"Roman Village is a classic red sauce joint — large, saucy portions of pasta, lots of heavy cream, chicken cutlets, pizzas, and calzones all for an affordable price. The pillowy, herbed bread is the ideal tool to sop up sauces. Though Roman Village has a few different locations, the original Dearborn outpost is the spot to go. It’s full of old-school, Italian American family restaurant vibes, and has been a pillar of the community for decades." - Danny Palumbo

Wow! This place is great. I've moved this into my top five Italian restaurants. Cozy, charming, clean and top notch food. The bread alone is worth the trip. We had the Chicken and pasta and the Chicken Marsala. Everything was great! Fabulous wine too.

Dined in for the first time tonight, after ordering their catering for years! Grew up enjoying Antonio's in Dearborn Heights, so I knew the food here would be amazing, but the atmosphere and friendly service makes it even better. Ordered the arancinis as an appetizer, and they were delicious. My husband ordered the steak and cheese calzone and I had the gnocchi with meat sauce. You guys, it was so good!! The bread was so soft and warm. Their ranch is the best, especially with the bread (I even had some ranch with my gnocchi, don't judge me). 10/10 recommend.

If I could give 6/5 stars, I would. Our server was fantastic!!! She treated us like family. The chicken Parmesan and brocollini were INCREDIBLE. Highly recommend-I will come back just for these dishes alone. They also give you hot, fresh bread and it is SO GOOD! Perfectly cooked and has a great flavor. We also tried the margarita pizza, and I thought it was solid. My friend didn’t like it as much as I did because he thought the crust was a little too bland. (I would get it again though!) When we finished our meals, the server packed us up two free cannolis in a container. She was so sweet! I really am so glad I found this spot and will be a returning customer!

I used to love this restaurant, but after today, I will not be ordering from them again. I've been working in the area for nearly three years, and my coworkers and I typically order from here two to three times a month. This year, I decided to focus on eating healthier, so I ordered a small caesar salad with chicken. To my disbelief, it cost $19.90 for a SMALL salad—not even a medium or large. This is simply outrageous. While I have always enjoyed their bread and other dishes in the past, I refuse to pay $20 for a small salad.

Roman Village is my favorite old school Italian restaurant. Their bread is absolutely delicious and addictive. Their salad with house dressing is also superb. They make their own pasta noodles in house from scratch and you can tell! My favorite dish is the chicken parmesan with spaghetti, you can't beat it! But everything I've had here is amazing. I'll be back!

Portions were huge, and the bread service with olive oil was great. Our server was the best. Calamari was crisp and tender. I'm not sure if the wedge salad was a value as an upgrade. linguine with clam sauce was very good. But more is not always better. spumoni was ok.

If you are craving some authentic tasty Italian food. Please come here. Tons of memorabilia, amazing menu. I tried the lemon calamari, sausage platter, and the pork chops.

We usually have bad luck with finding a good Italian restaurant but this place was fantastic!! The food quality was fresh and very tasty (the ranch dressing was very good as per other reviews). The Andrea Bocelli inspired spaghetti carbonara and lamb shank were perfect! The menu offers a large variety of items, we will definitely revisit (but next time no apps as they’re filling, along with the free bread given as well). The restaurant is kid friendly, and plenty of high chairs are available. The only complaint I have is I was leaving the restaurant with a stroller, and the doors don’t have automatic open functions and many staff were at the front desk chatting and using their cell phones which was unprofessional.
