Romantik Hotel Knippschild

Stayed here for one night. Very quiet village allthough some rooms are close to the road which can cause some road noise. Staff very friendly. Room was fine and spotlessly clean, bathroom quite small relative to the room size. We did find it hard to get used to the german practice of having to separate beds with separate duvets, instead of a proper king bed with one cover but this is the case almost everywhere. Good sauna area, very peaceful. Had dinner in the main restaurant which was sadly a disapointment. Food looked nothing like the pictures in other reviews, bland taste, and seriously expensive for rural Germany. Also slow service. Breakfast was adequate.

Restaurant was great. All dishes were really delicious. Also has a very good service. Definitely would like to be there again.

A very well maintained hotel. Very quiet at night. Rooms are very clean and bathroom is very nice. Friendly staff. Great food. The saunas are at the right temperature and are a nice place to spend a relaxing afternoon. Great starting place for long hikes in the surrounding.

Our room was lovely and large, with a good size bathroom with two sinks! The walk-in shower was huge. The bathroom was very modern and super clean. There is no AC, so the windows were open. Unfortunately, the street was right outside our window.||||The room was furnished nicely, with easy to turn on and off lighting. On the negative side, there's no elevator, so we carried our luggage up to our room using stairs.

I visit the region frequently for work and after some experimenting in the region this hotel quickly has become a second home for me. The rooms are large and clean and the staff know you by name only after the second visit. ||Dinner is excellent, there is some serious cooking going on and if game is your thing it will not come much fresher than here. I like. A lot.

I stayed in this very quaint hotel 5 years ago and liked it last time, but loved it this time! They have remodeled the rooms with great amenities such as heated bathroom floor and heated towel rack!! The rooms are very nicely done and equipped.||But make sure you don't get there very late because they lock the front door. Luckily, my colleague was already there to check me in, unlock the front door!||Good breakfast already included, and friendly staff!||FYI, hotel is located about 20 min taxi ride (about 55 Euros) from Paderborn airport.

Nice and spacious hotel with nice and spacious rooms, lots of hooks and storage space in both bathroom as bedroom, love the library with free use of internet (also WiFi available in the room, but somehow we couldn't hook up). Also great: a Saunabag with extra towels, a bathrobe and slippers, free to use, in the closet. And... you get to choose your own pillow! ||||The sauna complex is, for a hotel, really extensive and all the extra's are great (tea and cookies, water and nuts, handcream all for free) The free bottle of water at the room was a nice plus. The steamroom and whirlpool were closed when we were there, so that was a pitty.||||||Staff was really friendly and forthcoming, polite. We ate at the restaurant of the hotel and service was more than correct.(for other nearby restaurants you can drive up to Warstein)||||Breakfast was really okay, loved the Sekt served at breakfast. The boiled eggs were cold though and yoghurt was warm, so that wa's a bit of a disappointment.||||Nice place to relax and use as startingpoint for big nature walks (maps available at reception) or a visit of Warstein.

Great hotel in small countryside in Germany. Very comfortable wide rooms, delicios and variety breakfast (with Champagne:), friendly and sympathetic staff. Great place for quite holidays or one-day business trip.
