Romero's consistently has a great selection of craft beers. The dog patio is a great addition if you have dogs or just want to see some dogs while sipping a beer. They have had a food truck every time I've been, if you need some food. I highly recommend you check it out!

Google
The dog run area has a cost, but is definitely worth it for the unique experience for you and your dog! The dog area is about 105ftx30ft and covered in gravel. Everyone here was super nice and respectful, plus all the dogs were friendly. Cherry on top was the excellent beer selection! We came in the winter, but I imagine the summer is even better.

Lisa Campbell

Google
Wonderful location and awesome beer selection! The staff, especially the owners, are so friendly and knowledgeable that I truly enjoyed my visit. The beer options were fantastic and the atmosphere was friendly and so much fun. The dog park is spacious and the pups were having the best time. I can’t wait to go back!

Google
THIS is the place. The best synergy I have ever seen of canines and brews. The environment is well-designed and very enjoyable. The service is courteous and interested to know all about your dog. On top of that, there is a stellar selection of microbrews. Romero’s has an incredible space, with options both inside and outside. The outdoor dog park is a great way for your dog to burn some energy and hang with friends.

Google
Amazing cider, beer and wine! Super dog friendly with an off-leash area out back!

Google
Best place on earth for a dog and beer lover. It's basically required that we bring our dog here every time before her bath. It's a super chill spot to bring your dog to socialize while drinking some of the best taps in Denver/Colorado/The United States of America/Earth/Our solar system/the universe maybe? I've been to awesome breweries with dog parks attached but they were awesome mostly because of their dog park, the beer could have been whatever as long as my dog was having a good time. But here you can get both! Also amazing food trucks! The trifecta meaning of life? Get those weedhart pizzas, they're delicious! I just wish I lived closer 😢

Evgeny Noi

Google
Gray place for a selection of beers from all over the States. I enjoyed the Vienna lager. The bartender was knowledgeable and guided me through their selection. Which was necessary, as there were no sample pours. They also save a few screens to watch sports, including Euro soccer Cup.

Amanda Roland

Google
What a fun experience! Great place to take the dogs and have some beers. There is an indoor area where dogs are not allowed, outdoor climate controlled patio where leashed dogs are allowed, and an outdoor patio where off leash dogs are allowed. They have a cool atmosphere and an extension beer selection. Seriously a really cool place you and your pup should check out ASAP. Only downside is they don't have a kitchen so order some food and bring it with or have something delivered.

Angie C.

Yelp
Never been here before, came for a birthday. This place is awesome! YOU GET TO BRING YOUR DOG!!! I mean come on ! It's a bar attached to a inclosed dog park. Our bartender was friendly and answered all of our questions. The bathrooms were clean. When we arrived they had just had an event and the theme was Jurassic Bark (I think it was called) they had fun cool decor ! They have a lot of beer choices and sodas. One of the best parts was the food truck we ordered wings DELICIOUS. Parking is good not the best but they do have street parking. We would definitely go there again. I mean you get to bring your best friend!

Sam H.

Yelp
Very fun atomosphere and extremely friendly people. My group came in with 5 dogs and we all had a lot of fun!

Cindy C.

Yelp
First time visiting this place and we can't be more thrilled with it! They have a great beer selection to start with & also have food trucks. The best part of the place is definitely the dog patio outside. It's a pretty decent size & pups are free to roam. We can't wait to go back!

Elly S.

Yelp
WHERE TO START I absolutely love everything about Romeros! I've been coming here basically since they opened with my golden retriever. The owners are so friendly along with all of the staff. Basically feels like you are heading to "your friend house" Beers are solid! Each food truck that comes through is amazing ESPECIALLY The Wagons grilled cheese! Highly recommend!!! Date nights with my pup are the best!

Ashley A.

Yelp
This place was so accommodating! I decided to throw my 2 year old Corgi's birthday party here and they were very helpful and flexible. Both the humans and the dogs had a blast! We will be back!!!!

Ashley W.

Yelp
Oh man, this place is THE BEST!!!!! If you love dogs and beer and/or one or the other, then Romero's is your spot. This place is basically a dog park you can drink at and the owners are super nice! They have an amazing beer list with lots of local breweries and if you're feeling indecisive about what you want, the bartenders are very helpful and always offer suggestions. Honestly, If I could live at this place, I would.

Trang L.

Yelp
TLDR: A great local place to bring your dog and enjoy some drinks. They also host events like wrestling and goat yoga. A wonderful dog bar. There's an outdoor dog park area for your dog to run around while you enjoy one of their many options for beer and cider. The bartenders, and owners, Maria and Lenny, are very hospitable and welcoming. There's also covered outdoor seating and an indoor space with a bar. They have a few snack options on their menu as well. Highly recommend!

J T.

Yelp
OMG. A BAR WITH A DOG PARK? Can I live here? because I should. :) I love bars and i love dogs, mix those two things together and you have one awesome place... which this is. I used to take my Max here, but Max passed away recently, so I took my other 2 pups. They made friends with other pups who were accompanying their human owners to the bar. It was a fun filled trip. Lots of beers on tap, I am not a beer drinker so I stuck with my kombucha. Lots of locals love coming here. I have only been here a handful of times but will definitely come more often.

Brandon S.

Yelp
Literally my favorite place! Beer, food trucks, and with my dogs. Even if dogs weren't allowed it would probably be my favorite bar any way. Best rotating taps and cans around, wine and cider for the non beer drinkers, and the staff is absolutely amazing!

Hannah H.

Yelp
Amazing concept, awful attitudes. I felt like we had annoyed the staff immediately at the front door. The uppity attitudes with two of the employees were enough to put a damper on the entire experience. Beers were good, but I just feel like they were slightly overpriced for the negative time. We'll give it one more go to see if we happen to get a better experience with the staff.

Allie J.

Yelp
Staff has horrendous attitudes, act like it's a privilege for you to be a paying customer of theirs. Dog park piece is cool but the staff rudeness made the entire experience uncomfortable and awkward. Would not recommend.

D W.

Yelp
6 stars. Awesome place. It's a true dog bar, they check tags and register your dogs and have a referee keeping them in check. Regulars are numerous and love the place and the owners. Great beers, clean, friendly, plenty of parking. A bit of a drive for us but we'll be back. Worth it.

Jace B.

Yelp
Went here with the whole gang.. kids, and dogs. We went in and sat down in the dog park area and they let us know that kids under 16 aren't allowed. SUPER friendly and accommodating and we moved to the outside area (not dog park) and allowed us to stay for a bit. Very accommodating but not kid friendly. Their kindness will bring us back with the pups and us adults soon! Definitely appreciate their accommodating attitude

Danielle J.

Yelp
I love this place! Our pup always has a great time here and the beer selection is out of this world. There is a dog fee but totally makes sense for how clean and safe they make the dog area. Love that he can play while we enjoy a beer. A little drive out from Denver but totally worth it! Great to watch broncos games there as well, they have great deals those days!

Jon W.

Yelp
Went in here for the first time today and clearly it will be my last. Reading previous reviews confirms that this isn't just me. Terrible staff attitude. Even met the owner "Benny" (lol) who clarified that he's much cooler than any of his customers (or maybe just me)s My sense is that this place can barely serve their regulars properly so they don't have the time for new people. Sad too cause the dogs were cool. I feel bad for the staff that has to answer to such a terrible owner. Best of luck, you need it

Fern S.

Yelp
Old Town Lafayette just gets better and better. I can't say enough about Romero's K9 Club & Tap House. Great space, great selection of craft beer, wine selections, and a welcoming and friendly staff (along with 4-legged hosts Frieda and Romero -- yes, Romero is a pup). This is a five-star neighborhood watering hole. I would be a customer even if I couldn't bring my best friend. But I can! And what differentiates Romero's K9 Club & Tap House from some dog-friendly breweries is that there is an off-leash area for qualifying pets as well as indoor on-the-leash areas that will be very appreciated as the weather gets colder. What a fabulous afternoon! And, as you probably already know if you have a canine best buddy, striking up new friendships couldn't be easier. I cannot wait to go back!!

Evan V.

Yelp
What a great bar/dog park. Very clean and unique. The bartenders are awesome and treat you like they've known you for 20 years. The beers are all unique and affordable. My dog has fun off leash as I drink a few beers. Can't get any better. I relax and my dog releases some energy.

Christopher D.

Yelp
This place is tough to drive by! Calm atmosphere with hipster tunes, plus dogs allowed. There's also neat dog décor. The beer list is vast and we always find something excellent. Maria and Lenny are very kind and always welcoming. The layout is large, and has numerous options with seating in and outside. We like to enjoy our beers in the partially covered/enclosed patio area! There's also a play area for dogs outside. The building was a drive in diner so there's good parking, plus a bike rack. They also have some fun card games to play and cans of beer to go. When we have friends in town we always take them here and it pleases. We love Romero's and it's our favorite spot in Lafayette to sip and chat. There's over two dozen local brews to choose from, plenty of seating options and a cool environment!

Lisa C.

Yelp
Excellent selection of beer! Indoor and outdoor seating available for people and pups. We really enjoyed the friendly, laid back atmosphere and interaction with the owners and staff. If you're undecided or unsure of a great beer to try, they will let you sample a few options and will gladly make recommendations. The outdoor dog play area is safe and has tables so you can sit out with your dogs or enjoy the adorable resident pups. Romero's had an awesome food truck today called Barbed Wire Reef with wild game burgers and seafood and they have different trucks throughout the week. This place has really brought new life to this corner and is an excellent addition to the surrounding area. I can't wait to come back and see whats on tap next! Highly recommended.

Truitt P.

Yelp
Their staff is really rude. the beer was good but honestly just buy a beer from somewhere else. I don't need to go somewhere special to bossed around as a paying customer. Also they have one menu at the front that's hard to read and they don't want you reading it because if congregation. So ordering is atrocious.

Eugene B.

Yelp
I went there for the first time last week, and plan to go back. One can socialize inside a dog-play area, which was very clean. Our waitress was also very friendly! First comers with dogs must fill out a form and provide proof vaccinations. There is also a dog fee to enter the play area. I had a very good time and so did my dog. Slight improvements could include a small water fountain for the dogs, and food choices. Otherwise, a great place to hung out with human and furry friends!

Dawn J.

Yelp
What a great find! A place to spend time with your four legged friends AND drink great beer? Count me in!!

Lauren M.

Yelp
After a dozen visits to Romero's, I figured it was time to write a review. This place is exactly what Lafayette needed and living within walking distance is pretty darn convenient. The concept is awesome: a great selection of delicious craft beer (including many local brews) and dogs. There's also wine and kombucha if beer isn't your jam. The bar area has seating at the bar and a few tables. A covered outside patio provides great seating for groups, and both areas are great options if you want to sit with your dog by your side. The outside "dog park" area has picnic tables to sit at a land plenty of room for doggies to run and play. And- you don't have to have a dog to attend (in fact, I have yet to bring my own dogs). The owners Maria and Lenny are young and hip and awesome and super friendly. They do a great job of keeping everything clean (and not smelling like dog pee)- which can't be easy. There are food trucks there every now and then, and you can bring your own food. They also have several menus for local food joints that deliver. Romero's has quickly become my favorite happy hour spot and is awesome year-round!

Deee P.

Yelp
The BEST tap house I've checked out in Colorado. Huge selection of local craft beers and ales from all the top breweries in the area. You can even bring your pups to hang while you drink! The staff is super friendly and helpful and let you sample as many beers as you like to make sure you're drinking something you enjoy. You can even bring your own food to eat. Can't recommend this place enough.

Tova S.

Yelp
Great location and I can bring my pup! The cider was right on spot and can't wait to get back to this hidden jewel.

Chris W.

Yelp
This is hands down the best beer bars in Lafayette....perhaps even the entire world! Maria & Lenny are fantastic dog loving owners, and carefully curate an awesome selection of craft beers from around the country as well as local Colorado gems!

SeeingElvis K.

Yelp
Boy, was I barking up the wrong tree for making the assumption that this place was essentially only for folks with dogs! A recent wooden-keg tapping of a (deliriously delicious) Bierstadt Keller Pils finally threw the gauntlet down and drew me out, and now I must make serious amends for time lost: the tap list is literally the best I have seen in years; something for everyone. Not often is Vermont brewing legend Sean Lawson's Sip of Sunshine seen in the West, but, moreover, there are many selections that are more sessionable and not hop-centric; far too many taplists are too cheeky with garish oddities rather than art-of-brewmaster staples these days. They serve wine, ciders, and hard seltzers as well. One of the owners took the time to introduce herself and chat for a moment, very classy. Her partner was also the epitome of hospitality. Lovely folks. So, if you do not have a dog but love great beer and friendly bartenders, do yourself a favor and pay a visit to Romero's. And, if you do have a dog, you're, well, golden.

Matthew M.

Yelp
Beer. I love beer! Dogs. I love dogs!!! What a great combination. The owners have created a great concept that a non-dog owner like myself loves. I still can't commit getting another pup, so I love to pet and play with other dogs. I guess I feel the same about children! First off, they have an amazing selection of beers. The day I was there they offered several Colorado beers as well as some great Florida beers that I miss dearly. Great service from the staff and a great bar area for chatting it up with others and the staff. The entire space is HUGE! The space is perfect for dogs. They have created a specific area that is great for dogs to enjoy the company of others while their owners enjoy a beer or two. They also have a disc golf basket for putting practice. Just don't bring your best discs. Those wonderful dogs love to chase after them :) I love this space and hope you and your canine friends do as much as I did.

Matthew P.

Yelp
This is the only place that I know of that combines a dog park with a bar. Wide selection of beers. They only have snacks but the pizza place in town delivers to the bar. The doggo and humans all had a good time.

Margot B.

Yelp
The best thing in Denver! Must come by and order a flight! Low key hipster spot with a vast selection. And an added bonus---USB charging stations everywhere and the funkiest music I've ever heard. The owners are super dope too! Locals who know good beer!!!

K S.

Yelp
Just moved to Denver and this is an amazing place if you love dogs! We brought our little 11 year old 9 pound yorkie poo to the outside patio and although he didn't run around like some of the larger dogs, he was right at home after being there for 10 minutes. In terms of dog hand shakes (butt sniff and Eskimo kiss) he gave and received plenty. It is like watching your kids play at the playground but you get to drink booze! Highly recommended!

Chris B.

Yelp
This is a great place to have a craft beer (or two) while letting your dog run off leash and play with other dogs.

S. R.

Yelp
I love Romero's! Lenny and Maria are great hosts and are always welcoming! Even though I'm not much of a beer drinker, I know I can always find something to enjoy. Our little turtle, Nitro, is always welcome and he enjoys sitting in his 'mobile home' and watching the dogs play in the outdoor area.

Tai H.

Yelp
This place was cool. Only if you're a dog lover. You can bring your own food in, they do sell snacks but they're not snacks that are cooked in a kitchen. He brought her dog and super friendly staff great beers. No ice, I guess it's against the health regulations if you're going to have a dog there. Cool place to hang out with your K9.

Tyler M.

Yelp
I am so glad that they are still open during COVID. Me, my bf and pup and I love coming here. The most friendly staff who are always loving on my pup. Tver large selection of beer to choose from. Amazing food trucks all the time. The grilled cheeses are too die for!! Beer cheese and pretzels just make your mouth water non stop. If you haven't checked this place out, I'd highly recommend it! We have meet so many awesome dog here and their owners are pretty cool too I guess haha

Carrie B.

Yelp
This place is amazing! Great beer selection, and the people who run the place are so welcoming and kind. We had such a great time (especially our pup!). Will definitely be returning.

Cody P.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! Amazing selection of beers and cider to enjoy while your dog plays in the large outdoor dog park. The owners and staff are super friendly. We will back again and again.

S B.

Yelp
We are Beer snobs and just moved to Colorado a year ago. After settling in Lafayette and searching for "our spot" for several months we were lucky and ecstatic to finally find Romero's. We go mostly for the incredible beer selection. Seriously the best I've encountered in Colorado. The ambiance is pleasant and comfortable. The owners are very nice. So, excellent beer, dogs and nice people! Gotta love it!

Samantha D.

Yelp
Best bar ever!!! Always have great beer on tap & they show lots of love to the patrons & furry counterparts. Lenny & Maria (owners) are awesome as well as their beertenders. If you love dogs, beer & a fun & relaxed atmosphere, this is the place to go!

Honst G.

Yelp
Great people, great beer selection. I know it's quick but I love this bar. Coming soon a food truck. Yes they will have jalapeño grilled cheese sammiches.

Joann W.

Yelp
No kids under 16 allowed. I wish this information was more accessible. It's an unusual rule and would have saved us some time and gas.

Jordan C.

Yelp
Combining a dog park with a craft beer bar at a previous Sonic is pretty darn cool. A cool place to hangout, Benji and I plan on spending lots of time here. The staff are super friendly!!

Andrea N.

Yelp
We love Romero's! We bring our dog here often and he loves playing with the other dogs. They have leash rules for a reason and most people abide by them which makes for safe play off-leash. Beer and locale are great. Absolutely adore the owners!

Jeremy S.

Yelp
We went to Romero's on opening night (8/12/16) with our dog, Maddie, a golden doodle. Great new addition to Lafayette, and as my wife says an incredible remodel and repurposing of what has been a long string of failing fast-food restaurants (Snarfburger, Sonic, some other place sorta like Sonic...). It's a dog-enthusiast bar/play-place. You certainly can bring your dog and have it sit on a leash by the base of your barstool while you basically ignore it and it gains you smile you wouldn't otherwise deserve. There are an increasing number of bars that are 'dog-friendly' that way, but this goes beyond that. It also has substantial outdoor play-and-mingle places for dogs (and people, FYI)--two separate places separated by dog size. Haven't you always wanted your local dog park to have 30 local microbrews on tap? Opening night had a reasonable turnout even though it was a 'soft-opening' of sorts, and upwards of 20 dogs. (If you're afraid that you'll be continually humped by nasty dogs, don't worry about it. I'm going to posit that probably won't happen, and it's a sizable space.) Small children not allowed (lawyers and such: I mean, maybe if your small child is a lawyer, she can make a case...). You have to register your dog (for $5) and sign a waiver, each of which is perfectly reasonable. We'll be back!

Kealy H.

Yelp
Love this new neighborhood bar. The beer selection is good, they always have the Broncos game on, and the dog park is super fun for our pups. Dogs are also welcome inside and on the patio - each table has a carabiner to hook leashes to. No food, but often food trucks and several restaurants in the area will deliver. The owners are really friendly and welcoming. We love this place!

Laura D.

Yelp
We love this place. I was never a big beer drinker. I usually have a mixed drink or wine. They have some beer though that seems different, almost like you are having a mixed drink. I also really like the blueberry lavender cider they have sometimes. Maria and Lenny are really nice and have great service skills. And of course the dogs are fun! Our dog is not a dog park/ play yard type dog. He is too pushy and gets too excited in a big group. We do bring him on leash when it's not too busy. They do stuff for rescues and have other interesting activities there too. The crowd is friendly and everyone gets along. I personally find some places boring but Romero's is not boring. It's fun. They even had a fun Halloween Party .

Chris E.

Yelp
Been to Romero's about 10 times now and have never had a bad experience. The owners Maria and Lenny are amazing and treat you like family. They have a great balance of attentiveness as well as being conversational. Romero's has a homey feel with a beautiful wooden bar soft lighting and music at just the right volume. It's one of the few places where I can actually relax and have amazing beer at the same time. Beer list is well curated with a good balance of styles both local, U.S. and global offerings. I have many great local choices in Lafayette but Romero's is a tick above.

Connor T.

Yelp
My wife and I tried to come here with our 5 month old son and our corgi on Saturday May 1st around 5:30. When we got there we were reading the rules posted outside for the dog section a young lady who worked there came up to us and told us they were 16 and up only. No introduction, no welcome, nothing. She walked right up to us and made us feel very unwelcome. We must have looked confused because she proceeded to tell us their insurance was very strict about running an establishment that allowed alcohol and dogs. At this point we were under the impression they had an age limit due to them serving alcohol. I asked if this applied to infants and she responded yes. I responded "that's really weird" because I had been to breweries all over the place and they allowed children and babies so long as they were with their parents. She then said with a very rude and condescending tone "uh actually it's not weird, it would be bad if a dog were to bite a kid and even worse if they were to bite a baby". We just stood their kind of shocked for a moment at the sudden and uncalled for sharpness and rudeness of her response to us while she stood there staring at us. Then we left. I am not mad about the age limit though it wasn't easy to find on their website, which we checked before coming. I get it, insurance has requirements and if you want to run a business you must meet those requirements. I'm upset about the manner in which we were treated within 2 minutes of arriving there. I'm not the kind of guy to be petty and write a bad review over something small but this was not a nice experience. I hope in the future others are not treated as we were.

Molly M.

Yelp
We love taking our dogs with us where ever we go. We read about this place and decided to drive up from Denver around 5pm. When we got there, there were 4 people and they didn't have dogs. The bartender was super nice and the beer was good. We stuck around for about and hour to see if more dogs would show up and then decided to leave. We ended up paying about 31$ for two beers and a soda!! We soon found out we were charged a dog park fee of 8$. I really wanted to love this place, but I left with a bad taste in my mouth. A park fee?! For our dogs who had no one to play with for one hour, after we purchased two beers and a soda? Talk about a slap in the face.

Brad E.

Yelp
This place is incredible. The beer selection alone is good enough that this place will be a serious destination for people with or without kids, and with or without dogs. These folks REALLY know what they're doing - we talked with Maria (Co-Founder) for quite a while and they are passionate about both their craft and being a good neighbor. Here are a few things we noticed IMMEDIATELY (re: the space and food since I'm sure many will rave about the dog-friendly part of it): 1) It's in a former Sonic's fast food restaurant, and 2 other businesses have been in there since then. They were terrible, and did very little to invest in the space itself. Romero's learned from that, and kept little more than the shell of the building. Right as you walk into the bar/taproom area, you'll be shocked how warm, welcoming and SMART their space is. The outdoor patio is also brilliant, allowing people to stand in either the leashed dog patio or the off-leash dog play area and still hang out (seriously, brilliant). 2) The food truck was OUTSTANDING. The owners have lots of connections in Denver, and they food truck (Smoke) came all the way up to Lafayette for their opening. It was some of the best BBQ I've had in Colorado, hands-down. 3) The customer service was top-notch. Even past our own experience, we saw employees instantly greet guests, explain the vision for their business, and offer to walk them through registering their dogs, ordering beer, etc. Maria spent at least 20-30 minutes just hanging out and talking to my wife and I, and brought us a few samples of the sours they were featuring (they had FIVE!). 4) Did I mention the beer? I've never even SEEN Pipeworks in Colorado, nevermind it be on TAP. They had a perfect (and I don't use that word lightly) selection of late summer beers, with a few much more Fall seasonal ales that I look forward to seeing more of! 5) In addition to beer, they had a Pino Grigio, a cold brew coffee (!!!) and a tonic ALL ON TAP. Prices are VERY reasonable, especially considering the quality of the stuff they were serving. My wife and I will be back (frequently) for sure!
