荣 Rong's Wantan Noodle

Noodle super springy, good texture, first time eating such texture Char Siew was not bad even tho look like cardboard. But tasted good! Wanton was quite normal. Meat too little, I expected the wanton to have more taste and meat. For the price, not worth it. $8 is quite steep. Cashier uncle service was poor, sounded pissed off 24/7. But not surprising and wasn’t rude.

5.50 for small wanton noodle. 6.50 for big. 6.50 for curry chicken and noodle set. Noodle is not bad. Wanton is nice. Char siew is lacking and needs improvement, not grilled to crispy. Pork oil cube, green chilli and spicy sauce is nice and fully self service. Adds to the flavour but you need to adjust the sauce yourself to your tasting.

friend bought @Eng’s wanton noodles at Tanjong Katong $5.50 wantin noodles still very good..wanton char siew & larpok (crispy lard) ok, noodles chilli very good curry chicken and curry ok but only 3 pieces = 1.5 wings for $5.80 not very acceptable & coffee next door 29.8.2025

The wantan noodles were too salty for our liking. Saving grace was the fried wantan. Service was good.

Tried this at a friend’s place who ordered takeaway. I was excited initially but ended up disappointed. The thick noodles stuck together to form one soggy mess. While there were plenty of ingredients, they lacked flavor. The much-raved chili was spicy but didn’t enhance the bland noodles.

The wonton is mushy. Only the noodles are ok. The Ngoh Xiang is bad. Chilli sauce not good. Over priced. Jia Lat

Hand made noodle taste nice.. The chilli is really spicy.. add on your own level of spiciness. The vegetable still quite decent compared to many other stores. The wanton can be bigger.. Char siew quite normal.. Try some before taking their free pork lard.. I like pork lard.. But their for me and my friend find it oily even it's dried. You can taste oil.. not the fragrant of the pork lard.. Also not so crispy at all.. The soup is surprisingly nice.. For the price of $5.50 for a regular size of noodle still can improve on some of the ingredients.. The store is quite spacious on the table arrangement.. They still have curry chicken and other fried prawn fritters.. will try out next time.. We went before 5pm.. so not much crowd inside.. One more thing.. we supposed to look for Eng Wanton Mee... from the Google map.. But Google maps brought us here.. but later understanding from them that they change the name to Rong's Wanton Mee..

Ordered their recommended curry rice set based on their menu Oh my. Self declared recommendations should be avoid at all costs. Curry taste definitely from instant curry paste. Salty as well. Will NEVER patronise this store again
