This was a fantastic experience for us. It was our first time here. Nothing but friendly diners that kept telling us their favorites. The staff was incredibly kind with amazing smiles and warmth! One of the best pies we have had in the Springs 💯

Google
Truly surprised when we stopped in here for dinner. I've lived here my whole life and thought this place shut down but I was wrong! The food is fantastic for the price, the atmosphere is quaint and the service very friendly. We will definitely be going back!

Second time at the restaurant, first time having the pizza. Hands down, the best pizza I’ve ever had!! Staff were also so warm and welcoming! Fantastic experience both times.

Google
Absolutely incredible!! The service and food was amazing - for desert the spumoni is a must. This place has been open since the 50s and is family owned (grandmother to daughter to daughter). This is by far my favorite local restaurant we’ve been to in Colorado. It’s obvious Roman Villa is and has been a staple in the community for years, and a place where regulars have found a sense of home. Will be back every time we’re in the area!

Google
I teared up when I had the red mushroom sauce and meatballs- it tasted just like my late grandmothers sauce. Very delicious and authentic food here and the atmosphere reminded me of my Italian grandparents house. We look forward to when we can return again and enjoy another delicious meal

Google
Down to earth authentic multi-generational family owned Italian restaurant with a large loyal following. Known for their home made pasta and pizzas. Its one of those places that everyone says they’ve driven past for years and should stop in and when they finally do question why they didn’t do it sooner - including us! They are a pretty small place so get there when they open or expect a bit of a well worth it wait.

Google
Roman Villa is our new favorite Italian restaurant. Their lasagna is the best! Great food, great service, cute little dining room. They make like everything in house - you can't go wrong. Get on over to Roman Villa!

If you want to get treated like family and fill your belly, then go to Roman Villa. We hadn't been here in over 20 years (What's wrong with us?) yet we felt welcomed back right away. Service was outstanding. Food was fresh, hot and delicious. We got the ravioli with meatballs and the manicotti with meat sauce and a side of sausage along with a Caesar salad and some chianti. It was very chilly outside, but the dining room was warm and cozy. Our meals came out quickly. You can't beat the prices here! We can't wait to go back and try the pizza!

Yelp
Our first time here and it was so amazing. The manacotti is to die for. The ravioli is superb. Everything is made in house. The flavors were as good as nonnas. We will be back.

Yelp
I forgot to picture the rest of what we got (tomato garlic bread (omg incredible!), pizza (we got the white sauce one and wouldn't order again but it was decent. We went to try the traditional sauce next time), linguine with clam sauce was decent but definitely canned clams. Prob wouldn't order that again but the pasta and sauce were really good. Our friend got raviolis and thought they seemed undercooked but the meat sauce was incredible. We will be back to try different items for sure. Service was great (they were slammed) and loved the vibe as it's in an old house.

Yelp
I have to say in my experience this is the worst Italian food I've ever had in my entire life!! I've had a lot of Italian food! Service was efficient but with two servers you're always waiting , nice but short with customers. I honestly believe that my so-called tomato sauce was just a can of tomato paste thrown on top. The meatball was mushy like just plain breadcrumbs. The sausage was something I've never tasted before and a little bit spicy. The pizza for whatever reason, I'm positive it made me sick!! I think it was the mushrooms on there. They look pretty old. The salad is a basic iceberg lettuce that you pick up anywhere in the grocery store. Nothing fancy. All beverages are pretty basic. There are no appetizers. Well, maybe too. I forget. Pretty limited menu is limited in general when you get the pizza here either. I don't know how this place has been in business 66 years because the food is that bad, in FACT! The only thing it has going for is adequate parking in the back. The prices are just as much as any other Italian place so save your money and go somewhere else. I definitely do not recommend this place. Oh the ambience is cool. It's like being an old diner. I don't know why we can't give a zero rating!

Yelp
Another wonderful meal! But you have to get here before 4:30 pm or plan to wait for a table. This business has been here for decades. It appears to have once been a house? So it is somewhat small inside with only about 16 tables, but it is always worth the wait if we get here after opening at 4 PM. We only come in every few weeks, but Amber knows our preferences, and brings our tea without asking. She knows my hubby's food order (because he always orders the same thing), but has to wait for me to decide which of the wonderful dishes I want. I've heard the frenetic energy here called chaotic if you arrive when it is full up, but the food is so good and the people so nice, it's all wonderful!

Yelp
Food was excellent, servers are friendly. Great neighborhood eatery. Ravioli with meatballs and garlic cheese bread work to die for.
google avatar

Noah R.

Yelp
An authentic and delicious experience! I came here with my sister and brother-in-law who are regulars. The food was great from the pizza, salad, pasta, and cannoli.

Melanie B.

Yelp
The lasagna is soooo good!! This place is a home style Italian restaurant. I've only ordered a few things and absolutely recommend the lasagna.

Yelp
First time coming was very pleased with the taste of pizza. Not a tremendous amount of searing so get there early.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant, from the traditional recipes, to the staff. I purchased the Roman Villa Specialty Pizza today. I was sadly disappointed. I had to put on my glasses and a bright light to see if there was any meat added to the veggies. I thought they may have forgotten to add the pepperoni and sausage. It's is there but sadly scarce. I purchased that pizza based on the house made sausage and thought it would be more present.

Lori M.

Yelp
The second time I went back I tried the pizza, but wasn't impressed. I think I will go back to the Italian dishes. It didn't help that a nearby table was playing a dice game for some reason, it really soured the experience hearing dice across a hard table every few moments.

Yelp
I'm a longtime customer, since 1977. Previous reviews. A family restaurant with limited seating open only for dinner and on busy Nevada. A romantic night at RV isn't best. Additionally I have never said best Italian food but has been consistently good except that night. Be aware of tortellini, clam with white sauce and ravioli. Maybe homemade but something has changed. Dough was chewy and sauce not flavorful. They were not good and I sure hope it's only a bad night.

Roberta K.

Yelp
Excellent food, friendly service, place was crowded so too loud to hold a conversation with my hearing impaired dad, but the food was so tasty so our mouths were too full to have time for chatting anyway

Trusted G.

Yelp
Love everything about the place. Best food in a 20 mile radius. Best service for a pizza restaurant. The store itself, amazing store interior as well

Yelp
Was super happy to finally grab dinner here. Peeking over the patrician, into the kitchen, you can see them making their pasta fresh. The sauce and meatballs were the highlights of our meal! Will be coming back! Other things of note: Ample parking in the back. The dining room was tight and they had a steady stream of people coming in for a Friday night but never saw much of a wait form. Service was great.

Yelp
The best pizza in Colorado Springs! We have been going to Roman Villa for many years and they do not disappoint. Don't expect a large fancy restaurant; or let the outside appearance fool you; the coziness only adds to the ambiance. You may see many of the city's elite coming in to pick up their take-out orders! There may be a line to get in, but the food and service is well worth the wait!
google avatar

Samson L.

Yelp
The service is great I called for pickup 40min before they closed and they were still super friendly and quick! I got the 12" cheese pizza and it was delicious. if you want a good pizza in Colorado, this is the place to go.
google avatar

Nancy J.

Yelp
Food is always great! Always consistent. Service is the best .... Amber is a "machine!" Love the the Ambiance, family pictures makes you feel homey and comfortable

Yelp
This is the real deal old family restaurant. Don't let the outside fool you, small but mighty. Definitely known by the locals. Glad we got there early for dinner. The antipasto salad was enough for 2 people. The dressing was great. We both got small plates of pasta. This was the perfect size. The meatballs were amazing. We both got a cannoli Togo. Yes these were amazing. Take the time and stop by! Oh our waitress had the whole restaurant and hustled and did a great job!

Jim S.

Yelp
Service was excellent the food outstanding prices were reasonable for what you got enjoy the evening.

Sarah C.

Yelp
In recent memory I had stuck to my usual rigatoni with spinach; and had tried their tortellaci. Finally a couple weeks ago I ordered the sausage pizza - they make the sausage in house! The crust is thin and is the perfect vessel to deliver that sausage pizza into my mouth! It comes oozing with melty mozzarella! always a must eat is their house salad with blue cheese crumbles!! I'm told you ca buy the Italian salad dressing by the bottle! Gonna get a sausage pizza to go this week, just for me!

Morgan T.

Yelp
Great family own restaurant with authentic Italian food that is exceptional. Make sure you get here early or you might not get a table always full.
google avatar

Dustin B.

Yelp
Do not pass this place up! Recommended by our hotel front desk and it was excellent. Service was great and food was delicious. Try the lasagna!

April L.

Yelp
Walking in is like a step back in time with the wood paneling, old tables, and decorative wine bottles, just as a real place like this should be. Amazing smells of Italian food, casual and great service, and lots of regulars. Good food all the way around, delicious tiramisu (I don't often order dessert) and good prices. We'll be back for sure!

Don R.

Yelp
You drive by this place like everyone else and wonder how it is- it's still like the first pizza place you ever went to when you were a kid-- same smells- same food- in 2024 there aren't many places left like this- always the real deal- always packed-walls have pictures of generations gone by- then you wonder if in the future they'll still be places like this- hopefully-

Jenna W.

Yelp
OMFG!!! Anyone looking for true Chicago style pizza, look NO further. This is not the tourist trap deep dish nonsense, this, is, born, and, raised, Chicago, pizza. It may not be square/tavern cut but don't let the slice fool you! Cracker crisp crust that stays rigid no matter how many toppings you put on it, an equal amount of toppings in every bite, cheese so stringy and delectable, pizza sauce so perfectly distributed and flavorful. My first bite I closed my eyes in uncontrolled ecstasy and ventured down a rabbit hole of my childhood Friday nights back is home sweet home Chicago!

Renee S.

Yelp
Amazing pizza! Great service. Was so glad we found this place while on a recent trip! We definitely be back next time through!!
google avatar

Rob M.

Yelp
Family owned and operated since 1959, come in and be treated like family. Fantastic chicken cacciatore, sweet and savory at the same time. Excellent pasta and meatballs. The tiramisu is to die for. Not much from the outside, which is why it's a hidden gem in plain sight.
google avatar

Rockin R.

Yelp
I fear like most local places they've had to cut costs and it shows. I used to want to eat the ricotta by the bowl it was so good... what I got tonight was not even close to the same. Meat sauce, the same thing, not what it used to be. Disappointing.
google avatar

Stu D.

Yelp
Do NOT let the exterior fool you. This is a local's favorite for a reason! Because it's small, seating is super-limited, so give yourself time to get in line and be prepared to wait, especially on Thurs-Sat nights. But you won't regret it! Great food, and really friendly staff, in such a quaint setting. We go here any time we're up for a small, fun meal.
google avatar

Jerry M.

Yelp
Small, often crowded with a wait out the door. Simple, tasty, time tested recipes make it worth the wait. Have been coming since it opened!

Carol J.

Yelp
The best pizza anywhere! Small restaurant and limited parking, but worth the wait! Fresh garlic in everything!

Yelp
My family took me here for my birthday. I had come here in 1993 by a recommendation from the super 8 hotel on 1-25 and filmore and remember it being so good! Really small but so good. It did not disappoint. We had a party of 8, we got our own "little room" by the bathroom, for me it was perfect! Surrounded by my family in a 4th generation authentic Italian restaurant. Our waitress was of the 4th generation Amber. She was awesome. She asked about dessert I said "yes, I'd like to try the tiramisu, it's my birthday and yelp had great reviews". She brought not only the tiramisu with a candle in it, but a cannoli, and spumoni ice cream and 8 spoons! She said "I don't sing but have at it". It was awesome They closed at 8, I thought it was 9 according to yelp but there she was dividing the tickets up by hand and calculator so old school so cool. My boyfriend said the manicotti was so good he could have eaten 1 more, my ravioli with meat and cream sauce was very good, tiramisu, cannoli and ice cream . My daughter in law said if you eat cannoli anywhere else you will be downgrading, we asked for more bread and got it no questions. Loved every bit of the evening. I did call the day before to let them know we were coming about 7, they said we don't take reservations but your wait shouldn't be long, we got seated right away.

Yelp
Great little place! Been around for FOREVER. Went there 30 years ago. Came back into town for a family wedding and it still is great food. Totally recommend.
google avatar

Tim K.

Yelp
3 stars because Roman Villa is A-OK. Not sure where my prior review went, I just wrote one in Feb. I'd wanted to go to Roman Villa for years and it seemed that my family would always go when I was out of town. #conspiracy. I thought it was good not "blow my mind good" but good. My pasta was not cooked, it was on the uncooked side of al dente. If I didn't have a 2 year old in tow I would have ordered the lasagna. The menu says to give them 30 minutes to get the lasagna cooked. I just didn't have the time to commit to that. Quaint ambiance. Definitely a dive. I liked the vibe. I'm sure that I'll be back at some point, just not right away.

Yelp
Such a quaint local gem with AMAZING pizza!!! Seating is limited and likely tight... but that's just bc it's an old school OG spot with a long standing following. I'm from the Midwest and this pizza gives me that pizza from a small town spot neighborhood bar thats unassuming but satisfies. The crust is thin and crispy. The cheese is crust to crust, the toppings plentiful, and it fits the most crucial of pizza criteria... pretty damn good cold out of the box next day. The ravioli are also good. They're prompt for takeout service and friendly when you grab a table for dine in.

Yelp
Hubby and I are enjoying supporting small businesses during this time. We are finding great places and this gem will not disappoint you. I'm very particular about my pizza. This place knows how to do pizza. Crispy crust, perfect amount of sauce with plenty of toppings that cover the entire pizza pie. We enjoyed the Roman Villa Special. Reasonably priced and friendly staff. Called in our order and had curbside pickup. Can't wait to try other items.

Naomi H.

Yelp
This place hits all the marks ! Delicious authentic food , friendly and engaging staff who work their tails off and never stop moving and working hard .. there is love in this food .. Thank you ! We will go far out of our way to come here again !
google avatar

Victoria J.

Yelp
Tortellaci was awesome. The pasta was home made with a shape and texture of thick tortellini. Inside was cheese and spinach topped with a creamy sauce similar to a vodka sauce. 10/10 and we got it carry-out!
google avatar

Araceli H.

Yelp
If I could give this restaurant a 0 star rating, I would. Besides this restaurant being very small and old inside this is definitely not a kid or family friendly place to eat. Whomever was the lady in charge did not greet us and rudely had us sit at a table we were standing by most likely because it was the only one who could sit a family of 5 plus 2. (Which is on the right of when you first walk in) she yelled at my 3y daughter to stop playing with her very old blinds because "they break easily" first off she could have politely asked me to have my daughter stop touching them instead of directly yelling at her The salad was soggy l, drenched in dressing. The food also had no taste. Definitely would not recommend coming here. Service was extremely rude and food was not good. Won't be coming back here!!!
google avatar

Mary N.

Yelp
The pasta we got with the mushrooms sauce was so good. I have to admit we added some meat to it to off set the carbs. We were vacationing very close to here so easy curbside pickup.

Amy W.

Yelp
It's been around since 1959 and there are reasons it's still here. Small place, tight seating, but you feel part of the family instead of cramped. The wait staff seemed to know almost everyone by name and the waitress was wicked fast at everything she did. Food was good (of first importance), exactly what you'd expect at a place like this. Flavorful, not highbrow.
google avatar

John D.

Yelp
Just the best!! Order to go, arrive early, have a glass of wine at the little round table!!

Jade E.

Yelp
Roman Villa was a great experience. Such a small and cute atmosphere! food was incredible and they sat my group (a large party) close to close which was really kind as they could have turned us away. Ramsey was such a really good server and took great care of us! thank you Roman Villa for a really great meal, experience, and evening!
google avatar

Mel N.

Yelp
Such great pizza! Found this gem off the road and so glad we stopped. The Roman Special was filled with onions, green peppers, mushrooms, sausage, and pepperoni on a crispy crust. 10/10 would recommend! Would be a regular if I lived here.
google avatar

Lulu R.

Yelp
Delicious pizza. Small, family restaurant that has been there forever. The cheese is of top quality, the entire pie was exceptional. Friendly waitstaff, no frills, cozy atmosphere. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Yelp
I grew up in upstate NY, in a huge Italian section, Roman Villa reminds me of the pizza I grew up with! People who know what I'm talking about, WILL KNOW what I'm talking about!

K S.

Yelp
We hadn't been to Roman Villa in over 10 years. My girlfriend had never been so we figured we'd try it out. We started with the house salad. It looked like the $1 salad you get from Walmart in the plastic bag, with 3 banana peppers on top. The complimentary bread was also far from good, my girlfriend is a carb fiend and we sent all but one piece that we tried back. The pizza was extremely average, honestly similar to a store bought frozen pizza. The lasagna, while being $17, is pretty mediocre. Not horrible, but nothing worth going out of your way for, and not worth paying $17 for. The house wine was actually decent, and a good price. The horrible service, including forgetting the wine completely and never bringing napkins even when asked twice, plus the food quality is enough to never go back again. It seems this place is staying alive on old regulars okay with the food and service.

Jeremy A.

Yelp
Great service and amazing food. Atmosphere was just like sitting in Grandmas kitchen eating some amazing Italian food

Yelp
This place is homely, comfortable, and a place for a great meal. We order their Gannini Pizza and it was absolutely delicious. It wasn't dry, or over cooked, It was just right! The staff is super friendly, patient, and let you sit wherever you would like. I would recommend if you are looking for a good meal for two or three and are not looking to pay a lot this is the place for you.
