Romantik Hotel Chalet am Kiental

This charming hotel in the lovely Bavarian town of Herrsching is welcoming at any time of year. The solid wood doors and window frames are designed to fit the style and architecture of the original antique building. The dining room serves excellent food, and the service is gracious and generous. The hosts are friendly and helpful. I left some items behind in my room, and when I called from the airport, there was no difficulty reaching the owner, who immediately took care of the problem. I would be happy to return and would recommend this hotel to anyone..

We spent two nights here. It is in a quiet area with very easy parking. Breakfast is good. The bed was comfortable. My one gripe was that there were no proper curtains and the shutters were not closeable. I like a dark bedroom and we were at the front (which is always lit up at night) on the road and over the main entrance. Not great sleep quality. But that apart (and as long as you are ok with stone floors) it's a nice hotel!

Loved staying here. This cosy hotel is well-located, being walkable from the train station and handy for the village and the lake. It has lots of charming character, with thoughtful and tasteful touches everywhere. Delicious and romantic breakfast. The staff are exemplary: efficient, unobtrusive, kind and could not be more helpful. Highly recommended. Would certainly stay there again.

Spent a wonderful night at this delightful chalet just outside of Munich which can be reached via the train from the station located within 10 min walking distance. Stayed at the smaller "Kline Zimmer" but spacious enough for two. The room and hotel itself were very clean, well kept and nicely decorated. Breakfast spread was plenty, fresh, and including eggs of your choice of preparation. Delicious over all! The church bell ringing was hardly noticeable with the windows closed. Lovely surrounding area with shops and bistros and Amersee a short 15 min walk away. Over all a great stay!

We stayed 4 nights in the Chalet. We had an "attic" room that had a view of the grounds and the church on the hill. It was a very large room and the shower was a walk in. We were there in November and it was very cold outside. We were warm and toasty inside. The manager welcomed us and made us feel like part of the fami l y. One of the bes t things about our stay was breakfast. We came down every morning to our own table filled with a variety of fòods. There was fruit, yogurt, meats, cheeses, breads, orange juice, water, and an assortment of jellies and jams. Then, our lovely waitress Melinda, would ask us if we would like some eggs and how we wanted them cooked. The staff could not do enough for us. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Nice small hotel in typical Bavarian style, where I have stayed several times in business. Excellent service, friendly staff and excellent restaurant. The breakfast is superb.||The hotel is located very central in the small village, just a 10 minutes walk to the lake.

Best hotel I've been in Herssching. Family owned hotel with superb friendly service.||Excellent decoration. The breakfast is a great experience, and the quality of the food second to none.||After 5 years travelling to Herrsching and trying various place, this is now my first (and only) choice.

It's a lovely stay.Beautifully styled spacious room, excellent service, wonderful restaurant with an exotic menu. All set in a very Bavarian background in walking distance to the lake and one of these cute baroque onion church towers

I found this place purely by accident on my way down from Andechs to Herrsching, and it was a delightful surprise: the menu offers exquisite combinations - some perfect, some intersting investigations into a new cuisine that combines eastern techniques with European classics in a minimalist way. I had two starters (and was offered a very good amuse gueule) for lunch and had enough, but the quantities are definitely not what you should come here for. But for surprisingly good cuisine, a beautiful setting and relaxation, yes, this is a correct place. I did not stay at the hotel but wandered around in the restaurant (I actually ate outside) and perused their brochure and I have no doubt the stay in the hotel is as rewarding as the restaurant, and I will definitely try it next time I'm in Munich. Service was perfect, and the wine quite OK: they normally have full bottles which was a bit too much for a lunch alone, so I was offered a Chardonnay from Southern Tirol at 13,50 EUR for a pichet instead. A very enjoyable experience.
