of the industrial district, this gem prides themselves in bringing the tastes of Italy to the desert. They have many many freezers filled with such items as beef lasagna, chicken fettuccine Alfredo, gnocchi pastas, sauces, home made Italian sausages, the list goes on and on. In the back a smattering of six top tables to sit while you enjoy authentic homemade Italian food. This day my son and I enjoyed some of the finest beef lasagna this town has ever had. Order lunch, open a tab because before you leave you will surely be doing a little shopping. With many imported items in stock that are not on any grocery store shelves you would be doing yourself a favor in taking home good clean imports. I will not wait so long to go back. Thanks Roma imports for reminding me what a true taste of Italy really is. A++

Yelp
Had the Italian dip and the pastrami Cool Italian deli, checks all the boxes and does it well. Their frozen section is formidable, has all the pasta dishes, pasta, pizza, sauces and more. The sandwiches were excellent. Great purportions, the bread was crispy on the outside and chewy inside, and wasn't overly dense or filling. I could identify the meats and veggies by taste and texture, and it wasn't too salty. Service was fast. We'll be back!!

Yelp
Can't believe it's been 6 years since my last review of this place. Still serving up the great deli options, groceries and fresh and frozen Italian meals and desserts. Only reason I changed the stars to 4/5 was because the cold sandwich I got most recently was not as great as their meatball sub. I got the Matt's Special and my husband got the Ultimate Roma. The French bread was a little tougher than I like and we both wish there was a little more meat and lettuce in the sandwiches. I do like that you can opt for either hot or mild peppers and the portion is large that you can either share between two people or bring some home for leftovers. It was really nice that they brought our sandwiches to us since we opted to sit in the back to eat. After that, it's bus your own table and grab free water from the dispenser as you need. I'm glad I tried a different sandwich but I think I'll stick with my go-to-meatball sub next time!

Yelp
I love stopping by here for lunch when I am in town! They have a great selection of hot and cold heroes and pasta offerings. I opted to the eggplant parm hero which was not only delicious but a great deal at $10! They offer a wide selection of take and bake items as well as imported Italian groceries such as pastas, sauces, flour, chocolate and more all at very reasonable prices considering how hard to find these items are. The housemade cannoli and tiramisu are also a must try! Service is quick and friendly and there is plenty of seating in a laid back no frills deli style restaurant. Highly reccomend!

Yelp
This is where we get real Italian. Hard to find spot back in an industrial area. So worth it. 2 fzn lasagna ,beef and olives Dinner for company that is coming soon.

Chris P.

Yelp
Amazing selection of antipasti, imported products, and food. I originally came in for the Italian beef dip, but they did not have it on special. I got the Stallion sandwich which I found dry, so I used the oil from the antipasti to spruce it up. The giardiniera on the sandwich was amazing. So were the stuffed hot pepper and pepper shooters from the antipasti area. I'll will for sure be back to get stuff from the freezer section which had different stuffed pastries, pastas, lasagnas, pies, even a curry. You can also get frozen desserts here. My only regret is not getting a cannoli. Will be back soon!
google avatar

Yelp
I have gotta go back again maybe. I didn't find anything special about it at all. It looked a bit older maybe less clean than I expected.

Yelp
Closest thing to South Philly we can find in Tucson. The hoagies are large and shareable with tasty Italian ingredients. The hoagie rolls are slightly crisper than those make with Schuylkill water (IYKYK), but I'm just describing not complaining. You can eat in or take out. Lots of deli choices for takeaway and even more frozen options. Since they don't have Tastykakes, I got a chocolate chip cookie instead; it was more like a scone. The store is on the opposite side of town from where I live, so it's a special treat for a hoagie when I go there.
google avatar

Yelp
What an amazing hole in the wall restaurant and food store for everything Italian. Everyone who works there is so friendly and helpful. We always shop here for their fresh horseradish. It's hotter than hot and oh so delicious!! While we were there we decided to have ravioli for lunch. Yum yum!!! Then, of course you need to have some cannoli for dessert so you go to the freezer and grab some while waiting for your lunch. By the time you finish eating, the decadent cannoli is ready to eat. You go to the cashier to check out and it feels like you are at a little cafe in Italy. It's somewhat hard to find but oh so worth it!!!

Yelp
Lowering my review a bit later: the cheese I bought there was extremely overripe and went moldy fast. I've bought taleggio at a half-dozen other places and this has never happened to me.

Bob T.

Yelp
This is not an Italian store like it was years ago by any means. The skinny spiral sausage used to be awesome, similar to what we used to get in New York. The last few times that we bought it from Roma's it tasted terrible - we threw in out. We will never buy it there again. I've been buying the "Ultimate Roma" hero, (sub, hoagie, whatever) for over 20 years. The sandwich has way less than half the meat that it used to have. Now, it's like eating a loaf of bread with Balsamic vinegar on it. For years it was $8.99, now, it's $11.99 for far less meat but with increased price. The Butter cookies are $18.99 a pound. Are they insane? For butter cookies? I'm Italian, this place has gone down hill big time. One star too many.

Nico G.

Yelp
Bad food. Bad service. Hideous atmosphere. Walked in, smiled and said "Hello! How are you?" which I was returned with a frowning lady who stared at me and didn't say a word. The people there tried to make me feel dumb for asking a basic question about what an item was. I'm always polite to service workers, so I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt, but it was just an unwelcoming, cold environment. I understand working food service is difficult, with plenty of rude customers and Karens. But it's not hard to at least pretend to be nice. Especially if I'm treating them with nothing but respect. I'd be able to forgive them if it wasn't Overpriced, sub-par food. Feels like a cafeteria. Disappointed because it seemed like it would a great spot, but everything was what I can only describe as mediocre at best. Everything was stale and tasted old. My mother-in-law makes much better lasagna. I'm sure anybody else's mom makes it better too! I'd rather just get a frozen take-home lasagna tray from Safeway; tastes as good if not better...for a fraction of the price. Bummed out because I love supporting small business, but the whole experience was unpleasant. Maybe they were just having a bad day due to poor management, but Overall, just feels fake and you can tell it's unauthentic "Italian" food. The sandwiches there were decent, but it's just pseudo-Italian cuisine. Everything else was mid at best. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. Save money and get the ingredients from your local grocery store and make whatever it is you want yourself. It will taste as good if not better. Wouldn't recommend this to anybody and certainly won't be returning.

Yelp
The best compliment I could give is it's very very authentic. The service was great and the ambience is so cute. Totally off the beaten path and people come for it so you know it's good! I can't wait to try the things in the refrigerator that you could take home and bake!!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise to find this gem in Tucson! Hidden away in an industrial district, this amazing restaurant / deli/ bakery offers an extensive selection of ready-to-eat Italian entrees, gourmet side dishes, and bakery items. The staff is friendly, and the menu offerings are fresh, ample, delicious, and reasonably priced. The ambiance is warm and casual, with traditional red-and-white checkered tablecloths and a charming mural adorning the entire back wall. Highly recommend! We will definitely be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Took my wife for lunch and to expose her to their amazing selection of frozen, fresh and dry goods. We had the Roma Stallion and the classic Caprese. The food was prepared perfectly and served in good time. After we ate we grabbed a frozen Ziti some noodles and giardiniera to go. This is definitely a hidden gem with secrets you can only find if you visit. Give it a try you won't regret it.
google avatar

Yelp
I got the meatball sub. Some of the best meatballs I've ever had! Presentation was very sloppy. The marinara sauce was really good also. We were looking at the tiramisu which only comes frozen and the worker offered to put it in the back where it was a little warmer so it would thaw out. It was delicious! I love the market inside. Can't go wrong at Roma!
google avatar

Nan G.

Yelp
OMG! My first visit to this small hidden gem! It reminds me of the little restaurant/markets in Italy. While eating my spinach/cheese ravioli (delicious fresh pasta) I watched multiple shoppers come and go. They filled their carts with many varieties of soup, sauce, pasta, cheeses and meats ( even blood sausage which I love and rarely find) Their Italian bread is the best!!! Limited seating space but don't be afraid to family style dine. We sat with a lovely couple visiting from the Midwest! Go, experience and dine on the most authentic Italian I've been able to find in Tucson!!

Yelp
During my 3rd pregnancy I learned I absolutely love burrata cheese... and that's also when I learned so does everyone else. Because it is always sold out at my 3 nearest grocery stores. I found Roma imports on yelp and decided to make the 25 minute drive there from my house. It's tucked away in an industrial part of Tucson (I'm not from here so forgive me for not knowing the proper neighborhood name). It's very small with only 3-4 parking spots out front but tons of street parking. I wanted to try almost everything inside but I only ended up leaving with their biggest tub of burrata ($23.99) and the ultimate Roma sandwich which was DELICIOUS. Best sub sandwich I've had in Tucson. I plan on returning to go down their sandwich menu and try them all.

Yelp
Got a mortadella sandwich. Imported from Italy. Amazing. Service incredible as always. This is an old school ambiance. Hole.in the wall. Eat delicious food and shop all imported Italian goods. 10/10

Cara M.

Yelp
Amazing service and food! Bought meat lasagna for Mother's Day and all was pleased. Loved their garlic bread as well.

Yelp
I Hadn't been here in a while, so I decided to meet a friend for lunch. Parked on the side street. I had the tortellini and cream sauce, lunch special and it was delicious! Staff was friendly. Small inside, so be prepared to brush shoulders with someone, especially lunchtime when it's crowded. I love that they also have take-home, pizzas, desserts, pastas, etc. just heat it up... And voilà full Italian meal at home.
google avatar

Eugene B.

Yelp
Very good authentic Italian tasting food. Not only do they make to order sandwiches (both hot and cold), along with salads and Italian meals, they have an abundance of made them frozen meals in a long case. Soups, sauces, pastas, pizzas, etc.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is an absolutely MUST in Tucson. It's basically an Italian Disneyland. I live in CO but I will absolutely be making a point to visit anytime I'm near Tucson. They have the coolest cooler bags that you can purchase that work SO WELL!!
google avatar

Margaret D.

Yelp
Never never never fails to produce great food, whether ordered there or picked up from the freezer. Excellent Italian choices. GREAT staff, knowledgeable and super friendly. Reasonable prices for large portions. I've gotten others as addicted as I am! Cute place for a casual lunch or dinner - on my regular rotation!

Yelp
Incredible incredible incredible. Was craving for some Italian sandwiches, something seemingly almost impossible to get in Tucson. Though there were people constantly coming in and out, I'm sure it would be a lot more busy if it could be easily found. Instead, it's hidden just on the outskirts of the downtown area amongst industrial businesses. We placed our order of two prosciutto caprese sandwiches at the registers and browsed while waiting. They have fridges and freezers of prepackaged meals such as pizzas, pastas, and desserts ready to be heated up at home. During our short wait for the sandwiches, we ended up grabbing some items from the ready to eat deli. The prosciutto and fig medallions was probably one of the best things I've eaten in awhile. Also grabbed a spinach and feta turnover that I know I'll be grabbing again at my next visit. Everything was very affordable!
google avatar

Ivana K.

Yelp
Such a cute spot with so much more than meets the eye. I had always driven by this place and thought it was a just a store but its so much more! They make great Italian sandwiches and have a nice seating area in the back to enjoy the food. On top of their great sandwiches? they also sell a lot of pre-made frozen Italian food which is great! I took home a small tiramisu and a bag of gnocchi. The tiramisu was TO DIE FOR but the gnocchi were okay, they were very mushy when I cooked them (i still haven't found gnocchi better than my mom's though so I may be biased). The staff was friendly and i would definitely return!

Greg C.

Yelp
It had been a while since I went here for lunch. I remember the chicken parmesan sandwich being great. super disappointing this time and more expensive too. i get that costs have gone up, but if you shrink the quantity of meat drastically too something has to give. the sandwhich was mostly bread and sauce with very little chicken. lots of bites were chicken less. i doubt I'll be back.
google avatar

Ravi S.

Yelp
My first time here did not disappoint. When you walk in you're greeted by a counter to your right, freezers to the left, and then in the back they have some tables to eat. It's a pretty cool place. Freezers are stocked with tons of stuff. Sauces, meats, soups, curries, pasta and probably more that I'm forgetting. Could definitely be worth going back and trying some of those. Onto my sandwich. I ordered and took probably 10 minutes for it to come out at most so not bad. I got the Matt's special. It was good and very filling. Bread was tasty. All the meats and cheese tasted great and seemed fresh. Hot peppers were definitely the way to go on this one for me. I know I'm late to the party but can't wait to try some others!
google avatar

Shannon A.

Yelp
I happened to find this wonderful little place by chance as I was searching for a sandwich shop online. It is so much more than just a sandwich shop! We walked in, order a sandwich each, paid then began our adventure through rest of the store. By the time our sandwiches were ready we had also purchased a premade frozen lasagna, a premade frozen pizza and a small container of tiramisu. We've since eaten everything but the lasagna. Everything was great! We can't wait to go back and stock up again. Note: parking is limited and the location is kind of odd. But the shop is beautiful and very clean. Service was fantastic even at the late lunchtime hours when they were pretty busy.

Carlene A.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious sandwich/grinder picked up some tortellini some little stuffed peppers and Portuguese linguica sandwich was closest to Rhode Island Federal Hill you can get here in the desert

Yelp
Authentic Italian Deli/Market/Restaurant & Caterer. I've been impressed all 4 times I've shopped here. Daily lunch specials & friendly polite staff. I paid for a baguette but, forgot to put it with my other items & left without it. I called an hour later from home to ask about it & they had no problem putting my name on one for me to pick up the next day. Ciao Bella!

Yelp
How often have you had a pizza emergency? You know, you're hungry but way too lazy to go out and get pizza but you really want good pizza and you're getting cranky. You settle for white bread with a dollop of tomato sauce from a jar and a leftover slice of cheese. Evening ruined. Roma Imports is a magical place. A long wall is lined with freezers that are filled with so many Italian specialties -- even a few Indian entrees, too -- that not taking one of each is the biggest challenge. I filled a basket until it overflowed. I added some prepared items, too, then paid and sped home. I threw the frozen margherita pizza into the oven and counted down the minutes. The result? It's better than anything from a supermarket freezer and better than the average pizza joint. Stock your home freezer and you'll never have a pizza emergency again. Roma Imports may be my favorite Tucson discovery since I moved here!

Yelp
I ordered a full Greek salad, 18" antipasti platter and Stromboli platter for my daughter's graduation party this past weekend. Wow! The food was more than perfect. Everyone just loved it and we talked about Roma Imports all night. Highly recommend them for catering a party. These items were great additions to my menu. Can't wait to come back for lunch. A hidden gem that is so worth the visit. Thank you Roma Imports

Yelp
Roma imports is truly something special. A small building tucked away in a quiet street, if you aren't looking for it you are unlikely to find it. It is one of those places that feels like a best kept secret of Tucson locals. Romas serves 3 purposes. A deli, a restaurant, and as an Italian market. Generally I tend to criticize places that try and do too much and as a result end up with an identity complex. But Roma does all 3 well. As a market they have imported goods and dry pastas as well as a ton of prepared meals and Italian foods to purchase for taking home. The deli has fresh made foods, meats and cheeses, as well as some sides. The restaurant has a small, but satisfying menu. The prices are a touch high but not unreasonable, and the food is top notch. The service is friendly and quick as well. You order at the counter but they bring the food out to you at a seating section in the rear of the store. TL:DR - a real hidden gem, good food, take home options, clean, with friendly service. Maybe a tad expensive but worth it!

d c.

Yelp
It's a bummer. It's hit or miss it's not consistent so it's either really good or really not good. There's kind of no between the Stromboli though the Stromboli is always delicious the rest of it especially the bread and the things that should be fresh leave a bit to

Yelp
Biggest GD sandwich I've had in my life. I got Matt's special hot and it was great! Definitely could share with someone

Yelp
I came in to Roma Imports on a Saturday to get a meal for myself and my wife who was at work as a cook at the U of A. I was hoping to surprise her so that she could relax and not do any more cooking. I picked up my to go order and proceeded to my home and i set up the meal for her on our plates. When my wife arrived she said i love that you did this but this food in not fresh. This food must have been left over from a previous day, so she proceeded to throw all of the food into the trash. I did leave a complaint as a review and never expecting to hear from them at all. To my surprise Sara reached out to me and said that she was sorry that we were disappointed about our food. She went on to say that she was willing to refund all of the $41.00 dollars that I spent. I stopped the very next day and received a refund. I was pleased with their willingness to make things right and I will go there again because of their desire to make us satisfied. Thank you Sara from Lee Johnson.

Yelp
Ummmmm, why doesn't this place exist all over the United States? I left wanting to cry, because Roma Imports is the best! Before we flew back home, my brother in-law took us here for our lunch. Fresh everything. I ordered a caprese sandwich, dolma and cannoli. You can purchase Italian food, from the fridge, freezer, deli and so on. There is a bathroom, water station in the back room. They even provide foil to wrap your leftovers. This place has it down. I can't rave enough about Roma. Enjoy and Buon Appetito!
google avatar

Alicia C.

Yelp
It's fresh and delicious. Lots of seating if you want to dine in. I took a selection of goodies to go and they were quick and friendly

Yelp
A true Italian grocery and deli making awesome sandwiches. Pastas to go, sauce, cookies and pastries. I wish I had one in Texas.
google avatar

Martha C.

Yelp
This was my first time visiting Roma Imports, I was truly amazed at all the Italian ready to go food that was made here. Small area if you wanted to eat from there menu that looked delicious and the smells Devine . We have family coming to visit and will be sharing what we purchased Lasagna and Garlic bread. The staff was friendly and we left purchasing cannolis for dessert A must place to come for the best Italian food and deli.
google avatar

Paige A.

Yelp
This spot has an array of options from take home and cook lasagnas, deli salads, pastries, Italian imported grocery items, frozen pastas, cheeses, gelatos, and more. Definitely eclectic! We ordered two sandwiches, Chicken Parm and a tomato moz basil added prosciutto. The Chicken Parm was okay, salty. The tomato moz basil was really disappointing. Tomatoes were old, moz was below average and there wasn't much in the sandwich. Such a simple sandwich anyone could make better at home with nicer ingredients. The spot has a pretty run down feeling, but they seem to be very successful.

Yelp
This adorable little deli/restaurant/store is definitely off the beaten path, yet it was busy the entire time we were there. They have a fairly small menu, but it was a good variety of options: sandwiches, pastas, salads, sides, etc. I chose the antipasti salad. On a bed of lettuce, there were several meats, cheeses, and olives, with a balsamic vinegarette dressing on the side. Our table got two baskets of bread to go with our salads. The salad was fresh, with lots of delicious toppings. Several other patrons ordered sandwiches, hot and cold, and they looked delicious as well. It was fun to browse their shelves, frozen section, and grocery areas. Lots of yummy looking items for purchase. The sit-down area had about 8 tables with red checkered tablecloths and painted walls. Very fun place, and I'm glad we discovered it.

Yelp
Excellent food and service and always friendly service and peaceful atmosphere . The Domas are delicious

Krystal M.

Yelp
Fantastic home made food! Anything and everything you could ask for! Conveniently located for easy access!

Marsha M.

Yelp
Worst lasagna I've ever had. It was so salty I could use it as a salt lick to attract cattle.
google avatar

Valerie M.

Yelp
Sorry. Took prepared frozen home to enjoy. Tasted like the other frozen entrees from the freezer. Won't return.
google avatar

James B.

Yelp
I had lunch here with five friends two days ago. I had a hot porchetta sandwich (the Roma Stallion), two stuffed grape leaves (dolmas), a bottle of coffee soda, and a cannoli. It came to more than $20, but the sandwich was amazing. Totally worth it. This is both a restaurant and a small Italian market. Prices are high, but so is the quality.
google avatar

Yelp
It is good ! Service is decent and I only went once when it was super busy . I liked the prices and variety . The food I got was delicious!
