Rome To Brooklyn Pizza Review - Brooklyn - New York - The Infatuation

"Some pizza is delicate and refined. Other pizza is minimalist, with just a touch of basil and olive oil to round things out. Rome To Brooklyn in Williamsburg falls into neither of these categories. The pizza here is as in-your-face as a hyper-confident 12-year-old with two favorite colors and a noteworthy stamp collection. Their barbecue chicken pie - which comes covered in gorgonzola and swirls of barbecue sauce - is the perfect example of this, but what you really want is the grandma slice with pepperoni. The dense, chewy crust sags under the weight of its toppings, which is an auspicious sign for a slice of pizza." - Bryan Kim

I really liked the pizzeria. The dough in pizza is especially good - it is very crispy! I also liked the size of the pizza - it's really huge! Everything was delicious, the staff was friendly. My four children were absolutely thrilled too! We will definitely come back here.

I wanted to give this place a try and the reviews seemed good, but the pizza I received through an uber eats delivery last night was exceptionally bad, hence this review. For starters, the pizza only traveled a 6 minute bike ride, but the quality of it was awful. The box was already covered in oil when I picked it up, and when I opened it, the cheese and sauce had fallen off the entire pizza and fallen into the box. The pieces that remained with some toppings were inedible, the dough was incredibly chewy and not crispy like I'd hoped (and read in the reviews). I don't write many reviews unless the experience is very good, or very bad. This was the latter. Probably a mixture of bad product (the toppings should not fall off the pizza) and bad/careless delivery too. Probably better eating at the location/spot, but for all my years living in NYC, this is the worst pizza delivery I have ever had.

Great variety of fresh slices! Anything that had some of that red sauce was just 🤌 perfect. That square slice with pesto and vodka sauce was thiccc. Definitely would eat here again

The staff of Rome to Brooklyn are amazing. They are very pleasant and accommodating. I have taken my students there on a trip and they were pleasant and made sure that they had everything they needed. Mr. Rigert and the staff made recommendations and ensured that we all had something that we would like. The pizzas were delicious. The mushroom was my favorite, it was flavorful and crispy. I have visited the pizzeria three times in the last two months and I live in queens. My students will visit it again next week.

Faccaccia bread for the mortadella sandwich was like a crouton. It was hard as a rock. It scratched up the roof of my mouth. There was hardly any meat or cheese on it. Sandwich did not have parm on it as advertised. With a soda, it came to $20. It was so disappointing.

This place is so damn good. Been coming here for years and happy to find out they moved with me to Greenpoint. I always get the chicken Cesar salad but then break down and order a few slices. The vodka sauce is one of the best I’ve ever had. All of the pizza is amazing of course but you should try the meatballs, salads, panzerotti etc. Thanks again!

Google
Truly the BEST pizza. Just WOW. So many great pizza spots in New York obviously but this somethin else. From the crust to the sauce. 🤤

I’ve been so excited for them to open. I stopped by for the grand opening and got three slices to go. The Burrata Pesto slice was SO fluffy with a crisp bottom. The pepperoni Grandma slice had so much flavor. Even the plain slice was amazing. I can’t wait to try to Pear Gorgonzola slice So happy to have a great pizza shop in the neighborhood

Yelp
I had an amazing experience thanks to Jordan! From the moment I walked in, his warm and friendly attitude made me feel welcome. He's knowledgeable, passionate, and recommended one of the best pizzas I've ever had.

Yelp
First to review! Well deserved 5/5 stars. I previously reviewed the other location in East Williamsburg, but after coming to the new location, I wholeheartedly give this place a perfect 5/5 star. I've been to a good 40+ pizza joints in my lifetime and I've literally gone from Rome to Brooklyn and Brooklyn to Rome during the summers for Agosto with my Italian partner back to his hometown in lazio. Namely, Lucalis's, l'industrie, Fini, Di Fara, Luigi's, John on Bleeker, MyPie, Upside, Paulie Gees, Scarrs, Mamas Too, etc. This place deserves a rightful place in hall of fame for top 3 pizzas in all of NYC. The pizza here is thin, albeit some other thicker pizzas are Sicilian style, but delicious in a different style. Very light and not heavy or greasy, you could easily scarf a few slices! My personal poison are the garlic knots. Best garlic knots in all of NYC. The owner Aurel is a super nice down to earth guy, and he is the stereotypical friendly neighborhood pizza owner. A definite favorite pizza joint I visit frequently, and now I don't have to go all the way to East Williamsburg anymore! Convenient for my desires, dangerous for my waistline ‍

Yelp
I'd rate Rome to Brooklyn three and a half stars. I think it's a Taglia style pizzeria. The crust style was sort of a Sicilian style but I don't think that was the intention given the pizzeria is called Rome to Brooklyn. The toppings were the showcase of the slice. We had one with vodka sauce and pesto sauce. Lots of seating inside. Service was very quick.

Yelp
Solid place to get a slice! I find it kind of hard to rate pizza, because I feel like at a certain point, it's all the same to me lol. That being said, I thought the crust had a good texture, and the toppings were yummy. I love a white sauce mushroom pizza, so of course I had to get a mushroom slice. I do wish that more of their slices came in a triangle shape though, because I'm not a huge fan of square slices.

Yelp
Very Brooklyn vibe pizzeria. After much deliberation, ordered a mushroom grandma pie to go. Mushrooms were a plenty, fresh & meaty. Crispy & not bready crust. Garlic infused tomato sauce, could have used just a tad more salt. Service couldn't have been any friendlier. I will definitely go back & try a regular pie.

Yelp
I've been walking by this place for months since it was under construction and I finally got the chance to grab some slices today for dinner. I grabbed six slice and five of them were thin slices with the crispiest crust ever. You could tell ingredients are prioritized here because the pepperonis were those cute and fancy little cup ones! Each slice tasted so fresh and crispy. I did grab one thicker slice which was the burata and vodka slice. This one was hands down my favorite I couldn't get enough of it and I refused to share that slice (corner left in the pic!). I am so excited to get a fresh pie of the vodka burata and see how much better it taste fresh out the oven my mouth is actually watering as I think about it! Rome to Brooklyn is going to be my new go to spot for dinner (and probably lunch). If i could give 10 stars i would that's how amazing this place was.

Yelp
My wife and I loved the pizza, but what really stood out was Jordan's exceptional service. He went the extra mile to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
We got a Mushroom slice and a Grandma slice. Crispy, cheesy, perfect! Both were to-die-for DELICIOUS. Service is pretty amazing too! I'm getting a pie next time! A+++
