"Located in the centre of town, right by the Lauter River, this popular restaurant has a casual brasserie feel and serves flavoursome regional and seasonal cuisine that draws on Mediterranean influences. The daily special, "Schuberts Schneller Teller" ("Schubert's Quick Plate"), is a hit at lunchtime. Entennest is a cosy and charming wine tavern that makes for a more rustic alternative – the menu is the same here in the evening. If you would like to stay overnight, the hotel of the same name has attractive individually furnished guestrooms." - Michelin Inspector

Hotel Schubert was a good experience! The staff were friendly and helpful, and my room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was superb (smoked salmon was especially fine!) The location was perfect for my planned trip. I did not have dinner at the hotel, but the staff gave me several recommendations for nearby places, and I chose one of them and was very happy with it. I happily recommend this hotel to others.

A nice hotel with a great location. The service was excellent and the restaurant was really good. I would definitely stay again if I have the opportunity.

Nice hotel just a footstep out of the historic city centre of Lautenbach. I got a nice big room (62) in the new annex. Room was spacious, comfortable bathroom, good wifi. One downside, the room has a round window which has a very light curtain. This does not block out light from outside. No big problem for me but if you are a light sleeper it might be better to ask for another room. all other windows in the room had curtains dat do block out all light. Breakfast in buffet style with everything you could wish for in the morning. Had diner in the restaurant as well, food was of high standard, delicious. Price for the room was reasonable. A place to return to.

Well this. Is simply an exceptional hotel, not in terms of over the top luxury but in terms of service, comfort and is in house restaurant. The second generation hotelier husband and wife team who operate it do so with the hands on care of a genuine host. My wife and I have stayed here multiple times and we keep coming back. ||They have three restaurant sites in their property, one overlooks the little river running besides the hotel, one is a quiet bountiful breakfast only room and the other is an unpretentious but clearly meritorious gourmet restaurant. The latter even has a fine selection of single malts in addition to fine wines. The cuisine and service merit a Michelin star, and I have enjoyed a number of these elsewhere so I can compare, but they do so with a pleasant directness that omits all of the stuffiness that the latter are so prone to exude. ||A final point is that it is only about 72 minutes from Frankfurt International Airport so it is a convenient overnight stop before you get to the airport AND it cost less than half as much as the typical airport region hotel||

Nice hotel, great rooms and an excellent restaurant. Superior breakfast. What’s missing? Even the minimum level of comfort when it’s a heat wave. I was shocked that they don’t even provide a fan in each room. It was in the 90s approaching 100 and someone needs to please explain to me why a fan is considered not an essential part of the room amenities in a 4-star “Romantik” Hotel? A fan costs 35 Euro. It lasts for at lest two years. I just am confused as to why hotels don’t provide this when the present day and the future points to HOT as the usual condition from June through August. Thank goodness I travel with my own fans! Others won’t have that luxury.

This family run hotel is the ideal stop if you are in the area. The staff is informative and very attentive. The rooms clean, quiet and of nice standard. It has a special feeling about it until other hotels. Its bigger than a B&B and smaller than chain hotels. The breakfast was quite generous with much choice. This I think the attention to detail and the charm has much to do with the fact that the owners are hands on in running the hotel and keeping up the standards. If you are in the region, this is a sure bet.

The Hotel is located on small river near the city center. Its very quiet at night. Rooms are modern and seem newly renovated. Hotel is well cleaned and so are the rooms. Rooms have minibars, this is something i really like in hotels, because more and more hotels dont have minibars anymore!. The hotel staff is very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good. The only issue is parking, they dont really have much spots. Overall it was a very pleasant stay, and i would stay here again.

For business we were in Lauterbach and we stayed in Hotel Schubert. According to the reviews Hotel Schubert must have a very good restaurant. After having dropped the luggage in the rooms we went to the bar. ||||However; there is no seperate bar so we sat at a table in the restaurant. After some drinks we had decided to stay there for diner and it was good indeed. ||||I ordered the local dish; Beutelchen. This was very tasty and I regret that I ordered it only as a starter. Next time I will order it as a main course so I have more!||||Further; the wine was very reasonable priced. We drank a Brunello di Montalcino for less than € 40,-. And it was a nice wine!||||The ladies who served us were also very friendly and helpful; especially Frau Baus treated us well, during the evening.||||The breakfast the next day was okay; nothing special however.
