Rome’s Kitchen

I've been wanting to try Rome's kitchen for a while now seeing his posts on Instagram. He does pop ups in certain locations during the week. Make sure to follow his Instagram to stay updated for his popup locations. Anyways I stopped by his popup for lunch today and boy it did not miss everything was so tasty and flavor full. I ended up grabbing the combo #2 which was ribs and links combo, side of Mac and cheese and green beans, bread roll. Second plate was combo #3 and that was the Italian garlic salmon Alfredo served with greens and bread roll as well. First off the ribs and links were great dry rub on ribs was tasty and BBQ sauce was sweet and tangy. Mac n cheese oooey gooey hella good. I'm not a greens person but the green beans were great. Soft not mushy but just right consistency. Now the garlic salmon Alfredo was something else omg buttery garlicky cheesey. salmon seasoned and cooked well very moist pasta noodles were awesome. A bit on the pricey side for lunch but it is definitely worth it. Huge portions too I couldn't finish my plate!! I will definitely keep up with his posts to the next pop-up to try something new because if these two plates were this tasty I can't wait to see what else Rome's Kitchen has to offer. Keep up the great work!! 3-26-25 Came out to Romes Kitchen to try his supreme smoked chicken loaded nachos. They were hella good, the chicken was tender and moist and had a great smoky flavor. Chips were regular corn tortilla chips and Doritos nacho cheese chips I've never had nachos with Doritos before. I don't think I'll eat nachos any other way going forward. The bowl was a great portion I had trouble trying to finish my plate. Once again Rome's Kitchen outdid themselves and blew me away with the flavors of this dish. I look forward to trying more of Romes food on the next pop up event.

Wow I don't think I've been satisfied with dining out since Rome's Kitchen. His BBQ Hot Link Sandwich I ordered was delicious and one of a kind. Definitely will be returning and highly recommend everyone to give it a try. Rome Kitchen's made me feel like I was in my own mothers kitchen with his hospitality, cooking skills, and service he provided.

OMG, the seasoning on the fried fish was so good!! I ate up all of the cabbage because it was full of flavor. And the candied yams were just perfect. These guys know what they're doing! They're in a food truck in the parking lot of the Hunter's Point Speakeasy.

Rome is one of the hardest working people from San Francisco you have to tap in if your looking for a home away from home cooked meal from a juicy briskets that pull apart with ease to the cheesiest Mac and cheese you have ever tasted he also has other things but from what I experienced with the brisket it's the real deal - Trunkboy Flo Verified

I finally got to try Rome's food and it was so delicious my mom liked it my brother liked it my daughter liked it. The food was made with fresh ingredients. Season properly. This young man has a wonderful outlook on life very courteous polite their area was clean. Organized also has the best customer service my whole experience was a great one I will be going back. And he's only there on Fridays y'all need to look him up you will not be disappointed. Also portions are big. Thoroughly enjoyed it the whole experience.

The food was nasty. The service sucked. As soon as I got there the cook was smoking weed outside his food truck. When I ordered my food he just passed his blunt and started making and serving food without washing his hand or glove.

We showed up to Rome's at 6:30pm at Speakeasy in HP, and he was sold out of food after opening at 3:30pm. He gave us a fat box of fried fish for free, and told us to see him next time. Food was insanely good and he hooked us up fat...and for free. He stands by his food and is super chill...I'm sure he was trying to get home but he hung out and talked to us and laced us up.

Yum!!! Wow, I thought this gumbo was full of flavor! It had a combo of beef, shrimp, crab, salmon and I am likely missing something but wow it was so good! They even kindly added their red velvet cake for free so I could try it! Check this place out, it was delicious and complimented the comedy show at speakeasy I went to. You could bring the food inside to have with a beer.

Do yourself a huge favor and get the chef's special, fried chicken Alfredo. It is ridiculously good and walks the tightrope of being comforting/familiar and novel. The crew and owners are talented and passionate. 5/5 stars

Awesome spot. Came to the San Francisco Speakeasy tonight and was greeted by an awesome Italian/soul food truck. What a great crew working it. We ordered the chicken po boy with fries and it was absolutely delicious. The menu is great and I love the Italian items on the menu. Highly recommend. Awesome energy from staff and delicious food. The food truck is kind of tucked away but there is a big line out there and for good reason! I forgot to take a picture due to the fact that it smelled and looked so good we ate it so fast! Very chill atmosphere. Casual. Good music.

WOW. Had the privilege of trying some of Rome's Italian Soul Food and I can't believe what I've been missing out on. You gotta try the Chef's Special: Fried Chicken Alfredo and the Deep Fried Ribs. The owner and chef, Rome, is a real down to earth and personable dude who will make you feel like you're at home. A nice breeze blowing in from the Bay makes this the perfect summer spot.

The Garlic Mac and cheese was delicious. The dumpling capital chicken with sweet candied potatoes was delicious. Will definitely come back.

The combo platter was delicious, and the mac and cheese is not to be missed! It's unlike any other version I've ever had, and the best by far.

Wasn't expecting to get food, I saw a sign stating there was a market event held at the upper plaza, across the south driveway. There were two ladies and a man studying the menu and asking questions when I arrived. They eventually placed an order after some discussion and found a table about twenty feet away with chairs. When I reached the table, I placed an order for two BBQ ribs, one with creamy asparagus and the other mac n cheese (https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=4dY6beHCA2xEXoHaF_SQ0w&userid=saJuyv784apZzH--psHZ3Q), saving the asparagus one for my friend that I'd see about thirty minutes later. I brought my plate home and had it for lunch about three hours later. The ribs were still warm unlike the mac n cheese which was already dry and on lukewarm. Starting with the ribs, I must say, they were the best that I've had in a long while especially since they were generous with the addictingly good sauce... to the point that I used my index finger to finish every last drop. The ribs were tender and soft with a slight bite which is how I generally like them; sorry, but my teeth are still good enough not to require fall-off-the-bone soft meats yet. The mac n cheese flavor is on the mild side and I liked that it was not overly salty. The gentleman who took my order and then walked to the grill/smoker to put my orders together told me that they also have a food truck. This way, I can do a little homework in finding out how to have those ribs again or try their fried wings that were offered. So I happened to come across this truck at an event with tons of other food trucks there. I first thought they were out of food because the menu wasn't easy to spot and it was later in the day. Until one of the workers offered me a sample of the fish. The truck only had available fish, fries and Mac and cheese. When I tried that fired fish!!!! It was by far the best I've ever had. Normally I use hot daisy or lemon on my fish but bay bay this fish needed nothing! I don't know what they breaded it in or the seasoning they used but I bought 2 plates and when I got home wished I would have bought a third. Service was awesome and the food was outstanding. I'll definitely be back and would highly recommend. Thank me later!

Hella good BBQ - came through to Candlestick and the pasta, links, and chicken were all amazing.

BBQ is to die for! Candied yams are especially delicious. Would absolutely recommend.

Stopped in at Speakeasy, grabbed some delicious garlic Mac and cheese, was very tasty, proprietor was friendly and professional, I took a look in the back of the truck, was very clean. I'll for sure return.

Alright this place is the Sh*t. Randomly stopped by at their ferry building pop up and my god am I happy that I did. Got the BBQ chicken with the Mac and Cheese. Probably the best BBQ and the best Mac and cheese in the city. Will be stopping by every time it's at the ferry building.

I read about Rome's Kitchen on SFGate during the Bay Area's Black Restaurant Week. I've been yearning for a good soul food and so I went to their pop-up event (Fridays only, starts at 3 pm) at Speakeasy location (on Evans Ave., SF). I ordered the deep fried fish and bbq links plates... they are so good! Rome did not disappoint... their Italian soul food is so delish! As a first time customer, catering business owner Rome Rogers comp me a sliced of lemon cake. Super Nice!

Romes kitchen is slamming !!! I love the fact that Rome and his crew gives you your moneys worth first of all. After I get my plate , I feel like I've been taking care of . The honey sticky wings are so fire and don't get me started with the kitchen juice and the peach cobbler !!! You can tell he cooked with love . On a nice Wednesday evening I'm enjoying this delicious food prepared by Rome and his crew . Thank you so much Romes kitchen !!! You guys are spectacular !!! And I'll definitely be back soon!!!

Had them cater our family gathering last saturday, bruch, lunch and dinner. the food was well prepared and very tasty. we had a variety of dishes from omelets, to sliders to barbeque and it was all great. would defiantly use them again, hate they are to far for a almost everyday thang!

SO GOOD!!! Tried them at the speakeasy in SF. Their fried salmon and white fish is some of the most delicious I've ever tasted. The fish was cooked perfectly and was extremely succulent and juicy

You want some good food we'll this the place right here, food was amazing the service was great, I got the steak fry's and the chicken hoagie, it was to die for. I absolutely loved them both.

Tried their fried seafood and it was amazing. Perfectly friend and seasoned. 10/10, love this joint!!
