"Chef Rong opened this little gem tucked away in an alley in 2021. The room is reminiscent of a Japanese diner, with its wooden counter enclosing an open kitchen. The eclectic menu covers Taiwanese, Japanese and Western dishes in smaller portions so that guests can sample more variety. Signature items include braised pork rice with sakura shrimps – the hand-diced pork is fatty and melty, Job’s tears and rice that’s rich and creamy. Reservations are mandatory." - Michelin Inspector

Everything here is delicious. Suitable for young and old people. I personally enjoy the Boston Lobster and Truffle Pork Chop

The food was so so so good! The service was really great and the VIP room had karaoke even. Loved the double boiled soup and the peanut bingsu. Will come back again to try the dim sum!

I just held my wedding banquet here, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! Everything was run by a team of professionals — many of my family members couldn’t stop complimenting their remarkable service and amazing food! The dishes were exceptionally delicious, and the sound system was crisp and clear throughout the night. A huge shout-out to Yuki & Yvonne from Rong Cuisine Quayside — thank you both for your incredible help and support in making our big day so smooth and memorable! 👏✨

Went on a Sunday morning for dim sum. The siu mai, har gow, etc were great. The best was the battered fried lo bak gou. It was something I've never had before and it was fantastic, crispy, light and super flavourful. The fried rice was huge, we totally did not expect it to be such a big portion. The mango shaved ice was great. Overall 8/10

Attended friend wedding at Quay Hall which served as wedding banquet vanue for Rong Cuisine. Crystal down light, very spacious, clean and each table was spread out with confortable and adequade privacy. Food were extremely deicious esp the first course which served 3 delicacies i.e. abalone slice with plum sauce, meat springroll with filling of duck egg yolk, crab and others as well as stir fry vegetable. Sharp fin soup was thick and went well with vinegar. Their dong po meat was worth metioning as got "gucha" taste. Quality food!! Waiter service was not attentive as we have to segregate food among ourselves unlike other restaurant.

Attended a wedding dinner here. The banquet food is honestly good if not a touch better. Comparable to the oriental, tai thong, pik wah or any of the other big names. Service is impeccable, a lot of youthful energy employed here, which makes a difference. The air-conditioning caters to a large crowd, it's strong yet comfortable. Carpet is plush and thick. Toilets just to the rear - clean and modern. Hall accommodates 50 tables. Stage is large enough for a 3 piece band, champagne table and a two families. AV system also crisp. Carparking is easy on the upper levels. Views from here are great.

Food is good! This is sort of my go to place for good sweet and sour pork as they serve it on ice (crispy, savoury and tomato sauce is good). Dropped by during CNY and ordered the ala carte menu. And everything was yummy. portion was alright and price was also reasonable. The fruit yee sang was amazing as well but to our surprise, it’s expensive! (if i recall correctly it was RM128) Would recommend this place if you are looking for good chinese food that doesn’t break your wallet.

We just celebrated a birthday here last night and I was happy with the experience. Food was very nice with 5 of 6 dishes being a hit... especially the lychee balls (deep fried prawn balls) and stewed chicken in fuzhou red wine. Service was a highlight as they kept our tea topped up, removed empty dishes quickly and made sure everything we ordered was ok. However, atmosphere was bad because of the constant amount of flies. It totally spoiled a good meal. A few pointers to get 5 stars: 1. Get rid of the flies!!! 2. The award winning dong po pork was really good but it was 2/3rds fat and 1/3rd meat. If they reduced the fat, it would be perfect. 3. The stir fried mushrooms were ok but it was expensive (I think RM38) and it was our least favourite of the 6 dishes. Overall, we had a good time and would come back again if they got rid of the flies.
