Romantik Hotel Köllners Landhaus

Just a ten minute drive into Celle, the pastoral setting of this hotel is at once restful and elegant. Delightful gardens, footpaths everywhere, birds singing, no traffic noise and plush, elegant, modern rooms. The luxurious down comforters and pillows enveloped us. Linens all replaced daily. The wonderful (indeed, spectacular) restaurant wowed us two nights in a row. We sat out on the deck of the restaurant under an umbrella as the sun set over manicured lawns and gardens and ponds fit for a duke or king. We both agreed that the dining experience here was a the best we had in all of Europe. Everything about the hotel is SUPURB. No coffee service in the room - instead at our request there was a full coffee service waiting for us at the front desk at our requested 6:15 a.m. all three mornings to take up to our room. Only 10 or 12 rooms, aa elegant boutique luxury hotel.

Great place to spend some time with your significant other. There are 6 rooms which are quiet and spacious enough to feel right at home.

Bewertung nur für das Restaurant. Essen und Service passen für mich nicht zum Preispunkt des Restaurants. Das Essen ist grundsolide, ordentlich gewürzt und vernünftig dimensioniert. Allerdings sind die Preise dafür schon hoch und der Service gerade bei Reklamationen eher nicht besonders zuvorkommend. Viel Kreativität darf man auch nicht erwarten. Es gibt gut bürgerliches, viel Fleisch, die Nachtische sind hauptsächlich verschiedene Eissorten. Ich würde hier nicht mehr gezielt hingehen.

Das Hotel hat eine tolle Lage. Ich bin mir sicher, dass es hier im Frühjahr einfach traumhaft ist. Alles war sehr sauber und ordentlich. Das Zimmer hatte eine gute Größe und das Badezimmer war mehr als reichlich ausgestattet. Wenn ich etwas zu bemängeln hätte, dann wäre es, dass die Betten sehr hart sind und wir deswegen nicht so gut wie erwartet geschlafen haben. Und was uns sehr überrascht hat war, dass das Frühstück extra berechnet wurde, da überall (selbst am Aushang des Hotels selbst) angegeben war, dass das Frühstück inklusive ist. Nirgends wurde darauf hingewiesen, dass das Frühstück eben nicht im Preis inkludiert ist.
