First visit and the experience was amazing in several different ways. The extensive exhibits on the life of the president and the political moments during his terms in office are thorough and well documented. Since it is his presidential library, there are very few references to negative decisions made during his years in office including long term effects of economic decisions. The aircraft exhibits for Air Force One are stunning and the tour of the aircraft is excellent, although I found the design of that portion of the exhibit space to be confusing and difficult to find the exit path from the bottom level of the aircraft exhibits.

I am glad I bought the year long pass & I recommend it to anyone that can make the visit twice or that plans a visit to any of the other Presidential libraries. My first trip here was mostly visiting their temporary exhibit but I plan to make another trip this month. I love how the exhibits are set up in different rooms and it is like walking through a timeliness of Reagans life. Getting the opportunity to walk onto Airforce One was a highlight of this trip. Make sure your phone is charged if you take a lot of pictures. 😀

Been here twice. Neat that they have the air force one plane and helicopter in the museum. Lots of facts about the presidency under Ronald Reagan. Special exhibits that get changed out regularly. Once was an exhibit on the Dead Sea scrolls (recently) and last year on “Star Wars”. Both very interesting. Would highly recommend for museum and history buffs and nerds! Bring your own food. Kind of not a lot of choice and over priced food inside. They have a complimentary shuttle that can shuttle you from parking area to the front door. Also, if you pay a little more, you can go back to any or the presidential libraries for up to one year.

I recently had a rare and wonderful opportunity to visit this inspiring and educational site with two good friends What an incredible place! The library is tucked back into the hills of Simi Valley with breathtaking views of beautiful Eastern Ventura County. Upon entering the premises of the Ronald Reagan Library, I had the special opportunity to view the Scrolls. Very informative and educational . The docents and the staff at the Library did an incredible job of making me feel welcomed. The Library is also a tribute to a wonderful and great human being, Ronald Reagan. There is a large gift shop as well as a cafeteria that has a pretty good selection of burgers, pizzas and salad. I had a delicious hamburger outside and had the wonderful opportunity to dine outside overlooking the hills of Eastern Ventura County. If you ever have a chance to visit the Ronald Reagan Library, please do, you won’t regret it.

Google
What an amazing experience! We came specifically for the Deas Sea Scroll exhibit while it was here. And it did not disappoint. But for that matter the all of the exhibits throughout the facility we're great. Getting to walk through the Air Force 1 display was pretty cool. I would absolutely recommend a visit!

Went to our 4th exhibit at the Library. Dead Sea Scrolls was the featured subject. Very cool & ancient stuff. We enjoyed it thoroughly. Our previous exhibits were FBI, NASCAR & Harley-Davidson. The next one we'll see is the Cowboys!

I lived in Los Angeles for 12 years before moving to San Diego 3 years ago, but it was the first time I visited this beautiful museum. Most of people working here are very hospitable. It's a very beautiful place to visit. Especially, it's the only library that displays the real Air Force One and Marine One.

Google
Such a beautiful library with great exhibits (Dead Sea Scrolls now through beginning of Sept 2025)! Amazing scenery! My favorite is the Oval Office and Air Force One. Extremely friendly and helpful staff and docents as well! There’s a reason why this is the most visited presidential library - a real must-see!!!!

Yelp
This was surprisingly one of the best museum experiences I've had in America. The exhibits are engaging and accessible to everyone, regardless of political affiliation. In fact, it felt just as impressive as the Smithsonian in D.C., with an incredible amount of authentic American history on display for the public. While the museum does gloss over--or at times completely avoid--some of Reagan's most controversial moments (such as the AIDS epidemic), it still carries enough historical weight to rightfully be considered one of the most important historical institutions in the country.

Yelp
5 stars for the beautiful museum! Minus 3 stars for the security guard was rude to us during our visit when we didn't do anything wrong.

Yelp
The Reagan Presidential Library isn't just a library--it's America's ultimate mash-up of history, Hollywood, and a Costco-sized stash of jelly beans. Perched on a hill in Simi Valley with views so good you'll wonder why every president doesn't retire here, this place is part museum, part shrine, and part theme park for political junkies. Reagan himself used to show up after his presidency--just hanging out, shaking hands, meeting kids like the world's most wholesome neighborhood grandpa. And now he rests here, buried on the grounds, facing west toward the Pacific. Fitting, really--The Gipper always knew about good stage direction. Inside, you've got exhibits that flex harder than any other presidential library: walk through Air Force One (yes, the real one), climb into the presidential helicopter, stand on debate stages that once decided the future of the free world. It's a place where Cold War history, Hollywood charm, and patriotic merchandising all collide under one roof. The café? Surprisingly awesome. Not the sad, shrink-wrapped sandwich situation most museums settle for. You can actually enjoy a decent meal while gazing out over California like you're about to deliver your own State of the Union. And then--there are the jelly beans. Reagan loved them. They're everywhere. Bowls, displays, gift shop bags. It's like Willy Wonka ran for office and won the Cold War. Humor is in the little things: the audacity of parking a Boeing 707 inside a building, the fact that you can buy Reagan socks and jelly beans in the same transaction, and the surreal joy of standing in front of exhibits that prove once again--America can be ridiculous and majestic at the same time. Come for Air Force One, stay for the jelly beans--and leave knowing this is the only library where the host once looked you in the eye and said, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall."

Yelp
Never been to a Presidential Library and Museum and came here because of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Overall, this is a nice museum to visit especially if you live through the Reagan years and recall some of this years. Staff and docents were nice and the location has great views. Check out my pics. Maybe the Nixon Library will be next?

Yelp
Hello everyone! I'd like to share my impressions of my visit to the Ronald Reagan Museum, the 40th President of the United States. First of all, I'm truly honored to visit such a historic site, and I'm grateful for the opportunity. I recommend spending a few hours there, immersing yourself in the history and seeing items that belonged to the president. There's also a shop inside where you can find many interesting and useful items. Thank you to all the organizers.

Yelp
Another tough day on the job, my drive took me and 18 folks on an Adventure to the Regan Library. Not too busy for a Wednesday, ample parking for my shuttle bus. This is an expansive estate to walk and learn about this man. The tour leader bought me a ticket to the show, cool thank you. I suggest you check out the web page for more details, I don't like to reveal the details. The Dead Sea Scroll (8 of them) are on display and there was a line to do the walk through. I went the Presidential route with virtually no obstructions. Certainly the Air Force One was my main objective and I was pleased with what I saw and the experience of this venue. Typical museum, see the sights and see what you may like as you're dumped out in the gift shop. There is an upscale snack/deli cafe a little something for everyone. Slice of pizza $9, my Ice Cream Drumstick was $5. Captive audience what would you expect, right. The experience is what counts, some aircraft surround the main buildings, a piece of the Berlin wall ("tear down that wall") was Reagans' quote I believe. My step father was a big Reagan supporter he would have loved this place but for young children it's a day out with grandpa not a playground. Been there, seen that for me not I be back unless the other attraction was fantastic. I didn't bother with the T-shirt today. But cone by it's worth a visit. foodguy-martin

Yelp
One of the most important discoveries of the 20th Century was the Dead Sea Scrolls. Also known as the Qumran Cave Scrolls, discovered in the Qumran Caves in the West Bank on the northern shore of the Dead Sea. Some 15,000 scrolls and scroll fragments were recovered over a period of 10 years, 1946-1956. Dating as far back as the 3rd century BCE to the 1st century CE. Discoveries of extreme importance to both Jewish and Christian scholars. We; my wife, son and myself, visited the Reagan Library on this past Monday 4-21-2025. Basically to not only see the scrolls but especially the limited time Ten Commandments scrolls, which were only there for 2 weeks. Their last day was on April 24th. My second time visiting here, the first was to take in the Leonardo Di Vinci Exhibit. And I must admit, that former exhibit was so much better organized. This current exhibition was utter backed up chaos! Poorly planned out, the line rivaled about anything you'd find at Disneyland! But a bit understandable, it was the day after Easter. So numerous out of towners were taking advantage while in the area. The vast majority here for the scrolls. And according to every library worker we spoke with, the largest crowds they had ever seen. Worth a visit if you enjoy history and are a lover of the Bible. But still it was poorly routed and not suited for such an influx of visitors during busy holiday seasons IMO. But a lifelong must see for me. So I give our overall experience 3 stars. The Dead Sea Scrolls will be here until September 2, 2025. And no, you won't be seeing all 15,000 scrolls. See the Library's website for more info.

Yelp
The Regan Library is a good experience and a whole day's visit. There are some parking lots, but they fill up. There is additional street parking with designated shuttle stop areas marked on the curb where the shuttles will pick you up and drop you off to and from the library up the hill. Signs say you are not supposed to walk to the library from the street parking. At the entrance there is a beautiful courtyard and beyond that the ticket area. It does not seem like you normally need a reservation. Prices will vary over time so check their website for pricing. There may be an additional exhibit in addition to the regular library on your visit. The additional visit may have an additional charge. The Regan exhibit has at least three parts: his pre-political acting and personal life, political life, and Air Force and marine force one exhibits. At the beginning of the tour there is an AI speech by Regan that is pretty well done. There are at least two eating areas in the museum and a gift shop. The docents are pretty nice and informative. A few parts of the exhibit have limited access or size capacity and there are lines. Some of the lines are clearly marked and others are not. People can be rude/annoyed if u step in front of them in a line you did not know existed. Overall, this was a wonderful experience and is probably even worth a second visit since there is so much to see and take in for one day.

Yelp
The Dead Sea Scroll exhibit was remarkable.. a once in a lifetime experience. I'm so glad we went. Our out of town guests also enjoyed the opportunity to see President Reagan's legacy ..so well kept and carefully presented. Thank you!

Yelp
Came to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. The grounds of the library are pretty amazing. The people who work there were all very friendly. The part of the library that is about President Reagan stays the same but there are other exhibits that change periodically. You can also see and go inside of an older version of Air Force One and Marine One which is what the president at the time used for travel. Parking- There is a fairly large parking lot at the top of the hill where the library is located and my understanding is that there is additional parking elsewhere but I was fortunate and did not have to find out. I was lucky enough to go during the week and purchased my ticket when I arrived but I would highly recommend that if you are coming on the weekend that your purchase your ticket ahead of time as they are often sold out. Dining- If you go during the week the Gipper's Bar and Bistro is the only choice. Food was good and I would recommend the following items- Reuben Sandwich- My favorite and highly recommended. BB Pulled Pork Sandwich- Very good and recommended. Onions Rings- Very good, crispy and highly recommended.

Yelp
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library I didn't know what to expect. All I knew there's a timed entry for the Special exhibit. I bought my ticket on the day of before I left home. You can buy once you arrive. The library is a remarkable blend of American history, stunning architecture, and immersive exhibits--all set against the scenic hills of Simi Valley. Whether you're a history buff, a curious traveler, or just looking for a meaningful day trip, this library offers an experience that's both educational and inspiring. Navigating around the museum is easy. It's well planned out so you don't miss anything. The museum uses volunteers some are versed with knowledge and willing to share. These volunteers guide you through the journey of discovery through the library. Occasionally I had to wait in line at the special exhibit. I was able to jump ahead occasionally. One of the current standout features is the special exhibit on the Dead Sea Scrolls. Thoughtfully curated, the exhibit offers an extraordinary look into ancient history, featuring real fragments of the Scrolls alongside detailed background on their discovery, preservation, and meaning. The exhibit also provides context with artifacts from the time of the Second Temple and life in ancient Israel, offering a powerful contrast to the modern American history that fills the rest of the library. The highlight of any visit, however, is the chance to walk through two decommissioned United States aircraft--including the actual Air Force One and Marine One that served President Reagan and several of his predecessors. It's a surreal experience to step inside the aircraft that once transported world leaders and was the backdrop for pivotal moments in U.S. diplomacy. Visitors also get access to the presidential motorcade vehicles and Marine One, adding to the immersive presidential transport experience. The museum's layout flows smoothly from Reagan's early life and Hollywood career to his governorship and presidency, culminating in an impactful display of his post-presidency legacy. Don't forget to walk around the outside. There's a bronze statue and a few other military equipment. Ending the visit by seeing the outdoor memorial site and sweeping views are serene and reflective--an appropriate end to the visit. In short, the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is far more than just a library--it's a journey through American history, global influence, and leadership. The Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit adds a rare cultural dimension that makes it especially worth visiting right now. Allow at least 4-5 hours to take it all in--and don't skip the aircraft hangar. It's truly unforgettable.

Yelp
Always a pleasure when visiting RR Presidential Library. I particularly enjoyed the highlight of the Dead Sea Scrolls. I like visiting on weekdays when it's less crowded and parking available. Organized with ample staff that are pleasant and ready to help. Their Cafe upstairs serving up made to order sandwiches etc was surprisingly good. You can definitely take your time walking through here and enjoy lunch in between.

Yelp
I've been here multiple times with family and friends and each visit has been fascinating. This library is beautiful, inside and out. Even the drive up the hill is nice. Once you reach the main library entrance, there is staff at every corner to greet, guide, answer questions and their knowledge of museum is extraordinary. Sometimes staff share inside stories about particular events/displays that the public wouldn't had known about, which makes it all the more interesting. You can walk this library at your own pace and really enjoy the experience and history of it all. They also offer audio headphones at an additional price, which adds to the experience of viewing each section of the library. There is a lot to see and learn; from Ronald Reagans career in office to experiencing a walk inside Air Force One. Expect to spend about 3 hours or more touring and exploring the grounds. There is a photo op waiting at every corner too- especially outside on the grounds. The hillside views are simply stunning! The library has a food court inside along with tables. You also have the option to sit outside, the panoramic view is an added bonus. When planning a trip, I recommend purchasing tickets (audio headphones are optional) online. A Date/Time is required at time of purchase. If you're doing an exhibit, I definitely recommend selecting a time in the early morning/afternoon, Weekends can get pretty crowded. Stopping by the store is also a must before you leave, you'll pass this area at the end of your tour. I would also suggest a light sweater/jacket if you're there till closing, It gets chilly on the hill. This library is family friendly, the energy here is peaceful and comfortable. It's over an hour drive for me but so worth. And, Parking is always free! With all the above being said, Have a great time!

Yelp
Posting this for others travelling with elderly parents. Time in line with prepurchase online tickets on a slow Monday morning; 1:15 hours Time at exhibit; 20 minutes Whomever designed this Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit needs to find another career. Timed entries are ignored and not used as per the website because of the exhibit's horrible layout. This would make an excellent academic case study on what not to do. I counted over 100 people in the prepurchase online ticket line. Zero people in the line to buy tix onsite so you basically jump ahead of us suckers holding timed tix if you buy your tix onsite. You are standing in line just to be sold add-ons. That's it. You wait for a hundred people just to walk up to the desk and say yes/no to an additional audio tour. Then another line so an elderly security guard can fumble through your purse. Then, it's a REALLY long line for nearly 30 minutes so you wait for parties to be taken in one by one for a photo which you can buy later. Then, it's exactly 4 minutes in an alcove looking at unrelated Israel treasures. Then, you move to another room to look at ancient synagogue treasures for more minutes. Then, it's another room where you stand for 8 minutes watching a film explaining how the scrolls were found. Interesting film but with no place to sit, elderly patrons were leaning on walls and displays. At this point, it was close to 50 mins of standing. At last! You enter! It's the Jesus boat. Then you go down the stairs and around more filler display to finally see 6 "scrolls" plus the 10 commandments scroll. To quote the security guard I first asked on where to go: "no one cares about the times so just line up " I wish I had known this info so my mom could have taken her walker with the builtin seat.

Yelp
Our large group of 13 drove up from Irvine, CA on a Saturday to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. To say we had a wonderful time is an understatement! The lines were manageable and the museum was not crowded at all when we arrived around 10am. The property is beautiful, sitting atop a hill with gorgeous views all around and a gentle breeze that kept our whole crew comfortable and wanting a nap whenever we were outside. The food at the Gipper's Bar + Bistro was fresh and delicious. The museum itself is so rich in history and nostalgia. The DSS exhibit was impressingly extensive and the Air Force One and Marine One exhibits where you could walk through each aircraft were fascinating. It was like going back in time and reliving simpler days. We spent 6 hours there and enjoyed every minute. As we meandered through the halls and learned about pivotal moments that took place during Reagan's presidency, it became clear that he was a great servant and lover of the United States, an overall gracious and caring human being, and a president that is sorely missed today. I wish I lived closer so I could visit more often.

Yelp
It's a massive biggest presidential library I had ever been too (so far). It's a long drive from LB to simi valley and you park your car along the street and walk up to the library up on the hill over look the valley. Great during sun set. It's so big that they do have his presidential airplane, helicopter, limousine all in one place plus others. Truly impressive. Also great to learn about his life Hollywood and transited to politic. They do have other displace events there but the garden is just beautifully breathtaking. Both Ronald & Nancy are buried here in the garden too.

Yelp
What an amazing experience if you're in CA and get the opportunity Visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library is a must! We just happened to get lucky to have the opportunity to see the Dead Sea Scroll exhibition on display there. The highlight though was to learn and relive some of the events surrounding the Life of Ronald & Nancy Reagan and his presidency. Seeing Air Force 1 and Marine one and actually being able to walk through was an experience in itself.

Yelp
This is my third presidential library I have visited, and they were all fantastic. This one is exceptional. We don't know a president personally, but this library gives you a glimpse into President Reagan's life. You might agree with every decision he made but what I found is that he was a good human being. The library leads you through his life from his birth to his death. I found it fascinating. There are areas where you can watch videos but most of the museum has photos and reading pieces. I was amazed by Air Force One and the work it took to install it at the museum. You can walk though it as well as the helicopter the president was transported in. Museum and restrooms are very clean. I enjoyed the food although it was expensive. Bought a few souvenirs in their well inventoried shop. A local high school band was playing in the courtyard, and I enjoyed listening to them. Oh, and the Dead Sea Scroll exhibit was at the library on the day I visited, and I found it fascinating.

Yelp
Learned something important if you want to see all of the exhibits. Buy your tickets online! Get there early to get a spot in the parking lot otherwise you have to park on the hill going to the museum. They do have a shuttle bus. This is the 3rd Presidential library I've been to. They are full of history, gifts, pictures, before during and after Reagan's presidency. It sits atop a hill over looking Simi Valley. We were able to walk through Air Force and Marine One. They take pictures that you do not have to purchase but you get an e-copy. We didn't realize both the President and Nancy were buried there. We learned a lot. Look forward to visiting others across the US. PS it's cheaper to become a member and you get in free at any other library for a year and if you're a teacher you also get a discount.

Yelp
Really cool that we got to see the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit for the short amount of time it's on display before it needs to go back inside a vault for 5 years

Yelp
Had a wonderful time visiting the Reagan Library. Set in the beautiful hills of Simi Valley. My favorite part was going in the actual Air Force One and Marine One Helicopter. There's so much to take in but the exhibits all have a nice flow with plenty of benches to sit and relax. The library has a cafe and bar with plenty of indoor and patio seating. The Library also has a tomb where Nancy and President Reagan are buried. I loved seeing all the artifacts, which includes beams from the Twin Towers and section of the Berlin Wall. Docents were excellent! There was an audio tour available for $7 If you like history, the visit is worth it

Yelp
Visited the Reagan Library in Simi Valley on a May 2025 Sunday morning and it was an outstanding experience. I learned that Sunday mornings are less crowed that Saturday mornings. We started with the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit, a temporary exhibit that had no wait and it was a fascinating way to kick off the visit. What struck me about the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit was that the items werent replicas but the actual item dating back thousands of years. The primary Ronald Reagan museum portion offers a thoughtful and well-curated journey through Reagan's life and legacy, featuring engaging exhibits, historical artifacts and news clips. As someone who grew up in the '80s, it was both nostalgic and insightful to revisit key moments from that time. The Air Force One Pavilion is a clear highlight. As I walked through the retired aircraft, I only could think of the irony considering today's political landscape about getting a new Air Force One and how it's not about the plane but the diplomacy and global presence it takes POTUS to. What really stood out was the museum staff. They weren't just there to answer questions, they were genuinely engaged, enthusiastic and clearly proud to be part of the experience, which made the visit even more enjoyable. Outside, the views are stunning and the final resting place of Ronald and Nancy Reagan offers a peaceful and respectful end to the tour. If you're a fan of history, politics or just want a meaningful day trip with beautiful scenery, this is well worth the visit.

Yelp
This was a very educational experience. We enjoyed the whole tour. If you go to see the Dead Sea scrolls, go early. It takes about 2 to 3 hours for the tour. The Christmas trees are from places they traveled to. We spent about 7 hours seeing the library and the scrolls. They put a lot of thought into this library. We expect to visit again.

Yelp
The fam and I enjoy exploring presidential museums when we travel and get the chance. I had high expectations for the Ronald Reagan museum and it definitely met them... The museum layout of President Reagan's life was well done. I appreciated the mini-exhibits of events that occurred during his 8 year term. Assassination attempt Berlin Wall Meetings with Pope John Paul II Exploring Air Force One was phenomenal! Walking through the plane brought back memories from my childhood when I used to see it on the TV news frequently. I always wondered what it was like inside and I got to find out first hand. It was a massive display in the hangar, but the plane was actually smaller inside than I imagined. I had to remind myself that it was in service from 1972, which makes it really old. =) Traveling exhibits frequent the museum and the Star Wars exhibit was there during our visit. I'm a big Star Wars fan so this was a pleasant surprise. This museum is a definite must visit regardless of which side of the political isle you're on. Enjoy!

Yelp
WOW! Just Wow. What an amazing museum! So informative, detailed and incredibly well done. Husband and I were thoroughly impressed! Good to know: 1. This is NOT a place for kids, there is a lot of reading and kids would be so bored, don't bring them. 2. The docents are everywhere! (A little too much) but they are enthusiastic and eager to share. 3. Even if you don't agree with how Reagan was as a President, keep an open mind as to who he was as a man - honest, respectful and kind. Something that is extremely lacking these days. 4. We spent 2.5 hours here, so plan on 2-3 hours. 5. There is a cafe and bar, check prior to go if they are open. 6. There is no food or drink anywhere except the cafe.

Yelp
I'm very visual, so museums must have lots of spectacular displays and relics for me to not be underwhelmed. The Ronald Reagan Presidential Library delivered a memorable, exhilarating experience. My favourite part was definitely Reagan's Air Force One, perfectly preserved as it would have looked when it transported him. You can walk through the whole plane, as well as a chopper. I enjoyed seeing the early '80s Oval Office recreation, and some of the President's and First Lady's clothes. We were there for a special exhibit (a history of the FBI) and it was fine, but you don't need a special event to get yourself up to Simi Valley. The museum on its own is interesting enough to make the trip just for it. There's a café for lunch items as well as beer and wine, which may be needed if the crowds are obnoxious. The lines were too long and disorganised when we were there, hence the four stars.

Yelp
We came today to see the Dead Sea Scrolls. This is our second visit the the RL last being about 5 years ago. Parking lots were full, shuttle bus saved us from long uphill walk. Short wait to get registered in, we were given stickers for the scroll exhibit. We paid for and were provided with speakers that will work for all the exhibits in the library especially helped us for the scrolls. Scrolls line was long it moved slow and steady probably 30 minutes wait. The exhibit was very interesting and moving the Ten Commandments and Western wall stone were my favorite. All the artifacts were displayed with descriptions and easily viewed. The RL is staffed by friendly knowledgeable members who take pride in their jobs, they make your visit so enjoyable. The RL location, grounds and views are all beautiful and so well maintained. Air Force One's display is truly amazing your allowed to walk through the jet there's 3 RL staff members that are stationed in the jet to answer all your questions and share stories. Plan on a full day of enjoyment and history, hundreds of moving pictures videos displays of world events There's also a grill that's open for lunch with certain hours and a outstanding gift shop. We paid our respects to Nancy and president Reagan before we left for home fantastic day at the Reagan Library

Yelp
The library is surrounded by beautiful mountains and scenery. Great history and great displays. No doubt Reagan loved America and was a great American. I was no fan of George HW Bush as his VP. Reagan was not an insider like Bush and others in his cabinet. Truly one of the greatest presidents who really was a patriot. Great helpful and knowledgeable staff at the library. We also saw the dead sea scrolls tour as well. Highly recommended for all Americans to go see.

Yelp
Visiting the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum is an inspiring journey through history. Nestled atop the picturesque hills of Simi Valley, the museum offers breathtaking views that set the stage for an experience filled with patriotism and reflection. From the moment you step onto the grounds, you are transported into the legacy of Ronald Reagan - the All American, Actor, Governor, and President - a leader who truly brought out the best in America. His optimism and unwavering belief in the American spirit shine through every exhibit, reminding visitors of a time when hope and strength guided the nation. During my visit this time they had the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibition, presented by the Israel Antiquities Authority. Seeing these ancient texts in person was a humbling experience. These tiny scraps of scrolls, hidden in caves and buried under sands for centuries, connect us with a history predating much of what we know. It was incredible to see artifacts that have shaped our religious and historical understanding, offering rare glimpses into the world of the past. The Air Force One Pavilion is a marvel. The stately Air Force One aircraft stands proudly, allowing guests to walk through the same plane that carried President Reagan and other world leaders. Marine One and the Reagan motorcade - complete with his limousine and secret service vehicles - provide a tangible connection to Reagan's history. The museum beautifully chronicles Reagan's journey from his Hollywood years to his governorship and through the trials of his presidency--including the failed assassination attempt. An actual section of the Berlin Wall is a powerful reminder of Reagan's role in ending the Cold War, with his iconic challenge, "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall!" The grounds even feature an imposing F-117 Nighthawk, adding to the museum's collection. The final resting place of Ronald and Nancy Reagan is serene, a fitting tribute to their enduring legacy. A few TL;DR tips: You can't bring bags or backpacks inside. If you want to bring in bottled water, it must be in a clear bag (the museum has these at the front desk). A pleasant surprise was discovering the dining options at the museum. You can grab snacks at the charming Irish pub from Ballyporeen inside the Air Force One Pavilion, but the hidden gem is undoubtedly the Gipper's Bar and Bistro. The menu offers classic fare--salads, sandwiches, burgers, and pizza--but the BEST food is still the Reagan Family Chili (which I've written about before!). Made with bell peppers, onions, and chunks of steak, this chili is - hands down - some of the best I've ever tasted. I've made trips just for lunch, and the best part? There's no charge to get in and eat at the bistro! I have never bought tickets online; I just walk up and buy them on-site. Parking can be packed on weekends (Fridays and Mondays included), but you can easily find parking in the convenient lot during the week. If parking is full, you can park along the road you drive up to get to the museum; they have shuttles running all day.

Yelp
The Ronald Reagan Library is a gem in Simi Valley, and I would definitely recommend it for any locals and visitors to check out! I've been to the RR library before, but only as a child. So I was coming in pretty fresh. My sister and I had tickets to the Star Wars exhibit, which is definitely a must-see if you are a fan of the film saga. Even as non-fans, we enjoyed looking at all the memorabilia and learning fun facts about Reagan's SDI. My favorite part of the museum, however, would have to be Air Force One. There are a lot of replicas in the museum, so it was really cool to see the ACTUAL plane staged exactly as it would have been staged during his presidency. Even if you don't go into the museum, the views outside are absolutely gorgeous. The library is located on top of a huge hill, with beautiful views of the SFV. Gift shop, pictures, and food prices can be a little high, and the parking can be hit-or-miss. Otherwise, the Ronald Reagan Library is a great attraction to check out at any time of the year.

Yelp
This was such an incredible museum and experience. We arrived around 2:30pm and it definitely wasn't enough time to fully go through the entire museum but I still wanted to see as much as we could. We saw the most popular Air Force One area and it was incredible to be able to see and walk through it. There is so much to see and read a full day would be recommended ! I look forward to coming back and spending more time. Air Force One was amazing

Yelp
I've visited this museum twice this year and truly believe it's such a special place. My daughters are aged 7 & 8 and they both really connected to many of the exhibits. There are different hands on exhibits. The Dead Sea Scroll exhibit also is fantastic! The facility is kept clean and I loved the cafe too.

Yelp
The Ronald Reagan Museum is currently featuring the Dead Sea scrolls. The exhibit runs through September 2, 2025. Parking can be difficult during the weekend, however, they have a large lot close to the museum reserved only for disability. Please be aware that weekends are very crowded and they warn that waiting time can exceed two hours, thus, it is highly recommended that you come during weekdays. Early reservations are also best for parking and waiting time. Our entry time was 10 am. on a Saturday. We came with a church group and waited approximately 15-20 minutes. There are two sections to the museum. One part had the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit , the other section had the presidential museum. They also have a very nice coffee shop where you can get snacks or meals. Unfortunately both my husband and I have mobility issues so waiting in line and having few if any seating opportunities inside the Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit greatly limited our enjoyment and time inside. By contrast, the presidential museum was wonderful with many resting opportunities. The highlights were seeing both the insides of the presidential plane and helicopter. Highly recommend seeing.

Yelp
I'm always surprised by how much I enjoy these presidential libraries. This one has a stunning view and grounds and is where Reagan is buried, so you can visit his gravesite. It was interesting to read about his rise to politics from his beginnings at as Hollywood actor. They have some fun things to do like a room where you can read from a script and they record it and play it back on a TV that is inside the museum. Also as a note, these libraries are always great for the handicapped with elevators and ramps, so if you have elderly parents/grandparents/relatives, presidential libraries are always a good choice.

Yelp
It's not really our thing, but the in-laws love it here. They are members and go often! The grounds and history was an experience, I must say. I was familiar with so much of the things that were represented. It was an experience.

Yelp
Now this is what I call a presidential library! Gardens, views, patios, hangar, research room, and museum! If I wasn't so far away, I'd be frequenting daily. The winds were off the chart when we visited on MLK Day and Trump's inauguration. I gotta say that we were graciously greeted by some patriotic trucks donned in Trump and American flags. Parking is free and then walk to the front through the gate and grotto to the main entrance. Buy tickets online for a certain entrance time slot but you can stay as long as you want (until closing, of course). I believe you can buy there, too but since we already purchased, we were guided to verify our tickets with the desk (show your barcode from receipt) and then the guard will check your small purse. Large bags and outside food/drink are not allowed. Ticket is good for one entrance; so I wouldn't hold my breath for re-entry. Videos, plenty to read, interactive displays, and tons of memorabilia. The presidential tour takes about 3 hours to read, watch, play, and walk. This includes the hangar: the Air Force One airplane on the 3rd top floor, presidential motorcade on the 2nd floor, and Marine One helicopter on the bottom 1st floor with viewing/purchasing photos taken at Air Force One and Marine One. Loved our pictures! The photographer at Marine One was so patient with us because we kept blinking; thankfully no line was behind us. When we went, the pub (located in the hangar on the bottom 1st floor) and the café (located adjacent to the gift shop on the top 3rd floor) were closed. However, there were some expensive vending machines next to the pub. They need to add signage before you enter the eating area of the hangar that the pub is closed and where to find the café and the vending machines. I knew that I liked President Ronald Reagan and it's now solidified with the more great things I learned he's done for California and our country. He was really looking out for us, the people.

Yelp
My husband and I visited the library and museum over the Independence Day weekend. We arrived early on that Sunday, shortly after they opened. We didn't have the same trouble with long lines as others here have mentioned. The Dead Sea Scroll exhibit was the big draw for my husband. It was clear this was what most others had come for as well - the parking lot and lobby were busy when we arrived, but the presidential museum had seemed suspiciously quiet. We found everyone in the special exhibit! While it was busy and noisy in that room, we were still able to view the exhibit mostly with ease. We felt like we could have spent more time if it hadn't been as crowded - it sounds like the museum could use some more organized crowd control. Organization of the presidential museum was my chief frustration - my big draw the museum and Air Force One. There were *many* guided tours underway with docents and museum staff - we weren't a part of any of them, but the we kept getting swept into them. Tour guides and groups would bunch up in front of narrow exhibit viewing spaces and we would be forced to either integrate with them to see everything or skip viewing something entirely so we could get around the congestion. Sometimes it was impossible to get around groups without being forceful and disruptive - something I'm not happy doing in places like museums. Docents and other staff didn't seem to pay attention or notice the confusion they were causing. This was especially true in and around Air Force One - the way that the guide directed the group of 10-20 ahead of us, took up nearly the entire walking spaces, and made eye contact with us, we were made to assume that this exhibit had someone directing "traffic" through the area. We were even shuffled off with everyone else and herded to a small seating area for a break before continuing. It wasn't until this point that I noticed everyone wearing lanyards and realized our mistake. We quietly apologized to a few people around us and made our way back through the exhibits. Directions and signage through the library and ground was also somewhat lacking. Once the inside tour was over, there was no clear indication how to get out to the gardens or the final resting place of the Reagans, or where/how we could continue our self-guided tour - we hadn't been given maps or guides when we checked in. It wasn't until we were driving away that I realized we hadn't seen their gravesites. Side note: I saw someone else's review about the content of the Reagan history itself. I'm glad I wasn't alone - it was surprising to not see his first wife even mentioned as a brief side note. The omission of his response to the AIDS crisis tracks in a way that's almost comical. What I've come to accept about presidential libraries is that they're intended to be an homage to the person, created by their supporters, and will always present them in the the most positive and favorable light. A more well-balanced perspective may be found elsewhere. All told, it was a satisfying, though kind of frustrating experience. I enjoyed the Air Force One walkthrough, but wish the entire experience were more organized.

Yelp
Fantastic experience! I left knowing so much more and a greater appreciation for our 40th president! The docent, Terry, was phenomenal and so fun! Good food options, and the special exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls is a must sea for anyone who loves scripture!

Yelp
Very calm and serene environment coming in. You feel the presidential vibes with the ambiance and decor of the museum. As a visitor, there was an interesting amount of information regarding Ronald Reagan. I had fairly vibrant memories here as a kid and seeing the sights again sparked the cool feelings I had as a kid. I also happened to have prom here too in highschool and enjoyed the venue space as well!! It's very well-maintained, clean, and a nice way to enjoy nature while also enjoying the AC inside. Cool photo ops to take as well! Hard to not learn anything from here due to the various informative and interactive exhibits. Now for the limited edition Star Wars exhibit; As a Star Wars fan, I was pretty excited to see this limited showing after viewing the initial exhibits. The take on the movie series was rooted in its cultural impact and the director George Lucas, with the effort put into utiilizing technology at the time. A good amount of cool memorabilia related to the movie franchise were displayed and some movie posters. It was like a pop-up event in terms of size. Easy parking, the lot near the entrance is free and theres a disability parking lot sectioned off. Came at 2:50pm on a Saturday and found spots despite lots of cars in the lot. Some cars park on the streets. Definitely nice to view, but not something to come back very often to. - Water bottles are put in plastic bags as we arent allowed to drink while going inside

Yelp
The drive up to this museum is absolutely worth it! There's so much to see you could honestly spend a few days before finishing the entire museum, that is, if you take your time. I was fortunate enough to get in to the current dead sea scrolls exhibition (yes they have the original ones). Be prepared to wait an hour+ on weekends and most likely weekdays just to get into the exhibition and another hour+ to see the scrolls. Besides the wait for the exhibition the actual museum itself has a lot of background and history that should be seen by all. It even features an actual Boeing 707 used as Reagan's Air Force 1 and you can go inside it. I don't want to spoil too much but take your spouse, family, or go on a solo trip and explore this amazing place!

Yelp
Great Americana experience with Air Force one , the Berlin Wall, the Oval Office and a lot of interactive things for the young ones too. Beautifully kept museum and property. Nice to spend an afternoon and to enjoy a beer and even a burger at their pub or cafeteria. Super friendly staff there.

Yelp
This place is always on of my favorites even as an adult, not only are the staff beyond welcoming they are always happy to see you even if they do not know you. I will always come back to visit this place as it holds a special spot in my heart with memories.

Yelp
I came here today to visit the dead Sea scroll exhibit. It was so fascinating. I loved every minute of it. I want a group of 10 people. The ticket was about $30. They have affordable memberships for $70 on sale right now. There is easy parking and a little stroll to the museum. The dead Sea scroll exhibit is full of information and takes a good hour and a half to complete when you read everything fully like me. Seeing the Jesus boat, the Scriptures, the 10 Commandments, and how things were built back in Jerusalem was truly fascinating.

Yelp
The grounds and location are fitting for a Presidential Memorial Library, it is peaceful, beautiful and reagal with the surrounding mountains north and the Pacific Ocean to the west. You can see it all from this vantage point. The exhibits are wonderful, currently featured are the Dead Sea Scrolls. There js something for everyone who visits, beautiful views, a wonderful museum, AF One, and of course a tribute to our 40th President and First Lady, Ronald and Nancy Reagan.

Yelp
Always love coming here, went to see the Dead Scrolls and had a great time. Very interesting and educational. The Regan Library is also decorated for Christmas right now so that was fun to see. They have a full hallway of Christmas trees! The staff is so nice, would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun activity this season.

Yelp
This is our second time visiting this museum. The grounds, museum, and customer service is perfect. The docents are so knowledgeable and will answer any questions. Today, March 15, 2024 starts the Star Wars exhibit. It was so well done, we really enjoyed it. It runs until September 2024. *If you buy a membership you receive 10% off of food and gift shop. *Only part I don't agree with is you still have to pay an extra $9 a person to see the special exhibit. Doesn't seem right after you paid for a family membership. 3/15/24

Yelp
We walked in and immediately began the tour. So much to see. It was just all amazing and so detailed. Highly recommended.

Yelp
It's always a pleasure to visit the museums events. American government at it's best. The best thing this time around was the immersive experience. I was a CIA agent and only made half correct choices. We had to make decisions they were struggling with back in Ronald Reagan's term in office. It was multiple choice but important to grapple with. Loved it!

Yelp
We had been wanting to visit the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum for awhile now, but did not get the chance to, until a couple of weeks ago. I purchased admission online, weeks prior, to save the trouble of driving (all the way there) and it may be "sold out" or something, because of the Star Wars exhibit. The online website was easy to navigate - purchased our tickets, printed them, and was ready for our visit. With any venue, especially a Federal building, make sure to check what is allowed and not allowed on site. There is free parking for visitors and a "short" walk to the Library and Museum. The parking lot is not very handicap friendly though, because if one uses a wheelchair or etc., one would need to go around the entire parking lot (from the upper to the lower level), because I noticed 2 family members "walking" down their family member and then having to haul the wheelchair down the flight of stairs. All the docents and employees were very kind and answered questions one may have. The outside view was just breathtaking and the building as well, it is bigger than expected and expect a bit of walking. We started with the Star Wars exhibit, which was very crowded, and then to the rest of the Library and Museum. We learned so much about President Reagan's life, from his childhood to his Presidency. There are interactive exhibits with videos to keep one engaged. It is very informational and it was wonderful seeing many families visiting together. One can easily spend an entire day here. There are also areas for photos and they provide free digital postcards. If you would like to purchase a photo, one can also easily do that at the counter. We purchased a photo to commemorate our visit, to support the Library and Museum, a donation. It is amazing to see Air Force One, Marine One, and the Motorcade in-person as well! As much as I love Star Wars, due to the tightness of the exhibit and the crowd, I actually have to say that the Ronald Reagan Library and Museum was my favorite. There was so much going on during his Presidency, and it amazes me all that he did during his lifetime. I wouldn't mind coming again in the future, even with the long drive, especially with the breathtaking views from the outside patio, the well-kept Library and Museum, and to read what I missed during my visit. There were also conveniently located restrooms throughout the Library and Museum, very well thought out layout.
