Truly amazing Italian food home made pasta. Lamb is an amazing taste adventure. Best so far in Reno for Italian.

Fancy, Atmosphere very nice. Very attentive staff. Food was delicious (Watch the statues in the middle, they rotate)

Had an absolutely fantastic meal here. Everything is packed with flavor from the breads to the pastas and they have an amazing wines by the glass list including pistachios and beam, and miner family Cabernet. I had the cauliflower side dish with the spicy clam linguini and am craving more. Everyone loved their meals. Don’t walk to Romanza when you’re craving Italian food in Reno, run there. The decor is tacky, but the food and service is amazing.

We visited to celebrate our grandparents’ 67th wedding anniversary and couldn’t have chosen a more perfect spot. The food, ambiance, and attentive service were all exceptional. Jeremiah, our server, went above and beyond to make the occasion truly memorable. Our meal featured a delightful selection of dishes including the burrata salad, veal parmigiana, veal piccata scallopini, minestrone soup, and we finished with a decadent Amaretto ricotta cheesecake. Every dish was exquisite, making the evening one to remember.

We ended up coming here for dinner last night after finding out it would be close to a 2 hour wait at Oceana. We love Italian food so it wasn't hard to adjust on what we wanted for dinner. We came up and the hostess did inform us they were booked, however, the bar seating was open. We gladly accepted bar seating. Our servers/bartenders (So sorry we forgot your names! One is a trainee though) were so welcoming and friendly! They provided good recommendations on drinks and food. It been a while since we came across such outstanding service! Honestly the best service we received from our trip to Reno this weekend. Now about the food: they are generous with their portions! My other half ordered the trio (not pictured) and I ordered the Bolognese. We did an order of the salad to share. We barely made a dent in our food before waving the white flag. Both dinners were packed up to go and currently waiting for us to devour for dinner. I highly recommend everyone to try this place out at least once - whether it's for a date night or to grab a bite to eat. The staff alone makes it worthwhile.

So I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and it was a huge disappointment. So. Much. Breading!!! my husband ordered the Bolognese Con Mafaldine. He loved his dish. In addition, the wine list was amazing and the pork belly starter was fantastic. I’d be willing to come back and try something other than the eggplant

A wonderful night at the Romanza! The food was amazing, the cocktails (I had the lemoncello tini) were delicious and Rocky was a fabulous waiter! Our first time at the Peppermill and Rocky even told us we get a local 20% discount with a club card! We will definitely be back! If you want a romantic evening with outstanding service and food this is the place!! Cheers, Amy & Jim Tyndall

First time eating here, every time we’ve tried in the past it’s booked solid. I wondered what the hype was and we were a little disappointed. Started out asking if they have Italian sausage links and that was a big NO! I come from a big east coast Sicilian family and I’ve never been to an Italian restaurant that didn’t have Italian sausage links on the menu. We started with complementary bread, butter and bread sticks that were stale. They also brought out balsamic that was empty and oil to dip bred in. We ordered Sicilian wood fired shrimp that tasted ok but not great. The Cesar salad was great. I ordered a sampler entree that had sausage lasagna, chicken parmigiana and fettuccine garlic Alfredo. The pasta sauce was very rich tasting. The chicken parmigiana tasted pretty good but not what I’m used to. Portions could have been bigger for the price. My wife ordered linguine and clams as she always does and didn’t like it at all. Small portions of clams and a lot of linguine. I also requested they did some for my wife since it was her Birthday and lady who sat us said she would take care of it and nothing happened, I was a little upset and not sure we will be back.

Yelp
Tonight John was our waiter. He was very attentive. He really made us feel at home. This is one of the nicest restaurants at Peppermill. Beautiful and elegant for sure.

Yelp
Staff were pleasant, a little on the quiet side and they did not check on us once we had our order. Our meals were good - although the mushroom pappardelle was very salty. Our drinks were amazing! We would rerun one more time when in the area as we'd like to give them a second chance. Staff might have been new which is why service was slow and no one checked on us. Atmosphere was lovely.

Yelp
Four of us dined here on Easter Sunday. We arrived on time for our reservation and we were promptly seated and give menus and water. Our server checked in with us quite quickly and took our drink order and asked if we had any questions about the menu. Once we ordered, our food arrived relatively quickly. I started with a bowl of minestrone soup. It was delicious. Savory and filled with large chunks of vegetables. I had a pasta trio for dinner. It consisted of small portions of chicken Parmesan, fettuccine Alfredo, and sausage lasagna. The food was delicious, and there was an abundance of it. As a matter of fact, I only ate half my entrée. I was so full that I didn't have dessert. That's a rarity for me! The ambience is unique. I think the restaurant needs a refresh. The walls are surrounded by heavy linen curtains. It kind of reminded me of my grandmother's living room. Or a funeral parlor. There is a big elevated statue in the middle of the restaurant that rotates. Interesting to say the least. I'm not sure if they had music playing or not. The restaurant is not inexpensive. My partner and I each had a salad or bowl of soup and an entrée. And one glass of wine. Our share of the bill was $138. We hadn't been there in 10 years and decided to give it a try. Although it was a nice experience, there are other Italian restaurants I would rather eat at in town.

Yelp
We FINALLY made our way into trying the Romanza Ristorante after all these years and I feel like we have been missing out. The food was really really good and the service was even better. The Chicken Alfredo was cooked really well and the Hanger steak was full of flavor. And as funny as it sounds the highlight of our meal was the complamentry raspberry white chocolate truffle that was brought out at the end of the meal. They are full of flavor.

Yelp
We have eaten here a few times, and we usually have a good time! Staff is always really friendly, absolutely no complaints there. Complimentary bread is always yummy! We ordered chicken Alfredo, which was okay, nothing out of the ordinary, chicken was bland. And we also ordered a seafood pasta, it was interesting, the flavors didn't go well together so it wasn't my favorite. Ambiance was fine, considering it is right next to the casino floor, it did get a bit loud if you sit near the entrance, ruins the date night vibes.

Yelp
We loved our server. He was awesome! The food was good especially the appetizers. We did have to send a few things back - the broccolini was way over salted and the lamb was overdone. The rest of the food was really good like the scallops.

Yelp
Stop the train right here, I am getting off. What a fantastic dining experience! Let's start with the staff. OUTSTANDING. Maddie was our server. Stellar. The aesthetics were amazing, with a rotating statue, and warn Roman design really sets a classy mood. The bread--amazing. Including the cheese pretzels. So good. Both the arugula and regular salads were really good. Very very satisfying. After we finished our salads and bread we were like OK we're done. But we were not done I got the chicken Parm, and thank God I did because my last experience almost turned me off the dish. This chicken Parm melted in your mouth, it was so delicious and so perfect. I ordered mine with a spaghetti instead of rigatoni, and I was very impressed with their robust and hearty sauce. Wow My wife had the cioppino, and she was amazed at how fresh and wonderful this dish was. It is a big bowl of seafood, and she enjoyed every bite of it . Last was the tiramisu, and I kid you not, the best tiramisu I've ever had in my life hands-down. Oh my God, amazing.

Yelp
Hoping to see the rotating, statuary centerpiece and flaming columns, we arrived for dessert on a Saturday night. Theo and Scott were great servers, but the desserts left a bit to be desired. The cannoli with pistachio, and candied orange peel as well as the lemon semifreddo were my favorites, but the tiramisu was inedible. Touted as the most romantic restaurant in Reno, Romanza is separated by a heavy curtain from all the slot machines on the casino floor, so keep your expectations in check.

Yelp
Start off. This is a nice casual fine dinning restaurant. Ambience is a solid 4.5. Service was 5 food was a 4.75. I would have done a 4.5 review but no halves here. 4 would have been unfair so rounded up. Rocky our server as well as his assistant server were very nice and friendly. Making sure our drinks were filled pretty quickly. The perfect amount of small talk to make you feel comfortable but not so much where they were apart of the dinner party. Food. We started with the rock shrimp and calamari and it was a large portion and good flavor. I wanted to try a few things so got the trio. The sausage lasagna was the star, chic parm was strong and the fettuccine Alfredo was pretty good. My wife got the house made special ravioli. Today they were lobster and damn. Those were fantastic. Was kinda jealous I didn't order it. For desert we got the cheese cake and the cannoli. Cheese cake was not as expected but still very good and very savory. Now the cannoli was very good. Sweet and light a perfect end of the meal. Great for a relaxing date night or a couples dinner. I would recommend

Yelp
Another 5 star meal and the linguini and clams has got to be some of the best I've had. Service last night was mediocre. Our server looked like she didn't like her job and didn't really come around a whole lot. Either way, food was still excellent and I still highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
This is the first time we have had the opportunity to enjoy this place. It is tough to get in here without a reservation. Finely we were led into the hidden dome which hides as huge rotating Roman statue surrounded by flaming torches and a huge domed roof that changes colors with the ambient music. What a great feel to the place. Our server was Maddie. She treated us pretty well. We had the Old Fashioned for two which was really good. Then we split a bottle of wine for dinner. I had the lobster and asparagus risotto. It was pretty good. The wife had the cannelloni which was amazing. If I had a complaint it would be we felt rushed. The busser came by mid meal and asked if we wanted a box. My wife said yes and he grabbed her plate and walked off with it. She was still in the middle of eating. Other than that it was a lovely night we finished it off with the tiramisu . Thank you so much. Cost was pretty decent for the quality of the meal with a bottle of wine. Locals get 20% off.

Yelp
What a beautiful little restaurant that we found through yelp. It was located in the Peppermill hotel and absolutely beautiful. We had a large party and everyone was happy with their meals. We had a great waiter, friendly and attentive. It's pretty pricey, but definitely worth the experience. Try the Lobster risotto and the chicken Parmesan, you will be pleasantly impressed!

Yelp
We went here for a date night and the food was delicious! The appetizers were probably our favorite part of the night and their portions are HUGE. The waiter did warn us about it so by the time we got our entrees, we were so full and they boxed it up for us. The tiramisu was good too!

Yelp
Straight to the point, Had reservations for 7:30pm on a Sunday. Got seated quickly. Vibes and aesthetics 10/10 although when me and my partner went the statue was not spinning maybe it was down but still 10/10 Seats are beautiful booth cushions shaped as pink clam shells I believe. And they had columns that had fire coming out of it . Our waiter was amazing . He was super professional and funny. He was super attentive (i didn't catch his name) he fixed up our table and made sure we had space for our food. He refilled our drinks and made sure we knew the chef's special of the day. Very very professional 100/10. Great service from everyone. We were asked if we wanted bread and we obviously said yes! It comes with vinaigrette, and butter with herbs & sea salt . They give you a variety of bread ; sourdough bread, blueberry bread, bread sticks, and another bread that i can't remember! Delicious all of them! Our food arrived super quick, the meal was nice and hot ! Our waiter grated fresh parmesan cheese on our food! 300Xs better than olive garden (obviously) They are not stingy with portions definitely took leftovers back to the hotel. After we ate the waiter brought out 2 tiny raspberry desserts with white chocolate on it, and they were amazing, i am not a filling type of person but those were delicious small but satisfying (the size of a grape). We did all this in an hour!! FAST SERVICE ! In and out! From being seated to leaving! F A S T. After eating what we can, our waiter packed our leftovers for us! Took it away and packed it for us neatly . We didn't have to lift a finger. I am not used to the fancy life haha! Blown away by EVERYTHING. Compliments to the chef, waiter, and staff in general!

Yelp
Celebrated my daughter's graduation from UNR here recently and aside from the incredibly slow service, it was an overall great experience. The restaurant is decorated nicely and despite being located inside of the Peppermill, we did not smell the cigarette smoke that is very overwhelming in some of the other restaurants also located inside of this casino. The food was delicious and everyone was full and happy on the way out! I will be sure to visit again but will definitely not allow the same waiter to wait on us. He was no where to be found most of the time and the restaurant was not full (our reservation was for 8:30pm).

Yvan N.

Yelp
My family and I ordered the crispy pork belly as an appetizer and it was wonderful. We also ordered the lobster risotto, the cioppino, linguini and clam and for desert, the chocolate layered cake. Our server Rocky is a must have. He was so energetic and happy to serve us. If you come here, ask for Rocky as your server. He even gave us complimentary almond scented hand towels and white chocolate truffle raspberry candies. The atmosphere of the place is very nice. Fire would like up from these small towers and it looks amazing. The statue in the middle of the restaurant shows me real art in Rome. I would 100% come back again. Highly recommend this place

Yelp
We enjoyed a date night dinner at Romanza while staying at the Peppermill. The ambience is really unique and quite romantic actually, complete with flaming columns and a starry sky ceiling. Our servers were very attentive and extremely friendly and approachable, which made the experience so much nicer. We ordered the house limoncello and the Old Fashioned for two in which the presentation was pretty dang cool, complete with a smoking carafe. For our starter we ordered the pork belly, it was tasty but a little two sweet and almost barbecue flavor which didn't really fit flavor wise. The bread basket was as full of fun bread btw! For dinner I ordered the cannelloni and my hubby ordered the scampi, it was really yummy! Both were quite big portions, and we also ordered the broccolini on the side which was absolutely delicious. We were too fully for dessert but they still packed up a to go box of raspberry truffles and biscotti which was a nice touch. We enjoyed the whole experience and would definitely be back again.

Yelp
My husband and I had dinner here once while staying at the Peppermill. It was a decent meal in an upscale, pretty ambiance; however, our meals were not great. Our sparking water was flat, but the bread was excellent. Our caesar salad was too peppery for my taste but it had a nice parmesan wafer. I ordered the Tuscany Trio: sausage lasagna, fettuccine alfredo, and chicken parmesan. The chicken parmesan came with spaghetti not the promised angel hair pasta. The dish was mostly pasta. However, the chicken was very tender and tasted good. My husband enjoyed linguine and clams. We were served complimentary limoncello. We ordered additional drinks.

Yelp
Took my mom and boyfriend to Romanza's for my Mom's 70th birthday celebration. I made a reservation through their website and put in the notes we were celebrating her 70th birthday. Turns out they do not read those notes because they never acknowledged our special occasion. So...that was a bummer. We ordered the arancini appetizer and they came out 3 on the plate and were very small. They definitely didn't compare to my friends homemade version but my mom said she enjoyed them. My boyfriend had the seafood risotto, my mom had the chicken piccata and I had the spaghetti and meatballs. Our entrees were delicious! We all were happy with our choices. We asked for more bread and it never came. Maybe it was an off night but we didn't love the service for the price we were paying. We forgot to give them our players card to get the locals discount. Had our server been a little more personable, she would have known about the birthday and known 2 of us were locals which would have reminded us about the discount. The interior is gorgeous. We'll be back and won't let the staff drop the ball next time.

Yelp
This is definitely a beautiful restaurant on the inside. We went there about six months ago and decided to give it a second try. The noodles are definitely al dente, but the service was not the best from the time that we walked in. We got ignored by a gentleman that was walking past us to the desk And said that everything was reserved so he could give us a booth. Our waitress didn't come around very often. The best service we got was from the really nice lady that was setting up tables and clearing dishes. She was very attentive and helpful. There were several waiters and staff members walking around, but were catering to a lady who I'm assuming is a regular Because they were all focused on talking to her. The sausage lasagna I had was delicious. It was part of a trio, but the rest of the food was OK definitely don't think I will be going back for dinner, but if you're looking for a gorgeous restaurant to go into this is definitely the place.

Syl D.

Yelp
Had a wonderful Anniversary Dinner. If very hard to please my Chef Husband. Just a couple of presentations of food and chipped display plate. Otherwise the flavors were on point. We received a complimentary dessert which was very yummy. Gravely appreciated not expecting it at all. It's a must to try if you are staying in Peppermill Reno NV

Yelp
Great service just great service. I went here recently for my birthday dinner. We started by have a few of the appetizers, and a few drinks. My main course was the trio which included chicken parm, sausage lasagna, and pasta Alfredo. Overall the food was great! The atmosphere and ambiance was great inside it really just puts you in a relaxed state of mind. Our service was excellent as we had a server and an assistant that tended to our every need. They went above and beyond to make it a special dinner! I will be coming back soon!

Yelp
I had Christmas Eve dinner here with my family and I have nothing but good things to say. We shared the arancini and carpaccio then I followed with the Caesar salad and Tuscan trio. The Tuscan trio included fettuccini Alfredo, chicken Parmesan, and lasagne. All were delicious with HUGE servings. It seemed like 3 entrees in a gigantic plate. Good thing pasta makes amazing leftovers. The server was lovely and detail oriented. The whole team working was very courteous and the place is relaxing, cozy, and elegant. I find the new iPad menus interesting considering you can't order from them. Saves paper when the menu changes? Not sure that offsets the electricity usage. I've been here many times before but I'd definitely say they've stepped it up!

Yelp
Romanza in the Peppermill Reno is my favorite Italian restaurant in the city and one of my top five overall. My wife and I went there for my birthday dinner Sunday June 1. We ordered the osso buco with polenta and it was incredible! The meat was amazing and the polenta was the most flavorful and creamy we've ever had. For a starter we ordered the minestrone soup and because I didn't understand the soup de jour because of poor hearing I ended up ordering two servings of that to go. The minestrone soup was so salty that it was inedible, especially since my wife has a hereditary kidney disease and can't eat salt. When we got home I tried the soup de jour and even after putting 2/3!cup of water and half a package of ramen noodles without the seasoning it was still a total salt bomb! Altogether these four servings of soup cost us about $50.

Yelp
Wow. I was speachless. John G. Was my server today and he did a phenomenal job. We came here on a Thursday night and got seated immediately. The service was so amazing. Extremely impressed. The resturant is gorgeous, I felt as I was in Italy. Food was phenomenal. I cant not rave about how amazing this restaurant is!!! Thank you all for the amazing service and food. We will be back.

Yelp
First time here and never again. The main courses took longer than it should, and it was definitely not worth the wait. The mushroom pasta with jumbo prawns was a salty slop of a dish with rubbery prawns. Worse yet - I could literally smell the putrid ~$50 sea bass as the server placed it on our table. Took a tiny bite to taste test it, and yup, it was putrid...and also overly salted, as if there was an attempt to cover the rotted condition of the fish by salting it. Absolutely inexcusable in any restaurant to serve up, let alone at a supposedly "higher end" one that that charges what they do. I sent it back and it was deducted, but still spent over $100 on two drinks and uneaten pasta. Wasted time, money, and left hungry and disgusted.

Yelp
We decided to make a reservation for Thanksgiving dinner. This is my first time trying this place. The waitress that took our order forgot our appetizer, so I have to ask for it. But since the other waitress serves our main course, I just canceled the order. They were very apologetic for forgetting our appetizer. They have a steady flow of guest coming and going. The food was tasty. I gave them 4 stars because the main waitress only checked on us once, so we gave the other waitress her tip because she even boxed the leftover. Overall, this restaurant has a nice ambiance, and the majority of the employees were very attentive and pleasant. Also, bread sticks and fresh bread were delicious.

Julia L.

Yelp
I had a great dining experience here with my boyfriend. The tables for 2 are very comfortable and the couch seating is angled on the same side of the table but not directly next to each other. The service was good, and the complementary bread basket had a nice variety of breads, butter, tomato butter, vinegar, and olive oil. I ordered the fettuccini with shrimp added on, and those shrimps are huge! Very flavorful and succulent. The Alfredo sauce was also flavorful but not too overwhelming like some creamy sauces can get. The dish was topped with freshly grated Parmesan and ground black pepper! With the check we also got 2 white chocolate raspberry truffles which was a nice touch. Locals take 20% off at Peppermill is also a nice plus :)

Yelp
What a hidden gem inside of The Peppermill Casino, we started off with the antipasto salad, which Maddy, our server split for us . We ordered a bottle of wine, Meiomi Pinot Noir (and we took home what we were unable to drink( I know cardinal sun that we didn't finish the bottle, lol) Hubby had the scallops that were served on lobster risotto and I had the swordfish, which was one of the specials. Both of us were very pleased and agreed we would order our meals again. No room for dessert but when Maddy brought our warm towels she included white chocolate raspberries for each of us which was the perfect bite if sweetness. Return trip-definitely!

Yelp
Minestrone soup was tasty but everything else was mediocre. One of our servers seemed new and lacked experience. Not sure if I'll be back.

Yelp
I was hesitant to come here because Chi in Peppermill was such a big disappointment. My girlfriend and I decided that since she lives so close, we need to try it at least once. Ambience: the ambience was pretty nice. It wasn't busy since we went on a weekday. I like how they have booths for two that face the aisle. You get to sit next to each other instead of across. The ceiling changes color every so often and the statue in the middle rotates slowly. Food: I ordered the eggplant Parm while she ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp. They also gave us various breads along with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, butter and tomato butter. The breads were delicious. The eggplant parm was a good size and fried nicely. The pieces were thick so you can really taste the eggplant unlike at some other places. Service: service was decent. There were two people helping us and they kept our water filled and checked in every so often. Overall it was pretty good. Very expensive for the two of us so we might not come back but I was impressed still.

Yelp
Romantic and beautifully decorated! Food tasty and portions were plenty! The plate chargers were Versace! Upscale and romantic! I would love going there again!

Yelp
What a meal!! Been coming to Peppermill for over 12 years, and this was our first time dining at Romanza, and it did not disappoint. Excellent service even from the start when we got seated. The host was super friendly. Exceptional menu, and I'm so happy we dined here for my son's bday. Super fancy decor, and we were seated at the chef's table. We could see how the food was cooked and prepped, and honestly, what an incredible experience. I'm a total foodie (check out my Instagram @melshealthybowl); you'll see. What we ordered: Complimentary bread and breadsticks: super delicious bread options. The bread was not fresh as I'd liked, but I enjoyed the breadsticks! They gave us regular butter, sun-dried tomato butter, olive oil, and balsamic vinegar. Calamari: great appetizer; I love the two choices of dipping sauces. They were crispy and off to a great start. Shrimp Alfredo: whoaaaa, those prawns are hugeeee! Three pieces, and my son enjoyed this so much! Creamy pasta, and it's what he wanted all weekend, he said. Spaghetti with meatballs: classic, and the hubby enjoyed this too. He loved that the meatball tasted light (veal). Not too heavy on the sauce, and it's just perfection! Lobster Ravioli, oh my gosh, what a delicious dish this is! I enjoyed every sec of it and got sad when nearing the last bite. I dipped some bread in that creamy butternut sauce, and let me tell you, the best meal I've had in peppermill all these years (over bimini steakhouse)--kisses to the chef. Trio: my brother ordered this, came with spaghetti, lasagna and something else. He loved it too! Great portion and he was impressed. Chicken parm: what a portion! They did not skimp the piece of chicken here and my mom and grandma enjoyed this very much! Not too heavy on the sauce and they kept saying how juicy the chicken was. Great dish. Lobster and asparagus risotto: my dad has some dental work and this was the perfect dish for him. Super creamy risotto and he wanted seconds. Chocolate cake: complimentary for the birthday boy. He loved the cake! We were all so full so we didn't get to try it. White chocolate raspberry: before leaving they give you a hot towel and this delicious white chocolate balls to enjoy!! Yum Overall what a great dine in experience. Cheers to all the great chefs at this restaurant and we will be sure to come back once again. CHECK OUT MY REEL ON IG AND TIKTOK @melshealthybowl.

Yelp
We really wanted to love it but honestly for the price it was just eh. I added a star for the vibes because it truly was the most beautiful restaurant I have ever seen. You feel transported to another place. You do not feel like you are in a hotel in Reno. I'd give this a 10/10! The food on the other hand was mediocre. Calamari was soggy. Our bread tasted stale. Steak was a little tough and my friend said her order of risotto tasted a little like dirty water. My soup and salad were just ok and my soup was barely warm. To top it off our waitress seemed annoyed every time she came over to our table. We didn't even call her after we placed our order but she came back a few times to see if we needed anything and each time she just gave off a "I don't wanna be here vibe." Which honestly ruins the whole experience and when you are paying what we paid you'd expect exceptional service. If you are still insistent on coming here I'd say dress cute, have drinks, take some photos, and have dinner elsewhere.

Yelp
This is our go to place for great food and service. Jeremiah makes the meal amazing with his smile, and attention to whatever we needed. :)

Yelp
Celebrated our wedding anniversary and felt like we took a quick trip to Italy. Food fantastic, drinks on point, servers next level attention to detail and ambiance romantic. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I went last weekend with 3 other people for a friend's birthday. We all looked over the menu and were super excited because the menu looked amazing. We got there and it was tacky in a cute way. When we ordered drinks the waiter seemed to unhappy that one guest only wanted water and kept asking if he really only wanted water which was a bit awkward. My friend and I only had one drink each which he didn't seem thrilled about either and we did order a bottle of wine. We ordered two appetizers to share. The meatballs were dry and crumbly. The pork belly was the best dish of the night and the only reason I'm giving them 3 stars. For entrees we had carpaccio, some sort of veal piccata, a pasta trio, and the short ribs. Carpaccio - meat quality was good but there were so many pine nuts on top I had to scrap everything off the top to taste the meat, I'm not talking a handful, I'm talking a cup of pine nuts. Veal piccata - the veal was tender, the sauce was lacking, the pasta seemed to have no sauce at all, overall not very good Short ribs - the polenta has little taste and was gritty, short ribs were tender and good, the chestnuts were slimy, the vegetables were okay Pasta trio - you hope if you have three options one would be at least edible. All three were terrible. Dry meat in the lasagna, Alfredo that didn't taste like Alfredo, marinara was worse than a store bought jar. Dinner with tip was over $400 which I was expecting, but for the price I expected better food and to not have everyone leave disappointed.

Yelp
We had a great time. Tasty food with big portions, friendly and efficient service, and lovely ambiance.

Yelp
Romanza has the best food out of all of the restaurants in the Peppermill. The service was very attentive and they had good recommendations for wine and food. The interior decor is a so kitschy that it actually works.

Yelp
When we come to Reno, we always stay at the Peppermill. Each time we come, we enjoy the food. We never need to leave the hotel. Food is so good. This trip we tried this restaurant. It look so romantic and service is top notch. Forgot to take photos but will do better on next trip. We will be back.

Yelp
The food here is amazing! Everytime we come to Reno this is the only place we make reservations at. My husbands top 2 favorite The ribeye or the short rib they are phenomenal. I highly recommend the Seabass, cioppino or even the chicken fettuccini. The sea bass is my ultimate go to and it is sooo amazing. Rocky and Jon are the best servers we've ever had and are always so sweet, accommodating and attentive. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
What an incredible dining experience! Everything was simply incredible. We ordered the crab and lobster arancini balls to start which had just the right amount of romesco sauce. It came with 3 balls which was the perfect amount for the two people. Then we split the linguini and clams from the pasta's and the jumbo sea scallops - WOW. The sauce for the pasta was so light and tasty. And the sea scallops were cooked perfectly. I loved the whole ambiance as well- the ceiling changes colors giving the impression of a night sky, and the rotating Roman sculpture in the center of the upper section truly made me feel like I was abroad. The pictures were low quality unfortunately- they don't do the dishes justice!

Yelp
Went here for my husband's birthday yesterday. Service was great but the food was hit and miss. Carpaccio was good and the bread they served with the hard crust was delicious, but our entrees were awful. The chicken Parmesan has a drumstick attached to it. It was... interesting. The marinara sauce was more like arrabbiata sauce, too much red pepper and way too much basil. I got the chicken piccata and the sauce was delicious but the chicken was overcooked and the pasta in both mine and the chicken Parmesan were boiled too long; overly saturated and doughy. For a $350 dinner that was sorely disappointing.

Yelp
Fabulous dinner tonight! Everything was perfect, food and service. I started with a delicious Caesar salad. They nailed it! They serve a tasty bread basket. I especially loved the bread sticks. For my entree, I went with the filet Mignon. It was perfectly cooked medium rare and the sauce on it was stupendous! The taste was point on perfection! I finished with a pretty good tiramisu. They have a decent selection of wines by the glass. Service was great, friendly, attentive, and professional. Ambiance was pleasant.

Yelp
We were expecting good food but let me tell you this is a upscale place! The food was amazing . The service from Rocky was on point, friendly and attentive. His assistant was also always refilling water and checking on us. The ceiling changes color as you are eating and enjoying the your meal. I had classic lasagna which was enough for three people and hubby had laugistino and shrimp and he said the flavors were delish. It was hubby's birthday and Rocky brought out a six layer chocolate cake that was wonderful and huge! Can't wait to be back and eating here again. Come hungry the portions are huge for a upscale restaurant

Yelp
My husband and I came here for the first time on 1/6/24 and we had an incredible experience! The staff were all welcoming and attentive and our server was especially wonderful. We had shrimp/calamari appetizer, which was cooked perfectly, not overly breaded, and a huge portion. The Caesar salad was ice cold and dressed perfectly. My husband got the Tuscany Trio that he loved. And I had the wild mushroom pappardelle with grilled chicken that was amazing. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Made late reservations and they were able to take us in earlier. We had the caprese and Caesar salad to start off with and both were refreshing and perfect amount as an appetizer. I also started with the Moscato wine which was amazingly sweet and fruity. We then shared the trio plate and the fettuccine was surprisingly my favorite out of all three. Our drinks were so good but if I had to choose out of the mule or cherrytini I would go with the mule. The cherrytini was very sweet. Tiramisu was so good and lemon tart was great too. Awesome dinner and would love to go again. Our waitress was Betsy and she was awesome -- even gave us a free dessert because the drinks took longer than expected. We didn't mind.
