In this age of internet shopping a business like Romanys only has any purpose if it offers excellent service and expert advice. Romanys provides neither. Its staff, who are utterly charmless in both the Soho and Mayfair shops, are either unable or unwilling to offer help. Also, its returns policy is terrible. There is a list of things that can't be returned and if they do accept a return Romanys charge a 20% "re-stocking fee". A £20 charge to put an item priced at £100 back on the shelf could kindly be described as steep
I had a bad experience in Romanys at the beginning of the year, however, before writing an unfavourable review I thought as a matter of fairness I should give them a second chance. I certainly won't be giving them a third.
