Last night on Valentine’s Day. Me and my son had an amazing experience and the workers there are very amazing and very welcoming. I never knew it was a new restaurant but it was really busy and the food is very delicious too. Me and my son will definitely be back again for another delicious Italian food experience. My son was the one recommended the oysters and I would say. Amazing!😋 the pasta is definitely top notch made from scratch. Please give this restaurant a chance. You won’t regret it one bit. Thank you for your amazing service and your welcoming hospitality. We will be back soon.

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere. We tried the pizza, home made pasta, and some great appetizers. The staff was incredibly welcoming and the restaurant is beautiful. Great location in the heart of the Gaslamp with ample outdoor seating as well. We can't wait to come back and try more of the food.

Romanissimo San Diego is a true gem! The food is authentic and delicious, with flavors that take you straight to Italy. The ingredients are fresh, the pasta is perfectly cooked, and the sauces are rich and flavorful. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot for an enjoyable meal. The service was also excellent—friendly and attentive staff who make sure you have a great dining experience. If you’re looking for real Italian food in San Diego, this is the place to go. Highly recommended!

This place was yummy! Our group was supposed to go to the sister restaurant “Allegro Restaurant” instead but was difficult to reserve for dinner time. The wine (Primitivo, Rosé) was delicious, not too sweet or too dirt… i paired it with the lasagna and it was the BEST! It had a mixture of Alfredo and marinara sauce w/ beef. The agnolotti pasta was also very delicious, the flavor of the mushroom and wine sauce complemented one another! If I am to come back, I would definitely get the lasagna again! The service was not the best, but maybe that was due to being Valentine’s night… however once we ordered the food, it came out quickly!

We recently visited with my husband and father-in-law, and we were absolutely blown away by the remodel—what a stunning transformation! My father-in-law lives nearby, and while we had fond memories of the old restaurant (Saltwater), this new concept is on an entirely different level. The ambiance instantly transported me back to Rome, and the food was nothing short of authentic Italian. We started with the Fiori di Zucca (zucchini blossoms stuffed with ricotta), and they were divine—so delicate and flavorful, like something straight from Nonna’s kitchen. For my meal, I had a mixed salad followed by the Radiatori Al Sugo, and wow—what an incredible dish! The oxtail meatballs were packed with rich, savory flavor. My husband went for the lasagna, and my father-in-law had the alfredo—both were thoroughly enjoyed. Every detail, from the decor to the flavors, felt thoughtfully curated, making this a truly special dining experience. Alisha was our server and so friendly. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you

It’s still a new restaurant so yes there’s a few kinks to work out but other than that, we were surprised by a few unique and tasty dishes! The ambiance was nice. It was the day after Valentine’s Day so the waiter wasn’t sure what was still available. Overall good experience and was perfect as the weekend was so busy and we weren’t able to make reservations yet Romanissimo sat us right away

WORST MEAL EVER! Stay away from this place. Food is literally the worst it can be. The 49 dollar fillet steak is driest it can be, no taste at all. Zero customer service. Mandatory surcharge 3.75% service fee. Im going to tell everyone I know to STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.
